it took me years to find anything that's works for my dry sensitive skin let alone work to help me style and detangle my 4C hair. SKIN ROUTINE: I only trust Noxzema facial cleansers to not break me out and actually CLEAN my skin. I also recommend a soft bristle spin brush to help scrub. (I strongly recommend getting the NOXZEMA - Ultimate Clear Daily Deep Pore Cleanser
The one in my photo has tiny beads that are hard to wash off without soaking your shirt) Be sure to pat dry your face. Next I use the ANDALOU NATURALS - CannaCell Hydrating Toner
. This product contains "hemp stem cells", not too sure what that does but it sure does help keep moisture in. It has a citrus scent as well. You can spray about 2-3 times in a cotton pad but I usually just spray on the hands and rub it into my skin. The HONEST - Hydrogel Cream
is the best thing I've ever used. I used to pay $50-$60 for the Murad - Nutrient-Charged Water Gel
and never has it ever held in moisture all DAY. I never had to put lotion on my face again. My face never dried up again!!! 4C HAIR CARE: The TANGLE TEEZER - The Large Wet Detangler Hairbrush
and Carol's Daughter - Hair Milk 4-in-1 ''Combing'' Crème
I've only seen used on type 3 hair and was almost positive that it would not work for me. Was I extremely wrong. On wet hair the tangle teaser is the best detangler I've EVER USED. I was depressed and my hair was matted from neglect and it made the process of reviving my hair so much more tolerable. The 4 in 1 Hair milk, I used after detangling a section and applied from the ends to the roots, then brushed over them again. I wouldn't say to use this as a styling cream with type 4 hair because my hair instantly puffed back up but it did keep it soft and moisturized all day. For daily moisture I recommend using the AS I AM - DoublebButter Cream

Best Leave-In Conditioners for Type 3A Curls
Happy Sunday everyone, As promised, here are the best leave-in conditioners that I have/or continue to use that have worked best on me. Just a reminder that I have type 3A curls and have also thin hair, so it may not work best for everyone. However, I just wanted to share them because they are also pretty underrated and unknown in the industry. aussie - Miracle Curls with Coconut Oil Paraben Free Detangling Milk Treatment The name speaks for itself honestly. This is my FAVORITE leave in conditioner so far. I cannot emphasize the difference in my hair when I used this product and then switched to try other leave-ins. The difference was so overwhelming that I decided to stick with it. You will notice that I use a lot of conditioning that has milk and has detangling properties because part of taking care of our hair is keeping it moistured (NOT WITH PURE OILS) and not allowing it to get too tangled. I will post, in the near future, other tips on how to minimize tangling in curly hair, so stay tuned! I also like that this product has small quantities of Coconut and Jojoba oil. While I NEVER recommend buying and applying pure oil, the fact that these are blended with milk allows for the properties of these oils to work more effectively without clogging your hair shafts. Coconut oil helps PROVIDE more moisture, while Jojoba oil helps SEAL in that moisture. Also, jojoba oil is the oil most similar to out bodies’ natural sebum, so this eases into our hair much more effectively that the other oils. You won’t see these mixtures in common products, so I highly recommend. Carol's Daughter - Hair Milk 4-in-1 ''Combing'' Crème This is another great product that I also use! What I do is use the Miracle Curls right after I wash my hair and style it. I use the Carol’s Daughter product on a daily basis to retouch my hair before going out. It’s really nice to use due to its detangling, styling, defining, and shining properties! And without the need of adding oils, which I like. novex by EMBELLEZE - My Curls Memorizer Leave In A product from Brazil that I really love! I’m definitely thinking of going back to this once the Carol’s Daughter product is completely consumed to see how it works alongside the Miracle Curls. The uniqueness of this product is the use of cranberry which help maintain a healthy and non-irritant scalp with its antioxidant, antibacterial, AND anti-inflammatory properties. And it also has a blend of oils in SMALL quantities that help moisturize and seal that moisture for a healthy hair without clogging the hair shafts. Please let me know how your hair feels if you decide to try these products for yourself! I would love to see if these posts are helping anyone, as that is the goal! Take care!
Curly Hair Routine
Hey guys! This is my current hair routine 🤗👩🏽‍🦱 ~ i was my hair about 3 times a week ~ All my life i disliked my hair. It was super frizzy, unmanageable, and I was very insecure about it, up until this year. I stopped being lazy, educated myself on my hair type and was able to find beauty in my natural hair. Now i absolutely love doing my hair! it’s a lot of work & takes a lot of effort but i wouldn’t trade it for anything else. 💋 Now for the breakdown of the products: tgin - Rose Water Leave-In Conditioner Right after my wash i apply this leave in conditioner and rake it through my hair, making sure it covers every strand. I absolutely love the smell of this!!! Carol's Daughter - Hair Milk 4-in-1 ''Combing'' Crème Then i apply this super lightweight creme. It is very hydrating & smells soooo good. I’ve also noticed this product definitely makes all the difference in my hair. Support black owned businesses!! 🖤 DevaCurl - Light Defining Gel Soft Hold No-Crunch Styler After i flip my hair upside down and begin scrunching this product throughout my hair. What i love about this product is that it does exactly what it’s names. Super soft gel that does not leave a nasty crunch feel behind. Great for holding that shape. Lastly i diffuse my hair till it is about 80% dry ogx - Nourishing Coconut Oil Weightless Hydrating Oil Mist I finish it off with this spray, it’s great, efficient and inexpensive! & that’s it! 💞💓💗 Let me know if you guys try any of these out. Would you guys like more hair related posts? If you have an other suggestions or questions please leave a comment! 🤍
Versed Skin Soak Rich Moisture Cream
VERSED - SKIN SOAK Rich Moisture Cream This moisturizer has vitamin e, algae extract, and squalane (it hydrates and replenishes the skin). Versed recommends that oily skin types only use this as a PM moisturizer, but drier skin types can use this for AM and PM. 👉🏻I like this moisturizer, but nothing beats HONEST - Hydrogel Cream . The Versed moisturizer is a very rich cream when you apply it to the skin, and soaks into the skin very quickly. I have dry skin, so I prefer moisturizers that leave a little residue on the skin to help retain the moisture. This moisturizer would work better as a AM moisturizer for me. If I use it as a PM moisturizer, I have to add a little face oil on top to help seal in the moisture. 💵This face cream is $17.99 at Target. It’s a decent price for the amount of product in the jar. This product would last a long time, Versed recommends using a pea sized amount and trust me, a little of this product goes a long way! ♻️Another thing I love about Versed; this container is recyclable (most of their product’s containers are). You just have to clean out the container and put it in your curbside recycling!
NEW FIND! And I’m pleasantly surprised!?
It was time to get a new moisturizer. I was currently using the HONEST - Hydrogel Cream paired with the PAULA'S CHOICE - Omega+ Complex Moisturizer , RADHA BEAUTY - Rosehip Oil , and timeless SKIN CARE - Squalane Oil 100% Pure because I have pretty dry skin. I love both of those moisturizers (although I’m not fond of all the Paula’s choice Omega+ complex moisturizer ingredients, but I loooooove the texture and feeling of it ) and love my oils (I won’t stop using the oils), but knew I needed a richer cream and also wanted to keep it down to just one cream, for time and my bank accounts sake. So if you’ve seen my last post, I was deciding between 3 brands but I couldn’t decide and was also nervous to try a new moisturizer, even though I knew I needed one, because I’m also acne prone so a new moisturizer to me was just terrifying lol. I was about to just get my usual HONEST - Hydrogel Cream because I knew it didn’t break me out and I like it a lot, although not quite as moisturizing as I need, it was on the safer side and I can’t imagine going a day without a moisturizer on this Sahara desert of a face!!! But then I discovered this brand I’ve never seen before? It’s called Awake Human. It’s not even a listing on Cherie for me to add the product! I read the ingredients and was intrigued (scroll through pics to see ingredients list), but because of my fear of new moisturizers, I was hesitant.. but I decided to bite the bullet because the ingredients looked amazing, was cheaper than Paula’s choice and the honest beauty’s moisturizer, but had the same amount of product. I received it a few days ago and I am in love!!!!! Soooooo rich and creamy and hydrating feeling, and it had the same smooth, rich, texture as the Paula’s Choice omega moisturizer, that I love so much!!! It comes in a nice little pump type of packaging, which I like. Keeps bacteria and gunk out. If you scroll through my pictures, you’ll see it. And a little bit goes a long way! The picture you see of the product on my fingers is the amount I use, but you can totally use less, especially if you have more oily or normal skin. I just like a lot of moisturizer! Lol I’ve noticed my face is much less dry feeling and looks smoother with less texture. I will keep you updated, but I think this is my new fave!!!! I’m so excited lol. Here the link the purchase: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07NWXJYVK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glc_fabc_YHI-Fb9BRJKT0?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 If you’re hesitant but intrigued like I was, I strongly encourage you to just try it. And if it happens that doesn’t work for your face, because remember, everyone is different and skincare is not a one size fits all, then it would most definitely be a really really nice hand cream, that would fit nicely in your bag. Have you heard of this brand before? And if so, have you used anything from them?

New moisturizer alert!✨
So I took the advice of many on my last post and decided to drop the Murad - Nutrient-Charged Water Gel . I was disappointed to do so, considering I have had such great luck in the past with other Murad products, but sadly this wasn’t it for me! Although this stuff went on like BUTTER, I found out it had some pretty heavy duty sulfate properties in it, which is a big no-no for my pores and acne prone skin. The fragrance was also incredibly strong, which I didn’t quite mind as that stuff has never truly bothered me in the past, but after a weird breakout once incorporating that product, as well as the COSRX - Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence, and reading all the kind and helpful replies, I said goodbye to the moisturizer and returned it for.....🥁🥁🥁 COSRX - Propolis Light Cream !!! Now, finally an entire K-Beauty routine!! I have only been using the cream for about two days, however, it’s genuinely as soft as the Murad moisturizer , if not more. Plus, NO fragrance! and NO sulfates!!!! The last two days I’ve woken up, my skin has for once felt so hydrated in the morning, not too oily, and not too dry! I will keep tabs on this one for sure, before I give it too much credit, but I think she’s likely to stay safe and sound in my routine 😂 Have you ever tried this product? What did you think?!
This Moisturizer Saved My Skin
I lost a real one today guys. Through some of my worst skin moments the Murad - Nutrient-Charged Water Gel has been with me through it all. My skin is very acne prone so I needed an oil free moisturizer that would intensely hydrate my skin. This fits the bill perfectly. It’s so so rich and feels amazing and cooling on the skin. It is very lightweight, but the feeling does linger on your skin for a while. It’s not enough for me to take marks off because of how hydrating it is though. The product claims you only need a dime sized amount, but I definitely use more than that (maybe a quarter size?) every time. It is quite expensive coming in at $62 for 1.7 oz, but I can’t say enough about how amazing it is so if you have oily, acne prone skin, but still need hydration I highly recommend you try this out. PS the last of my product did end up drying up into a solid gel, but due to it being a water based product you can go ahead and add a few drops of tap water to reconstitute it and it’s good as new!!

No More Tangles & No More Tears
FINALLY A BRUSH PERFECT FOR NATURAL CURLS! In the past, brushing my curly hair was always a very painful experience. I would have to have very wet and conditioned hair for the detangling process to be possible.  TANGLE TEEZER - The Large Wet Detangler Hairbrush I bought this just to check out one more brush for my forever tangled hair and I was amazed. When it came i thought, this is not gonna work because the touch you feel is kind of soft. However, i washed my hair and after a couple of shampooing when is really tangled I usually try to detangled with conditioner so I thought here goes nothing and I actually didn’t need that much effort, it actually detangled and I didn’t went bald or with a headache, cause I have long hair and usually takes me a long time to detangled. With the tangle teezer, I have not experienced any pain, even on day five hair. This brush melts knots on damp, conditioned, curly hair and defines your curls at the same time. I recommend this brush for detangling and styling curly hair. Truly a game-changer for me after solely using a wide-tooth calm (PAINFUL) in the past. Honestly i might buy another one just to have a backup just in case, but this brush made my day, well actually my life :) cause I’ve spent so much money on brushes and they don’t work and this simple one surprised me.  The only complaint is that the brush does not have a great grip. I often find it slipping in my hand when it is wet or covered in conditioner. Otherwise, 10/10 would recommend for my fellow curly hair shoppers!
My Go-To Hairstyle!
I always feel my best when my hair looks it’s best haha! For me my best looking hair is a messy but glam, perfectly imperfect disheveled styling. I love this look because it’s sexy and easy to achieve and frames the face well. This effortless looking style perfectly accompanies my personal style and always gets me compliments. I have really fine hair so this gives it the illusion of volume and density. I find this look takes me about 15 to 20 min to create. It’s perfect for a Date with a hottie or a night out. Here’s how I get my look! 1. After I’ve allowed my hair to air dry after a shower I section it off using clips. I take the top portion of my hair at the crown and lift it away to reveal the lower layers. 2. I then go in using my Bio Ionic Graphine MX curing wand, curing pieces of hair towards my face and away from it starting from the back of the head to the front, rotating the barrel clockwise for one piece then counterclockwise for another, except the pieces that frame my face which I curl away from my face. Using this technique gives my hair a natural looking curl. I love this wand because it’s less damaging to my hair and it has a long barrel which speeds up the process. 3. After Curling my hair completely I will set the style using the iconic L’oreal Elnett extra strong hold hairspray. This hairspray helps hold the curl in my pin straight hair. This is the hairspray that’s been used on me backstage at shows my entire career and it really works, it’s a fashion week essential! 4. Taking my Tangle Teaser hair brush I then brush out the curls to give my hair a more wavy texture. This brush is very gentile on my fine hair, I also love that you can use this brush on wet and dry hair so it’s efficient. 5. For extra shine, moisture, and a beautiful scent I apply the Balmain Hair Couture Silk Mist all over my head. I’ve been using this product literally since it first came out and it really gives my hair a luxurious feel. It has Argan oil in it which nourishes dryness. I recommend this product to anyone who needs moisture, scent, and shine all in one product! Just don’t spray too much or your hair will look greasy. 6. I finish the style with a few sprays of the Oribe Dry Texturizing spray. This amazing smelling spray gives me a boost of volume and makes my hair look perfectly tussled! It’s not quite a dry shampoo and not quite a typical texture spray, it’s kinda a hybrid of the two. This Is another product I discovered backstage at shoots and shows, and has stayed on my beauty counter for years. If you want to treat yourself to something bougie this is the finishing spray for you!

So bliss really knocked it out
So bliss really knocked it out of the park with the latest launch of their rose gold line for sensitive skin! I can't tell you how great it is to find such an accessible and affordable line that has gentle and effective products. You can literally get an entire skincare routine for under 50 bucks, and they have super luxurious textures, no added fragrance, and are very hydrating. Unheard of! The entire line could easily pass for expensive products 3x the price. The Bliss Rose Gold Rescue Cream is SOOOO good I find myself reaching for it over much more expensive moisturizers, I'm not kidding. It's a thick cream in the jar but spreads out like silk and feels incredibly restorative (swipe to see texture). Ingredients are stellar with Shea butter, panthenol, oat kernel oil, chamomile extract, hydrolyzed silk, and a ton of soothing extracts. For a product you can get at Target for $18.99, I'm so impressed. This cream is perfect for combination to dry skin types and amazing for sensitive skin. The foaming cleanser is a great option for a soothing, non drying cleanser with a pH of 6 according to my testing strips. It feels very gentle and a tiny bit foams up into a luxurious lather. The toner mist is the only thing I haven't yet tried much, but the few times I've sprayed it on it feels very refreshing. The spray mechanism is very interesting in that it sprays a very continuous even mist despite not being aerosol.

bliss Rose Gold Rescue collect
bliss Rose Gold Rescue collection for sensitive skin, this trio arrived at my doorstep with perfect timing. They’re perfectly packaged in blush pink and rose gold and, like all Bliss products, they’re super affordable. Not to play favorites, but the Gentle Foaming Cleanser is really amazing. I love a good foaming cleanser because they leave my skin feeling clean, but can tend to be drying. This cleanser has a milky, creamy foam that works gently to clean the skin and rinses clean. It doesn’t leave my skin feeling tight or dry. It also has a slightly iridescent sparkle due to the colloidal gold and a subtle rose scent from rose water. The Soothing Toner Mist is a gorgeous rose water based toning spray that soothes and refreshes the skin. I love the convenience factor of toning sprays and this one is lovely. It feels soothing and doesn’t irritate my skin at all. Last, but certainly not least, is the Gentle Moisture Cream. This moisturizer has a somewhat thick, balm-like texture; not unlike a night cream, but melts into the skin with little effort. It doesn’t leave any greasy residue or feel heavy once it’s absorbed and has a subtle rose scent. I will say that, as someone with dry skin, it’s not quite hydrating enough for me. While I do love the texture, I think it may be better suited to those with normal to oily skin. I’ll definitely give it another go when the weather gets warmer and my skin isn’t so temperamental. I found the entire collection to be calming and soothing.

ATOPALM - Extreme Cream ATOPALM - Cream cleansing foam ATOPALM - Cleansing Oil Balm ATOPALM - Extreme Essence Toner ATOPALM - Extreme Cream The products main focus is to hydrate and strengthen ones skin’s natural barrier. Formulated for dry and sensitive skin. ————————————— Cleansing oil balm: It’s a balm that’s turns milky to effectively clean off dirt and makeup which leaves your skin moisturized. It’s silicone and mineral oil free. 💭 My thoughts: It has a very mint citrusy scent to it. I tested it out with a face full of makeup and find it to remove most of the makeup but not all. My skin feels very soft after using this product . Doesn’t feel like my skin has been stripped or drying. ————————————— Cream cleaning foam: A highly moisturizing cleansing foam that protects the skin barrier with a hydrating texture without dryness as if applying a cream. 💭 my thoughts: Just like the cleaning oil balm it has a citrusy mint scent to it. This product is very creamy that turns foamy when working it on the skin. As the balm it did not strip my skin and leaving my skin feeling hydrated. ———— Extreme essence toner: An advanced replenishing toner with double benefits! Light as a toner and nourishes deeply as a essence. This essence toner hydrates and nourishes skin deeply at the same time. 💭 my thoughts: I like to apply any essence or toner with my hands for better absorption of the product. I really like the fact that it’s a toner and an essence . It does also have a citrusy mint scent to it but the scent is not as strong as the balm and the foam. It has a very thick consistency to it but it turns into a watery texture when applying onto the skin. It’s fast absorbing and leaving my skin feeling awake and refreshed. ———— Extreme cream ampoule: A weightless cream ampoule that gives your skin moisture that it lacks. 💭 my thoughts: I love the how the product is dispenses . You only need a few drops of it . It is definitely weightless and fast absorbing. Feels like my skin was craving for it. Leaving my skin feeling soft and hydrated. Unlike the other products so far this one does not have a scent to it. ———— Extreme cream: This rich cream was developed for those with serious dry skin. It has long lasting moisture benefits that helps repair damaged skin barrier. 💭 my thoughts: This product has a light citrusy scent but barely noticeable. It’s quite a heavy cream that’s packed with moisture! I like this cream a lot since it feels like it’s locking in all the moisture and products that I placed on my skin before hand. Leaving my skin feeling soft , plump, supple , and hydrated throughout the day. ———— Overall: I really like these products a lot! My skin did not breakout from it and no irritation. All of these products leave my skin feeling moisturized without fail! Have you tried these products? How was your experiences?

Question, how many cleansers do you rotate through? Do you switch it up or stick to one until it’s gone? . I’ve probably got three on rotation right now including this new one from @milkmakeup I decided to add this into my routine as I’ve been using a lot of treatments and could use some extra nourishment in my life . —— From the brand - Milk MAKEUP - Vegan Milk Cleanser Gentle-yet-effective, sulfate-free vegan face wash. Fragrance-Free. For normal to dry skin. Good for sensitive skin. Desert Milk, Fig Milk, Shea Butter, Oat Milk, Grapeseed Oil and Squalane are just some of the vitamin rich ingredients you’ll find in this beauty. Retails for $30 . —— This ones a beauty to cleanse with. Starts off like a moisturizer and turns into a lovely milky lather once water is added. My skin feels clean and silky smooth. . I’ve been able to sample their Milk MAKEUP - Vegan Milk Moisturizer as well and loved it! It felt very rich and thick but sank so easily into my skin. It’s definitely on my wish list to add to my collection. . Have you tried either the cleanser or moisturizer? I’d love for you to share your thoughts. . A big thank you to @cherie for the opportunity to give this a try. I was fortunate enough to receive this in one of the boxes I won during their weekly picks. I have a special place in my h
I have a special place in my heart for Clinique because the brand is actually the first that I used when I started to be more mindful of my skin. They had their 3-steps kits based on your skin type and it was the best ever that happened to me. I had really dry skin and I purchased the dry-skin kit first, I didn’t even use toners then and the toner actually did so much for me; my skin started to clear up, it got brighter and also really refreshing. I fell in love with toners from Clinique’s Clarifying Lotion nr 1 I no longer use it now because I have my other favourites. I have sensitive dry/combination skin which means that I have to switch items from winter to summer to fit my skin type. Let’s talk about the items in this picture. 🔅Clinique liquid facial soap: I don’t like this one, it says that it’s for dry to combination skin but I feel that it should be for oily skin types. It also irritated my sensitive skin although it does not contain fragrance. 🔅Clinique clarifying lotion 3: this toner is for oily skin types and it is perfect when I visit warmer countries during summer. I get really really oily and this was a saviour for my oily skin during those times. It’s a no no when I’m back in Sweden though because it will dry my skin out! 🔅Rince off foaming cleanser: I love this one, it’s great when I’ve used an oil based cleanser and when I use my Clinique Sonic system brush. I only use this cleanser when I’ve been wearing heavy make up though. 🔅Dramatically different moisturising gel and lotion+ : the gel is for oilier skin types and the lotion+ is for dryer skin types. So one is for summer and the other for winter. They work fine as a moisturiser, they don’t do anything else other then moisturising my skin so I use these when I feel like my skin needs a break from all the other ingredients and just need more moisture.
