Good bye ingrown underarm hair!

JuniperSinclair
I’ve always had sensitive skin and shaving is so irritating. I’ve struggled with ingrown hairs since I started removing hair from my body. Thanks to this app, I’ve read so many good things about using The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution
on your body to help with ingrown hair so I gave it a try. I paired this solution with THE CHEMISTRY BRAND - Inhibitif Deodorant
and it’s been life changing!! Less hair growth, less odor and bye bye ingrown hairs! It’s my dream team for underarms!!!

Morning routine updated
Ok I’ve made a few changes to my routine and sometimes I keep switching a few things in and out depending on the day.... I start with The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution which I love. I think glycolic acid is an important ingredient to have in your routine for oily skin and wrinkles and even acne too. I always use insta natural - Zinc Vitamin C Serum but I go between also using insta natural - Age Defying & Skin Clearing Serum which I love for acne, insta natural - Dark Spot Corrector I don’t notice a huge difference with this but it has great ingredients or insta natural - Skin Brightening Serum, Anti-Aging that has alpha arbutin to help brighten dark spots or hyperpigmentation. So I alternate with those! Love using COSRX - Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence to have a dewy glow and helps with skin texture and pigmentation issues I’ve recently added The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% to help with acne and oily skin and love it too. I top with a thin layer of Clindamycin gel and then moisturizer which I alternate also between a few different ones. BEEKMAN 1802 - Bloom Cream Daily Probiotic Moisturizer has great ingredients but a funky old woman smell I do not like, thank goodness I only have a sample size.... Honest has a great soothing moisturizer I’ve tried and also ARBONNE has a great calming moisturizer as well as a lightweight jelly moisturizer I go between. Then I do a few drops of The Ordinary - Ascorbic Acid 8% + Alpha Arbutin 2% and I’m done. I usually let it sit for awhile or at least a good 5 minutes while I do my eye makeup and eyeliner before I use any face makeup but I love the texture of my skin so far using this all together.

Reviewing My Followers Skincare Routines pt. 3
Hey y’all! Today’s post is part 3 of 4 of my Reviewing My Followers Skincare Routines series. In today’s post we’re covering @geralorentas and @robynkenner ! Starting with @geralorentas. She starts out by cleansing with theCeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser which costs $13 for 8 fl oz. This cleanser has super gentle exfoliating agents, as well as glycerin and Hylaronic acid which are very hydrating. Next she uses theRENÉE ROULEAU - Rapid Response Detox Toner which costs $41 for 6 fl oz. This toner, as far as toners go, is pretty good. Its main draws are Salicylic acid and Lactic acid which are great for dealing with acne. Next she uses theSKIN GRAMMAR - Super Good Repair Essence which costs $38 for 5.7 fl oz. This essence has Nicinamide and glycerin, as well as a ton of ceramides. Unfortunately it has orange peel oil. Citrus oils a extracts are extremely irritating to the skin because they are acidic, so I have to say no to this essence. Next she uses the RENÉE ROULEAU - Vitamin C&E Treatment which costs $69 for 1 fl oz. It has glycerin, Vitamin E, and Vitamin C, but again it has citrus oils and extracts which make this another no for me. Then to moisturize she goes in with the#Dr. zenovia - Peptide + Ceramide Moisturizer[products]#[FourStars] which costs $79 for 1.7 fl oz. This moisturizer has ceramides and glycerin. Finally she goes in with theLA ROCHE-POSAY - Anthelios XL Anti-shine Dry Touch Facial Sunscreen SPF50+ which I couldn’t find the price for. It’s a really good basic sunscreen. So that’s @geralorentas routine. For her I would recommend getting rid of the essence and the treatment, but otherwise the products seem great! Moving on to @robynkenner. She starts with a double cleanse, and we’ll talk in a minute about what she’s doing wrong. She starts with the The Ordinary - Squalane Cleanser which costs $7.90 for 1 fl oz. The main ingredients in this are squalane and glycerin. A lot of people complain that this cleanser is so gentle is barely cleans, but it seems to work for @robynkenner. Then she uses theMurad - Clarifying Cleanser which costs $32 for 6.75 fl oz. The main draw for this product is Salicylic acid, but again it’s a no because of citrus oils and extracts as well as fragrance. Now I mentioned that she’s double cleansing wrong. Double cleansing isn’t just using 2 cleansers, it’s specifically using an oil based cleanser and then a water based cleanser. (Check out my post on double cleansing for more information) In this case, @robynkenner is using 2 water based cleansers which can be stripping to the skin, and isn’t considered double cleansing. She mentioned she started doing this because her skin didn’t feel clean with just the first cleanse, and I think this might be because the Squalane Cleanser is too gentle. Next she uses theNeutrogena - Hydro Boost Eye Gel-Cream which costs $25 for .5 fl oz. First off, eye cream should be at the end of a routine. The eye cream itself is great though. Next she usesThe Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution which costs $8.70 for 8 fl oz. I talked about this product in pt. 1, but in short it’s really good. And finally she uses the FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Cream which costs $36 for 6 fl oz. This is a nice super thick basic moisturizer. So in conclusion @robynkenner, I’d try to find a new cleanser, then just add your eye cream after moisturizer instead of early in the routine. That’s all for pt. 3! Please cheer for this post if you liked it, comment below your favorite cleansers to help out @robynkenner, and follow me to join the family and for similar content. -Mae

The Ordinary Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA fades scars
The Ordinary Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA fades scars
About a year ago I banged my ankle on one of those stupid bird scooter things and it immediately swelled up and bruised in the worst possible way. I think it took a full 6 months before it stopped hurting and the bruising went down but a year later I still had what I would describe as a bruise shadow. I don't know if there's a technical term for it, but its a noticeable dark spot that just would not go away. Anyway, earlier this year I accidentally bought some Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA from the Ordinary because it had been shelved wrong at Ulta. I tried it on my face and within a month it had evened out my freckles which always come out in full force in the summer. I was actually blown away at how well it worked on my face I decided to try it on a few dark spots on my legs, including this bruise. The only skin I'm really self conscious about besides my face is my lower legs. Over the years I've hacked them to sh*t hiking, climbing, running, and doing crazy outdoor stuff so my legs are covered in spots and scars. Since I was done using the AA 2% + HA on my face I figured why not try it on my legs. Within a month of spotty use I feel like I'm actually seeing the bruise shadow fade! I never really considered using TO stuff on other spots on my body, but because it's so inexpensive I really don't feel bad experimenting with it and I'm pretty stoked that it seems to be working. Might be worth a shot if you struggle with spots elsewhere on your body as well. Full routine out of the shower daily: 1. The Ordinary - Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA one drop on each spot on my legs, rub in and wait for it to dry. 2. DERMELECT - Runway Ready Luxury Foot Treatment on my feet and ankles Love this.... makes my feet look post-pedi every day! Also fragrance free! 3. CeraVe - Moisturizing Cream For Normal To Dry Skin on my legs all the way up to my waist. 4. PALMER'S - Cocoa Butter Formula Oil With Vitamin E over the CeraVe. Another game changer, I feel like it gives my legs a little glow without being in the sun.

Quarantine Glowup: Underarm Edition 🙋🏼‍♀️
Quarantine Glowup: Underarm Edition 🙋🏼‍♀️
A part of our body that we really tend to overlook is our armpits, especially in the wintertime. I have always been so self conscious about my underarms because they have always been dark and bumpy. During this quarantine time that we have, I am using it to get my underarms in shape for summer! The first thing I am doing regularly is using either a physical exfoliant (Frank Body’s Coffee Scrub) or a chemical exfoliant (The Ordinary’s Lactic Acid) on my underarms 2-3 times per week. Both of these are very gentle on the skin, but I still feel like both of them clear out my pores and help reduce the bumps. I am also trying to treat them like the skin on my face and moisturize my underarms EVERY day! I am using Gold Bond’s Rough and Bumpy Skin Lotion. I have used this for KP bumps on my legs for years and it is great for moisturizing and also providing additional exfoliation! Another thing I have started over this time is using a natural deodorant! I sweat a lot and struggle with odor, so this is a big step for me! There has not been a ton of research done on the topic, but I have seen some articles stating that bumpy underarms are sometimes caused by aluminum buildup. So I am switching to Kopari, which is a natural, coconut oil-based deodorant. I figure that the coconut oil will help with moisturizing my underarms as well! I got the original coconut milk scent and I am very pleased with it so far! The smell is pleasant and it feels quite nourishing for my underarms. I haven’t noticed an overwhelming amount of sweating either! I have only been following this routine for about a week now, but I am extremely pleased with all of the products I have used so far and I am excited to see the results in a few weeks!

Let’s Talk: The Ordinay AHA/BHA Peel
Let’s Talk: The Ordinay AHA/BHA Peel
Info: This a chemical peel comprised of 30% AHA (Glycolic/Lactic/Tartaric/Citric), 2% BHA (Salicylic Acid), Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin B5, Black Carrot and Tasmanian Pepperberry. 💥AHA/BHA exfoliate the top layer of skin (epidermis) giving it a quick go to for blemishes, fine lines/wrinkles, and dark marks. (This is a high concentration of chemicals). 💥Hyaluronic Acid is a humectant which means it draws moisture to your skin. 💥Vitamin B5 is an anti inflammatory & a humectant 💥Black Carrot is an antioxidant 💥Tasmanian Pepperberry is a anti inflammatory, anti-oxidant & skin conditioner (also what gives the red color to this acid) How to use: 💥Use this for 10 mins **ONLY IF YOU HAVE USED ACID CHEMICAL PEELS BEFORE** . If not I recommend starting with 2-5 mins then working your way up 💥Use on 1-2xs a week. To avoid overexfoliation 💥Apply with clean dry hands on a clean dry face. This is important as wet skin will not absorbs as well and probably do more harm then good 💥 Do not apply dropper to skin. I recommend putting this in your hands and working on a thin layer. **DO NOT PUT A LOT ON YOUR FACE LIKE YOU SEE INFLUENCER DOING** 💥DO NOT USE A RETINOL, OTHER ACIDS, or VITAMIN C with this product.. you’re just asking for over exfoliation. 💥DO NOT USE ON DAMAGED, PEELING, SCARS, OR ALREADY DRY SKIN (you will be sorry). My routine: **I USE THIS AT NIGHT TO AVOID UNNECESSARY SUN DAMAGE** -Cleanse with CeraVe - Hydrating Face Cleanser For Normal To Dry Skin The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution (set time for 10 mins) Tone PAULA'S CHOICE - Enriched Calming Toner - Moisturize CeraVe - Daily Moisturizing Lotion For Normal To Dry Skin (even though I have oily/combo skin I use this for dry skin because of the trauma I just put my skin through and it tends to be on the dry side afterwards) - Apply RADHA BEAUTY - Rosehip Oil ***wait 15-20*** -Apply dr. brandt - Hydro Biotic Recovery Sleeping Mask (leave on all night & go to sleep) Putting moisture back into my skin after a peel is very very very important.

AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution
The Ordinary-AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution
The ordinary facial peel
The ordinary facial peel
The famous The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution has been my first legitimate skin peeling solution and I will not be afraid to admit I was absolutely terrified to use it the first time. Prior to using this “godsend” facial peel I had been using The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution (which was a really nice intro into chemical exfoliation for me) to get my skin used to doing chemical exfoliation and then the day came when I purchased the peeling solution. It wasn’t as bad the first couple of times I used it, but lately when I apply it, my skin has been very tingly in an itchy way for the first minute of application. I don’t know why it tingles more now than it did before but lmao okay. I admit, I really like this peel though. I feel like it has made a difference in how congested my skin can get and it has also helped with a bit of scarring I’ve had on my face which is pretty cool. For this product I will say that the hype is real, this is a really good product in my opinion, but before listening to the internet and buying it without a second thought, do your research to see if this is a right fit for you so you can avoid messing up your skin because this stuff is definitely NOT for people with sensitive skin. I will also say, use a lower power chemical exfoliant for a couple weeks (hell a month or so if you want) to get your skin used to dealing with chemicals.

fur keeps creating these amazi
fur keeps creating these amazing products (like their signature Fur Oil) that I didn’t realize I needed, but once I try, I can’t live without.  Fur’s Silk Scrub is a gentle, exfoliating treatment that can be used as a scrub or left on as a mask. It buffs away dead skin cells and leaves your skin feeling unbelievably soft and smooth. The thing that I love about Silk Scrub is that I don’t have to choose between shaving and exfoliating anymore. It’s so gentle that I can use it post-shaving with no irritation at all. If you’re already using Fur’s oil, Silk Scrub is the perfect companion. Bonus points because it also smells amazing. It’s worth mentioning that I do have to give the bottle a good squeeze to get the product out, but I’d prefer that to watching my precious Silk Scrub going down the actual drain because I over-squeezed. Fur packed all kinds of goodness into this perfectly minimalistic package: Jojoba beads, a natural exfoliator to unclog follicles & prevent ingrown hairs. Papaya & pineapple enzymes to make pores appear smaller & fight inflammation. Glycolic & lactic acids to brighten. Clary sage oil to reduce irritation & redness. Silk Scrub is also dermatologically & gynecologically tested. (Safe for use anywhere, ladies & gents). I’ll definitely repurchase this, as it’s become a staple in my shower. Retails for $48, but worth every penny IMO.
