Urban Decay 24/7 liner dupes?

For the longest time I had only black eyeliners, but in the last year I’ve been more attracted to playing with color. Here are 3 shades I’ve found to enhance my dark brown eyes~ 🪁teal / purple: teals and purples go well with brown. Not sure why, but a little smudge of this on my waterline or lash line makes my eyes stand out while being subtle. This one is Glossier. - Colorslide Technogel Eye Pencil in Hardcore Velvet. ☕️ brown: I really thought brown liners were for people who couldn’t handle black, but after watching a brown vs black eye liner vid, I had to get my hands on one. It’s almost like contour for your eye. A small smudged wing and extending the line just passed the tear duct leads to a beautiful cat eye effect that somehow looks natural. This one is PACIfICA - Vegan Waterproof Eyeliner in Fringe 👑 gold: I’ve had this gold liner for a while now and it’s perfect for all my gold makeup needs. Again, gold and brown is a winning combo! This is the URBAN DECAY - 24/7 Glide-on Eye Pencil in.. tbh the shade name has rubbed off, but it’s the gold one lmao Who said brown eyes are boring? It feels like everything we do creates waste sometimes. But it’s a good habit to do baby steps for an eco-friendly routine, for your wallet and for the environment. I don’t have a fully waste-free routine. But I’ve collected tips to start. Here are my tips, and product reviews for this look. 🌳TIPS 🌳 🍃 Use wooden & paper > plastic. Plastic packaging is really hard to recycle. Wood isn’t so hard. EcoTools is a good brand that uses tree-free, bamboo materials to make its brushes. They’re good quality- mine have lasted 2+ years. And they’re 100% recyclable. With eye palettes, some suggest getting cardboard packaging (like Juvia’s Place or Violet Voss) over plastic. + Cardboard is usually slimmer. 🍃 Use refillable tools. Kaiser Weiss let’s you buy single-pan product refills for everything, even lipsticks. So you only have to buy the container once. Makeup Forever has magnetic palettes you can refill with blush/shadow pans. 🍃 Check the product certificate labels. Brands don’t share their processes much, making it hard to know if their workers were paid fairly, or if it was produced sustainably. 3rd party organizations make it easier to verify it. Check for labels like Fairtrade, Eco-living seal, and more listed on Ecolabelindex. 🍃 Check the brand’s recycling program. Back to Mac gives you a free product if you turn in 3 finished (Mac) products to them to recycle. Origins will accept any-brand cosmetic packaging to recycle, and give you a free sample. 🌹 MY PRODUCT REVIEWS 🌹 These may not be 100% waste-free. But they sort of fit the guidelines, and besides- it’s good to use what you have first ! URBAN DECAY - Honey Pot Set eyeshadow palette It comes in cardboard packaging with a little mirror. I’ll probably remove the mirror + pans when I’m done to keep. This is a very pigmented little guy. I swatched it on my arm, and it didn’t take much to show it’s glitter. I love it for on-the-go. UD doesn’t market itself as eco-focused, but I feel like this is a good example of how you can still find eco-friendlier options within your fav brands. I used every color except Glazed for the eye look. URBAN DECAY - 24/7 Glide-on Eye Pencil in Amber A sparkling amber. I used it for my inner corner highlight. In research, I found out it’s a sharpenable, plastic pencil. :( So watch out for pencils that look wooden, but aren’t. wet n wild - On Edge Longwearing Eye Pencil in Wooden You Know. Another pencil eyeliner, and only $3.99. It’s creamy, blendable, dries fast, and pigmented. I used it on my brows and eyeliner. Try their Kohl liners, which are fully wooden. ecoTOOLS - On-the-Go Style Kit These are sturdy, comfy brushes. They’re packed thick, and don’t shed. I only wish the crease brush was thicker.
