Curology Customized Skincare For Acne-Prone Skin & Anti-Aging
I’ve had acne since I was about 15. Now 10 years later, at age 25, I still am fighting acne. However, the big change is that now I’m also fighting aging! When your skin thinks you’re a pubescent teenager that is also fighting not to become an old hag – It can feel like your skin is up against a lot of obstacles. Since my face is all over the place: · Oily in T-zone · Dry on sides of face and forehead · Combination in some spots · Freckles and brown spots from sun exposure · Acne and acne scars · Fine lines and wrinkles, etc. I need a lot of products to combat the array of issues my skin has been dealt. To assist with this, I finally considered Curology Custom Skincare. Things I like about Curology: · 30-day FREE Trial!! · Dermotolgist on Hand - You are paying to work with a dermatologist, which I love! You attach photographs of your skin and address your concerns. Then, your dermatologist creates a unique serum, just for your skin. · Immediate Results - It worked very well at first, and my pores were astronomically smaller within the first day. My skin may be slightly immune to it now, but it is still improved from before using Curology. · I Love the Moisturizer & Cleanser - Each lasts for a very long time (longer than the main bottle of customized Formula). The main formula bottle is customized for your skin, however, the cleanser and moisturizer are not. Therefore, they are intended to be gentle enough for all skin types. · Adaptable Formula - I like that this is created by a professional, and if it’s not working, the dermatologist will adapt the Formula for you. My Formula (the second one we’ve tried) is: o Clindamycin 1% o Azelaic Acid 4% o Zinc Pyrithione 0.25% Things I don’t like about Curology: · Small Amount of Product – The product in the white bottle looks much larger from the outside but is incredibly small on the inside (you could dip your pinky into the bottle to about your cuticle, so truly very small). The Formula is concentrated, and I understand a little goes a long way, but – · Not a Full-Month Supply - Only lasts me about 2/3-weeks instead of the month it claims to. Read many reviews and hundreds of users say the same thing. · Slow to be delivered – I’m purchasing more than one bottle a month, so it can be annoying to wait a couple of weeks for it when you’re running low. · Expensive – I now only get the Formula but I’ve downgraded from the full set which included the Formula along with cleaner, and moisturizer. At $40 every few weeks, it can be quite expensive for some. Final Verdict: · I like getting a dermatologist product delivered to my door. · I feel supported by their team and with the free trial, I believe that the team at Curology does care, and wants to help people with their skin concerns. They believe in their product or would not offer it for free. · At first, it visibly shrunk my pores. Although my skin seems slightly immune to it and it doesn’t always work for acne, I won’t stop using it. I don’t want to see if my acne will come back so I am committed to Curology. · I find it works best when I am targeting my gut-health as well, which is a major cause of acne. I’m vegetarian and eat quite well which helps, but I add in Skin Heroes Probiotic by HUM Nutrition (often sold at Sephora) In combination with Curology, I’ve found a set that really fights my acne and helps my skin glow! In conclusion – Try your free trial!! You have nothing to lose when you get a month free, and their skin-quiz will help you to address and target your own unique skin concerns (acne, aging, uneven skin tone, etc.) Below are my before and after pictures (in the Curology messaging portal where you communicate with your dermatogist). See the after picture for proof that I am currently acne-free! It is 100% worth a shot, and I hope it helps you too! Love and light, Juliet <3

Looking for Recommendations for Hormonal Acne
Hi All, I’m looking for a good cleanser/spot treatment that is safe to use under my current prescription. I am taking 100 mg of Spironolactone as well as applying a dime size amount of a retnoil cream at night (Tretinoin 0.025%). I have been using these prescriptions for about 6 weeks. I know acne healing takes time, but I’m wondering if I’m causing unnecessary irritation. Thank you for any and all recommendations. Stay safe and healthy, Liz xx
I Need Help With What Skincare I Should Use?
I have oily skin and have sensitive skin. I’m trying to find a morning skincare routine and night time routine. I want to try to stop having blackheads coming and pimples from having breakouts from stress. I would love to hear what you can recommend to me and skincare that you would not recommend. Iwould also love if you could show me products that I can buy from Ultra.
Is my skin barrier damaged or just acting out 😳
To make this long story kinda short I recently purchased Holifrog’s cleanser to use as a second cleanse along with my original cleanser and also as an AM that didnt agree with my skin and it dehydrated me a tiny bit so I went back to just using my original cleanser (The Ordinary’s Squalane Cleanser), which didnt cause me any problems before or so I think. It has been almost two weeks since stopping, my skin doesnt feel as dehydrated anymore but I’m developing breakouts... so wtf is causing it? I’m also still looking for a good moisturizer and I’m kinda worried to start anything new because of my current situation. I literally only used that Holifrog cleanser for FOUR DAYS I’ve washed my bedsheets, clothes, everything. I’m doing all precautions including not taking my multivitamin anymore. I don’t go outside a lot, so I dont know if its “maskne” or not but ugh. How can a cleanser that I’ve used before all of a sudden just make me look horrible. I’m oily/normal - sensitive so I just really REALLY don’t know whats happening. I went to look through my photos for my skin timeline, because I’m a nitpicking ass bitch and I’m literally so jealous of myself in May (I was using Neutrogenas Hydroboost gel cleanser at this time, with again no moisturizer because my sensitivities) lmao. I understand that this is mild compared to some, but I feel so uncomfortable right now in my skin because every time I look at it I have a breakdown almost.
BAD FLARE UPS - recommendations?! 😡
Does anyone else’s skin flare up in a matter of days? My skin is highly acne prone and sensitive and gets inflamed very easily. What products do you use to control red/irritated skin? I’m currently using: Curology - The Cleanser Glycerin/Aloe moisturizer TOPIX - Replenix Acne Solutions Benzoyl Peroxide Wash (10%) Spironolactone 100mg Does anyone else’s skin open up and bleed (pretty gross) when new acne forms? Please help!!!
TOPIX-Replenix Acne Solutions Benzoyl Peroxide Wash
So I’ve always had pretty bad acne. And because I’m getting older, I want to take better care of my skin. So in the morning I wash my face with PanOxl and before bed I wash my face with glycolix and I apply a topical cream. My dermatologist told me to wash my face with that stuff, but I’m not sure what else I can do to help my skin. For example, what kind of moisturizer would be the best? Or what stuff can I use to help get rid of my acne scaring. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Hiii I made this account so that my boyfriend doesn’t have to hear me talk about skincare all the time. Im Juliana, skincare faNaTiC and merciless product sPenDer. This is my absolute hobby, the reason I get excited to go to bed and the reason I start every day w a fReSh face. This has definitely been a journey for me and my skin. I’ve never had severe skin issues, but hormonal acne hit me hard on the chin. I’m proud to say I’ve made it to the other side and have nothing but appreciation for all that I’ve learned. I’m excited to share my very unprofessional opinions on different products with you. So PUT ON YOUR FAVORITE MASK because this is going to be a ride. -J
