Which Highlighter is Best? Between Kylie Kylighter & Master Chrome
JulietH21
A girl’s gotta glow. With so many highlighters on the market, it is difficult to know which one will give you the subtle sparkly glow that we all love, or if you’ll end up looking like a craft project gone wrong.
Two of my favorites that I wanted to compare side-by-side are my Kylighter from Kylie Cosmetics and The Master Chrome by Face Studio. I’m using the shade of ‘Santorini’ in Kylie, but any of her Kylighter will be comparable; and the shade ‘molten gold,’ from Face Studio. For this experiment, I painted my face with makeup using:
· Master Chrome highlighter on the right side of my face
· Kylie highlighter on the left side of my face
Outlined in the photographs I’ve edited, it can be difficult to tell a huge difference from straight on. This is why I wanted to offer you guys the inside and outdoor lighting samples to compare the effects of natural light on the pigmentation. For each of these highlighters, you can see where I placed it because I drew circles. I placed one highlighter on each side of my face in these areas:
· Brow bone (to widen eyes vertically)
· Inside of eyes (to widen eyes horizontally)
· Cheek bone (to bless you with cheek bones when you don’t have any!)
· Cupid’s bow on lips (to draw the eye to the top of your lips)
· Nose and tip (to make your nose look thinner and more pointed-upwards)
Here’s what I found –Kylighter from Kylie Cosmetics is best for:
· Highlighters that really POP
· High pigmentation
· Great for lighter shades (this one being whiter than the Master Chrome Shade)
The Master Chrome by Face Studio is best for:
· Highlighters that are more subtle
· Lower pigmentation
· Great for golden shades (warmer tones than the Kylighter)
Compare the two sides and you will notice that the ‘Molten Gold,’ shade is living up to it’s name as a warmer tone; while the Kylighter offers a whiter effect. It’s difficult to compare these because I could purchase a gold tone from Kylie and a whiter tone from Face Studio, but my overall verdict is that the Kylighter is best. I decided this because:
· The pigment was so rich
· Brighter
· Easier to see on my skin
· Higher-quality product
Overall, I would use both of these products. The Master Chrome is still great if I’m wearing warmer tones or want to enhance the gold of my eyes. The Kylighter matches cooler tones of white and enhances the white of my eyes to make them appear bigger.Look at the comparison pictures, which highlighter to you prefer?Happy face painting, beauties!

You're sleeping on this highlighter!
These are the Maybelline New York Master Chrome Metallic Highlighters in shade 100 Molten Gold and 050 Molten Rose Gold.
Molten Rose Gold is the first highlighter I ever bought and is still the one I use the most! Molten Rose Gold suits my skin tone so if you have a similar tone to me, this product should work well for you. Molten Gold shows up too gold and dark on my skin but I use it on my eyes or on clients with darker skin than me. Even though these products are called "metallic" they can be applied to look really natural and glowy. It's just a matter of applying less or more to get the ✨ you want. If you're into highlighters, I would absolutely recommend trying this one, it's also "drugstore" so it's relatively cheap.MAYBELLINE - FaceStudio Master Chrome Metallic Highlighter

POPPIN Highlight
I ADORE THIS HIGHLIGHT. It is in the shade Champagne POP by Becca Cosmetics. It is the most shiny and dewy highlighter I have used. I actually bought the trial size, finished it and bought the bigger size I liked it so much.
It is a long lasting glow, and each compact comes with a mirror, I use this on the tip and lightly on the line of my nose (hope that makes sense), and cheeks, and bow of my lips, I’ve also used it on my eye lids to brighten them up.
I will say that it is not very compact or deep set, so you need to be very careful not to drop it as it will break (personal experience with my mini). I would say if you travel a lot the mini would be a better option for you and it’s cheaper than the large size and a little goes a long way it lasts a long time. ($22 for mini, $38 for large on Sephora)
Overall, this is a keeper for me. I have yet to find a highlight that lasts as long as is really visible even if not in sunlight.

Worth the Hype?!🌟🌟🌟
BECCA - Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed HighlighterBecca's highlighters are very HYPED NOW! 💛💛💛 I'm really impressed by their beautiful packaging and I've got a few of their popular shades.
#Moonstone is the most suitable for everyday use. It's a warm champagne gold shade, but it does not make your skin appear yellow. I recommend this shade the most.💓
#Vanilla Quartz is quite similar to Moonstone but a bit brighter. It has some pink in it and the tone is more neutral. It suits people with both warm or cool light skin tones.
#Champagne Pop is darker and has more shimmers, which is more suitable for people with darker skin tones.
#Parisian Lights is shimmery but actually quite suitable for everyday use. Also, this is a limited edition and the powder compact is embossed with the Eiffel Tower.
#Prismatic Amethyst is a purple highlighter that's quite translucent on the skin. Using it on the cheeks creates a very eye-catching look.
#Pearl is a very white and shiny shade. It's best applied on the bridge of the nose, the outer side of the eyes, and the cheeks. I don't recommend it for those with a yellowish skin tone.
You can choose the shade of the highlighter for your skin tone and personal preferences.

My highlight rewards💙❤️💛
Among all the beauty products, my favorite is highlight, it can change the overall makeup. Now the highlight product has not only been able to brighten up the skin and change the facial contour, many highlight products have multi-purpose. They can be blush, can be eye shadow. Sometimes buying a highlight can save you from buying other category products.
I'd like to compare four of my commonly used highlights, two of which are Japanese products, CPB and Shiseido. Two are American products, MAC and Fenty beauty. In general, the main difference between Japanese and Ameican products is that Japanese cosmetics is more natural, presenting natural nude makeup. American cosmetics is more suitable for changing different make-up.
Let me start with two Japanese products. Although they are made in Japanese, they can be bought in Saks, NM or Nordstrom. CPB #14, contains glitter powder, brush on the face is light white with light pink. It creates the transparent dressing of making up. Shiseido #pk107, that I definitely 100% buyback, its main role is different from the general highlight. Most of the highlights are on the cheeks, chin and forehead. PK107 is mainly used in lacrimal groove. It can plump lacrimal groove and make the person look very young. The powder’s color is pink, but it presents the blue color on the face.

SHISEIDO - Luminizing Satin Face Color
MAC and Fenty beauty are two American products, their highlight products are always hot. This highlight of MAC is very bright in color. It can show a very shining light when brushed gently on the face. Making your skin look like very bronzed and sexy. Fenty beauty, which I post before, is my favorite highlight. Because it can be regarded as a combination of blush and highlights. Sometimes I even use it to make pink eye shadow. His sequins are large, very shiny, and with the pink foundation, no girls will not be amazed.

✨ Loving this pretty vulgar Shimmering Swan Highlighter in the shade Sparkling Sass!
This is a beautiful peachy golden highlight that looks so pretty on my pale skin. While is looks dark, it's actually much more wearable on my skin than the Maybelline Molten Gold. It doesn't emphasize texture or fine lines and it wears all day. I love this shade on my inner corner and tops of my cheekbones. And how cute is the packaging?? 💕✨👍😊

My Cult Favorites for Highlighter!!!
I've always been a HUGE fan of glittery highlighters, so, of course, I love the BECCA - Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter- Champagne Pop ! It's a golden champagne with a hint of cool. It shows very well and gives my face a dreamlike luster. I highly recommend it! Love how smooth and how it melts into my skin. Definitely worth the hype!
On the left is SHISEIDO - Luminizing Satin Face Color, the most raved-about shade - PK107, which is a cool pink highlighter with very refined powder. I usually use Wayne Goss' airbrush to brush the powder flat under the eyes.
The golden sparkly one on the right is BECCA Champagne Pop. It also has very refined powder. It adds a little warm tone, and is eye-catching but not overly flashy. Using both of them together works even better. My under-eye area looks smoother and fuller while my cheekbones shine!
