The product that gave me my skin back 🥰
✨First, I am OBSESSED with the Krave brand. Second, this product is one of my HOLY GRAILS. It has saved my skin so many times. I recently got carried away with exfoliating acids like AHA and BHA, as well as applying retinol morning and night, and using too much hyaluronic acid and niacinamide. Like what was I thinking 🙄??? I got super excited with all the progress I’d been making with my skin that I just kept doing the most until my skin was literally almost not even absorbing my moisturizer. That’s when I decided to reset my routine and only apply this product on my face for one whole week. It SAVED MY SKIN BARRIER. My skin is healthy and glowy once more! ✨This is a thick serum that somehow melts into a watery consistency on your skin. It is soooo hydrating and healing. The formulation has 10% freshly extracted tamanu oil which helps with skin regeneration, as well as safflower and rosehip oil that are great for oily acne prone skin. It has 2% niacinamide, ceramides, vegan cholesterol and squalane. No fragrance, but still has a nice nutty scent from the tamanu oil. ✨PERFECT FOR ALL SKIN TYPES. It heals a weakened skin barrier, helps provide a more even skin tone by aiding with discoloration and acne marks. It is so nourishing and hydrating. You can use it as a serum or moisturizer. Literally no rules and perfect for any skin type, even the most sensitive types. ✨Krave donates 2% of all proceeds to funding the Great Barrier Reef Foundation in Australia! ✨I CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT ENOUGH!!!! ❤️ To me it is a perfect product and formulation, I can’t even believe it. -J Krave - Great Barrier Relief

Summer to Fall Hydration 🍁
I have sensitive combo skin that is acne prone and live in Boston so when it gets cold, my skin gets dry and needs more hydration. Here are a few holy grail hydrators I add in for the season! Summer Items to Replace -Daily Greens by Farmacy for heavier moisturizer -Beet Shield by Krave ✨Fall Additions 💦 Healing Ointment by CeraVe $12 for 5oz If this isn’t the mother of hydration, I don’t know what is. With Hyaluronic Acid and Ceramides, this thick gel product always manages to save my skin. I actually love this most for something I’ve heard called “slugging” which sounds gross but works for me. Basically it’s using a product like this as a night moisturizer which makes you very shiny but for me, has amazing results. I’ve noticed changes in my breakouts when doing this, meaning they’ve healed a lot overnight. This is also great for things like dry lips or dry hands. I was dealing with dry lips when the weather started to change despite my regular routine still being in place. I brushed my lips with my toothbrush gently to remove any dead skin and added this for nighttime and WOW. After 2-3 days of actual dry spots, they disappeared with this product. 💦 Honey Halo by Farmacy $45 for 1.7 oz This is a new moisturizer from this brand and they finally added what their Honey Drop moisturizer lacked which is CERAMIDES! These are so great in locking in hydration for your skin. I also adore honey in all products because it has tons of perks. This, though thicker, feels great on skin and melts into a lighter kind of oil texture. This can be used morning and night and overall will be very soothing for your skin. 💦 Great Barrier Relief Serum by Krave $28 for 1.52 fl oz Key Ingredients: Tamanu Oil, Safflower Oil, Rosehip Oil, Vitamin B3, Ceramide These ingredients are for skin regeneration, hyperpigmentation, anti-aging, brightening, acne-fighting and generally repairing a damaged skin barrier. This serum is a favorite of mine for ceramide and niacinamide ingredient list. This product acts like your skin’s moisture barrier when things get rough. It’s great for helping with sunburns, dryness, texture, and any general irritation. I use this after a lighter Vitamin C serum during the morning on my mask area and I think it’s been really helping to create a barrier and prevent breakouts from mask wearing too! 💦Centella Green Level Unscented Sunscreen $16 for 2oz This is such a hydrating sunscreen and I love it! It has Hyaluronic Acid in it as well as Centella to enhance the skin barrier which provides protection from ultraviolet rays and any external stressors. It also avoids things like fragrance and essential oils so it is good for sensitive skin too. No white cast too! SOME NEW PRODUCTS
here are some new products i’m super excited to try out!!! PETER THOMAS ROTH - Cucumber Gel Masque i love this mask!!! it’s super hydrating and calming. it cools my skin down and it’s perfect after a day out in the sun or when you’re needing a little extra hydration. a little goes a long way. SUMMER FRIDAYS - Overtime Mask this mask is most likely not for those with super sensitive skin... the smell is a very pleasant cinnamon pumpkin. it’s both an enzymatic and a physical exfoliator. there are apricot shells in the formula, and they’re pretty large. the directions state that you gently rub in small circles for a minute once applied to the skin, and then leave on for 10 minutes. because i don’t like physical exfoliation, i usually just rub it in super gently for 30 seconds and then leave it on for 10 minutes before gently removing it with a warm washcloth. HERBIVORE - Moon Fruit Superfruit Night Treatment the smell of this one is a little much... a little medical lavender-like. it’s a thick lotion with a beautiful dark purple hue. when i use this, i use it as the last step of my routine and rub it thoroughly into my skin. the morning after my skin is super soft and hydrated and it helps any blemishes and acne on my skin. i’ve read a lot of really good reviews and a few really bad reviews about it molding, but so far it’s been fine for me. GLOW RECIPE - Avocado Melt Retinol Eye Sleeping Mask my fine lines are GONE by morning with the help of this. it blurs and tightens my under eyes, while also hydrating them and not drying them out as some retinols do. COSRX - Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence love this essence. it has a beautifully thick texture. it’s sticky and stretchy and one pump sinks into the skin. it hydrates and softens my skin, while also helping any irritation. i’m super excited to use the other products i haven’t had a chance to try yet! let me know if you want to hear about any product or products in specific :)
My Fav All in One Serum
Krave - Great Barrier Relief When I first ordered this product, I was suuuuper unsure how my oily skin would react to it; I’ve been using oils for awhile now but always ones that are more suited to acne prone skin (rosehip, hemp seed, etc), so this one was a little scary! To my surprise, it’s one of the most beautiful and light oil-based serums I’ve EVER used. It really does have everything your skin could possibly need, especially if your skin barrier is compromised. This stuff absolutely saved my skin when I went a little too crazy with exfoliating (oops😂) and using only this product, my skin was back to normal after a day. I can even wear this in the morning, although I do prefer a slight sheen to my skin even tho I’m oily, but it’s perfect as a stand alone moisturizer or to be used under a heavy moisturizer at night time. It really is like you’re giving your skin a big hug!! It does all the things and more, and I will absolutely continue to buy this, once it’s back in stock 😭

krave great barrier relief
Krave - Great Barrier Relief is such a popular product for acne-prone skin. it is a skin-soothing serum that restores your damaged skin barrier while evening out your complexion. it aims to help restore a healthy skin barrier. the formula is luxurious, light and easily absorbed into the skin. it also has a very unique earthy scent from the tamanu oil, which is the main ingredient in this serum. because i have sensitive skin, i love using this whenever my skin is irritated or having allergic reactions. the tamanu oil definitely helps calm acne and redness. i highly recommend this product for those who have acne-prone and/or sensitive skin. for just $28, i think this serum is worth it!

my love, my life
im OBSESSED with this. i bought the PAULA'S CHOICE - 10% Azelaic Acid Booster a few months ago when i was really struggling with redness and a generally uneven skin tone. i initially couldn’t figure out how to use this without it having issues with some of my other skincare as i had been mixing it with my moisturizer. i find that it works better for me by itself, applied after serums and before my moisturizer this is meant to target uneven skin tone, any spots, and is meant to soothe irritation. it took about two months of consistent use before i noticed a real difference, but the redness in my cheeks has really evened out and now i only have flare ups sometimes rather than every single week. and when i’m having a breakout, i spot treat with this and it really works wonders this is $36 for 1 oz, and i really CANNOT recommend this enough

VERSED - JUST BREATHE Clarifying Serum Currently rated 3-stars but may change. This Clarifying Serum contains great ingredients: willow bark extract, zinc blend, and niacinamide which all work together to calm inflammation, decongest pores and soothe redness. I have been using this for a few weeks and have seen no improvements with my acne and pores. Despite that, I cannot say it has not been an enjoyable experience. This product is unscented, absorbs quickly, leaves my skin smooth, and seems to *very minimally* soothe redness. It’s a nice addition to my routine but I may be able to live without it.

How I Treated My Hormonal Acne
I struggled with hormonal pustule acne for a long time, as well as pustules and whiteheads from oil overproduction. It was moderate to severe, covering my left and right cheeks. Three specific products helped to reduce my breakouts in frequency, coverage, redness, and the level of pain associated with the inflammation. PAULA'S CHOICE - 10% Niacinamide Booster is amazing. Just 4% Niacinamide has been shown by a couple studies to be as effective at reducing moderate acne as clindamycin- a topical antibiotic! I can attest to its acne fighting prowess, as I saw distinct reduction in not only the amount of acne I had, but also how intense it was- it was less painful and not nearly as red a few hours after application. Niacinamide normalizes pore lining and controls oil production so I saw immense improvement in whiteheads and pustules when using twice daily. But this prevented my oil-caused acne more than my hormonal acne, though it eased both. DRUNK ELEPHANT - B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Serum was the first product I used that gave me relief. I hadn’t known it, but my oil overproduction was largely in part from dehydrated skin. Since I used no moisturizer or serum, my skin produced extra oil after I cleansed. Incorporating B-Hydra replenished my skin with water, glycerin, panthenol, sodium hyaluronate (a form of HA), and sodium hyaluronate crosspolymer. I saw quick reduction in the number of whiteheads I developed! Using it before applying an exfoliant helps prevent dryness associated with peels. PAULA'S CHOICE - 10% Azelaic Acid Booster should be in nearly ever acne arsenal. It is antimicrobial and anti inflammatory to help fight acne, plus it lightens dark spots dramatically in my experience. Applying this in the AM shrinks pustules by nighttime and makes the area around the blemish much less red. I find this gives the quickest acne-minimizing results of all the products I’ve used. When treating acne, always make sure to eliminate possible irritants such as fragrance and essential oils, as well as drying alcohol. Acne can be a sign of inflammation and using gentle products can ease the pain associated with (as well as the prevalence of) acne tremendously. As well, I always recommend salicylic acid for treating acne, but I wanted to highlight these specific products because they’re not mentioned as often and they played a huge role in my acne journey.
