How To Treat Young Adult Acne Without Damages

We’ve all had that time in our lives where acne showed its ugly face and we get so frustrated thinking that one pop of a pimple will stop it from happening. WRONG. It’s that thought right there that gets us to touch pimples that are caused by an unbalance of hormones or either a reaction to skincare products. Whatever the reason, just try not to touch your face at all. Trust me, I have done it before and it took years for those acne scars to heal. That being said, like you, I do have to deal with it too so here are my tips on how to let acne run its course and what you can do in the meantime. As a teenager, I didn't know my skin type until my mother took me to a dermatologist who told me that it was being caused by adolescence. He then suggested that I go on medication to treat this temporary and coming of age skincare issue that would only make my skin rely on it. My mother declined it and sought out skincare products to simply keep the skin clean. My mother is an avid reader and researcher so she always sought out long-lasting resolutions. Besides, as the doctor said, it was a hormonal imbalance and until it ran its course the acne will continue to appear. Now because I was aware of this and still an impatient person, I thought that if I simply squeeze out the liquid from a whitehead then I would be just fine. I was definitely wrong about that because I then created a blemish that would have to be treated as well. So here’s what I started to do instead. When you are going through acne as a young adult, the 2 types of products that I recommend and suggest that you try are facial cleansers and moisturizers as well as SPF with glycolic and salicylic acid. These 2 ingredients are a great combination for speeding up the cell reproduction process resulting in healing acne. To start, I washed my face 2 times a day or even 3 depending on what I was doing or what makeup I was wearing with cleansers that contain salicylic acid and glycolic acid. The salicylic acid helps to unclog pores which means that whatever products are trying to sink in and make a home in my face will not happen thus decreasing the number of breakouts. The glycolic acid helps to reduce the appearance of marks and dark spots left from the acne and of course, the picking to the pimples that I (and maybe you) have done. Face Cleansing and Moisturizing Splash your face with lukewarm water then pump out the amount of product recommended on the instructions. In circular motions massage the cleanser onto the skin to create a lather. If the no lather forms, it's okay. Not all products create lather. Next rinse your face with cool water. Cool water closes the pores and adds a natural glow to the skin. Afterward, pat the skin almost dry with a cotton towel leaving a little bit of moisture from the water on the skin so the moisturizer will sink into the pores. After applying a moisturizer you will then put on SPF 30 or more then you are good to go. Please remember that young adult/adolescent acne is temporary. When you pick at acne that is coming through the skin then you are irritating it causing the skin to react with a flare or either more acne. Be sure to only use products that your skin agrees with and don’t pop or pick out acne marks. Like everything else in life, acne is temporary therefore use the salicylic and glycolic acid products to treat and prevent until the hormones balance and breakouts come to a pause or non-existent.

Looking for Recommendations for Hormonal Acne
Hi All, I’m looking for a good cleanser/spot treatment that is safe to use under my current prescription. I am taking 100 mg of Spironolactone as well as applying a dime size amount of a retnoil cream at night (Tretinoin 0.025%). I have been using these prescriptions for about 6 weeks. I know acne healing takes time, but I’m wondering if I’m causing unnecessary irritation. Thank you for any and all recommendations. Stay safe and healthy, Liz xx

Acne and Skin in general
Acne and Skin in general
I think that especially with my page, posting about clearing my skin, skin struggles, taking pills, and countless products, it is so important to remember what I am getting out of all this. CONFIDENCE! Some of us are on this app just to learn more about how to keep our skin young and healthy! Which is pretty much all of us. But most also struggle with countless skin insecurities that we want recommendations and solutions for. I know that in the back of my head when I think of acne I think that I need it to be gone in order to be happy or have confidence in my skin. Which is absolutely incorrect. Having a nice skincare routine and wanting the best for your skin is absolutely the goal. But please please please do not forget that you are beautiful, insecurities don't define you, and you don't need clear, unattainable skin to have confidence. If this idea that perfect skin is possible and something that you should have, then you aren't surrounding yourself with the correct people or accounts of social media. Photoshop and filters exist, so don't trust the internet or aim goals based on the internet. You are beautiful and loved. Your insecurities don't define you whatsoever, so please get in the mindset that any type of skin you have, is completely perfect and beautiful.

This product SAVED MY SKIN!
This product SAVED MY SKIN!
I struggled with inflamed, hormonal acne. since it was since it was hormonal acne it was harder to treat. I have a make up account on Instagram @makeupby.emilly and I was on my explore page Trying to find new makeup accounts when I came across Curoligy. like any other ad I brushed it off. but every single day it popped up. for the whole month of March. so on my birthday April 7th I got five dollars and told my mom, “ hey mom, I see ads for this company all the time. The before and after pictures of clients are perfect. like look at this girl skin. it’s free but you need to pay $4.95 Worth of shipping. after the one-month trial, if you like it they will take out $60 from your credit card and send you a full-size product. and if the product does not work for your skin you can call and it will cancel the subscription. So can I buy it?” she said okay. I filled out the two minute quiz. it only took two minutes because I was really paying attention to my answers to the questions. it came on April 16. now it is July 27. it has been a little over two months and my skin is not clear but I do see a really really big difference. if you look at the first picture that’s a before and after of 2 months. Curoligy said that I would see a difference in eight weeks (2 months) and I do. from pictures 4-9 are pictures I took four minutes ago. I really think this product of my skin. I will keep you updated. for everyone who sees the Curoligy ads and suffer from acne I say you should give it a try.Curology - The Cleanser Curology - Curology formula Curology - The Moisturizer

Accutane (isotretinoin) changed my life!!
Accutane (isotretinoin) changed my life!!
Hey everyone, Just wanted to show this quick video of how accutane truly changed my life. I just want you all to know that I understand. I know how hard it is, mentally, to deal with acne. I’VE BEEN THERE. It is not easy. It’s crying every night as you look in the mirror because you don’t like what you see. Crying because you feel that you look ugly. Crying because you don’t want anyone to see you like this. But I promise, it gets better. It’s temporary; it will not last forever. Keep smiling, beautiful :)

Prevent Acne!! Acne MIRACLE worker??
Prevent Acne!! Acne MIRACLE worker??
Neutrogena - Rapid Clear, Stubborn Acne, Daily Leave-On Mask I’d heard a lot about this product and how it was a miracle product for acne and so, as a person prone to acne myself, I decided to give it a try! Many people raved about how this mask cleared or lessened their acne within just one night, and unfortunately, that was not the experience I personally had with this product:( However, everyone’s skin is different and different products work well on different people. My younger brother is in his teenage years and is facing a lot of hormonal acne due to puberty. He found this product to work MUCH better on his skin than it did on mine. His current pimples did get smaller and less red over night and within a few days, almost disappeared. Although this mask does not clear my acne, it is still useful to me. Know that horrible feeling when you can physically FEEL a big and painful pimple growing under your skin and you know it’s gonna surface soon?? 🤧 Well, whenever I feel this and realize I’m about to get a new pimple, I start applying this mask in that area and most of the time, it prevents the pimple from actually appearing!! So even if this mask doesn’t clear my existing acne, it helps prevent new pimples from surfacing, which is still a GOLDEN use for this product! For this reason, along with the fact that this product has worked so well for so many others, I give it 4 stars! If you have acne prone skin, I definitely recommend trying this product. It’s not very expensive so there’s not much to lose and it might be a great investment for your skin!!

🆘
Hey guys! So I’ve been having quite a time with my acne. I’ve tried a bunch of stuff to help reduce the redness and even the pain that comes with my acne. I am on a medium budget and have no idea what I am doing. This doesn’t seem like normal acne that is hormonal and I’m not sure what I should do. I would appreciate it if you had any suggestions or information. MUCH APPRECIATED 🥰
