I’m Thankful for the Morning Glow
ESSENCE: SK-II - Facial Treatment Essence (Pitera Essence) I’ve been using this for years, I get it when I’m at a layover in Hong Kong or Korea so I get it significantly cheaper. However have I noticed anything? No. Nothing bad, nothing good. It is basically fermented rice for over $200. I have found so many dupes I’d like to try! NEOGENLAB - Real Rerment Micro Essenceor MISSHA - Time Revolution The First Treatment Essence Rx I are said to be better products for a fraction of the price so I will be buying when I run out!!! Fermented ingredients are wonderful for brightens, refining pores, hydration, improving texture, and is full of beneficial enzymes and peptides VITAMIN C: MAELOVE - Glow Maker Everyone needs vitamin c, and this is very reasonably priced, has a great formulation with vitamin E and ferulic acid, non sticky, and just disappears into the skin. TIP: Put in the refrigerator. I found that oxidising is just the nature of ascorbic acid, so this will prolong the life of your product! CeraVe - CeraVe Moisturising Cream I thought this would be too heavy, especially in the daytime. Nope! You can apply a little or a lot, it has Ceramides and totally does the job of moisturising and protecting that skin barrier, especially if you exfoliate a lot or use tretinoin. Do buy the one with the pump though! Neutrogena - Ultra Sheer Liquid Sunblock Broad Spectrum SPF 70 I love this because it’s super lightweight and rubs in so quickly! It does not pill, and I’m all for inexpensive sunscreen because you need A LOT. Ignore influencers who use a “pea size amount”. Not for sunscreen!!!! Slather it on!! Great sunscreens from Neutrogena are also Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Sunscreen SPF 50 and Neutrogena - Ultra Sheer Dry Touch Sunscreen SPF 55 . Dying dying dying to try PURITO - Centella Green Level Safe Sun!!! ✨✨Keep glowing!!✨✨

👆If I Could Only Use One Product
Retinoids, whether over the counter as retinol or as a prescription as tretinoin is highly recommended by so many dermatologists. Whether it’s acne, fine lines, or hyperpigmentation you’re battling, it’s the 1 product to take with you on a deserted island! (Along with sunscreen, obviously) So what does it do? It increases cell turn over, allowing new cells to grow faster to replace old ones. It also works at a deeper level than an exfoliant (AHA/BHA). They prevent the breakdown of collagen and thicken the deeper layer of the skin where wrinkles starts. What’s the difference of OTC retinols and RX retinoids such as tretinoin? OTC retinols are much gentler, whilst prescription retinoids are an active form of vitamin A, with different strengths depending on your needs. You typically have to work your way up to higher percentages. 💁🏻♀️ I am loving DERMATICA. It’s an online dermatology service and based on your concerns and full on unretouched, unfiltered photos of your skin, you will receive an RX formula delivered every month. In my case, i get .025% tretinoin with 4% hydroquinone because I have some sun damage. But your formulation really depends on your skin. It’s very reasonable, $5 the first month and around $25/month. Your prescription will also change as your skin adapts Irritation is definitely part of the package here. Start with the lowest percentage, and you can moisturize first, then moisturize again after Important to keep in mind that retinols, whether over the counter or prescription is not a quick fix. Patience is key here!!! This is for long term use ✨Totally worth a shot!!! Good over the counter retinols to try if you’re not ready to go with prescription strength: CeraVe - Resurfacing Retinol Serum Neutrogena - Rapid Wrinkle Repair Serum

⚖️ The Pros and Cons to this Cult Favourite!
So I’m a bb/cc/ tinted moisturiser addict and I was losing sleep over this. I had to try it. I may have put on a little too much, so now I know to use even less product. Way less than a pump! Only because I don’t like that foundation look I used shade medium: yellow undertones I have mature, combination skin PROS: ☀️ SPF 50 🐌 Loads of beneficial ingredients!! Snail mucin, antioxidants, peptides, niacin, collagen 💁🏻♀️Celeb make up artist Courtney Hart compares the finish to Cle de Peux ($120) ✨A little goes a looooong way ☁️ Creamy texture 💧 Dewy finish CONS 🤡Can be very full coverage if you’re not careful, but some people are ok with that 🤷🏻♀️Limited shade range. Had to go back 2 times and I’m still not sure ✨ If you have normal/combo/oily skin, you will have to oil blot a few times throughout the day I did try the it Cosmetics - CC+ Cream Illumination SPF 50+ but it was waaay too glowy for me!

💧 The Moisturiser Battle is Real
🤷🏻♀️ Loving both the DRUNK ELEPHANT - Protini Polypeptide Cream and the CeraVe - CeraVe Moisturising Cream They both seem to be doing the job of hydrating and strengthening the skin! I’m a Cerave newbie, and this is my 3rd jar of the DE cream DRUNK ELEPHANT - Protini Polypeptide Cream Polypeptides and Amino Acids strengthen the skin while giving a good dose of moisture. It does not feel heavy, and I love the pump style packaging! It’s the expensive option, but might be better for those with acne prone skin CeraVe - CeraVe Moisturising Cream Ceramides and Niacinamide are also super beneficial, and i feel like it’s on the heavier side but I don’t mind that. I love how it’s so inexpensive, but I highly suggest getting the one with the pump included because I feel I’m contaminating the product everytime! No breakouts so far, it’s been about 2 weeks REVOLUTION - 2% Hyaluronic Acid Serum Only $10, and word on the street is that it’s less sticky than The Ordinary. I can definitely see my skin plump up and lines less noticeable! I will be trying THE inkey LIST - Hyaluronic Acid Serumafterwards because it’s such a well loved product!
THE inkey LIST- Hyaluronic Acid Serum
🍊 I may have found the one!
Always on the lookout for a great vitamin c serum and this is a major score for under $30! 15% L-Ascorbic acid with vitamin E, Ferulic acid, and hyarulonic acid 🥰 Not sticky and gives an amazing glow ✨ I’ve used many brands in the past, and oxidising is just the nature of the beast. I highly recommend keeping it in the fridge! Normal shelf life is roughly 3 months Vitamin C is most potent when the serum is clear. The darker orange it gets the less potent the vitamin c. If it gets darker than white wine, time to toss is out.
🤩It’s okay to be extra🤩
🧼 Double cleanse!!! MONAT VANISHING BALM and surprise surprise, CERAVE FOAMING CLEANSER 💧 Hydrate: REVOLUTION HYALURONIC ACID.. I apply this when my face is still wet-ish. This holds 1000x its weight in water. I love this brand, but will try Inkey to see if it’s less sticky 💧Hydrate again: MONAT REVITALIZING ESSENCE -hydrates, calms, brightens, and has so many beneficial ingredients 🧴 Exfoliate: PAULA’S CHOICE 2% BHA -The best salycilic acid I’ve used, non drying, non irritating, great formulation 💊 Treatment: DERMATICA tretinoin and niacinamide - Retinoids are recommended by so many dermatologists, whether you’re fighting wrinkles or acne. Dermatica is an online dermatology service. 💧 Moisturize: MONAT AGE REWIND SERUM mixed with CERAVE MOISTURIZING CREAM - The serum is packed with peptides and antioxidants - This moisturiser is cheap and does an amazing job! Protect that skin barrier 👁 MIZON SNAIL REPAIR EYE CREAM: Snail creams are amazing and inexpensive

OMG 😱 This Setting Spray is Amazing
I am a setting sprays collector. I cannot say it works better than setting powders. More of a reason is that I really enjoy the whole experience of setting my face and whole makeup. I kinda feel like I am wearing a perfume like what they did in old movies. Back to the topic, I have tried different setting sprays in market from drugstore to high-end. Everything mainly distinguish a good spray is the nozzle. I know product formula and ingredients could be mainly the core advantage of a product, but as for setting sprays, the nozzle is the part that controls the mist for. Some of them feels like it spits at you with all these large droplets on your face and hair. And it just ruins your whole makeup. After trying different brands and products, Make Up Forever has the best nozzle and mist out of all the setting sprays in my collection. Surprisingly my top 2 favorite setting sprays are all from MUF. MAKE UP FOR EVER - Light Velvet Air Shine-Control Refreshing Spray It has the best applicator. The mist is very dewy and feels like a cloud. The formula on this is incredible. This is something that I am looking for when I want my makeup to be locked in tight through out the day. And especially when I am wearing a mask for a long time, it leaves my mask clean! At the same time, it also leaves the skin looks a little wet.You can also use this to damp your beauty blender before applying foundations to make it stay longer. Or on your brushes for eyeshadow to make the pigment more intense. MAKE UP FOR EVER - Mist & Fix Hydrating Setting Spray This setting spray, honestly, is a game-changer for me. This one I use it more of a skincare. This moisturized version feels so light and comfortable. It is not as strong as the other one in terms of setting makeup in place. This one makes my skin looks incredibly healthy all day long and it never greasy. It is a really stable product in my routine now. It is also a good on-the-go product for me to reach for when I feel like my skin needs a little bit of refresh in the middle of the day since I know that this spray is not going to add any sort of oiliness. It feels like adding more plump to my skin. It does a great job at refresh and hydrate my skin without messing it up. Both are fabulous products! Highly recommended

Amazing, fantastic serum!!!
👍This serum claims to be anti-aging while helping to improve elasticity, smooth and give radiance to the skin! And it’s amazing!! My skin has never been smoother!!! 🙌 🗣Formulated with centella 🌱 and niancinamide this serum helps to calm the skin and reduce pigmentation. Super watery texture and is easily absorbed into the skin!! 💰$18 for 50mls- it’s a steal of a deal and can be ordered on YesStyle

☀️☀️We hate Suncream yet we are hopeless without it☀️☀️ UNPROTECTED SUN exposure is the number-one cause of two things most of us would rather avoid: skin cancer and premature aging. And yet, the people who neglect daily sunscreen are swift to offer up justifications, chief among them: “I just don’t like the way it feels” Widespread sunscreen aversion has led many brands to bridge the sunscreen and skin care categories, creating lightweight everyday facial formulas that incorporate antiaging and antioxidant ingredients, boast a more appealing texture (sheer! weightless!), and provide imperfection-blurring technology. But with hundreds to choose from, how do you find one that inspires devotion? My solution: Test 50 top formulas As for my personal issues with sunscreen engagement: I have a dusky complexion and very sensitive skin, ergo, my skin gets pigmentation easily; A facial sunscreen that doesn’t upset my sensitive skin’s fine balance can seem like a unicorn. I prefer moisturizing formulas with dewier results; matte finishes tend to magnify fine lines, I’ve found. I want a sunscreen that neither feels heavy on my face nor is detectable by anyone else. My ideal formula must also play well with any makeup I use: I’ve learned, for instance, that the white cast of classic zinc formulas plus blush can leave me looking very mime-y. And last, but certainly not least, it must be fragrance-free or at least scented to a barely discernible degree. Fragrance can be a sneaky skin irritant, and I would rather my face didn’t smell like cloying coconuts or shampoo. I dutifully tested a massive pile of sunscreens of every creed with all the aforementioned criteria in mind. It’s true that you won’t like using sunscreen until you find sunscreen you like using. Colourpop Tinted Moisturizer
I recently purchased Colourpop’s newest complexion product, the pretty fresh hyaluronic acid tinted moisturizer. This product is meant to be and in between product that moisturize the skin, and just leaves a light tint rather than a heavy layer of foundation. How does it perform? Personally, I was a little bit disappointed in this product. I have used other tinted moisturizers in the past, and I found them to be a bit more intense in their coverage. This is really just a skin Tint, and a very light one at that. If you are looking for something that has very sheer coverage, this might be a good choice for you. It comes in over 30 shades, and should match any skin tone. I do find this product moisturizing, and it doesn’t take up or crease like a heavy foundation might. This is really reasonably priced at $14 retail. You can’t argue with that! I’ll give this 4/5 stars. I think that this is a really good product. I just wished it had a bit more coverage. If you are looking for some thing sheer and moisturizing, definitely give this a try. One more thing, I wish that this contained SPF. I think it would be much more of a workhorse product, if it contained sunscreen. Just an idea! COLOURPOP - Pretty Fresh Hyaluronic Tinted Moisturizer
