Hermès, the ultimate luxury brand well renowned for its hand craftsmanship, exotic leathers and the beautiful Birkin bag. They recently came out with a beauty line with one of their slogans “beauty is a gesture”. Well, hot 🥔! With 24 colors based on their precious colored swatches in silks and leathers, it was hard to resist spending $67 smackaroos for one. I bought the classic color in Rouge Orange 🍊in satin. Unboxing an orange box like this is the bee’s knees. The design of the lipstick case by Pierre Hardy is genius since it has a magnetic closure. It was also designed with 100% sustainable materials. That being said, refills are available for purchase at the cost of $42 and the case of the lipstick made of metal can be used forever. The feel of the lipstick glides so smoothly on my lips and there is no sacrifice made when it comes to how highly pigmented it is. It has a rounded out shape and can be applied directly on to the lip. There’s also a $75 matching lip brush (which I opted out of.) The lipstick also has a light scent to it, a little touch of sandalwood and arnica. Very relaxing, incredibly luxe. Pretty excited about Hermès joining the beauty department. The lip makeup of different color department, quality of a material, can give a person completely different sense experience. These days I love to use velvet, satin lip product to create a pure, ascetic and slightly erotic "Kissed Lips". Here's how I've done it.   The essence of ‘Kissed Lips’ is to apply lipstick over the line of your lips to make your mouth look fuller. Therefore, I will prepare two satin lipsticks of different colors to create this lip makeup. I chose two Armani velvet lipsticksARMANI beauty - Lip Maestro Liquid Matte Lipstick in shade No. 500 and No. 416 respectively. No. 500 is the classic red bean paste color of Armani collection. This color is very elegant, but it is not suitable to be used respectively, because this color is relatively light. Matte and glossy lip looks both had their times, but my favourite as of late is a satin finish. I’ve been using NARS - Velvet Lip Glide #Mineshaft the whole summer and here’s why it has won me over.   Glides like a gloss I often use a lip balm first before applying lipsticks, especially the ones with a matte finish because they tend to feel dry. I would let the lip balm set for a few minutes, and then wipe it off with a cotton bud so that my lips are soft but the matte finish isn’t ruined by excess oil in the lip balm. However, this step is skippable for the Nars lip stain. Its formula contains a concentration of oils, generating a smooth-glide effect. The satin finish gives out a subtle shine, but nothing too much. The colour is vibrant, yet not showy.
