My secret to achieving a flawless base
Achieving a flawless and perfect base is the most important process in making-up. I have oily t-zone while the rest of my face is very dry and sensitive. Sometimes there is patchiness around my t-zone, crack and dry patches appear on the rest of the skin. Under this circumstance, I have a secret way to achieve a perfect base that can last all night long. Keeping good skin condition is the best way to create a perfect base. So, good skin preparation is the key to great makeup. Usually, I use the PETER THOMAS ROTH’s Hungarian Thermal Water Mineral-Rich Moisturizer to get my skin prepped and primed. This is the most hydrated and moisturized moisturizer I have ever used. my face becomes so smooth and gentle. When applying foundation on my face, I can feel my face like silk and there is no crack at all. The foundation can better adhere to the face and can last longer. When applying foundation, I usually avoid putting a thick layer of the foundation. It is difficult to blend thick foundation and then there will have cracks on the skin. In order to smoothly blend the foundation, I wet the beauty blender. The damp surface brings more streak-free blending. Because of the dry skin, I also choose a hydrating foundation. I recommend Laura Mercier’s foundation. The brand is famous for its ability to create a ‘flawless face’. The lightweight long-lasting liquid foundation with a matter finish is oil-free. It is creamy and wears beautifully throughout the day. Sometimes I use Laura Mercier’s concealer to cover my imperfections. I apply a layer of a litter concealer over the skin as needed and blend. The last process is to fix all the work firmly on my face. I apply Translucent loose Setting Powder all over my face. It can control the oil around my t-zone and allow longer-lasting of my makeup.

Perfect Base for No Makeup Makeup Look 👀
Hi Cherie Fam! 🍒 I was fortunate enough to be sent this tinted moisturizer from Laura Mercier in exchange for my honest review. This was sent by Influenster via their VoxBox campaign. One of my HG foundations and my HG setting powder is actually from Laura Mercier so I knew that the quality would be trustworthy. I repurchased their Flawless Fusion Ultra-Longwear foundation multiple times and wear it on the days I want to feel super pretty. They make my skin look flawless and provide a good amount of coverage without looking cakey. There is a reason why their setting powder went viral and is still popular to this day. laura mercier - Flawless Fusion Ultra-Longwear Foundation laura mercier - Invisible Loose Setting Powder This tinted moisturizer is lightweight with a creamy consistency and gives natural finish. It is sheer coverage and doesn’t cover any of my acne scars, but evens my skin tone and gives it a glowy and natural finish. This is perfect on your no makeup makeup days and is a way to make your skin still look like your skin but better. I found this tinted moisturizer more long lasting than others that I own. I love how it has SPF (30) and it feels like I have nothing on my skin. This one has more of a natural finish than the Becca Light Shifter Tinted Moisturizer (another favorite for my no makeup makeup days). Becca’s is more dewy, but it has no SPF. However, it claims that it offers blue light and pollution protection. BECCA - Light Shifter Dewing Tint Tinted Moisturizer This tinted moisturizer is a bit pricy, but Laura Mercier is already a pricy brand to begin with. This retails for $47USD and if you want to splurge I say go for it! Laura Mercier has amazing quality and you won’t be disappointed. Xoxo, Francesca 💋 DISCLAIMER I was sent a complimentary sample in exchange for my honest review

❓Drugstore or High-End❓For the two products, my answer is...
Thermal water is one very important indigent for hydrating skincare products. I have a few products that contain thermal water and I would like to compare two moisturizers. I got a 40ml La Roche-Posay Toleriane Sensitive Creme from the drugstore for $30 AUD. Another one, 50ml PETER THOMAS ROTH Hungarian Thermal Water Mineral-Rich Moisturizer cost me 90 dollars. There is a huge difference between the prices of the two products. · La Roche-Posay Toleriane Sensitive Creme #LA ROCHE-POSAY - Toleriane Sensitive Creme[products]# I like Toleriane Sensitive Creme a lot because the quality of the product is worth price. The cream works really well for my combination/sensitive skin. I use it every night and found my face soft and nice the next morning. It releases the pain of sensitive, irritated and dry skin. The texture is light, not greasy but very moisturizing and hydrating to use, make my skin feel comfortable and protected. I love the thermal water indigent because it calms and reduces skin redness. · PETER THOMAS ROTH Hungarian Thermal Water Mineral-Rich Moisturizer PETER THOMAS ROTH - Hungarian Thermal Water Mineral-Rich Moisturizer Another product is much expensive than Toleriane Sensitive Creme but I really love it. this one is my favorite Moisturizer. This one uses the thermal water from Hungarian thermal springs, which hydrates my skin. It saves my extremely dry skin in winter. The cold climate causes small fine flakes and itches on my skin. It became very serious when I applied the foundation. There are also cracks on my face. when I started to use Hungarian Thermal Water moisturizer, I found my skin problem was reduced by this product. my skin becomes firmer and smoother after using this. I use this every night before and I don’t have to use premier the next morning. my skin is smooth enough to use foundation directly. This one is lightweight and easy to absorb. Only a little bit can hydrate the whole face. It is not sticky or heavy and has no scent. Both of the products are very hydrating, but I prefer to use Peter Thomas in a very dry winter. it can quickly release my pain, redness, and cracks. La Roche-Posay Toleriane Sensitive Creme is also a good product but it needs time to repair the skin.
First empty of 2020
Peter Thomas Roth Hungarian thermal water moisturizer became my the first casualty of 2020 in my skincare routine. I bought this as an alternative to their water drench moisturizer because this one is designed to target fine lines and wrinkles as well. It is marketed as a lightweight moisturizer that helps with dull skin and texture as well as aging. The texture is similar to the water drench but slightly heavier. It sinks in to the skin quickly and leaves no residue behind. This lasted me about 3 months using it every night. I like this moisturizer but don’t know if I will repurchase. It is $58 and I feel like there are other moisturizers that perform just as well for slightly less. I do think it is a great moisturizer and does what it says it will. My skin did look more plump and hydrated when using this. I would recommend this for someone who is in their mid 20s-30s and wanting to start incorporating anti again products in to their routine. I gave this 4 out of 5 stars mainly because of the price point. PETER THOMAS ROTH - Hungarian Thermal Water Mineral-Rich Moisturizer
I’m a makeup addict as well!
Yes, it’s true! I love makeup probably just as much as I love skincare. I just don’t talk about it as often. It used to be quite the opposite. I’d gab on and on with my girlfriends about the newest “must have” makeup & we’d swap with one another what didn’t work for us. Then I had a realization in my mid 30’s about how important it is to care for your skin not only to keep it healthy, but also caring for it allows your makeup to do it’s job. To look flawlesss, effortless. I don’t use makeup right now because of covid. I’m pretty much a homebody. & I’m actually quite worried some things will go bad or expire before I personally get back to a normal social life. 🙈 A quick rundown on what’s pictured: HOURGLASS - Arch Brow Shaping Gel one of the best brow gels I’ve ever used! Slight holding power & has great coverage and color. TOM FORD - TOM FORD Eye Quad not as pigmented as I’d expected. Have to apply several passes to get the look I want ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - Brow Wiz Mechanical Brow Pencil best brow pencil EVER! Only down fall is the spoolie breaks every single time. But I’ve tried so many pencils & can’t do my brows without this! FENTY BEAUTY - Brow Mvp Sculpting Wax Pencil & Styler not what I hoped. Wax does not hold well & it’s impossible to work with any other product after applied BECCA - Under Eye Brightening Setting Powder I’ll never use another. Never cakey. Just the lightest, brightest touch TOM FORD - Emotionproof Eye Color love these and hope to pick up more. So easy to work with laura mercier - Secret ConcealerI haven’t used much but did a spot test with this & blended and covered well. Too Faced - Better Than Sex Mascara I’ve had better. 😂 I get thick, full lashes but sometimes clumpy looking. I have to apply carefully. I’d still prefer my drugstore brands any day over this, though. LAWLESS - Forget the Filler Lip Plumper Line Smoothing Gloss just got this & it’s an amazing gloss. Can’t say it plumped my lips as I hoped. Too Faced has a better plumping one but this is by far a better gloss. ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - Brow Freeze Styling Wax probably one of the best discoveries I’ve recently made. I have very thin brows & am always on the hunt for brow products to help (hence why there are four products here 😂) but this baby has grip! It’s not waxy or sticky either. Just the tiniest amount works. I’ll come back with a review and video to show. I’ll start to bring you more reviews on the makeup products I own as well. Add a little breath of change around here. I definitely would love to hear from you what you’d like to see. Any products in particular you’d like me to review? Be sure to 👏 and follow if you enjoyed. Much ❤️ my 🍒skinnies
My Concealer Awards💓💓💓
I have combination-oily, acne-prone, non-sensitive skin with redness and dark circles all year round. I want my concealers to match my skin tone, provide full coverage, leave my skin with a natural look and last a long time without sliding off. it Cosmetics - Bye Bye Under Eye Corrector KEVYN AUCOIN - The Sensual Skin Enhancer Concealer laura mercier - Secret Concealer Glossier. - Stretch Concealer CINEMA SECRETS - Ultimate Corrector 5-in-1 Pro Palette Coverage: IT＞Kevyn Aucoin＞Laura Mercier≈Cinema Secrets＞Glossier Consistency (by thickness): IT＞Kevyn Aucoin＞Laura Mercier≈Cinema Secrets＞Glossier Durability: Glossier＞IT＞Kevyn Aucoin＞Laura Mercier≈Cinema Secrets IT Cosmetics and Laura Mercier are mainly used as an under eye concealer. IT is a natural shade which can cover dark circles and imperfections; Laura Mercier is an orange-toned concealer that neutralizes and covers dark circles. It is also a great concealer, but it can require some more highlighting afterwards. Although Kevyn Aucoin's The Sensual Skin Enhancer can be used on the entire face, because of the full coverage it offers, it tends to create heavy makeup, so it's better to use it as a concealer. I suggest to not choose a shade that's too light. It's also quite moisturizing and it's not as heavy or as thick as IT's. Glossier offers less coverage but I like how lightweight, long lasting and moisturizing it feels on my face. It also provides a more natural look and partially covers my dull patches and skin redness. I would apply foundation afterward. Cinema Secrets is a corrector palette. Here I chose the darker shade in the third circle. It also has an orange shade for under eye coverage, a darker and a light color for contouring, and a peach shade for concealing. It's decent enough for daily use and is also moisturizing enough, but I've only used the peach shade before to cover acne scars.
Foundations for combination skin !!!
Clinique ID dramatically different base: this is more of a bb cream and would be amazing for summer time. It goes on as a lotion but the more it is rubbed in it changes color to your skin tone. L’ORÉAL infallible foundation: this foundation is full cover and makes my skin look flawless (I have combination skin) it does get oily around my nose so I always make sure I set my nose with powder for 5 minutes, AOA studio foundation: I honestly love this foundation and it was only $1!!!! But some people have tried it that have not enjoyed it so I can say this product is a hit or miss for some people but I think it makes my skin look amazing. Overall , I did my research on these foundations and say that the ingredients in these foundations are good for your skin and are less likely to break you out because it does not have harmful ingredients.

Moisturizer with spf
NARS - Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 30 My favorite of all time tinted moisturizer. I use this product practically every chance I get. It has spf 30 sunscreen. It gives me a nice radiant natural makeup look while protecting my skin from the sun. It has a nice light creamy texture which once applied feels super lightweight and barely noticeable. It helps cover some of my redness around my cheek area and a nice even skin tone . As you can tell from this packaging in the picture that I have often used it and it’s on the ends of its days. Definitely will be repurchasing and I definitely recommend this to anyone who wants that all natural everyday makeup look and keep their skin well protected.
NARS-Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 30
Yes! Nars 👍🏻
This product is outstanding!! It was the only thing I would use on my face for two years up until recently, since I’ve been trying out a bit more foundations/tinted moisturizers. But this one is always a favorite, it makes my skin glow and looks youthful/fresh, it makes my skintone look beautiful and even. It’s very lightweight, and doesn’t look like anything on the skin. The texture is just like a moisturizer, so it isn’t runny at all or super watery. Mine is in the shade Light 0. I also love that this contains an SPF of 30! Score 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 I will always repurchase this, i recommend it 💯💯💯 it is worth the price/effort and time! NARS - Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 30

bareMinerals Tinted Moisturizer
Let me start by saying I did some EXTENSIVE research before I made this purchase and I am SO glad I did! I have combo/dry skin, so I was really looking for something that I could throw on when I didn’t want to wear a full face of makeup, but needed some coverage when I was feeling insecure about my skin. bareMinerals - Complexion Rescue Tinted Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 30 This product from bareMinerals is amazing so far! It had everything I was looking for. I got this in shade GINGER 06, which ended up being perfect as they could match it to my foundation on their website! It costs around $33, which freaked me out a bit but you get so much product in this tube as a little goes a long way. Additionally, it has SPF 30 ☀️ which really is a bonus for me because I have sensitive skin that gets triggered by the sun. Like I said, I highly recommend this for anyone looking for a lightweight coverage as we head into summer!

Tinted moisturizer: scam or revolutionary?
I’m constantly striving for the perfect “no makeup makeup” look, and work to find the products that’s promise “your ____ but better”. Tinted moisturizer held an obvious appeal. Significantly lighter than foundation, supposedly less clogging and irritating than foundation, and will give you a natural glow. I got my first tinted moisturizer around two years ago. I’m careful with my money and shopped for a long time before settling on the bareMinerals tinted gel moisturizer. People had raved about this product, and I was certainly intrigued. Since then, this product has become an absolute staple. It has a perfect buildable coverage and can be applied with a brush or sponge. I use a beauty blender and the recommended pearl sized dollop of product to cover my whole face. Some days I’ll do a bit more or less, but I’m always happy with the results. This product offers light to medium coverage (I wear it light) and a decent shade range for a tinted moisturizer. Pros: never melted off oily spots or stuck to dry spots buildable coverage decent shade range not heavy on the face never irritated or broken me out covers redness, evens skin tone lasts a VERY long time fair price Cons: does fade slightly throughout the day (soaks in) may not work well for very oily skin difficult to cover extremely red or uneven tone Overall, I’ve repurchased this product many times but my most recent tube will be my last. Once I finish out my 1 1/4 tubes of product, I’ll be buying the cult classic it! CC cream and trying out a heavier coverage. I’ve tried multiple tinted moisturizers (elf, color pop, smaller brands) and always find myself coming back to this one. For anyone concerned about covering heavy acne or redness, a green color correcting primer set with powder will help neutralize this, and the moisturizer will have no issues covering this green. Can not recommend it enough to anyone who’s in the market for a BB cream/tinted moisturizer! Product: bareMinerals - Complexion Rescue Tinted Hydrating Gel Cream Broad Spectrum SPF 30

My Mental Wellness Improved Through My Self AcceptanceWhen I was around 13 or 14 years old, I remember routinely taking one of my older sister’s black eyeliner pencils before school every morning. I’d arrive early so that I could slip away to the girl’s bathroom to apply a single black line to my eyelids. My parents didn’t allow me to wear any makeup at the time. Although this smudgy line on my eyelids didn’t make me look all that much different, I never felt comfortable at school without it. My teenage mind convinced myself that I needed some sort of cosmetic symbol in order to appropriately express my femininity. Up until that point in my life, society had told girls that looked like me - tall, Black, and with kinky hair - that we somehow weren’t as beautiful as the other girls. For far too long, I believed it too.Feb. 17
