Where have you been all my life!?!🥰😱
Where have you been all my life!?!🥰😱
Sooo my new bestie @LindseyRR sent me this wonderful gift! She said I just had to try it and it was right up my alley!!!! Y’all...she was not wrong! I am embarrassed I didn’t have the JEFFREE STAR COSMETICS - Mini Breaker Eyeshadow Palette already in my collection!!! This little guy costs $32.50 on Amazon.... It was more once upon a time but J⭐️ has moved on to new palettes 🎨! But the full size one is available at $58 straight from J⭐️’s site!! Palettes seem to come and go like cell phones! 😂 J⭐️’s cosmetics are waaaaay popular any way and MANY people have reviewed his products. So I am just going to do a quick rundown! Cruelty Free Amazing Pigment That’s it 😂 😂 MY EXPERIENCE This was love ❤️ at first application and I still cannot believe that this is the first time I have had one of his pallets. Thank you so much@LindseyRRfor this gem!!! I’ve actually used it a lot this week and some of my earlier post especially in the one with the Cheshire Cat. They swatch really well, not a lot of need for extra applications unless you want a more saturated look, they are also very buildable. This stuff is like butter 🧈 . It goes on so well and the blending capabilities are untouchable for me at this point. Keep in mind there are many pallets I have yet to try and this is just my opinion from what I have used in my life. By far the best eyeshadow I have ever used. I plan to purchase more J ⭐️ eyeshadow palettes 🎨 in the future for sure!

🏷 New Beauty Buy!!!
🏷 New Beauty Buy!!!
Snagged this $6 beauty from Good Molecules! Another budget friendly chemical exfoliant? Um YES! 🙌🏻 GOOD MOLECULES - Overnight Exfoliating Treatment I wanted to give 5 🌟 already but I have only used it once.....so 4 it is! 😁 WHAT ABOUT IT?! A Blend of 10% alpha and beta hydroxy acids which help to resurface and renew your skin while you sleep. This formula smooths skin and whisks away dead skin cells! Fragrance Free Vegan No Animal 🦔 testing!! Anti-aging and blemish targeting properties Do not use more than 3 times a week. Do not mix or use with other acids like retinol and vitamin C.....could be bad juju 😬 Do, go on with normal routine like eye cream, face oil maybe squalane oil, and moisturizer. Just wait for exfoliant to soak in. Good for everyone! However if you have super dry or sensitive skin apply a very small amount of oil once a week. HOW TO USE Apply a few drops to clean skin at night. Let sit for several minutes before continuing with your routine. 🚨May cause irritation if used with retinol or other acids. Always wear sunscreen when using actives!!! If your skin is very sensitive, it is recommend using once per week until your skin builds tolerance.☺️ MY EXPERIENCE 🙌🏻❤️ 🌟I have been wanting to try good molecules for a while so I was really excited when this came in. I’ve heard some good things about the line and it is budget friendly. 🌟So last night after cleansing my face and padding it dry I applied a little bit of this oil I only used about three drops. One because it’s a new product and I didn’t wanna go overboard too I do have a slightly dry skin and I didn’t want to over dry my face. 🌟Once the product soaked in it was a little tacky which was fine, that went away pretty quick after applied my moisturizer. I also applied my eye cream but that was it. Personally I didn’t want to go overboard with a bunch of different ingredients on my face with a brand new product. 🌟When I woke up in the morning my skin was so smooth. It felt like 20-year-old skin again. Some of my blemishes had dramatically decreased, and even though this treatment doesn’t specifically target age spots I have quite a large one on my face and nothing has touched it, until last night. I’m not sure how much it will diminish that age spot but just after the first use I am optimistic. 🌟All in all I am very pleased with this product and I am excited to see what my skin looks like when it’s empty!!! I do plan to only use this once a week at this time.

Spooky Scary Skeleton!
Another Halloween makeup look!! One you can make your own! Pick any color scheme you like and grab the basics!! This half skull half glam look is one of my favorites, no costume required! Unless you want to of course! THE BASICS A good primer, I used ILLAMASQUA - Hydra Veil Primer which is very hydrating and good under all that makeup. 💄 Your usual foundation and concealer, I did apply a thin layer to the lower half. Just enough to make a good base to work on. I used COLOURPOP - Pretty Fresh Hyaluronic Hydrating Foundation and e.l.f. - Hydrating Camo Concealer Your boldest brow product, I used REVOLUTION - Brow Pomade . Your favorite eyeshadow palette with poppin colors!! Because it’s Halloween 🎃! I used my new JEFFREE STAR COSMETICS - Mini Breaker Eyeshadow Palette and went straight for the purples. I also used black from my COASTALSCENTS - glamourEYES Palette and the pink glitter from my REVOLUTION - Forever Flawless Eyeshadow Palette I also used the Balm cosmetics - The Lou Manizer'sQuad Highlighter Quad the Emma Lou, to highlight my under brow. LASHES!!!! Any over the top fluffy ones will do! Mine were Ardell whiskies. And that’s all I know I threw the card away😫. Liquid liner, a good pot liner is best for detail work, you can use felt tip on the eyes. I used NYX - Super Skinny Eye Marker on my eyes but MAYBELLINE - Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner For my skeleton face, teeth and so on. However I recommend drawing with black eyeshadow first, it’s easier to fix if you have a mistake. White face makeup, any Halloween makeup will do but I used the cheap stuff from the Halloween section at target in this video and don’t recommend it...find good stuff on Amazon 😂! Setting powder is a must!!! To help set all that foundation and white makeup. I used NARS - Light Reflecting Loose Setting Powder . I used black eyeshadow to color in the black areas and some pink on my jawline. Also I used some shimmery purple to unite the look. ⭐️Be sure to use a good setting spray like URBAN DECAY - All Nighter Ultra Matte Makeup Setting Spray to keep it in place. ⭐️Also I didn’t have any but adding jewels around the eyes and on the teeth make things really pop! P.S. Forgive the transitions in the video 😫 life was distracting 😂

DIY for strong looking nails! 🧄
DIY for strong looking nails! 🧄
-hi! Thanks for reading me in advance. 🥰✨- This is a simply DIY to make your nails grow stronger and look healthier. Fall and winter means weak, brittle finger nails for me. That’s why I have been using these useful Ingredients that I add in my clear nail polish to apply it weekly. ✌🏻 What do I need? A clear nail polish 1 garlic clove (or if you are lazy like me just use the ones that already come chopped 🤪) 1 Lemon slice Virgin olive oil Directions: Add three drops of virgin olive oil in the nail polish. Close it, and shake it a little bit. Olive oil helps to repair damaged nails and cuticles. After this, proceed to add 3 drops of lemon juice. ONLY THREE! OKAY!?. And a little shake again. If you put more you might ended up messing the nail polish consistency. Just like I did my first time. 😢 Lemons are a source of vitamin C, and they are great for getting rid of yellowish nails caused for excessive use of nail polish without a base coat. As a final step, add the garlic clove already chopped. Remember the little shake. Garlic is reach in selenium, which it will helps to make your nails grow stronger. After everything is added to the clear nail polish. I let the nail polish rest between 4-5 days to let the ingredients melt into the product and the garlic to work too. Idk why in specific this is needed, but it looks like it has been a crucial step to make this DIY work. 🤨 Try to apply it once a week, and you will notice your nails growing with a healthier look. I noticed the results in my second week. 🥰 In case you are not open to this DIY, you can simply purchase the Sally Hansen - Diamond Strength Instant Nail Hardener . But I am just trying to make all of us save some money too 😛 Have a nice day! Let me know if this worked for you or if you will try it! 😋💖

types of acne & how to treat each kind
types of acne & how to treat each kind
Acne is something nearly every person struggles with. No matter age or gender, not only is acne so common, but also so annoying. Acne is the general term for the skin condition occurring when impurities, bacteria, oil, and dirt clog pores and hair follicles. There are many different types, including whiteheads, blackheads, and cystic pimples. In this post I will talk about the different types of acne- what they are and how they’re caused- and also how to treat them. Comedone is the general term referring to a whitehead or blackhead. An open comedone is what is more commonly known as a blackhead, while a closed comedone is a whitehead. With comedones, the hair follicle has become clogged with oil, dirt, and dead skin cells. Blackheads have the dark appearance because the pore is open and the oil has begun to oxidize. Whereas the surface of the skin has not been broken and exposed to air with a whitehead. The best way to treat this type of acne is by using medicated cleansers (for example, I use LA ROCHE-POSAY - Effaclar Medicated Gel Cleanser for Acne Prone Skin), exfoliating regularly with AHAs and BHAs (for example, The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution), using retinoids (for example,DIFFERIN - 0.1% Adapalene Acne Treatment Gel Pump), and clay masks have also been known to detoxify. Using non-comedogenic makeup may also help reduce the chance of clogging pores. Please note: nose strips and face strips do not work to remove blackheads! Papules are small, inflamed comedones that form red/pink bumps on the skin. They are formed by excess oil and dirt in the pore that quite literally ‘feed’ the bacteria on your skin and can sometimes even be sensitive to touch. Pus is usually not present in this kind of acne. Once or if pus accumulates, the papule would then be considered a pustule. The best way to treat this type of acne is by using retinoids, antibiotics, and even birth control. Pustules are inflamed bumps the skin. They usually have a white spot filled with fluid and pus in the center surrounded by a red ring (inflammation indicator). Pustules most commonly form from acne (blockage in the pores), however they can also form from an allergen or even insect bites. The best way to treat these are by using salicylic acid cleansers and topicals, exfoliating, and use OTC products that aid in drying the excessive oil. Try to avoid using oil-based products as that can lead to more blockage. Popping is tempting, however can sometimes do more hard than good and the bacteria can be pushed even deeper in the skin. Nodules and cystic acne are relatively similar. Both are larger and under the skin, however cysts are pus-filled and usually softer, whereas nodules are painful, hard, red bumps. Both are caused by clogged pores. Both can cause scarring and often over-the-counter products are not enough. I personally struggled with cystic acne on my chin throughout highschool. I found that birth control helped the most, but also tea tree oil, a natural antiseptic. I normally am not a fan of essential oils, however this is one I used to swear by. This type of acne usually responds to oral medication but topic medications include using salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide, and retinoids. Hormonal acne usually occurs in your T-zone: forehead, chin, and nose. The T-zone is also affected by stress. Wearing helmets, caps, and nowadays a mask, can also cause friction and collect dead cells leading to acne. Junk food, and generally processed food, can cause acne as well. This is due to elevated sugar levels that the body responds to by producing insulin, which indirectly causes pimples. This same relation applies to dairy as well. Personally, cutting out dairy made a big difference for my skin. Generally, cleansing your face twice a day, preferably with a medicated cleanser, removing your makeup before you go to sleep, and trying to eat healthy are great ways to take care of your skin on a day-to-day basis. No stress, this is NOT me telling you not to eat pizza! I always say you are what you eat, if you take care of your body as a whole, your health and well-being will be reflected on the outside. Pimples are stubborn, but also very normal and nothing to be ashamed of. There are plenty of OTC products to begin trying and are equally as effective as a prescription. Take care of your skin and it will take care of you back! Please note, I am not a dermatologist! This was compiled using personal experience, research, and knowledge I’ve gained from physicians. -------------------------------- Thank you for giving my post a read! I am new to the platform and am excited to share my thoughts on topics I am passionate about. Louisa

Straight from the pros!
Straight from the pros!
Here are some really good tips and advice straight from dermatologists 💖 Deal with dryness at night 🌙 If you wake up with super dry skin in the morning, change your bedtime routine, not your morning one. It’s much easier to treat and deal with dryness at night than is during the day ☀️ The ☀️ is responsible for the pesky fine lines on our faces. 90% of fine lines are caused by sun exposure so that makes sunscreen the #1 HERO ingredient for younger looking skin. Start wearing sunscreen early. I wish I could turn back time and use sunscreen from my teens on!! Hair line breakouts bothering you? If you are breaking out along your hairline it could be from the oil on your scalp and the oil from your hair products. A foaming face wash cuts through all that oil without being too harsh. Blackheads 😩 Blackheads hate salicylic acid!! Salicylic Acid is really only ideal for blackheads and whiteheads. If it tends to dry you out, look for a face wash that has it in it and let it sit on your face for 30 seconds. Puffy eyes? One helpful tip for these is add an extra pillow under your head while you sleep . Gravity drains enough fluid to help with next-day puffiness. Ashy skin. If you have ashy skin, don’t towel dry after a bath or a shower. Instead, apply moisturizer while your skin is damp. Creams seal in hydration and work best with a little water. CHECK YOUR SKIN REGULARLY ‼️‼️ Skin cancer is the most common cancer in the U.S., affecting one in five Americans in their lifetime. Almost 20 Americans die from melanoma DAILY 😢 Whej melanoma is found early though, it’s highly treatable! It is important to check your skin regularly for new spots, spots that are different from other spots on your body, or moles that itch, bleed or change color, as these are often early warning signs of skin cancer. If you notice any suspicious spots, make an appointment to see a board-certified dermatologist. Drink less alcohol. Alcohol is rough on the skin. It dehydrates the skin, and in time, damages the skin. This can make us look older well before it’s even necessary 😩 Avoid Hot Water! 💦 Try not to take hot showers or wash your face with hot water. This can dry out your skin and work against the products you are using to hydrate. Hope some of these helped ❤️ ***Pulled from interviews with different dermatologists***

Do YOU multimask? 🤔
Do YOU multimask? 🤔
I recently discovered the process of mutlimasking! It’s multitasking with your face masks! Honestly I’m surprised it never dawned on me to do this until recently! So just in case you are like me and wayyy behind the times, here’s what you need to know! 💖 What it is and why it’s beneficial : Multimasking is basically tailoring your masking to your specific skin type and needs. Skincare isn’t one size fits all and putting just one mask meant to help one thing doesn’t cut it anymore. With SO MANY choices available, why not choose a mask for your tzone and another for the rest of your face? You can create a customized solution to address your specific skin needs, area by area. How? To make sure the masks are able to what they are supposed to, make sure you cleanse well, and exfoliate. If you have a ton of dead skin cells built up the masks won’t penetrate as well as they should. For oily skin and large pores, look for a purifying or mattifying clay mask and pair it with a cream or gel mask that targets hydration. Apply a thin layer of each mask in the areas needing treatment. Don’t forget your neck as well! Follow directions according to the individual masks. For aging skin w/ breakouts- The major signs of aging – dullness, loss of elasticity, fine lines and wrinkles, dilated pores, we all deal with as we age. To combat competing concerns, choose a variety of masks that suit your needs. Apply the mask that needs to be on the longest first, and then move on to the masks that need less time on the face. If you stage it correctly, you can remove the masks all at once. This can apply to all types of skin. Sensitive, dry, Acne prone, etc. just choose the masks to fit each individual need for your face and stage them according to time on face! Example: In the picture above, I choose to use a matcha pore mask for my oily tzone and for the rest of my face that’s aging and usually a bit dry, I choose an anti-aging moisturizing Manuka honey 🍯 mask. The results were my tzone was less oily amc my pores looked smaller and the rest of my face was soft and supple. You can create a spa experience at home by using multimasking and with covid going on, we all need it! If you do this, what is your favorite mask pairing? ❤️
