MAKEUP TIPS FOR LARGE PORES
So, since I have oily skin, my pores tend to be a little larger and more obvious. However, there are a couple tips and tricks to making them look smaller when I put makeup on - here’s how I do it. ➡️ Use a clay mask on the night of your event This is also an important one. It ensures that you don’t have any excess sebum in your pores, making them look larger than they really are. I would highly recommend doing this, especially if you’re doing makeup for a special event and need your pores to look smaller! ➡️ Ensure skin is super hydrated So if your skin is very well-hydrated, it’s going to be much plumper and full of water - this makes pores look smaller as the skin kind of presses together more, reducing the look of pores. If your skin is feeling dry or dehydrated, your pores will look more visible - so ensure your skin is super hydrated. ➡️ Use a pore-filling primer I like to use Maybelline Baby Skin, but there are many filling primers out there! The tip with this type of primer is to tap it into the skin, instead of spreading. It will (temporarily) fill the pores to create a smooth surface that the makeup will go over, creating the illusion of zero pores. Don’t worry, this doesn’t block pores - like the rest of your makeup, if you’re using a proper makeup removal method then you have nothing to worry about. ➡️ Always use a setting powder Setting powder, well, sets your makeup in place AND it helps to minimise the look of pores by creating a matte finish over them. They don’t get a chance to reflect light and show their true texture - making your skin look poreless! 1st attempt at the foxy 👁 w drugstore products!
Just coz its spring in Australia doesn’t mean we ain’t allowed to rock the Autumn look 🎃 I was one of those girls who wouldn’t spare the minute to do eye make up until the covid szn (coz glam lashes were already on and that was enough for me!) Yes, i used to get my eyelashes extensions done every month! Crazy!). And knowing its not safe enough for me to get my lashes done, i figured id need some alternative ways to make my eyes pop more to balance the make up look. And whoopsies, i decided to finally learn properly (thanks to the internet) to do eye make up. And this was my first attempt at the foxy eye trend. Still need a lot to learn from you guys and im so here for it! warm hugs, ugggliz
Like it’s 1996 🦋✨👄
Nothing screams 90s makeup to me like frosted shadow and roller ball lip gloss ✨ Now I was only a bebe during the 90s being born in ‘93, but I do have memories of my younger aunts, that would often babysit for my mom and her lewks 🙌 one of them was more into grungey makeup, think brown lips, matte skin and thin but natural brows and my younger aunt was def more into glossy lips and pastel hued shimmery shadows. I spent all morning looking at old Delia*s catalogs and came across this catalog from 1996 and there it was, what I consider the epitome of 90s girly makeup! A soft lilac frosty shadow, barely there peachy blush and glossy lips 😌 I gathered inspiration from it to create the look you see here, using the products I’ve listed below: 🦋 DIOR - Forever Skin Glow Foundation & DIOR - Forever Skin Correct Concealer I decided to go in with both foundation and concealer, I usually only use concealer but I felt since 90s makeup wasn’t big on highlighter or even dewy skin was a thing like it is now, so it get right. 🦋 wet n wild - Mega Length Mascara fave mascara, you already know 🙌 🦋 Glossier. - Wowder Weightless Finishing Powder I’m trying to use up this powder, and I like it because it doesn’t leave me looking cakey. 🦋 essence - Satin Touch Blush essence makes some of my favorite blushes! These are a true satin finish that looks so pretty on the skin. 🦋 Glossier. - Lidstar Glistening Eye Glow Idk why, but I kinda remember having something similar to lidstar when I was young. I like that these are easy to slap on and go. And the subtle wash of color with the shimmer is so pretty to me. 🦋 .INC. - Roller Baby Lip Gloss now i very specifically remember my aunts using roller ball lip glosses throughout all of my childhood! These are so nostalgic to me, i remember them lending their precious cherry scented lip gloss to me when I was little and it was amazing 😌 ah non-traumatic childhood memories, we love those. And that’s that! What is a trend you remember from the 90s? Or that you wore during the 90s? 🍒 #CherieCreator #CheriePartner
My #1 foundation for radiant, perfected skin 🌟
*yes, I’m wearing the same top as yesterday and my hair is just a mess sorry 🥵 Fall is here! And for some reason I feel like switching to fuller coverage makeup and more matte lewks when it starts to get chillier. Now this foundation is not exactly matte but it’s very buildable and you can get a really nice, full coverage yet radiant finish with this baby. It’s not fully matte nor dewy, it is just some satiny goodness that I think is perfect for fall and winter 😌 I have combination, dehydrated skin and the DIOR - Forever Skin Glow Foundation is just amazing for me, it even has rosehip extract as an ingredient. Rosehip is one of my favorite ingredients in skincare, let me tell you, it is just as good in foundation. I could go on and on about how good this is, but I’ll just leave it here. Oh! I’ll also add I found my perfect shade, I wear 1W and as a Mexican woman, sometimes it’s hard finding foundation that matches my neutral/warm undertones. Most foundations I’ve used in the past pulled either too pink or orange on me, this one is absolutely perfect and I adore it.

I love using this powder, the translucent version. It really keeps the oils from popping through too much and gives my skin a clear poreless look. It cost me about $5 from Walmart. I love using it with almost every makeup look. Coty AIRSPUN - Loose Face Powder
Tattoo cover foundation- does it work??
This is the KVD VEGAN BEAUTY - Lock-It Foundation also known as the “tattoo cover up” foundation. This is a full coverage foundation that doesn’t budge throughout the day. 🙌🏼 I love this foundation, when I apply it with a brush it gives my face an airbrushed look and the brush buffs it out on my face so it doesn’t look too caked. However, this is a pretty thick foundation so it might not be best for someone who likes a lighter foundation or bb cream, but I like that a little bit goes a long way. I also found it’s easier to apply with a brush then a sponge just because it is thick the brush really evens it out But does it cover tattoos?? Swipe ➡️ to see the before and after on my foot tattoo ( I just used my finger to blend it out really quick just to show the coverage capability) Take away- I like this foundation, I’ve bought it twice, I don’t wear foundation everyday only when I go out or special occasions so I like that I know when I apply it, it’s not going anywhere and I like that it covers really well (great for covering bruises/hickies) I would recommend.👍🏼

Products for a flawless face in 3,2,1...
Swipe through me and bae to see the products that I used🤪 The cover picture is completely unedited. No filter, no nothing. After we took the picture and I went back to look at it, I could not believe how flawless my makeup looked!! The main primer I used was the: e.l.f. - Jelly Pop Dew Primer It has a tacky finish that really makes your makeup stay in place all day. I used this all over my face. Next primer was: smashbox - Photo Finish Foundation Primer I used this in my t-zone to help fill in my pores and help give the illusion of smooth-like skin. Foundation: COVERGIRL - Trublend Liquid Makeup I used the hydrating version of this but cannot seem to find it anywhere online now...maybe they repackaged/renamed it? For reference I found it at Target in December and decided to give it a try. It is in my top two favorite foundations I use. My skin looks so smooth and flawless when I wear it, and leaves my skin feeling hydrated and with a natural-looking finish.
e.l.f.-Jelly Pop Dew Primer
8 hours of wear
First impression: very thick but very blendable! This is a FULL COVERAGE foundation, but when applied with a beauty blender, you can blend it out enough to be skin like. Great for all day wear, I’m a little shiny but nothing that can’t be fixed! No cracking or settling! I may not use this every single day, just because it’s so full coverage... but perfect for days I just need a little more :)

FENTY FACE - hydrating foundation
Just going to start with a big 5 stars for this foundation! SUCH an improvement to the OG matte foundation ( see my honest review on that foundation in my posts ) FENTY BEAUTY - Pro Filt'r Hydrating Longwear Foundation A beautiful medium coverage foundation that wears well and looks very natural and hydrating. Doesn’t look dewy, just like healthy skin. + great coverage; medium buildable + doesn’t oxidize (in my experience) + applies great with brush + natural hydrated healthy glow - not so much dewy. + smells so good ( love the fenty smell ) + great packaging; pump tube + little goes a long way + long lasting + not tacky, very comfortable to wear ++ just straight up gorgeous on the skin! If you read my review on the OG fenty foundation you will see I was not big on it at all, but this hydrating foundation has won me over. Absolutely beautiful. I bought this during a sale and was like *bleep* it whatever 🤷🏻♀️ turns out it’s one of my favorite foundations ever! Def worth a sample or mini makeup at Sephora to try it.
FENTY BEAUTY-Pro Filt'r Hydrating Longwear Foundation
TLM Foundation - Color Changing Foundation I saw this on Instagram about a year ago, with all good reviews. Then I watched the Jeffree Star review and he hated it. I bought this for $20, and I was actually amazed at how well it works. It goes on white, and then it blends into your skin tone. I have fair skin tone. It’s medium coverage, but it lasts all day and looks great. It leaves my skin dewy and smooth. I really liked this foundation, and I’d definitely recommend trying it. Based on the reviews, I guess it depends from person to person on how well it works. But it worked for me.

My Mental Wellness Improved Through My Self AcceptanceWhen I was around 13 or 14 years old, I remember routinely taking one of my older sister’s black eyeliner pencils before school every morning. I’d arrive early so that I could slip away to the girl’s bathroom to apply a single black line to my eyelids. My parents didn’t allow me to wear any makeup at the time. Although this smudgy line on my eyelids didn’t make me look all that much different, I never felt comfortable at school without it. My teenage mind convinced myself that I needed some sort of cosmetic symbol in order to appropriately express my femininity. Up until that point in my life, society had told girls that looked like me - tall, Black, and with kinky hair - that we somehow weren’t as beautiful as the other girls. For far too long, I believed it too.Feb. 17
