Conceal Cover & Conquer 🧚🏽♂️
So before I start I want to say I only use these concealers under my eyes , T-zone, & chin. I also have oily skin & dryness prone under eyes.

🧚🏽♂️L.A. Girl - HD Pro Concealer this was my HG product at one point and time. I’m not sure if they changed the ingredients. They raised the price but since then I haven’t gotten them same coverage as I once did before. I find myself having to wait for it to “dry down” which is letting the concealer set for a little bit to get a thicker consistency. The only good thing about this concealer is it comes in a lot of shades and is reasonable ranging from $2.99 (Ulta) to $8.99 (local hair store).
Too Faced - Born This Way Super Coverage Multi-Use Concealer this is my current holy grail concealer as I get maximum coverage with minimum usage. It comes in a variety of shade and is so silky when applying. I don’t have to let this dry down (but sometimes I still do from habit). It covers my dark circles under my eyes and leaves me with a beautiful highlight! It’s $29 which is kinda steep for a concealer but ITS WORTH IT ! I buy one of these and it last me for about a year (depending on the amount of days I wear makeup).
tarte - Shape Tape Concealer okay so I bought this in a super highlight shade to go over my other concealer. I only use this when I want a popping highlight and nothing else. I kinda got stuck in the hype when I got this and I regret it because when I tried to use it a solo highlighting shade I hated it. It’s nice when it goes on but I find myself having to use a brush (which I only like to use for my foundation & setting powder) & it sucked trying to use my damp beauty blender. Consider I have dark under eye circles and I need something FULL coverage and concealing. It’s usually $27 but I got mines for $13 on Ulta during a sale (which makes me not as mad I bought it).
e.l.f. - Hydrating Camo Concealer omg when I tell you I was shook that this concealer was soooo good ! So I bought this shade in my exact skin tone (but slightly redder) to concealer my dark circles and other dark marks that may pop up on my face & it does the job. I love that it has that red correcting color because red cancels out purple/dark blue hues. I can conceal my dark circles alone with this product and usually opt for this for minimum makeup days. I got mine at $6 at Walmart.
L.A. Girl - HD Pro Concealer I use this red concealer as a color corrector when I have bad dark circles. Like I mean like the no sleep I look dead kinda. I love that it’s like the highlight shade I have but it kinda thin now as well.

Who said wearing a mask has to be boring?😷BOLD.
Since this mandatory mask mandate began a few months ago...I was in a RUT. what was the point of wearing makeup if the majority of my face would be covered?! AND when I did wear makeup, I would get MAJOR mask break outs. So instead, I decided to have some fun.
Who doesn’t love an electric blue liner? If you can’t see my bold lip or my bomb highlight, you can at least see a new pop of colour! I made sure not to wear any face makeup (except for my NARS - Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 30 ) so my face can breathe when wearing a mask.
This eyeliner SEPHORA COLLECTION - Long-Lasting 12 HR Wear Eye Liner in Fancy Blue is a pretty good liner. You do have to go over it to make sure the colour is truly opaque, as it can be thin when you first apply it. The felt tip is super easy to handle, and very thin so you can be precise when applying. And the colour is definitely bold. However, it does get a little “crunchy” if too much is layered.
I am still on the hunt for the perfect blue liquid liner, so if anyone has any recommendations, let me know!!

Never let your setting powder idle
Setting Powder is something that can help lock your makeup in place and make it last. However, it’s an amazing product can be used in a variety of ways. If you have no idea, READ ON!
Before I show different uses of setting powder, I’d like to introduce a fantastic powder I am using now. That’s RCMA Makeup - RCMA Makeup No Color Powder, which meets all my daily needs in different ways.
This stuff is a loose powder, with a great quantity of loose pigments contained in a jar, just like a pepper shaker. I have dry skin and this wouldn't settle into my lines or make my dry spots stand out more. This stuff is so finely milled that it just perfectly blends with the skin for a SUPER NATURAL look.
The powder is colorless so it can be used for under eyes, highlighting, or anywhere else you want to reduce shine. It's not cakey and I haven't noticed any flashback so far. My skin looks more flawless than ever! Moreover, it can keep excess oil at bay for a couple of hours.
Except for setting makeup, I always use it as follows:
▲Spray a little loose powder at the roots of hair to transitorily save greasy hair and make it fluffy.
▲Simply swirl your dirty makeup brushes in the powder, your brushes will be clean.
▲After applying your lipstick ,take a facial tissue, press it on your lips, and sweep the powder onto the tissue, you will instantly get matte and long-lasting lipstick.
▲Sprinkle some powder to your shoes, it can absorb moisture and thus odors.
……
One more advice: Just plan on finding something you can pour it into to use, since the top is just has a salt-shaker type holes and it makes too much of a mess trying to unscrew the entire cap to flip over and use as a little dish.

Concealer mistakes I used to make
The biggest under eye concealer mistake I used to make was NOT using a color corrector before applying concealer.
The first photo I applied concealer directly and the under eye circles are still quite prominent
In the second photo the only difference is I first applied a color corrector to the dark areas of the circles, then afterwards dabbing the concealer on top. I think you can see a very noticeable difference between the two pictures!
tarte - Maracuja Creaseless Undereye Concealer best. Concealer. Ever.
Kaja - Cat Nap Under Eye Brightener
This is not my usual color corrector but I decided to try something new. It’s a bit too dark for my skin tone but it still works! It’s also a little too thin and watery for my liking overall.

Comparing popular Tarte concealers
I’ve tried every product and concealer under the sun when it comes to banishing my dark circles, and Shape tape is a bit of a HG to the beauty community so I couldn’t wait to finally find a product that solved all my problems
tarte - Shape Tape Concealer
Unfortunately shape tape wasn’t it. The formula is on the drier side which I had already heard before using it, that’s not the part that bothered me. But this concealer conceals nothing. Honestly I feel like it didn’t even make a dent in the circles under my eyes. Not only is it one of the most sheer concealers I’ve ever used but the dryness and difficulty to spread and layer make this product a major flop.
Luckily I did find my absolute favorite, forever a repurchase concealer, it being;
tarte - Maracuja Creaseless Undereye Concealer
Just wow. This concealer is THICK in the best way possible. It’s creamy, it’s easy to blend, it’s easy to layer and best of all of conceals SO well! It’s truly a gift on earth to us dark circle girls.
My disclaimer, no matter how good a concealer is I still always use a color correction product as a first step and in the photos pictured above I did NOT do that step for the purpose of showing the differences in concealers.

Color correcting 101
Imperfections such as pimples, spots, or redness, are sometimes very noticeable. Sometimes they can make wour makeup to look ugly. And, on many occasions, only the base does not cover completely, that is when we have to resort to the correctors.
The concealer function is to camouflage all imperfections of the face. The key to choosing the right one is to resort to the tone opposite that of the defect we want to hide. To do this, you have to look at the guidelines of color theory. A kind of wheel with all the colors of the spectrum.
Concealer and function colors
Green concealer
Neutralizes redness, so it's appropriate to cover imperfections caused by acne. Acne marks usually have a reddish color. But you can hide any redness from your face.
How to use it?
A little product is applied to the redness. The edges are well blurred so that you don't see color marks. the base is applied so that the green tone is not visible and ready.
If you have a lot of redness, I advise you to apply a green makeup primer. With it you will hide the reddish color of the face as it corrects and neutralizes discoloration of the skin. It also matches the tone and unifies the tone. Once applied and extended, apply your usual foundation.
Lilac concealer
This color will disguise orange spots and brown imperfections. Erases yellowing areas and conceals skins with a marked yellow undertone.
Blue concealer
It is used to cover orange imperfections, such as freckles for example.
Yellow concealer
Suitable for purple dark circles and any imperfections that this color has such as bruises. Yellow neutralizes dark circles with a purple or violet undertone. Camouflage stains in purple tones and black dots. It is perfect for concealing varicose veins that usually have a purple hue. If you have dark, golden undertone skin, it will also light up your face.
Orange concealer
Covers greyish and bluish dark circles. It also conceals dark spots on the upper lip. Orange is used to blur spots, moles or any type of imperfection with brown or bluish hues.
How to use it?
Apply only in the area to be covered and always before the base. But look, don't put too much product. Dark circle concealers often have a lot of coverage. If you put more of the account, a layer will form that will end up cracking.
I only use the green concealer to cover certain rednesses of my face, such as those made around my nose or sometimes a pimple
And I also use the orange concealer to cover my dark circles, since mine have a blue color.
I use the correctors of L.A girls and the erborian cc red correct
