Blushes: Powder vs. Stick Type
Powder Blush: Benefit Dandelion Brightening Finishing Powder This powder blush is one of my favorites, holy grail items of my makeup collection. Sometimes, when I’m feeling lazy but still want to look cute, I didn’t even need to put on eye makeup, putting this blush alone on my cheeks is enough to add liveliness to my face. It adds a peachy pink glow onto my neutral toned skin, which I absolutely love, and this color goes well with almost any type of makeup look because it glows up the face softly without overpowering other colors on the face. As a powder blush, it does not have a super strong color payoff, which is very beginner-friendly, so it is easy to build up the colors naturally. Stick Type: NARS The Multiple #Orgasm Nars’ blush in Orgasm is probably one of the most famous blushes on the market because of its beautiful shade. I chose the stick type because I was intrigued by its texture. When my skin is in bad condition, I find that powder blushes tend to highlight the rough textures of my face or gets patchy, but this product feels very lightweight on the skin and moisturizing at the same time. It gives my face a sheer touch of coral pink with gold shimmers as if my cheeks are rosy from within. However, because you need to rub this onto the skin to blend in color, it might ruin the base makeup. It also doesn’t last very long. Overall, I prefer Benefit’s Danelion over Orgasm because I like the easy application and soft finish of powder blushes.
EleanorFayThe dandelion is also my holy grail blush that I have purchased so many times. I had been wondering if I would like this exact stick blush. Thanks for your thoughts!
What I do to make my round face slimmer
Did you know that with the right methods and tricks, you can actually change your face shape to a very large extent? I have always had a complex about my round face and tend to use my hair to cover up my face. Nowadays, I have found the power of makeup and I’m excited to share the tips on how to make your round face slimmer! Face shape: Like I said before, I have a very round face. I have very large cheekbones and chubby cheeks, so my face looks like a lollipop. But with the help of highlighter and blush, I was able to fake a slim face! Method: highlight + blush position I have realised that if you apply highlighter correctly, it does an amazing job at shaping and slimming the face, even without shading. I tend to apply it on my nose bridge and nose tips, cupids bow and chin because it makes my face look so much more dimensional and actually adds depth to my face. So my face does not look flat and round anymore. I would apply only a light layer of highlighter on my cheekbones because I don’t want to enlarge them since they are big enough as it is and are what make my face look huge and round. Similarly with blush, if you choose a calm and deeper shade of blush and apply it on your cheekbones almost like shading, then it has a slimming effect. Sometimes shading might look too harsh or unnatural, but using a blush to shape your face is a much more natural and subtle way of shaping your face. Products: Fenty Beauty Killawatt Foil Freestyle Highlighter Duo + Benefit Dandelion Highlighter: This is by far my favourite highlighter! It does not provide a subtle glow but a very strong one which I absolutely adore. The colour payoff is amazing. It includes a golden tone and a bluish cold tone that is perfect for any skin tone. I am able to create many looks with this highlighter. Blush: Blush is my favourite part of the makeup and Dandelion is a keeper for me. It is in a very cute baby pink shade with gold shimmer that brightens up the complexion nicely. It gives me a lovely girl next door look. I also love the packaging, not only is it super cute but also it includes a small mirror and brush inside, which is very convenient to carry around. It comes in two sizes, for anyone that is budget conscious, I’d recommend the smaller size which is $25 that still lasts a long time even if I apply it almost everyday.

My GO-TO Blusher For...
I am really addicted to collecting blusher since it is easy to help one look great. Among all brands of blusher, my favorite brand is NARS since it has so many colors to choose. Now I would like to share you my go-to blushers for different occasions. NARS SEX APPEAL-for daily life I have persuaded all my dear friends to buy SEX APPEAL and I strongly recommend everyone to try this blusher. The color of this one is similar to pink shrimp and it is really amazing since it can easily make you look healthy and energetic. According to my personal experiences, it is so suitable for almost every occasion. If you are going to some formal occasions such as interviews, this blusher would show your reliability. If I cannot decide which blusher to use, I would apply SEX APPEAL on my face since it is really all-matching. Believe me, it really deserves. NARS DEEP THROAT-for date I believe DEEP THROAT is the most outstanding blusher for date. It is in peachy pink with slight gold flash which shows female fascination spontaneously. It can enliven the complexion and provide a natural-looking flush that flatters any skin tone. Whenever I apply this one, my boyfriend would praise my makeup for that day. NARS ORGASM-for party I still remember I screamed with happiness when I received this blusher since it is soooooo suitable for parties. Once applying it on the face, the skin would be highlighted immediately. You may find the color of this one is also peachy pink with golden shimmer which is quite similar with DEEP THROAT, but ORGASM is more high-profile than DEEP THROAT. If you would like to become the queen of the party, this one would be your first choice.
✨The Perfect Blush ✨
One of the most beautiful blushes I have ever used is this one from NARS in the shade “Deep Throat”. This super silky, finely milled powder blush is the most gorgeous shade of life! It effortlessly blends into your cheeks, creating the most effortless, healthy, sexy skin glow. The shade “Deep Throat” is described as a peach shade with tiny flecks of gold throughout. In comparison, the iconic NARS blush “Orgasm” is described as more of a peachy pink. So in essence, “Deep Throat” is strictly peach in tone compared to “Orgasm”. I feel this blush is very natural looking; it’s just the most perfect flush of color, that can be built up. Even then, when built up, it never strikes me as being overpowering. I have been on the hunt for the perfect blush for the longest time & I truly feel this is it. It’s absolutely stunning & to be honest, my husband seems all the more amorous when I wear it. Which is not a bad thing at all 🥰 This NARS blush retails for $30 & I more than love it so much ✨NARS - NARS Blush
NARS Orgasm Blush
I recently got this mini NARS blush for 100 points at Sephora and it is actually a really decent size and comes with a lot of product. It is also in the same luxurious packaging as it’s full size counterpart. I love this blush - it is such a beautiful peachy pink with just a hint of sheen (not glitter). I think it looks lovely on my fair skin. It blends out easily, is buildable, and not too pigmented. I really like the buttery soft formula and I’m curious to try other colors! NARS - NARS Blush
HOLY GRAIL BLUSH”
I Absolutely love this color blush - it has shimmering effects that make my skin illuminated- I Have been using for several years it’s been favorite of mine for sometime!! It last all day, it’s perfect on my pale tone skin it’s such pretty Color! It gives me a nice glow without looking overpowering. Very natural! Nars formulas are perfect formula!! -Retails 30$ or Mini duo $22 at Sephora Silky, superfine micronized powder pigments in matte and shimmering shades ensure a seamless application. These soft, buildable shades deliver a wide range of effects, from ulta-sheer to powerful pops of color. Each iconic shade features a subtle pink undertone for a natural-looking blush.
I will never use these two blushes
I got these two MAC powder blush by impulse spending. MAC cosmetics sometimes do 25% off sale, so I got them in a really good price. Even the price is good, but the products are not right for me. Forget to mention, I have combo skin, light skin tone. Mac Blushes: Peony Petal Finish: Satin Mac Blushes: OH,MY! Finish: Satin These two blush are totally the same product, except the color. I will say the powder texture of these two is not as fine as I expected. As shown in the 2nd pictures, it looks kinda dry on my skin, which may makes my full makeup look ‘cheap’. I don’t think these two colors works for my skin, it makes my complexion looks kind of dull and not glowy. Though it claims as satin, it works like matte finish. Color ‘OH,MY’ is too pigmented that I need to very carful when I apply it. Or, I will get a festival look. On the contrary, the Peony Petal is too light. I need to apply few layers over the skin. The only pro for the blush is that they’re buildable and blend-able. For this reason, I will give them three stars out of five. MAC - MAC Powder Blush I won’t recommend these blushes! It’s totally an impulse spending during sale season.

FAVE BLUSHES: MAC POWDER BLUSH
MAC - MAC Powder Blush in Gingerly This is one of the first blushes I ever fell in love with. I wore this so much throughout high school and always got compliments on my blush! This shade, Gingerly, is the perfect warm tan color that adds a sunkissed look to my skin. The formula is super buttery and smooth and applies sheer, but it’s buildable to become super pigmented too! I love how this blush stays on all day and doesn’t fade on me either- because most powder blushes fade on my skin at some point during the day.
