Oily / Acne-Prone Skin Deep Cleanse Routine

avatar
JessHh
Every once in a while, it is important to do a deep cleanse for your skin to prevent sebum and dead skin build up that will lead to break outs and enlarged pores. It is like doing house cleaning, which is necessary for everyone regardless of your skin type. However, since my face produces a lot of oil, I tend to break out more, and I have developed a deep cleanse routine that really helped with alleviating my acne problems.   Step 1 – Cleanse Product: Neutrogena (Deep Clean Facial Cleanser Normal to Oily Skin)    Firstly, I need to get rid of all the dirt and impurities on the surface of my face to get into cleaning the deeper layers of my skin. I use this cleanser because it has a strong cleaning power that removes the oiliness of my face without stripping off the hydration. It is in a gel texture that lathers into foam.      Step 2 – Exfoliate Product: Dermalogica (Daily Microfoliant)   This step is to get rid of all the dead skin cells being built up on the face that are the main causes of rough skin, dullness and acnes. The product has become one of my favourite products because my skin feels much brighter and smoother every time after I have used it. It is in a white powder form and turns into foam when it touches water. Because it is meant to be a daily exfoliate, it is very gentle on the face, however, I would not recommend exfoliating every day because it will destroy your skin’s barrier, and I have noticed that my skin becomes more fragile and red if I use it too often.   Step 3 – Detox Product: Estée Lauder (NightWear Plus 3 Minute Detox Mask)   I always like to follow up with a clay mask that draws out impurities from deep under the skin and helps control the oiliness of my face. This visibly reduces black heads of my skin if I keep up with this routine regularly. This product smells like fresh cucumber, which I enjoy, and has a very cooling sensation on the face. What I like the most about this product compared to other clay masks is that it dries very quickly because it is so thin. It leaves me with a clearer and smoother skin just after 3 minutes, which is great for lazy people like me.   Step 4 – Sooth & Hydrate Product: Avene (Eau Thermale Spring Water)   I use this mist to add another layer of moisture before I lock everything in with a moisturiser and to sooth my skin after exfoliation. The mist spreads very evenly, covering every part of my face, and feels very refreshing and cooling.     Step 5 – Moisturiser Product: La Roche Posay (Toleriane Sensitive Crème)   Lastly, I will rehydrate myself with a thicker cream than I normally use that has soothing properties to comfort my skin after going through the hash cleansing steps before. My skin feels very hydrated, smooth and plump after I use this cream. Also, it is not too heavy on the skin, and has no scent.

My Adult Skincare
Hello all! I’m fairly new to the Cherie community and I’m loving all the tips and skincare products used to help others. At the beginning of this year closer to spring (March), my skin really broke out from the stress of facing a pandemic as an adult and my skin broke out immensely. So much so that I didn’t want to take photos of myself because my image is very important to me and I have grown up with acne since middle school where I didn’t like looking in the mirror that often. Recently my skin type has changed to dry/combo, I’d say that my T-zone, cheeks, and chin are slightly oily compared to when I was in high school. I’ve recently been following a few aestheticians to find my right skincare routine and I feel like I’m gradually getting there. I’ve stuck to this regimen since the end of summer 2019 and my face has changed, but after March, it drastically declined. I have seen positive results with the products I have been using for the last 3 months. I have very noticeable hyperpigmentation, discoloration, and dull skin. I have noticed some pilling that occurs with the alpha arbutin and niacinamide so I’m trying to figure out what products have silicone in it and to keep that out of my skincare in order for them to work together. I wish I did have a before photo, but this month has been good to my skin and I hope to continue sharing and learning with you all. ❤️ Morning Routine CeraVe - Hydrating Face Cleanser For Normal To Dry Skin dermalogica - Daily Microfoliant Exfoliator TRULY - CBD Jelly Toning Solution *Recently purchased * The Ordinary - Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA KOPARI - Coconut Water Moisture Face Cream *Recently purchased * CeraVe - AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion SPF 30 Nighttime Routine BURT’S BEES - Cleansing Oil with Coconut & Argan Oils LA ROCHE-POSAY - Effaclar Medicated Gel Cleanser for Acne Prone Skin *Recently purchased* HERITAGE STORE - Rosewater Facial Toner The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% DERMA•E - Skin De-Stress Calming CBD Moisturizer ACURE - Brightening Night Cream The Ordinary - 100% Organic Cold Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil Weekly Routine I DEW CARE - Cake My Day Hydrating Sprinkle Wash-Off Mask The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution

Ways that you might be harming your skin!😨
When I was little, my parents knew little about skincare so they didn’t have much wisdom to offer. I had to do the research alone and through trial and error is how I developed a skincare routine that works for me. I have made a few skincare mistakes in the past that really damaged my skin, which I hope to bring to your attention today so that you don’t have to suffer the same fate as me. Mistake one: I have very oily and acne-prone skin. I know that sebum build-up mixed with dead skin cells is what causes breakouts on the skin so I mistakenly thought that exfoliating as frequently as possible is the solution to reduce the pimples. To a certain extent, that is true because there will be fewer dead skin cells on the face. However, exfoliating too often, especially using a physical exfoliant, can really damage the skin’s barrier, causing the skin to be irritable and more prone to acne. I noticed that my face would always be red and every little thing seems to trigger my skin. My face would become sensitive and have reactions to skincare products that were fine to my face before. My face would feel extremely dry, but my face is still very oily and my breakouts did not reduce. At first, I was confused because the exfoliate that I was using is a very famous product, known for its effectiveness and mildness. It is the Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant ($59).dermalogica - Daily Microfoliant Exfoliator. It is a rice-based white powder form and turns into foam upon contact with water. It feels very gentle on the face. My skin immediately feels smoother and looks brighter. Later I found out that over-exfoliating the skin will cause an imbalance in the skin, causing the skin to produce more oils because it is dried out. Moreover, physical exfoliates are rough on the skin, which is why too much use of it would harm the skin’s barrier and its ability to repair itself. I have learned to use it only once a week during summer times when oil production is higher and once every two weeks to a month during winter when my skin produces less oil. My skin felt a lot stronger now, and with the correct use of exfoliates, my skin texture has improved, my skin looks clearer and smoother than before.

Holy Grails for Oily Skin
When I first began my skincare journey, I didn’t know which kinds of products are best suited for my skin type particularly. It took me a lot of trial and error to find these must-have items for oily skin, and I hope that you’ll enjoy them as much as I do. My Skin Type:  I have extremely oily skin, but also inner dryness. My skin produces a lot of sebum on the surface, but I often feel that my skin is dry and tight on the inside. Therefore, I’ve always wanted to find a product that can balance the oil and hydration of my skin. In addition, I have acne-prone skin as well as sensitive skin with lots of redness throughout my face. I hated that a lot and always focused on finding mild products that will not cause irritation to my face. Lastly, I have uneven skin tone and skin texture, probably due to all the breakouts and acne scars on my face. Since I have oily skin, the pores on my face are huge. Product One: dermalogica - Daily Microfoliant Exfoliator$89 This product is a top seller of the brand, and I can definitely see why. It claims to help achieve brighter and smoother skin by removing dulling surface debris, sebum buildup, and dead skin cells.  It is a rice-based powder that activates upon contact with water, releasing Papain, Salicylic Acid, and Rice Enzymes to polish skin to perfection. A Skin Brightening Complex of Phytic Acid from Rice Bran, White Tea, and Licorice helps balance uneven skin tone while a super-soothing blend of Colloidal Oatmeal and Allantoin calms skin.  Although it claims to be gentle enough for daily use, I only use it once a week because I noticed that if I use it too often, my skin becomes weak and red. I like to use it in the morning after I have cleansed my face. I would dispense about a half-teaspoon of powder into very wet hands and create a creamy paste by rubbing hands together. Then I would apply it to my face in circular motions, avoiding the eye area. I would gently massage for about one minute, then rinse it off. I always follow with a repairing moisturizer to soothe and hydrate my skin. I love this product because my skin immediately looks clearer and more radiant, and my skin feels smooth and soft. My skin tone looks more even and the appearance of pores was reduced. The price is quite high, but I could use this product for a long time. I would definitely recommend it to my friends and family, and repurchase in the future. Product Two: ESTĒE LAUDER - NightWear Plus 3-Minute Detox Mask$70  I like to use this product whenever I want my skin to be in its peak condition. It is a refreshing, liquid-light clay mask that draws out built-up impurities. My skin immediately feels incredibly smooth and bright! I can feel the gunk being cleared out of my pores, and as a result, my skin looks clarified and revived, with a beautiful healthy glow.  The clay ingredient helps absorb accumulated toxins and debris, so pores look reduced and my face looks clearer, which preps my skin for a beautiful makeup base. I like to use it the night before any important events. After cleansing the face, I would apply it across the face in a thin layer, and wait for three minutes. This is such a convenient clay mask compared to others because this product dries up super fast whereas I usually need to wait for 10 to 15 minutes for other clay masks to dry. I am not mad about the price because it is in a huge tube and a little bit of the product goes a long way. The product is so effective that I recommend everyone to give it a try, especially people with oily skin!

Perfect Combination for Perfect Date Night💗💗
I usually have a fixed simple skincare routine for my everyday life, however, there are times when I want my skin to look extra perfect for that special occasion. For times like this, I would include a few special items that will up my skincare game and help me prepare for the perfect date night. Skin concerns: As someone with oily skin, my biggest concern always revolves around controlling sebum, preventing breakouts, and reducing the appearance of large pores. Being a night owl also means dull and uneven skin tone. Despite having oily skin, I actually have inner dryness and that leads to uneven skin texture. Secret Weapon One: SKIN GYM - Rose Quartz Crystal Facial Roller$53 I only got the facial roller recently, but immediately fell in love with this beauty item. It has now become an inseparable part of my skincare routine. This face roller is made from rose quartz, a type of natural crystal. I have heard that crystal healing has been used for centuries for smooth, youthful-looking skin.  It is true that I felt my skin condition improving ever since I started using this face roller. I think this is because it helps getting the circulation of my face going and it was just a de-stressing experience every time I use it. Therefore, before any special occasion, I use this face roller over either oils, serums, masks or moisturisers to give myself a facial massage and to increase product absorption. I also recommend putting it in the fridge overnight for a more refreshing experience, and helps get rid of puffiness. Although some people might find this tool a bit pricey, I think that it is a good investment and it can definitely stay useful for a long while. Secret Weapon Two:ESTĒE LAUDER - NightWear Plus 3-Minute Detox Mask$70  This is another product that I will use whenever I want my skin to be in its peak condition. It is a very refreshing, liquid-light clay mask that draws out built-up impurities. My skin immediately feels incredibly smooth and bright! The clay ingredient helps absorb accumulated toxins and debris, so pores look reduced and my face looks clearer, which preps my skin for a beautiful makeup base. Another thing I love about this specific product is that it dries up really quickly, so I only need to apply this on cleansed skin and leave on for three minutes or until it dries before washing off.  Secret Weapon Three: CLINIQUE - Moisture Surge Overnight Mask$56 / 100ml Although I have oily skin, but I also need to address my inner dryness or else it could cause my skin texture to be really rough, especially after I use a clay mask that absorbed all the oils.  This product is oil-free so it feels quite lightweight and absorbs well into the skin. It also contains glycerin that is good for providing hydration and cetyl alcohol is another great ingredient that provides hydration and brightening effects. Its texture is very creamy which feels very moisturising. My skin feels very soft and radiant the next morning after I apply it. I would leave it on overnight and wash off the next day to get the maximum effect.

I Spent $130 On Skincare: 🏷 New Beauty Buys
A few weeks ago I posted about my one-on-one consultation with an expert from Avène. James spent over 30 minutes with me creating the perfect regimen for my skin. However, when I went to buy it and saw the $$ my jaw dropped. Over the past few weeks I just coming back to my shopping cart and finally just decided to go for it last week. Here is what I bought : Avène - Tolérance Extrême Cleansing Lotion$32 this will be the second cleanser in my double cleanse system. First I will use the oil based Avène - XeraCalm A.D Lipid-Replenishing Cleansing Oil which I already own. Avène - Thermal Spring Water Spray $18.50. I have used this in the past so I can speak to it’s worth. It’s healing mist that has soothing and anti-irritating properties. It’s the core of Avène as a company and has been healing skin for over two centuries Avène - Tolérance Extrême Cream$38 this will be my new everyday lotion. Potentially replacing my current go-to VANICREAM - Moisturizing Skin Cream Avène - Cicalfate Restorative Skin Cream $42. This was the first Avene product ever introduced to be through my dermatologist and it’s amazing. It’s used to establish and maintain a healthy skin barrier. I will be using this after work as a no-rinse mask. I work 12hr shifts as a nurse and wearing the mask all day really irritates my skin. Also, I will use as needed for eczema &/or rosacea flare ups instead of the Tolerance Extreme Cream. Total cost: $130.50

1st attempt at the foxy 👁 w drugstore products!
Just coz its spring in Australia doesn’t mean we ain’t allowed to rock the Autumn look 🎃 I was one of those girls who wouldn’t spare the minute to do eye make up until the covid szn (coz glam lashes were already on and that was enough for me!) Yes, i used to get my eyelashes extensions done every month! Crazy!). And knowing its not safe enough for me to get my lashes done, i figured id need some alternative ways to make my eyes pop more to balance the make up look. And whoopsies, i decided to finally learn properly (thanks to the internet) to do eye make up. And this was my first attempt at the foxy eye trend. Still need a lot to learn from you guys and im so here for it! warm hugs, ugggliz

Skincare advice from my derm
If there’s one thing I’ve learned in over ten years of dealing with acne, it’s that sometimes, over the counter products just aren’t enough. Frustratingly, the healthcare system in the US makes dermatologist visits and prescription meds very expensive. That’s why I want to share some of the advice I’ve gotten from my dermatologist. While I do use several prescription medicines to treat my acne, the tips and tricks I’ve gotten from my derm are useful for anyone dealing with the same issues as me (hormonal acne, as well as the texture and hyperpigmentation left behind). For reference, my skin is not sensitive—not sure if I was born that way or if I’ve built up a tolerance to harsh products over the years. I use a telemedicine service called Apostrophe, and before that, I used Curology. You fill out a questionnaire on your medical history and skin concerns, upload pictures of your skin, and a dermatologist reviews the information and creates a treatment plan for you. I have a whole post on why I switched from Curology to Apostrophe, but the short answer is that Apostrophe prescribes more oral medications and I wanted to try that route. I’ve had an excellent experience with both companies in terms of the detailed advice I’ve gotten from my providers. So let’s get into it! Here are some things my dermatologists have told me: Don’t pick at your skin... seriously. One of the best tips I got was to use hydrocolloid patches on acne with a head: not only does it help the bump go down way quicker, it keeps me from picking at it any further. I LOVE the COSRX - Cosrx Acne Pimple Master Patch and I never go without them. Look at your diet. My derm says she gives this advice to ALL her patients: limit sugar, processed carbohydrates, and dairy. She says food is not generally the main cause of acne, but it can certainly aggravate it. She also always recommends increasing consumption of fruits and vegetables. Use sun protection—it helps dark spots fade faster, and of course prevents wrinkles. My derm recommends wearing SPF 30 or higher, as well as a wide-brimmed hat when outdoors. Along with my prescription cream, which includes niacinamide and tretinoin, my derm recommends the following products: LA ROCHE-POSAY - Effaclar Duo Dual Acne Treatment, LA ROCHE-POSAY - Effaclar Purifying Foaming Gel, LA ROCHE-POSAY - Toleriane Purifying Foaming Cleanser,CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin,Neutrogena - Ultra Gentle Daily Cleanser, LA ROCHE-POSAY - Toleriane Double Repair Face Moisturizer UV SPF 30, CeraVe - Skin Renewing Night Cream These tips and the prescription meds I received from Apostrophe, have made my face clearer than it’s been in YEARS. I’m thrilled with my progress (the before/after photos have about 90 days between them). I’m running out of space, but feel free to ask any questions in the comments! #CheriePartner

The Benefits of Thermal Water for Oily and Acne-Prone Skin
The Benefits of Thermal Water for Oily and Acne-Prone Skin
Thermal water is a magical ingredient that does wonders for my skin type. I have oily and sensitive skin, as well as inner dryness. My skin is also acne-prone. Ever since I discovered products containing thermal water, my skin has improved a lot. It has been calmer and has less redness and inflammation thanks to the healing properties of thermal water. I found out about this ingredient through the brand LA ROCHE-POSAY, which was introduced to me by my friend a few years back and the focus of this article. This brand is trusted and recommended by dermatologists worldwide, and my personal experience is that it truly lives up to its reputation thanks to the thermal water ingredient. Currently, my favorite products containing thermal water are the Effaclar Purifying Foaming Gel and the Effaclar Duo Plus, and using them in combination delivers fantastic results. LA ROCHE-POSAY - Effaclar Purifying Foaming Gel Cleanser for Oily Skin This is a very gentle yet effective cleanser that does not irritate my sensitive skin. It leaves my face feeling cleaned and soft without stripping off my skin. This cleanser is in a clear gel texture and lathers up nicely to a creamy finish even though it is soapless, thus, perfectly safe for sensitive skin. The thermal water ingredient in this product calms my skin; therefore, I feel comfortable using this day and night. LA ROCHE-POSAY - Effaclar Duo Dual Acne Treatment Because I have acne-prone skin, I often have a lot of hyperpigmentations on my face. This corrective moisturizer claims to target blemishes, imperfections, and marks, which I agree to a certain extent. The result is not drastic, but my skin does feel brighter and clearer. It has quite a thick texture but absorbs quickly into the skin and does not leave an oily finish. And it is perfect for my skin because it is oily and dry on the inside. It can hydrate my skin, and my face feels smooth and matte, which I love. I believe that the thermal water ingredient reduces the redness and imperfections of my skin. Overall, I would recommend people with similar skin type and skin concerns to try out this ingredient. My skin has benefited from it.

My Basic Skin Care Routine
My Basic Skin Care Routine
Launched in 1968, Clinique  premiered as the world’s first allergy tested, dermatologist-driven beauty brand at Saks Fifth Avenue in the New York. I I am currently on a basic Clinique skin care routine which works perfectly well on my combination skin (semi-oily T-zone and dry cheeks with the occasional breakouts on the forehead and chin). The brand is one of my favorites for its noticable clarifying effects without spending a big budget.  🌟Step 1: Take The Day Off Makeup Remover – 4.2oz / 6.7oz This make-up remover dissolves and removes my long-wearing makeup, even those layers of touch-ups added throughout the day. The liquid does not sting my face and feels gentle on my dry cheeks. To use: shake the bottle before using, then soaking a cotton ball or pad with remover. Cleanse one eye area at a time by applying to eye area and holding it for several seconds, then wipe with downward strokes. Repeat using fresh cotton ball if necessary. The remover can even tackle my long lasting lipstick (check my lipstick review) and waterproof mascara without drying my lips and eyes. Score! 🌟Step 2: Liquid Facial Soap Mild – 13.5oz I believe in a powerful yet gentle cleanser as a clean face is everything to having great and plump skin. Clinique liquid facial soap is a considered a cult product. It cleanses any remaining residue on my face without stripping my face dry. On days that I skip make-up products, just the facial soap does it for me. The pump dispenses also helps me obtain just the right amount to clean. To use: lather facial soap between palms and massage over face and throat. Rinse clean and pat the skin dry. I use this twice a day as it does not cause my skin to feel too tight. 🌟Step 3: Clarifying Lotion 2 – 6.7oz / 13.5oz / 16.5oz Already a must-have in my bathroom, Lotion 2 helps me to wipe away any dead skin and make-up residue for a tighter smoother skin. After using this for years, I am always assured that my face is indeed super clean, and it also helps to reduce the size of my pores. The lotion also helps the skin to better absorb the next step – moisturizer! Unlike other toners, Lotion 2 is not too drying for me and although it stings my face a little, I feel that it works best for my combination skin. To use: soak a cotton ball or pad, sweep over cleansed face and throat twice daily. 🌟Step 4: Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel – 1.7oz / 4.2oz / 6.7oz Like Lotion 2, this moisturizer is one of my all-time favorites and although I do switch between different brands, I find myself going back to this one if I just need a a suitable moisturizer for my skin. This formula is best for oily combination or oily skin types, hence it is perfect for me to use all over the face and neck during warmer months or coupled with a strong serum in winter. I can spread the oil-free lightweight lotion across my face easily without it feeling too greasy (even on my T-zone) and my skin absorbs it really quickly too. Its natural ingredients keep my skin moisturized without feeling oily for the whole day or night.

Caudalie Oil Control Moisturizer
Caudalie Oil Control Moisturizer
CAUDALIE - Vinopure Natural Oil Control Moisturizer This moisturizer from Caudalie has been an absolute dream to use over the past few months. Vinopure is mattifying yet hydrating while it traps oil & blackheads as well as addressing existing blemishes. It is formulated with noncomedogenic essential oils that provide antiseptic benefits to keep the skin calm, clear, and to control oil production. I reach for this moisturizer way more in the summer when my skin is at its oiliest, or if I know I have a really long day at work. I love it because it almost feels like I’m applying a filter on my skin that fills in my pores and smooths out the overall appearance of my skin. It works so well at controlling oil throughout the day and it also helps keep my skin clear. Especially if I already have a pimple, I notice this helps reduce the size throughout the day. This is definitely my go to moisturizer to wear on a day to day basis because I think it provides such a nice base that’s easy to wear all day. It also wears beautifully under makeup! At $39, I highly recommend this to anyone with normal to oily skin.

Dupe for DE Protini Cream? (Spoiler: NO)
Dupe for DE Protini Cream? (Spoiler: NO)
First off, thank you for all the love on my post about “curing” my cystic acne! I hope that it helped people as much as it helped me in my skin journey. If you read that post, you’d know that while not necessarily sensitive, I am oily and can veer into dehydrated if I overcorrect the oiliness too much. That’s why DRUNK ELEPHANT - Protini Polypeptide Cream was my angel. Perfection. I loved it. My skin had never been more ~balanced~. Chef’s kiss. 10/10. You know what I didn’t like though? That $68 price tag. I think I shed a tear when my sample size was out. (Not to mention the company’s internal drama, but I digress.) Enter Brandefy, a broke person’s savior that specializes in finding comperable dupes to expensive staples in makeup and skincare. And they tossed in this budget moisturizer saying it had pretty much ALL OF THE SAME INGREDIENTS. Obviously, I bought it immediately. And now, two days later, I can honestly say... After ONE NIGHT of using this product, I woke up with milia and small whiteheads all across my T-zone. The next night, I applied a little less to see if that helped, but woke up with more red spotting. I had noticed the texture of the Acure brand cream was thicker, less water-like than the Protini (which should have been obvious seeing as how Protini’s first ingredient is water, but hey). One AHA face wash and different moisturizer later, my skin has calmed down to where it’ll all be back to normal in a day, but this is the first time I’ve reacted to any product in this way. I’m recommending you fellow acne, oily-skin people stay away from it altogether. Dry skin babes, this might be the one for you. All I know is, at least I have a new hand cream, I guess. 2/5 ⭐️ - maybe someone will find it useful for their skin, but it’s got a limited range.

{Skincare} Murad Oil Control Mattifier SPF 15
{What is it?} A lightweight, oil-free SPF moisturizer that is suppose to minimize your pores by 54% while giving up to 12 hours of oil & shine control. {Who is it for?} Normal, Combination, Oily {Texture/Consistency?} It feels like a light weight cream, not drying at all, and smooths into the skin easily. {My thought?} It was okay! I don’t love it, I have combination/dry skin but I felt this was not hydrating enough for my skin. Even with a hydrating serum under, it didn’t retain the moisture my skin needs! I also prefer a much higher SPF since I’m so so fair, but I liked how my bare skin looked. I usually keep towards more of a radiant look but this was a change! My skin didn’t see any benefits or breakouts from this product. My skin was just a little too dry for this product. {Would I recommend?} No, only for the gas to that I didn’t like this and I prefer a higher SPF in my daytime moisturizers. If you have oily skin or normal skin this might work for you though because my skin was just too dry to enjoy this! {Is it worth it?} It’s 1.7Oz for $42, so it’s a fair price for Murad, but I would say it is not worth it! Just because like I said this didn’t work for me and I wouldn’t repurchase. .Murad - Acne Control Oil-Control Mattifier SPF 15 / PA++

If You Have Oily Skin, You Can't Miss Out This Perfect Combo✔✔
If You Have Oily Skin, You Can't Miss Out This Perfect Combo✔✔
This is definitely the best skincare combo, especially suitable for oily skin. I recommend it to all of you. Give it a try and you won't be disappointed! Kiehl's - Calendula Herbal Extract Alcohol Free Toner This is already my second bottle. It's gentle, cooling, and not at all sticky. It also helps to ease acne, so it's especially suitable for oily, acne-prone skin. I've tried using Origin's Mega-Mushroom Relief & Resilience Soothing Treatment Lotion before, but it felt sticky and uncomfortable on my skin so I never repurchased it. Kiehl's Calendula Herbal-Extract Toner is completely alcohol-free. It cleanses, soothes, and improves problem areas. Using it as a toner mask helps maintain your skin's oil and water balance, promoting the healing of acne wounds. FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Cream Intense Hydration It's very suitable for sensitive, acne-prone skin. Its main ingredients are mostly natural extracts: ceramide, shea butter, oat extracts, etc. It's incredibly moisturizing, offers a fantastic ability to repair skin, soothes skin flushing, and reduces acne inflammation. I usually emulsify it between my palms first before pressing it onto my skin. It's absorbed quickly and doesn't cause acne breakouts. It's known as La Mer's drugstore alternative. What's your fav skincare combo?😉😉
