𝐇𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐨, 𝐈’𝐦 𝐉𝐚𝐬𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐞. I’d thought I would share a brief introduction since you’ve found your way to my page. 🥳 I’m a 32 year old stay at home mommy that lives in the Eastern Shore of Maryland. (the country 🥴 lol) I’ve always loved beauty products from the time I was around my daughter’s age, playing in my mommy’s make-up and avon (she was that girl!) products. As I’ve gotten older I’ve discovered new and innovative beauty + skincare and I’m excited to see long-awaited doors opening especially for Black companies, MUA’s & estheticians in this field. 𝗪𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐈 𝐚𝐦 𝐧𝐨𝐭: An Esthetician, Dermatologist or MUA. I just simply enjoy reviewing products and exchanging ideas with my friends + fam and I thought it would be cool like many others online to create my own space. There are amazing aforementioned creators in all of the professions listed above and I advise anyone who needs more information to seek advice and proper momentary compensation to them. Thank you for checking me out! I’m glad you stopped by! ✨💕
MY BEST SKINCARE TIPS 🧖🏽♀️
Invest in quality skincare: This doesn’t necessarily mean expensive skincare simply skincare good ingredients. Use products tailored to your concerns and needs. Wash your face: There should be no need for you not to be washing your face, especially at bed time. I once read that sleeping with your makeup on ages you 2 weeks. I’m not 100% sure if it’s true but it’s something that’s always stuck with me. Take it easy with the actives: If you have decided to take the plunge into using products with active ingredients ie: retinoids, Vitamin C etc take it slowly! While it might be enticing to head right for the strongest start with a lower percentage and work your way up. This will cause less irritation.
Vegan Soap for Sensitive Skin
The All Over Soap by Graydon is lovely for any skin type but especially if you have sensitive skin. GRAYDON - All Over Soap This soap contains a pH of 5.8-6.3. It doesn’t strip your skin and it leaves it feeling fresh and clean. It’s formulated with a plant-based surfactant making it vegan. This all-in-one cleanser can be used as a body wash, for your hair, for your face, or even as a hand wash, clothing wash, or for your dishes! I use it as a body soap but I’ve also used it on my hands, or hand-washing my face masks :) It smells a lot like citrus, rosemary, and lavender, which makes it relaxing if you prefer showering in the evening. You could even pop this into the bath if you prefer baths. I love using a soap that makes my skin feel clean without stripping it of moisture. I also like knowing that it’s made from natural ingredients and I’m not lathering my skin with chemicals like I’m sure a lot of drugstore brands contain (maybe not but maybe they do? Lol. Can anyone confirm?) This retails for $25 CAD for 240 mLs.
GRAYDON-All Over Soap
Kojic Acid An under-the-radar acid, which deserves some recognition for fading hyperpigmentation & discolouration, resulting in brighter skin. It inhibits melanin production, acts as an anti-oxidant and has anti-inflammatory properties!
