A Tale Of Three Snail Creams

I’m not gonna lie, my combination skin makes it hard for me to find good face creams. My t-zone tends to be oily while my cheeks tend to be dry. Sometimes, my skin would even fluctuate between dry and oily, which is simply annoying. I’ve tried three different snail creams before, one of which I’m still using at the moment. This is my verdict for all three, as someone with combination skin. DEWYTREE - Ultra Vitalizing Snail Cream
This cream was the very first product I tried from this Korean brand, actually. My boyfriend gifted it to me during one of his trips to Korea. It costs around $22 for 80ml. I actually didn’t like this cream a lot, mainly because of the smell. It’s hard to explain, but it doesn’t smell like something you’d want to put on your face. It’s moisturizing but it didn’t make me oily, which was good. I could even wear it under my makeup as long as I only used a little bit of it. Coreana Winage Snail Magic Cream This is one of my favorite creams in the whole world. Just like the last cream, this was also bought for me by my boyfriend. More specifically, it was his mom who recommended this cream for me since apparently it has a very good reputation among Koreans. It costs roughly $30 for 100ml, which isn’t a bad price at all. I found it quite perfect for my combination skin. It moisturized my skin just enough to avoid dryness but it got absorbed pretty quickly too so I never became oily while using this. I wanted to continue using this after I ran out, but it’s not available in my country and my boyfriend wasn’t able to buy one again during his last Korea trip. Dr. G Black Snail CreamDr.G - Black Snail Cream
If you have dry skin, and I mean really dry skin, this cream is perfect for you. It’s quite thick so I use it only at night. At roughly $50 for 50ml, it’s the most expensive of the three, but it works so well that I’m actually already on my second tub. This was also recommended for me by my boyfriend’s mom because apparently it’s a popular cream in Korea. I still prefer Coreana over this though, mainly due to how thick this is. It’s really more suited towards dry skin people than normal or oily skin people. Of these three snail creams, I’d say you should check out Coreana if you’ve got normal or combination skin, and Dr. G if you have dry skin. Dewytree isn’t so bad for normal or combination skin too, but you’re honestly better off with these other options.

Can we just take a moment to admire the gorgeous brushed rose-gold packaging of the Cre8 Salmon Oil Cream? The Salmon Oil cream appears to be Cre8 's star product. It comes in a large, heavy glass jar. The smell reminds me of the Joseon Dynasty Cream, which I find quite pleasant. It is more moisturizing than the aforementioned cream, however, and sinks beautifully into my without feeling oily or greasy. It has a medium texture but spreads out thin and light -- very very pleasant (swipe to see texture). My feels soft and well-hydrated after using it. It does not smell or feel like fish oil at all (thank goodness). In fact salmon oil comes near the end of the ingients list. This cream would be great for combination to dry I think. I'm loving it this season because it feels very moisturizing but not heavy. This cream will most likely go into my regular rotation if it continues being this pleasant to use!

So I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect VEGAN moisturizer that actually works. I’ve tried expensive brands but honestly nothing has worked better for my skin than this baby! And it is sooo affordable. It moisturizes my skin without making it oily (combo skin struggles😪). I loved that I could actually choose between different skin type formulas because we all know there no such thing as one formula fits all in skincare🙌🏻

The belif - The True Cream-Moisturizing Bomb is an incredible moisturizer. I think it gives the skin a nice hydrated feel. It really sinks into the skin smoothly. I have almost used this mini up and I do plan to repurchase this. I think that this could be great for oily and dry skin. I enjoy this during the summer and fall with my dry skin, but I’ll go for a little heavier one this winter. It is a very light texture almost like a body lotion. I would recommend to everyone.

ASK & YE SHALL RECEIVE ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ A friend of mine requested that I do a review on weleda Skin Food. She said it performed miracles on her daughter. While researching I found an article written that a woman’s makeup artist used this and it was an unspoken holy grail among many. The woman fell in love with this stuff & wrote an article on it. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Let’s get to the stats: ⁣⁣ ♡ All skin types. Soaks up fast leaving luminous skin that looks natural. It doesn’t look greasy so oily skin don’t worry. The woman in the article had oily skin and was afraid as well. Although, I can’t attest to that bc my I have dry skin. ⁣ Also, it soaked up fast (5mins) on my hands but not so fast on face. 20 mins later and would serve as a great primer. However, I think this is a great night time treatment if you’re in a morning hurry. ⁣ ♡ No chemicals, completely natural ⁣ ♡ Hydrates with rosemary, chamomile & pansy ⁣ ♡ Sunflower seed oil, Chamomile, Tricolor Viola, zinc sulfate, no parabens, no phthalates, avocado oil, pansy extract. Swipe for full list ⁣⁣ ♡ Heals scrapes, burns, can tame frizzy hair, hydrates elbows, hands, feet, cuticles, driest of skins. ⁣⁣ ♡ Gives the face a luminous natural glow while hydrating deep down under the surface. ⁣⁣ ♡ Thick, balm like however soaks up fast ⁣⁣ ♡ No animal testing no fragrance no synthetic preservatives ⁣ *Scent is herbally and lemony *Target carries it ⁣ ⁣⁣

The TRE-HY 8.0 Triple Coat Dee
The TRE-HY 8.0 Triple Coat Deep Hydrating Cream by kbeauty brand chica y chico more and more with every use. I was initially pretty sus about this since the word "tripple" was misspelled on the label, but it's legit. It's 8% trehalose, a glucoside that is found in cacti and other plants to prevent moisture from escaping. It also has hyaluronic acid and ceramides for strengthening the moisture barrier. 💧It is a non-sticky gel (feels lighter than a cream IMHO) that melts into my skin and smells like a lemon drop. I use a layer at night to wake up with dewy skin; I added a layer on the plane to prevent myself from drying out; and now I keep it in my purse to use on my hands, since I wash my hands frequently when I'm traveling, which tends to make them feel chapped. Seriously, what can't this do? 🏰VERDICT: Deserves its own castle. I ljub it (sorry)

SHISEIDO - Pureness Moisturizing Gel-Cream This gel moisturizer is the perfect way to quench oily skin. It claims to quench your skin immediately and help protect the skin's natural balance, aswell as increasing the skin's moisture retention. It’s gel-like texture feels like water when applied, leaving the skin feeling fresh. It’s quickly absorbed by the skin leaving it hydrated. The reason I like it so much is because it’s so lightweight making it good for layering products during my night routine or under makeup during the day. It also does a really good job controlling the oil in my T-zone. Although this one doesn’t promise to have a matifying effect like the matifying moisturizer in this collection it still does a really good job at it. Which is the main reason I like it. It’s scent is very mild, with almost no fragrance at all. I had a good experience with this gel but I am not sure I would repurchase. Overall, I think for a gel moisturizer I can find other alternatives for less money that would still work the same way as this one, and with more than 1.4 oz. I bought mine at TJ Maxx so if you can find it at the TJ Maxx price then it’s worth the try.
