Brand Review: COSRX

As someone with problematic skin, I can’t count on one hand how many COSRX products I’ve tried before. COSRX is a brand that was established in Korea almost two decades ago in 2002. Its name comes from Cosmetics + Rx, showing how much the brand focuses on solving different skin issues. Since most of its products are fairly affordable, I’ve become a pretty huge fan over the years. Although I started using the brand as a university student in my late teens, I never stopped patronizing their products. In fact, until now I still use COSRX products especially for my acne. Here are some products I’ve tried from this Korean skincare brand! 1. COSRX - Centella Water Alcohol-Free Toner
To this day, this is the toner I use when I have breakouts. It has a water like consistency and is easily absorbed into the skin. It also soothes my pimples, reducing redness and irritation. 2. COSRX - Cosrx Acne Pimple Master Patch
These are actually hydrocolloid patches, the same type of product that is used on patients who are healing from surgeries. I use these when I have a pimple that is already on its way out in order to speed up the healing process and avoid acne scars. 3. COSRX - AHA/BHA Clarifying Treatment Toner
This was the toner I had before switching to my current toner. It has a similar consistency to the Centella toner and I think it complemented my other AHA products nicely. 4. COSRX - Low PH Good Morning Gel Cleanser
Not a fan of this cleanser at all, but I will admit that it’s not a bad product. It did manage to make my skin smooth, soft, and ready for my routine. However, I prefer cream type cleansers to gel type. 5. COSRX - Salicylic Acid Daily Gentle Cleanser
This is actually my boyfriend’s cleanser, but he kept one at my place so when I used up my AM cleanser, I used this for a while. It lathers well but it’s also really drying, so get a nice moisturizer if you wanna use this product. 6. COSRX - Galactomyces 95 Tone Balancing Essence
I only got this because I saw a lot of reviews hyping it online. Can’t say I noticed any considerable changes with this product. As an essence, it was rather moisturizing... and that was pretty much it. I didn’t get any breakouts or suffer from irritation though, so there’s that. 7. COSRX - Centella Blemish Cream
I bought this product as spot treatment for my acne. It did work, sort of, but it was so slow that I’m not sure if it was even because of this product or if the pimples were simply at the end of their life. 😂 With a price of $20 for a 30ml tub though, I definitely didn’t think it was worth paying that much for a so-so product. I’ve been using COSRX for so long that I’m pretty sure I’m forgetting a few more products, but these are the ones I’ve tried in the last 3 years, at least. What about you? Let me know in the comments! 💋

CadamsI was disappointed with the tone galactomyces essence as well because it made my face super oily! But I have been experimenting on when to use it and have found it useful in specific applications.

Miracle acne healing cream!!💚💚
I have fair skin that is dry and acne prone, all of this means that not only do I suffer from acne I really get visible hyperpigmentation 😭. Therefore I am always on the look out for products that deal with acne that don’t lead to dark spots and products that help eliminate the dark spots when they appear. Cosrx is one of my favourite brand as it is affordable, they have a huge array of products and they are cruelty free. Cosrx is a Korean brand and centella asiatica (or tiger grass) is a widely popular ingredient in Asian Beaty products and it is the star ingredient in this cream. Centella is known for its soothing and healing properties and that is exactly what it does in this cream. What is it? This is a healing cream that can be put in active breakout to reduce the redness and help speed the healing. I also put it on healing marks to help speed the healing as well as reduce the likely hood that I will develop a dark spot. Texture: This is a thick white cream that you gently rub over a breakout. Effectiveness: This cream works sooooo well for me! It has drastically reduced the heal time for my breakouts. COSRX - Centella Blemish Cream I love this cream and I will definitely continue to use it!

centella asciatica + spironolactone = 🥰
it’s been a minute! here’s an update on my skin, picture on the left was taken during my peak worst skin of 2020 (June) and now (December). Between now and then, it’s been mainly credited to patience, attempting to pick my skin less, simplifying my routine, and a few amazing products that my skin just seems to really agree with. here’s my routine: Morning/Day: Cetaphil - Gentle Skin Cleanser This amazing aloe / glycerine/ squalane moisturizer that I get from a local aesthetician. Linking here! It is SO light and doesn’t clog skin but moisturizers super well. I go thru this like crazy. 10/10 https://www.smartcosmeticstudio.com/shop/exzit-moisture TULA SKINCARE - Cooling & Brightening Eye Balm MARIO BADESCU - Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater DRUNK ELEPHANT - Lippe Balm Night: Same routine but adding: COSRX - Centella Blemish Cream I literally would be LOST without this product. I use it over moisturizer- it’s pretty thick and probably should be used as a spot treatment, but I cover my face lightly in it. I found it’s been amazing for acne scars, healing, lightening, and soothing redness. Nexcare - Nexcare Acne Blemish Cover Amazing and so cheap on amazon Or... PanOxyl - PM Overnight Spot Patches love these but a little more expensive. I have that on in my picture on the right! I’m also on 100mg/ day of Spironolactone for about 6mo as prescribed by my Dermatologist. I recommend this as an alternative if no over the counter products are helping, it took a while to start working but saves me from the horrible and painful under skin pimples which would probably be convering my face if I weren’t taking this! 🤍

Rosacea: Basic Necessities
Cleanser: COSRX - Low PH Good Morning Gel Cleanser My favorite cleanser I’ve ever used! It’s super affordable, and the low pH and gentle ingredients are great for sensitive skin—it doesn’t leave my skin feeling tight or dried out after using. The tea tree in it also helps minimize my pores. And I love the gel consistency! It works well with my oily skin. Basically a home run for me. Toner: COSRX - Centella Water Alcohol-Free Toner Alcohol-free toners are KEY for those with rosacea. I found this toner at a local beauty supply shop and was drawn to it because it’s a little harder to find alcohol-free toners and the price was right. Additionally, centella is an amazing ingredient for soothing the skin and is found in a lot of skincare products that target rosacea. Betaine and allantoin are also great for sensitive skin. Exfoliant: PAULA'S CHOICE - Calm Redness Relief 1% BHA Lotion Salicylic Acid Exfoliant I’m out of this product right now, so it’s not pictured above. This BHA exfoliant is gentle enough for my skin and noticeably improves it. I only use this at night. If you use an exfoliant during the day, you MUST wear sunscreen, too! Moisturizer: CeraVe - PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion This is the perfect weight for me to use everyday. I use about 1.5-2 pumps every time I use it. The ingredients are great for all skin types, it’s affordable, and the weight ensures that my pores never get clogged. Face Oil: LEO OIL - LEO OIL 30 Label This was a recent purchase that I actually found on Instagram. Because it’s getting colder, I wanted a face oil I could apply at night to keep it super hydrated. I liked this product because I wanted to support a small business, and its ingredients are all great for sensitive skin: meadowfoam oil, rosehip seed oil, and blue tansy. When I use it, my skin looks radiant afterwards. I haven’t used it long enough to say for certain I’ll buy it again, but it’s definitely looking that way. Sunscreen: elta md SKINCARE - UV Clear Broad Spectrum SPF 46 One of my biggest but arguably most necessary splurges. This has been my favorite SPF for years, because there’s nothing like it. There’s no better high SPF mineral sunscreen on the market, both of which are necessary for folks with rosacea. It’s also unscented, a little goes a long way, and it absorbs into the skin pretty well. This is the only sunscreen I would recommend from what’s currently out there.

Different Toners For Different Skin Issues
I’ve had my fair share of skin issues in the past. I have combination skin that tends to fluctuate between oily and dry. I also get pimples occasionally, as well as blackheads and whiteheads. Here are three toners I’ve used that tackle different skin issues. The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution This is actually my go-to toner these days. It contains 7% glycolic acid which is already effective in brightening up the skin and lightening dark spots but is still gentle enough to avoid skin irritations. I typically use this during my PM routine since Glycolic Acid is an AHA that can cause extra sun sensitivity. Take note, it’s not recommended to use your palms to apply this, so it’s better to use a cotton pad or cotton ball instead. Nonetheless, I’m really loving the effect of Glycolic Acid on my skin. COSRX - Centella Water Alcohol-Free Toner Centella Water Toner is what I use whenever I get breakouts. I’ve already featured it in a few other reviews before because that’s just how much I love it. I still use this in the morning even if I don’t have pimples, but when I do, I skip the glycolic acid and use this instead. I even soak a cotton ball in it and press it against particularly big pimples just to make sure that it seeps in. COSRX - AHA/BHA Clarifying Treatment Toner This is what I used before I switched to the Glycolic Acid toner. I also used it for my PM routine. At $13, it’s certainly affordable enough. Its consistency is very watery, the same as the other toners in this list. Since it’s an AHA/BHA toner, it’s supposed to have the same effects as the glycolic acid toner. But while it did complement my other AHA products well, the effects weren’t as noticeable, even after I finished the whole bottle. Final verdict? Obviously, I really enjoy using the glycolic acid toner and the Centella water toner. In fact, the GA one is on my HG list right now. I’m still on the lookout for good toners for pimples, but I think I’ll finish the Centella water toner bottle first before buying another one. As for the AHA/BHA toner, it’s not a bad product at all, but I just don’t see a reason to repurchase it.

PIMPLE PATCHES
Are they worth the try? Short answer: yes. Long answer is if you experience some pimples every now and then, and/or cannot resist picking at them, pimple patches may be for you. In my experience, they do reduce the pain/swelling and prevent you from touching it directly. I think the coolest and most satisfying part of using pimple patches is when you peel it off and see the remains. Would I repurchase? Probably not as I’d rather spend the money for a 🥪 or 🧋 however I found that the dollar store version (shown in the middle) works quite well in comparison. What are your thoughts/experiences with pimple patches?

a pimple patch that ACTUALLY works!
hey y’all! i’ve always been pretty skeptical about pimple patches. i figured they’d never work on my deep cystic acne, especially after using pimple patches such as zitsticka and peach slices... those didn’t seem to help at all. i decided to give pimple patches a second chance. i purchased two packs of these pimple patches from COSRX, and one pack of pimple patches from hero cosmetics. needless to say.... i will forever be re-purchasing these, especially because of how affordable they are: ONLY $6!!!!!! COSRX - Cosrx Acne Pimple Master Patch these patches are waterproof spot patches that protect blemishes from bacteria and absorb impurities overnight while encouraging healthy skin hydration. one patch can significantly reduce the appearance of an unwanted blemish so you wake up to happier skin (ulta description). as you can see, i had a humongousssssss pimple on my forehead, that was quite literally sticking out of my forehead. it was big and hard, and was so painful. i popped one of these bad boys on and by the next morning, IT WAS COMPLETELY FLAT. you can’t really tell through the photo, but i’m telling you, it pulled ALL of the pus out, and my pimple was F L A T. my next post will be hero cosmetic’s pimple patches!

Morning Routine- Paula’s Choice
Hi guys! I recently purchased some new products from Paula’s Choice and decided to update my morning skin care routine. Thought I would share my routine here and then give you an update in a few months to let you know how the products performed! My skin: oily/combo, dehydrated patches from using tretinoin at night, clogged pores and comedonal acne, PIH, not sensitive. CLEANSER: CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin I’ve been using this for months and love it. Does a great job of removing everything yet not stripping my skin. One of the game changers in my routine has been cleansing for longer (30-60 sec) and GENTLY (don’t scrub or rub at your skin). TONER: PAULA'S CHOICE - Pore-Reducing Toner While toners aren’t necessary in general, this one I cannot live without. It is so hydrating and has my skin feeling so good. It contains niacinamide to help diminish look of pores and control oil. ESSENCE: COSRX - Galactomyces 95 Tone Balancing Essence I use this more as a serum than an “essence” but I like it a lot. Contains niacinamide and hyaluronic acid. Very hydrating yet perfect for my oily skin. EXFOLIANT: PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator Got this as a free sample. Only used it twice but I was surprised by how gentle and hydrating it was during application. However, my skin was pretty dry the next morning. I’m currently only using it once a week since I also use a strong retinoid at night. (Not a dealbreaker for me but this product smells BAD). TREATMENT: PAULA'S CHOICE - 10% Azelaic Acid Booster Azelaic acid has so many benefits and I’m sure you don’t need me to list them all here. Bought mostly to help fade PIH from acne spots. I use this 3-4 times per week. This formulation also includes salicylic acid so I don’t use this on the same day as the exfoliant. Azelaic acid is safe to use with almost any other skin care active. EYE CREAM: VERSED - VACATION EYES Brightening Eye Gel I haven’t made up my mind on eye creams in general yet but decided to try this to see if it helps with dark circles (contains vitamin C). I doubt it will but I’ll give it more time and update you all. SUNSCREEN: PAULA'S CHOICE - Super-Light Daily Wrinkle Defense SPF 30 Have used this twice and already it’s one of my favourite sunscreens. I’m partial to mineral sunscreens and I was surprised how light, easily spreadable and beautiful this looks and feels on my skin. It doesn’t leave a white cast or make my skin greasy. Has an amazing satin matte finish. This formula also contains antioxidants and resveratrol! Not super hydrating so if you have drier skin I’d place a moisturizer underneath, but for me it’s fine on its own. Let me know what you think!

Almost returned COSRX Galactomyces Essence...
... but instead, I decided to experiment. First impressions This is not for me. Why? Because it made my face oily throughout the day and highlighted the uneven texture of my skin. Because I don’t want a product to highlight my flaws, I almost returned the product. -What a hassle- So I thought, if it’s supposed to help other products absorb and aid in moisture retention, perhaps I just need to play with the products I use in conjunction with it. Second impressions Experiment 1a) Apply BEFORE RoC - Retinol Correxion Line Smoothing Night Serum Capsules retinol at night Follow with THE BODY DELI - Nourish Night Cream Results The next morning my skins was not dry or flakey despite the retinol application. The moisturizer did it’s job but the night cream stung upon application Experiment 1b) Apply AFTER retinol at night Follow with night cream (Same products as above) Results Same as experiment 1a. Except, the essence did not sting upon application. The night cream still did. Thoughts on Exp. 1a&b I thought that maybe the cream stung because it interacted with the essence. Based on the results of changing up the layering sequence, I have concluded that the sting was from the retinol plus night cream; not from the essence and night cream. This is a super gentle product that helps retain moisture. Even with retinol, it did not burn my face. It was quite the opposite, very soothing. It is for this reason I continued to Experiment 2. Experiment 2 Apply after GLAMGLOW - SUPERMUD Clearing Treatment Mask (I don’t normally use mud masks anymore because they dry me out. Also, Despite being marketed to clear your pores, I see the little pore sebums poking through and not absorb the mask.) Results My face did not tighten up and feel parched and devoid of any moisture after immediately applying the essence post mud mask. I followed the essence with HERITAGE STORE - Rosewater Aromatherapy Water Rose Petals to give it some extra goodness. Thoughts on Exp.2 It felt really good to put on the essence and rose water. I’m always a little sad to apply a cream or lotion after a mask because I’m trying to get the stuff OFF my face, and I would like to enjoy that deep clean feeling. These two products were the PERFECT solution to maintain that no-product feel without compromising moisture. Overall impression If you have oily/combo skin I would not recommend using this essence before your moisturizer in the AM because it might work too good and you’ll end up slick. Instead, use it as a treatment after products that dry you out. (Best in the PM.) If you have dry skin, perhaps this is why so many people rave that it is a godsend... it helps retain your moisturizer! Thoughts? Opinions? Advice? Let me know!

Best cleanser for acne prone skin
For #fridayfavorites I want to highlight a #cultfavorite COSRX - Low PH Good Morning Gel Cleanser After hearing so many good things about this cleanser I had to try it. I ordered it from Stylevana and was happy that the order arrived in a week! For 11 CAD I think it’s value for money considering how good this cleanser is. It’s very gentle on my skin and I tend to use this cleanser more often than others. It has a gel like consistency and is not too foamy and a little goes a long way. It washes away impurities without stripping my skin. It has a low PH which is said to be effective in protecting our skin’s acid mantle. #acidmantle protects the skin from harmful bacteria that can cause acne and other skin problems. Low ph cleansers are also good for people with eczema and dryness. FUN FACT: did you know this product was crowd sourced!! Customers gave feedback to @cosrx asking for a low ph cleanser and they delivered! Isn’t that awesome! #fridayfavorites #funfactfridays #cosrxcleanser #cosrxph #fanfav #kleanbsecrets #myfavoriteproducts #skincareproductsthatwork #skincareproducts #skincarephotography #productphotographer #productphotography #torontoskincareblogger #skincareformen #skincareforallcultures

Cleansing routine for Acne Prone Skin ✨
Hi Cherie Friends, I just wanted to share my favorite AM and PM cleansing routine. Skin Background: I’m in my mid thirties and I have combination-to-dry, sensitive reactive and acne prone skin. I also have eczema... all around fun times. My main concerns are of course treating breakouts, maintain balance moisture level, and stop the aging clock as much as possible. I mainly only use cruelty-free, Vegan when possible products— there’s no need for that nonsense with the myriad of technology that we have today. 🌙PM Cleansing routine: When I wear a full face of make up I like to triple cleanse. ELEMIS - Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm I will massage a pea to some size of this baby all over my face. This is so gentle and really breakdown all my waterproof mascara and foundation. MakeUp Eraser - Holiday Set Then remove them with these babies. Did you know that one pad can replace up to 500 make up wipes? Which all end up in our ocean or the landfills. I usually repeat this step, depends on how I’m feeling. #Zenmed - Facial Cleansing Gel[products]#[FiveStars] Friends, if you have not heard of Zenmed and you have acne— you must try it! This is a gentle gentle cleanser that doesn’t strip the skin and cleans so well. I just put a dime size cleanser on myMICHAEL TODD BEAUTY - Soniclear Petite Antimicrobial Sonic Skin Cleansing Brush with MICHAEL TODD BEAUTY - Delicate Sensitive Skin Antimicrobial Brush Head My skin feels so soft and clean after 2 minutes of cleansing. The brush tells you when you’re finished I also use the cleansing brush with MICHAEL TODD BEAUTY - Soniclear Replacement Serum Infusion Head to massage in the serums. On Non-make up days: I still use my MICHAEL TODD BEAUTY - Soniclear Petite Antimicrobial Sonic Skin Cleansing Brush & MICHAEL TODD BEAUTY - Delicate Sensitive Skin Antimicrobial Brush Head With a dollop of COSRX - Low PH Good Morning Gel Cleanser I also really love how gentle this cleanser is and the added BHA helps to gentility exfoliate any excess dead skin cells and sebum. ☀️ AM Cleansing Routine: I hate waking up guys... I hate it so much. So I pretty much keep it really simple. Glossier. - Milky Jelly Cleanser I’ve been loving this gentle cleanser. It smells amazing and super super gentle and pack enough punch to just remove the gunk out of my eyes and wake me up. I believe you can also use this to remove make up but I haven’t tried it yet. I’m actually running out of cleansers, please let me know your favorites below! 🐰cruelty free Thank you! Be Kind, Stay Beautiful

My small skin journey, please help me!
Usually skin journeys are to show the improvement of your skin when you use certain products, however my skin has been getting worse. My first picture was August 10th, I don’t remember what face wash I was using, but I was using The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% and The Ordinary - Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG . I rated the Niacinamide 5 out of 5 because it really helped with my dark spots, at the time I was at the beach a lot and even though I put on sunscreen, dark spots would appear on my nose. That’s where I would notice them the most. Whenever I used the Niacinamide, I really noticed that it would help fade the dark spots and I really liked that. I’ve been using the Caffeine Solution for a while because I have pretty bad dark circles, I can’t tell if it’s been helping or not but I think it has a little. In the second picture which was today November 2nd, my skin is freaking out. You might not be able to tell in the picture but I have two cystic acne pimples, one on my forehead and one on my left cheek. Usually I don’t really get cystic acne but I have been getting them a lot more often. I believe this is the most I have been breaking out throughout the months. Let me give a quick background, I was on vacation June-August 19th and that’s why I only had few products. When I got home I bought more products, these products were from The Ordinary. These products included The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5, The Ordinary - Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA. The Ordinary - Azelaic Acid Suspension 10%and since I ran out of the Niacinamide I had before I bought the 60 mL bottle because they were out of the 30mL on Sephora. I used The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% and The Ordinary - Azelaic Acid Suspension 10%in the morning. Then The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% and The Ordinary - Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA in the night. At first everything was fine, I had a few pimples but I didn’t think much of it, however my skin became very irritated, it dried out, which was weird because I have oily skin. I stopped using all of those products for a bit and used The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5and The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% together since I knew Hyaluronic Acid helps with moisture and I knew Niacinamide worked for me already, that’s why I used them together. Even when I used those two and stopped using the others, my skin didn’t get much better, it was still very dry, it hurt to put products on it. Even the niacinamide I felt like it wasn’t working for me and I’m not sure why because it worked before. In the second pic, I recently started to use COSRX - Salicylic Acid Daily Gentle Cleanser, íUNIK - Calendula Complete Cleansing Oil,MIZON - Snail Repair Eye Creamas well as The Ordinary - Retinol 1% in Squalane

How I Deal With My Acne
How I Deal With My Acne
Big disclaimer before I begin: I don’t get a lot of huge breakouts. My main problems are dark spots and dullness. Acne? Not so much, although I do get pimples here and there around my monthly period. My methods for getting rid of my acne may not work for people who deal with a lot of cystic acne, but if I manage to at least point you in the right direction, it would make me really, really happy! ☺️ So anyway, like many other people out there, I tend to get pimples on my nose, forehead, jaw, and chin. There’s nothing wrong with getting pimples, but I can’t deny that not only do they not look pretty, they’re also a hassle to deal with (painful pimples, I’m glaring at you right now). This method has never failed to solve my issue with my pimples. Whenever I get them, I simply use these three products. If I happen to have a breakout, I switch my toner to COSRX - Centella Water Alcohol-Free Toner because it’s really gentle and soothing to the skin. Centella is an ingredient that is known to be really effective for blemished skin. But not all Centella products are effective in removing pimples. In fact, for a while, I also used COSRX - Centella Blemish Cream but it worked so slowly that I wasn’t sure if it even helped. Plus, with a price tag of $20 per 30ml tub, I found it too expensive for something that didn’t work too well. Thankfully, I discovered MARIO BADESCU - Mario Badescu Drying Lotion It’s roughly $25 per 30ml bottle, which is technically more expensive than Cosrx’s Blemish Cream. But since it works like magic, it’s really worth the price you pay. Just dip a q-tip into the bottle and apply the solution right on your pimple. When you wake up the next day, your pimple will be either be flat or considerably smaller. That’s why I said it works like magic. Once the pimple starts drying, I use COSRX - Cosrx Acne Pimple Master Patch to cover it up and to speed up the healing. I also use it on pimples that have already popped, because again, it helps greatly with the healing process. It also helps me avoid scars that could come from pimples. With just these three products, I could easily deal with my pimples, especially around that time of the month. What about you, what do you use to combat your acne? Let me know in the comments below!

krave great barrier relief
Krave - Great Barrier Relief is such a popular product for acne-prone skin. it is a skin-soothing serum that restores your damaged skin barrier while evening out your complexion. it aims to help restore a healthy skin barrier. the formula is luxurious, light and easily absorbed into the skin. it also has a very unique earthy scent from the tamanu oil, which is the main ingredient in this serum. because i have sensitive skin, i love using this whenever my skin is irritated or having allergic reactions. the tamanu oil definitely helps calm acne and redness. i highly recommend this product for those who have acne-prone and/or sensitive skin. for just $28, i think this serum is worth it!

My acne fighting arsenal 🥊🥊
My acne fighting arsenal 🥊🥊
With the crazy weather, stress, and constant mask wearing this summer, my skin has decided we are no longer friends and has left me a ton of acne to deal with. Luckily these products have all been major helpers in keeping my skin clear and calm! THE inkey LIST - Beta Hydroxy Acid (BHA) Blemish + Blackhead Serum The inkey list BHA is super no-nonsense in that the serum is literally just BHA with no added frills or anything. I use this regularly at night a few times a week to help keep my pores clear, but it also helps a ton with active acne too which I love. I don’t find it drying which is why I like it so much. I don’t love the texture which I find a bit sticky tbh. Signature CLEAR - Magic Oil: Oil Cleanser and Face Oil This oil is the actual best around. It’s formula is very simple but it has really great ingredients for calming acne prone skin and reducing inflammation. I use this mixed into my moisturizer every single night to attempt to keep my skin clear and happy. Warning, it has a very earthy smell to it in case you’re sensitive to these things! a love story. - Boy Tears Hydrating Essence This is another BHA product in the form of an essence. I find this to be so so gentle that it can easily be used every single day. I feel like the daily use allows me to reduce acne since it’s being used consistently. SOME BY MI - AHA. BHA. PHA 30 Days Miracle Cream I ended up really liking this cream this summer. It has AHA, BHA and PHA which all penetrate the skin to different levels so skin can be exfoliated fully. It isn’t very strong and it also contains niacinamide and tea tree to help keep skin super clear. I feel like it has such a great combo of ingredients so it really does help my skin overall. It’s just not quite moisturizing enough for me so I often need to pair it with another cream. ROSEN SKINCARE - Break-Out This is fairly new to me but took me no time to fall in love. This spot treatment uses peppermint oil to target acne spots along with zinc. I use this only on active spots and notice that they are reduced the next day without leaving a dried up spot in the location of the acne. So essentially it takes care of the acne without drying my skin past the point of no return.

VERSED - JUST BREATHE Clarifyi
VERSED - JUST BREATHE Clarifying Serum Currently rated 3-stars but may change. This Clarifying Serum contains great ingredients: willow bark extract, zinc blend, and niacinamide which all work together to calm inflammation, decongest pores and soothe redness. I have been using this for a few weeks and have seen no improvements with my acne and pores. Despite that, I cannot say it has not been an enjoyable experience. This product is unscented, absorbs quickly, leaves my skin smooth, and seems to *very minimally* soothe redness. It’s a nice addition to my routine but I may be able to live without it.

Face Rash Chronicles
Face Rash Chronicles
It’s like my face is getting worst. I’m so worried that this is going to be permanent and leave some scarring... my skin isn’t smooth any more more, I’m breaking out like crazy... 😔 and I have a wedding to go to on Sunday... I’m a tad bit disappointed in myself.. some people may think that I’m being dramatic but I’ve worked really hard to get clear skin. I’ve done a lot of diy stuff, mask, etc and I actually found products that work for my skin... I was getting facials because 1. It’s relaxing. 2. Dark spot. I get hairs that grow on my chin and side of my face and I tweeze sometimes picking at my skin to get the hair.... 😩😩😩 now I still have dark spots and itchy skin and break outs, redness etc. My esthetician gave me some script script samples to use. I don’t know if I was paying attention properly but I feel as soon as I put it on my skin looked liked it got worst. It also kind of stung. Minus the stinging it could all just be in my head. Hopefully this will work.!
