Second love affair..
The classic Mac, lip liner/pencil. Believe it or not, I've been using Mac's lip liners since the end of highschool! I'm talking 15,17, 18 years! What I do, as a hardcore makeup lover, a smart shopper & to always have what I need, on hand. Buy classic colors. So, one red. One plum. One on the nose side or pink. Most of my lipsticks are either red or plum. All different shades, but one mac plum lip liner, or red etc (at least for me) match every other plum lipstick. So stuck with one main lip liner shade in each category, matching what you wear. I have one red 1 plum/wine and 1 in the softer side I'd consider nudes. And whether I'm wearing covergirl lipstick, or NYX.. I never need to spend even more money to buy yet another lip liner. I've had this problem with other lip liner brands. But at least for myself, I find ma's liner pretty amazing in the fact that they match almost 100% of my lipstick shades. As long as I have one per category of main color. I dont bother buying any pink, as I dont wear pink, I wont and wont waste money.MAC - MAC Lip Pencil
INTERVIEW MAKEUP + TIPS TO GETTING THE JOB💼✨
HOW I DID MY MAKEUP FOR INTERVIEWS + TIPS TO GETTING THE JOB I have been on the search for a new job for sometime now. I am a fairly recent graduate with little experience and plus being in a global pandemic it has been challenging to find the right fit. Throughout my research on how to look presentable during interviews, here are some tips I gathered that helped me get multiple job offers. Less is more: •Makeup: Now I am not a fan of this saying because I love being extra with contour, and big lashes, etc. but when you are doing makeup for an interview less is more. The interviewer’s main focus is going to be listening to what you can bring to their company. If they are distracted by glittery eyes or a bright pink lip they might not be fully listening to what you have to offer. I would recommend to stick to a more “conservative” look with a clean makeup base, minimal eye makeup and possibly a lip color that you feel comfortable in. •Hair: When choosing the right hairstyle for an interview, you still want to keep in mind that your face will be the main focus. With that being said, you do not want to take away from what you are saying by any hair distractions. It would be best to keep your hair pulled back and out of the way so it does not cause any interferences. (Especially if you play with your hair, that could be a big distraction away from what you are saying.) If wearing your hair down or a bright lip color makes you feel confident then I would go for it. Ultimately you want to be comfortable with how you look so that confidence can transfer over well into your interview Dress the part: Companies want to see if you are a good fit by imagining yourself in the role. When you dress the part you are saving them this step. If they can see you professionally as one of their own, it will be easier for them to determine if you are a good fit. I would recommend sticking to basic/neutral colors and solid pieces. Blazers are always a good choice when it comes to layering and they make me feel more professional and confident going into an interview. Again, like mentioned before, wear what you feel most comfortable in. Check your background: This tip has nothing to do with your actual physical image but I still think it’s important to mention now that a lot of interviews are being conducted over video-call platforms. I recommend choosing a background with MINIMAL clutter and possibly adding greenery into the scene. If none of this is possible, opt for a neutral-solid color background. You can even hang up an ironed white sheet if necessary. Also, make sure there will be minimal noise distractions wherever you are interviewing. If you live with others, make sure you let them know that you will be interviewing so no distractions can occur. SMILE & relax: Unless you are applying to a job where you do not need to be friendly… SMILE. It looks good to see that you are friendly and confident in the way you carry yourself. Also, it is important to relax and don't let the nerves get the best of you. • Psych tips: ◦Even if you mess up, if you are still smiling you can trick the interviewer into thinking you still have yourself composed. ◦The feeling of excitement and fear are SO closely related that you can turn one of those feelings into the other. When I get very anxious I like to tell myself I’m actually excited and it will help calm my nerves. Makeup used: •foundation:Too Faced - Born This Way Natural Finish Foundation •contour:MARC JACOBS BEAUTY - O!Mega Bronzer Coconut Perfect •blush: bareMinerals - bareMinerals Loose Powder BlushI like this blush because it has a little bit of shimmer in it and acts as a highlighter as well •mascara:Too Faced - Better Than Sex Mascara •false lashes: (custom) •lips: MAC - MAC Lip Pencil in ‘subculture' I hope these tips were helpful and good luck if you are in the interviewing process!
Drugstore Lip Gloss that Blew me Away...
When I first heard about NYX - Butter Gloss I thought it was probably too good to be true. A good, non-sticky lipgloss with a bunch of colors and affordable? No way. But, I tried them out and was so pleasantly surprised. These perform well (last about 2 hours), the color selection is pretty decent (mostly nudes/pinks, but that’s what I always wear anyway), but most importantly, they are not at all sticky! The price of these depends on where you shop for them, but they’re usually around $3-4. I think this is well worth it for the price and I have recommended these to many. I even give them to clients when I do makeup so they can leave with the shade I put on them. These are an all around win and I give them 4/5 stars.
Kylie Jenner High Gloss: Is it worth it?
I really loved this at first because it was my first gloss, but upon buying better and way cheaper ones, it’s kinda mediocre. It’s a hair trap and it only stays on for a good 45 minutes without needing to reapply. Not to mention the small amount of product in the bottle for 16 dollars. Buxom Plumpline Lip Liner
💞What are the claims? It’s an all in one plumping lip liner that has a built in brush to define, countour & full lips. It has 15 shades & is For all skin types. 💞Texture/consistency? It’s a whipped, cream texture. 💞My thoughts? I love this lip liner! It’s super minty but doesn’t burn while it plumps. It’s pigment is there, and it lasts for hours. It’s a big & thick pencil, much larger than my other lip liners & it has lasted me forever! It’s totally worth it & I would defiantly recommend ! My favorite is in the shade stealth. 💞price vs size ?.07 for $18, it’s worth it! BUXOM - Plumpline Lip Liner

Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Liquified Lipsticks
I have the shades Cava & Daikon and they are both such gorgeous pinks. The texture is smooth and creamy and they wear really well. They are not true liquid lipsticks in the sense that they don’t last nearly as long; to me they are quite literally a regular lipstick liquified! I believe Bite has reformulated all of their products to be vegan now, which makes them even cooler! Definitely check these out.

“My Lips But 𝘉𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳”
@Colourpop’s Ultra Blotted Lip is my secret weapon. I like to call it the “My Lips But 𝘉𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳” lipstick. It’s a soft, diffused, just-blotted look. It’s surprisingly long lasting and extremely comfy. There honestly is not a wrong way to go with these, they’re even build able. My favorite way to use them is to create a diffused look by swiping once across my lips and a few times closer to the middle. COLOURPOP - Ultra Matte Lip Pictured shades are Zuma and Doozey.

Take a BITE out of my heart (lip crayon)
Wow! Y’all, I am obsessed with these creamy matte lip crayons! 😻 First of all, I only recently started lining my lips before lipstick and what a game changer! But I’ve been in search of my kind of nude and dark browns in “clean beauty” for a while now, for daily wear, and since BITE had an online sale, I decided to throw in red 💄 because that’s like my fave colour. In this photo, I am wearing Champagne as lip liner & Red Velvet in the middle, followed by a random drugstore gloss. (The nudish colour I purchased is Hard Cider) The overall experience is pleasant, it’s creamy and smells/tastes good, not overpowering. A bonus is that each pencil has a sharpener at one end, so you may get that precision as you please 💋 BITE - Power Move Creamy Matte Lip Crayon
