The Truth: $500 Dyson Straightener Is NOT Magical❌❌

About my hair: I have natural curly+ coarse hair If you know about coarse hair, it takes so much time for hair care. I have to straighten and style it twice a year. My stylist also struggled with my hair. I dyed my hair a couple of times last year. That was damaging to my hair. My hair became so frizzy after taking a shower. Normal hair straighteners aren't enough for my hair.  I have heard that Dyson had a new hair straightener. The new dyson - Corrale Hair Straightener
costs $500. Because for $500, I’d expect my hair straightener to save me a lot of time, make my life a lot easier and deliver results no other straightener can. This straightener uses 'microhinged plate technology', which means it has flexing plates that gather and hold your hair as you straighten it to make sure every strand is straightened with even heat and tension. They can straighten a section of hair perfectly in just one go. This is because the plates keep the hair together - regular straighteners splay hair outwards, forcing you to go over a section multiple times. In other words, less straightening = faster styling time with less hair damage. It took me less than 20 minutes to straighten my whole head. For my hair type, it delivered on the promise of only having to run the straightener over each smallish section of hair once for straight, sleek results. I noticed my hair didn't feel as hot immediately after straightening each section - I've had times when my hair is too hot to touch after using other straighteners. I didn't see any steam or visible heat while straightening, either. The cord-free handset is easy to handle when you’re straightening the back of your hair, or manoeuvring waves and curls. The finish of my hair was really bloody straight, soft, silky and frizz-free after use. When I straightened one half of my head with the Dyson and the other with another straightener, I could see the Dyson side wasn't as flat or 'dead straight' as the other. There's no denying the Dyson Corrale is a very fancy hair straightener. It's also very good.  I love how quickly you can get through straightening your hair and the glossy, straight results look brilliant, but for the average person, the price tag is unattainable. And I’m just as happy with my current, more affordable straightener.

Be honest: Do I fully need the Dyson straightener?!
In today’s not-at-all-surprising news: Heat styling can cause insane damage to your hair. Wow! The shock! Yeah, I know we all know this, but even though I’m fully aware that I’m hurting my waves each time I run a straightener over them, I’m not about to give up the habit, you know? That being said, I’d ideally like not to destroy my hair, which is why I was so intrigued by the dyson - Corrale Hair Straightener—the new cordless flat iron that promises to “reduce damage by 50 percent” and leave you with glossy shine. All for a cool $500.  I’m not made of money. It would take a lot to convince me to spend that much on a flat iron. But I also know that if anyone could do it, it’d probably be Dyson. Aside from the fact that I’ve seen the insanely great results all over my Insta feed for weeks, I also know that Dyson’s claims tend to be backed by A LOT of research. So after wrangling one to try on myself, I put it to the test for a month to see what it would do to my damaged, stressed-out hair. Onward for my ~hot take~ on the Corrale. Dyson already made everyone in the beauty world freak out when it paused on the high-tech vacuums and released the very fancy hair dryer in 2016 and then theairwtap styler a few years later. So no matter what, the Corrale was automatically being released into a cloud of hype. And thus my skepticism. But as I read virtually everything there is to read on the Corrale’s technology for this review, I can honestly say the hype isn’t unearned. Dyson apparently spent seven freakin’ years working on a ton of prototypes to create, seemingly, The Greatest Straightener of All Time—one that allegedly turns coarse hair into butter and dry hair into pure shine, all while minimizing heat damage. Yeah, the last part sounds the most questionable, but this is where the legit technology comes in: Rather than using the classic tourmaline or ceramic plates found in most straighteners, the Corrale uses magnesium copper plates that subtly flex and bend around a section of hair, while also measuring their own heat about 100 times per second. The end result? Better tension and more even heat distribution, leaving you with way less damage. The iron lets you choose between three heat settings (330° F, 365° F and 410° F), so I went with 365° F, since my hair texture is on the coarser side. I usually feel some tugging or snagging when I straighten my hair, but the Dyson glided down each section smoothly, and it somehow didn’t leave my hair feeling scalding hot—just perfectly warm.   I’ve been using the Dyson straightener for weeks, and my hair doesn’t feel any more damaged than it did before, which is good?! But obviously, I can’t exactly compare my previous damage levels with current damage levels. All I can really talk about is the visual difference, and when I straighten with the Dyson, my hair just looks...better. Shinier, softer, and smoother. While the Dyson isn’t cheap, it also isn’t some basic straightener with a puffed-up price tag—it’s pretty futuristic. So for someone who wants glossy hair with less damage (*raises hand*) or just also loves a luxe-AF hairstyling experience (*raises other hand*), I think it’s totally worth saving up for. Or, you know, begging your parents/partner/wealthy BFF for.

High End Straighter? $500 Dyson vs $250GHD
My hair is naturally frizzy, after using this product my natural frizz is gone. I also find using a small amount of hair serum whilst straightening my hair combats all the frizz. I am always on my way looking for a perfect straightener. ghd - Platinum+ Professional Performance Styler These are the two that I have on hand. GHD is my always top one loved one. And the Dyson is my new purchase. Two things I found amazing about this flat iron from GHD are, first of all, the platinum plates.I thought this looks very fancy. And I did some research on it. Basically, platinum plates promise to make your hair shinier as you style it. And they also promise to prevent breakage.I do notice that my hair is shiny when I straighten it and I do feel my hair got less heat damage even I do 2 - 3 times a week. The second thing is, tri-zone technology. According to their website, this technology means that there are three points of heat along the plates to demonstrate consistent temperature throughout the plates. With drugstore straighteners, there are normally just one. One cool thing about this straightener is that it has sleep mode which I love about. It is safe and easy to handle when you are styling. And so many times I left home and suddenly realize that my iron is still on. This feature would turn the styler off after 30 minutes. It is an expensive straightener, after 2 months of use I can say I am extremely satisfied with my purchase. Usability is great, even for my little hands, and compared to my former hair straightener there is simply no comparison.  dyson - Corrale Hair Straightener The Dyson one is about $500. The price is insane. The reason I got it is because it is cordless. I have their dryers and I’ve always been obsessed with Dyson technology. I remembered I was scared of those hot tools when I first learn to style my hair and cannot remember how many times I burnt myself because of those cord. Honestly I am a little disappointed with this one. Technology wise it is cool. The battery is so disappointed. I charge it overnight and it only last for 25 minutes. GHD wins since they are the experts in straighter and it doesnt damage the hair as most straigners do.

SUMMER WAVES I’VE BEEN LOVING FOR PARTIES✨
SUMMER WAVES I’VE BEEN LOVING FOR PARTIES✨
My hair is straight and lays flat on my head so for nights out I love to add some texture to it with waves/curls. A new curling wand I have been loving is the CONAIR - Double Ceramic Triple Barrel Waver It creates effortless waves in as little as 15 minutes. How to: To start, I prep my hair with MOROCCANOIL - Moroccanoil Treatment to add some shine and tame down fly-always, and CHI - 44 Iron Guard Thermal Protection Spray to protect from heat damage. Next, I work in 1-2 inch sections starting from the back to the front until all the hair is complete. As you can see, I start from the top of the hair piece and work my way down the hair. I hold the wand for about 5 seconds over each section. Lastly, I add drybar - Triple Sec 3-in-1 Finishing Spray Blanc Scent for some extra texture and volume. Have you tried a 3-barrel curling wand yet? I would love to try a wand with larger barrels.

How to get the smoothest and straightest hair
How to get the smoothest and straightest hair
Tips: grap a section! comb out ! section! “C” shape ghd - Silver Moon Gold Styler Set Upbeat Collection A RPO way of actual application is to find the tooth of the comb, place the iron in right behind the fine tooth and move it through with the comb down to the end. Make sure your comb is heat resistant so you don't have to worry about it moving with your iron. By using the comb here is to use the tooth leading the straight hair right into the mouth of the iron. This would give the best result. If you dont comb it out before iron, you are just cook the knots and tangles and bends into your hair. Dont suggest horizontal sections, leave hair flat looking. People want smooth hair when they look for a straightener.if your iron is not giving you a smooth finish with one single pass through the section, then you'll probably need to search for a new one. You dont want spend double or tripple the prices on masques or serums for damaged hair. When you are done with parting into sections, you are ready to iron. Grap a section, comb out your hair before. Hold that portion and go close to the scalp, pull straight down, slowly steady. When you are about to go a little close to the root area. and slide it down and got a nice finish. Make sure you are pulling toward your face and creating“C” shape into your face and run your fingers through it finished and smooth end .Pulling and steady all the way down to the end and get a nice flat finished shinny section. it's easier to comb your hair right away. give the hair a little movement, pull the section in the back to the side,i nstead of being stick straight. Typically I would go with a second pass, but that depend on your hair type and temperature setting.

Quick Messy Waves Tutorial ✨🌊
Quick Messy Waves Tutorial ✨🌊
Sorry this is kinda short. I gave myself a MAJOR headache sitting in front of my ring light! 😬 Tips Mentioned: 1) always use heat protection! BIOSILK - Silk Therapy Original is my personal favorite. I’ve been using it for YEARS. It’s full of hair-loving ingredients that help protect and keep the hair shiny and frizz free! 2) make sure that you’re taking small sections...about 1-2 inches wide but keep it thin! This will allow for more evenly dispersed heat, meaning you won’t need to go over the hair multiple times (pls don’t run your heat tools over your hair multiple times—this is highly damaging). 3) to keep it looking a bit more messy, don’t try to hit every piece of hair. 4) you want to try working with the natural direction of your hair pattern as much as possible. This will keep it looking more organic and less put together (if you’re going for that messy look). ***ill try to be less awkward, in the future! 😅 CHI - Lava Ceramic Hairstyling Iron I absolutely love this flat iron. It’s plates are lava infused, because lava is an excellent conductor of heat. It keeps the heat even as you run the flat iron through your hair, adding more shine and less time making multiple passes.

Guess how did I straighten frizzy hair? Is it worth $500?
Guess how did I straighten frizzy hair? Is it worth $500?
I've heared from my friend that dyson - Corrale Hair Straightener is a perfect hair straightener that quicker styling with half the damage of a standard-plated straightener. And sure, when I heard about it, I was intrigued. However, initially, something didn’t quite sit right with me. My go-to straighteners cost a mighty $100 and have never let me down. I don’t feel like they damage my hair too much, and I don’t really have any gripes (although a cordless option would be amazing). So when I discovered that the Corrale is the first Dyson hair tool to ditch the air technology that I know and love in order to produce a heat-reliant hair straightener that costs an eye-watering $499, I questioned my need for such a thing. But then I tried it in the counter, and I really started to understand what all of the fuss was about. Unlike normal straighteners (although it does curl too, by the way), the Corrale utilises patented flexing, micro-hinged plate technology, which works to shape and gather every strand of hair to prevent them from splaying and pulling. If you struggle with damaged hair, but can’t stop straightening your hair, this flat iron is for you.  It really does make a difference. It styled and smoothed my hair with ease. I have thick and long hair, I usually take 40 minutes to style my hair . With this new straightener it took me 15 minutes ! It left my hair shiny, smooth and lasted all day. So I’m very pleased and I love using is cordless . The thing is, it gives you the results of having it at 410F at 330F. I have extreamly curly hair and it works at 330F! If you’re just going to use it at 410F, I don’t think it’s worth it.. . And the downside is... it is also heavy and annoying to charge, the battery only 30 minutes. Took 1 star off for theb battery and price.

My Secret Weapon!

Lots of my clients only use Bobby pins to hold their style because they’re unsure how to use a hair pin. Since hair pins are straight, often people are afraid that they will fall right out of their hair. If this is a concern, all you have to do is bend one leg and it will catch the hair and stay in place! Give hair pins a try- they are awesome for adding texture or just for a little bit of extra hold!

Definitely worth the money. 10/10 recommend

dyson - Airwrap Styler I absolutely love love love this system. I have little to no coordination when it comes to styling my hair. This system has made curling my hair sooooo much easier. I would recommend this product to people like me. I have a genetic disorder that makes every joint in my body dislocate multiple times a day so the less time i can spend on my hair there better. It is light weight and balanced. With a normal hair dryer I would spend about 20-30 minutes on my hair. With my Dyson I spend about 5 minutes. If I'm curling my hair with an iron I would spend 1-1.5 hours and have multiple burns. With the Dyson it takes me 30 minutes if my hair is dripping wet. It took a while to get used to the length of the base butt once you are used to it, you don't notice it as much. I am also able to dry my 3 year old step daughter's hair in under 5 minutes. It is much quieter than a normal dryer which means I can do my hair without waking up anyone in my house so that is also a major win in my book.
