Rock Your Pattern! 💛

Ladies one of our Curlfriend idols, Tracee Ellis Ross has dropped a hair care line for us girls with all types of curl patterns!! The line is called Pattern Beauty and she just released the Phase 2 launch of the line which has expanded giving us curl friends something worth talking about! I have tried all but one product from the line so this is my honest feed back. Today I will be talking strictly about the Phase 2 portion of the line. This part of her collection consists of a mist, two gels, edge control & styling cream. I think the fact that she has expanded is amazing because I was really waiting for the growth of this brand. Personally only a couple of the products worked on my hair. I liked the shampoo , conditioner, the mist, styling cream and the edge control. So let’s get into those products. *The shampoo has a lot of slip and hydrated my hair the way I like so it’s amazing and the smell is nice. Light but fresh smelling. *The conditioner is my absolute fav! I use the medium one and honestly it does wonders for my curls! Hydrates, conditions, and keeps my hair feeling soft after my wash. Smell is also very light and wonderful. *The hydrating Mist is great also because it gives the hair the moisture it needs to make the comb through process easy and manageable. Smell is similar to the rest of the products. So you’ll love it. *The styling Cream is very nice. It give my hair the soft texture it needs with the hydration boost. Helps to also make my comb through and brushing process easy for me. Smell is light but pleasing. *The edge control is AMAZING, with a capital A! I have tried several edge controls and this one is by far one of my favs! It gets these baby hairs in order and In Line honey and I love it! It’s definitely a must try item! *The Gels( meaning both) were not my favs. I love a good strong hold when it comes to gel and this didn’t do that for me! It also did not keep my fly always down. Not saying it won’t work for you just me personally, it did not. I recommend this whole line because it is worth a try and the message behind the brand and products is very inspiring for Black women and just women in general! I hope my review helps you make a decision! *Disclaimer- these are my own personal opinions and reviews. Each hair pattern is different and products work different for persons hair so I recommend trying all of her products until you find what works best for your hair type! Just have patience and know curls need love and require time. Keep going to you get your desired curls! #cheriepartner #beautywithoutbarriers Until next time beauty queens💕 PATTERN - Hydrating Mist

Ready for Pina Coladas Pineapple Hairstyle 🍍🍹
My hair type is kinky/curly with some frizz. 1 & 2: For this look, I start off by brushing out my hair for a more “straight fro” look. I detangle my hair with a spritz of water (in the green spray bottle I reused from Saje) and some of the GRAYDON - Intimacy Oil This oil is nice and light, containing hemp seed oil, adding a light sheen to the hair without being overbearing in scent nor consistency. 3. Then I bunch up all of my hair into the center top of my head and 4. as I’m tying up my hair, I let a bit of my hair ends hang outside of the scrunchie. I love this hairstyle as my go-to party look because I look fun and classy without having to worry about my hair getting super frizzy and sticking to my face over the course of the night, like when I’m dancing or you know 🤪

How I achieved this glam ponytail!
How I achieved this glam ponytail!
Lawd knows I love me a glam pony! So it was about time to test out #BerrySleek - 3 Type BerryCurl[products]#[FiveStars] in 24 inches. I received 2 bundles of the 24” hair and it was indeed more than enough hair for my little body. step 1 - wash + blow dry hair step 2 - flat iron/press hair step 3 - brush hair into ponytail step 4 - attach one bundle at a time and wrap it around your ponytail. step 5 - lay them baby hairs Now, as you can see I did not do this look myself for obvious reasons. However, I do want to give this hairstylist creds and she goes by the name of “LayingHands” located in Los Angeles, CA. She singlehandedly SAVED MY HAIR. She not only gave me a poppin pony but she was very detailed with my natural hair. She conditioned and trimmed my hair all in one session. I was completely lost at how I was going to style my hair next, but this style lasted about a month and I felt fly every minute of it.

Dealing with curly, thick, dry hair...
Dealing with curly, thick, dry hair...
Hi friends! I have had thick, curly, dry hair for my whole life. Bleaching it definitely added to the dryness and frizziness! Because my hair is so dry, I NEVER use hot tools on it, nor do I ever blow dry. Air drying is key for this hair type—especially if you have a wall of dense, thick hair like me! When air drying, first I’ll let my hair chill after the shower for about an hour (towel drying is NOT a thing with thick hair lmaooo) so my roots are less damp but my ends are still soaked. Then, I’ll take a quarter sized amount of a curl styling cream (today I’m using the Briogeo - Curl Charisma Rice Amino + Avocado Leave–In Defining Cream — it is so good for my curls and inexpensive) and finger comb it through my hair. This prevents tangles and knots from forming. Then, to make sure the product is evenly dispersed i will wet my hands with water and finger comb back through. To keep my hair out of my face while it’s air drying, I’ll usually clip or pin it back with bobby pins. 24 hours later through the humidity my hair is less frizzy than it should be, but the leave in curl cream is still in there so you can refresh your curls by finger combing again with wet hands! This cream lets me have my hair styled like this for the whole week before I wash again! What’s your main tip for thick, frizzy, curly hair?

If you’re looking to get a curly cut...
There are many different cutting techniques out there to choose from 🌻🌻 🌻 Deva Cut is a dry cutting technique meant to frame your face and give volume and shape to curls. Note with this cut, you can’t straighten your hair because it’ll most likely look uneven. 🌻 Rëzo Cut is the cut I have and maintains the same shape all around your head so you can wear curly or straight 🌻 RI CI Cut, created by “the king of curly hair”, Rickey Pennisi. This cut is based on hair density instead of curl type. This cut focuses on each persons problem areas to create custom cuts

Wash N Go routine For the Curls! 🌀
Wash N Go routine For the Curls! 🌀
Hey Guys! For all my curly/Coily friends this ones for you! 🌀Today I’m going to show you my Wash N Go routine. My Wash N Go’s change a lot but I typically use the same products for all my hair style needs! I have 4B Low porosity hair. Low porosity means my hair does not hold water which means every style I do my hair has to be pretty wet or consistently hydrated to lock in moisture. Because of this I usually do my entire wash and go while in the shower but for the purpose of this post this was all done in my room! To see what shampoo and conditioner I use pls check out my other post on Emerges great products! STEPS: 1. Firstly I start off with freshly washed and conditioned hair that’s been detangled. 2. Next I part my hair into 4s 3. I take a section and hydrate it with my water/conditioner mix to make it manageable to style. 4. I then take my AS I AM - Curl Enhancing Smoothie and rake it through roots to end with my fingers. 5. I then take my Evolve Brush and brush that section through to make sure the product is distributed evenly and define my curls. 6. I then take Curls - Control Curl Sculpting Gel and rake it through my hair to create more definition and hold my curls. 7. I then take my oil mixture (Jamaican castor, vitamin E and Avocado oil) and apply to my hands as I start to two strand twist. I repeat this for each section until all sections are twisted. After that I put my head scarf on and wait for it to dry overnight! Once completely dry I take down the twists and fluff it out and WAH LAH Wash N Go 😊 If you guys wanna see more natural hair tutorials let me know below! BESOS 😘

🤔Debunking the Top 6 Myths about Natural Black Hair
🤔Debunking the Top 6 Myths about Natural Black Hair
In the world of beauty, nothing stokes the fires of controversy, much like natural black hair. Everyone appears to have an opinion – even those who know nothing besides the rumors that they've heard. Since time immemorial, natural black hair has often labeled as "weird" or "ethnic." Haircare and maintenance methods used on natural black hair have not helped so much either, possibly because there is a general lack of proper understanding. With that in mind, let's debunk some common myths about black natural hair.
