Trying out Korean skincare! 💫
Trying out Korean skincare! 💫
Lately I’ve been reading so many blogs and watching heaps of YouTube videos on Korean skincare and its safe to say I’m obsessed! Its a whole new world compared to “Western Skincare” - so many other new ingredients and solutions and I became overwhelmed with choices very quickly. 🤯 Thankfully, one of my good friends gave me a few samples to try! The brand “I’m from” is one that I was so eager to try as I’ve read amazing things - so please if anyone else has any recommendations from their line - let me know! 🤩 I'm from - Ginseng Serum Firstly, I am in love with the smell of this serum! It gives off this caramelised honey scent that smells like you could eat it! 😍 Ginseng serum is aimed to increase collagen and regenerate and restore the skins natural barrier. Because I’m an avid retinol user, I often look for serums that are about strengthening the skin. For me I love the initial use of this product. It absorbs really quickly and doesn’t leave a sticky or oily residue. After applying at night, I woke up to no irritation or breakouts and my skim did feel slightly less dry. Since serums do need a few weeks to see a noticeable difference - I’ve had to mark a star down due to not knowing the full effectiveness. But from first impressions I will definitely be purchasing a full size product and hopefully after a few weeks of usage I can give it that last star! 👍🏽 PURITO - Dermide Cica Barrier Sleeping Pack This stuff is serious business! My skin wanders between normal and dry, however when my skin does get dry, I’m always searching for a quick fix skin-drink to get my face back in order. And, here is it! This sleeping leave on mask contains Ceramide, Squalene, and Hyaluronic Acid. It’s super nourishing and moisturising and is a life changer for us dry skin girls! It’s definitely not a daily moisturiser however I would recommend it as an overnight mask 2-3 times a week. 👍🏽 I'm from - Vitamin Tree Water Gel I tried not to let my bias for cream moisturisers cloud my judgement and I really wanted to like this one because of all the amazing reviews, but unfortunately it wasn’t for me! I will say that the product does advertise as best suited for oily skin types which I am not - so I started off not doing myself any favours 😅 I liked that there was no off putting fragrance, however you can definitely smell a silicone vibe. I did feel that nice cooling sensation which I liked and I personally didn’t have any irritation to the product at all, but that’s where my positives stop unfortunately! The product took more than 20 minutes to absorb and even then it wasn’t absorbed completely as I was still left with a sticky residue - I’m unsure how this would sit under make up. 😞 Overall I wouldn’t purchase a full size however for oily skin peeps this may be a completely different outcome ☺️

Overrated - it’s a big NO from me 🙅🏽‍♀️
Overrated - it’s a big NO from me 🙅🏽‍♀️
Everyone’s probably come across this product at some point as majority of the beauty stores list it as a best seller. I don’t suffer from serious or constant acne but at times I will get a big pimple especially after I’ve done a blackhead extraction. I normally use pimple patches with hydrocolloid to help heal my spots quickly and gently, however I wanted to give the MARIO BADESCU - Mario Badescu Drying Lotion a try! Unfortunately my experience was not a glowing positive one. 😞 After I applied it to my pimple, I instantly felt a burn. Not a sting - like an actual burn and I was tempted to just wipe it off. I assume this is from the alcohol in it which personally I think there’s just too much in there that for sensitive skin girls like myself, it’s very irritating. In terms of pimple healing, I honestly think because of the irritation, the healing speed was slowed and the pimple would just be so red and aggressive. Potentially people with more robust and less sensitive skin could tolerate it however I do still think there’s better spot treatment products on the market. This one I feel does a bit more damage then good! 😞 Would love to know your thoughts on this product if you’ve used it 🥰

My little skincare weapon! 🤩

The pmd - Clean Smart Facial Cleansing Device is my favourite cleansing brush and I’ve been using it for nearly two years - it’s hands down amazing! 🤍 There’s a couple of versions of the brush but I just got the basic one as I didn’t need all the bells and whistles. I love using a silicone brush with my cleanser and serums because they help to work the product into the skin more efficiently and reduce product waste. This is what I love about the pmd brush: ❤️ Easy to use - only 4 speeds ❤️ Battery operated but lasts for months before replacement (you can pay more for a rechargeable one) ❤️ More hygienic then using a bristle cleansing brush ❤️ Easy to hold (prefer the stick design than the round ones on the market) ❤️ Can use in the shower ❤️ Easy to clean The only thing I wish the device had: 📌 Self timed function If you’re thinking of investing in a silicone cleansing brush, they really are worth it! The PMD is a great option whilst still being affordable than some of the others on the market. 🥰

Dry Skin Moisturiser Review - ASPECT Phytostat ⭐
Dry Skin Moisturiser Review - ASPECT Phytostat ⭐
I received the aspect SKINCARE - Phytostat Moisturiser as a sample to try out for an everyday moisturiser. I categorise my skin as normal to dry and nearing the “mature” classification as I’ll be in my 30’s next year - so I’m always on the hunt for a good moisturiser. Particularly one that has a rich creamy feel, is super nourishing and can absorb pretty well so that I can easily use it morning (under makeup) and night. ☺️ The aspect SKINCARE - Phytostat Moisturiser has quite a good rep online so I was excited to try it out. It claims to be a luxe emollient cream - being very hydrating whilst fighting signs of ageing. Personally I don’t really care for anti ageing properties in a moisturiser as I use a 1% retinol in my everyday skin routine. What I really want from my moisturiser is hydration and lock in moisture. To the review... The Pro’s: ✔️ The packaging is really smart with the dispenser allowing the product to push out (see second photo) to avoid germ contamination and dry-out ✔️ Very creamy and feels luxe on the skin ✔️Absorbed easily and quickly ✔️ Very hydrating The Con’s: ✖️ The smell! I can’t stand the smell and honestly that’s why it looses a star for me. It smells like a yucky floral sunscreen. It’s really off-putting 💩 ✖️ For the price I feel like there’s better value options out there. I’m not someone who uses my face moisturiser sparingly as I work it into my neck and décolletage and at the price point of nearly $92 AUD for 50g it’s just not bang for buck So overall it’s a good moisturiser and I feel it does live up to its rep of being very hydrating. For me though - it’s the smell that I just can’t get past 🤢 and I have experienced better high priced moisturisers than this - so I’ll be holding onto my pennies and not purchasing a full size unfortunately. ☹️

Beauty Face Oil Dupe!
Beauty Face Oil Dupe!
One of my favourite face oils that I have used religiously every night for quite a while is theMAAEMO - Vitalize Face Elixir . It’s an certified organic oil aimed to hydrate, plump and replenish the skin of the good omegas! A few years back I never used any oils on my skin but since getting into the routine of using one my skin has become more supple and naturally dewy which I personally love! As much as I really like the MAAEMO oil, at $65 AUD it can be a little bit expensive, especially when a bottle lasts me roughly 2 months if used every night. So I’ve been on the hunt for a beauty oil that is less expensive that pretty much gives me the same results and effects of the MAAEMO elixir, and now I’ve found it! At less than half the price for $30 AUD the -ANDALOU NATURALS - CannaCell Beauty Oil is the perfect dupe! I will say that I wish the Andalou oil came with a dropper as the applicator - instead of a pump. I just personally prefer a dropper with serums 😣! I’ve listed below the ingredients in each product and shown which ingredients both products share. As you can see they both are pretty similar with a few differences in the citrus oils used and a couple of other ingredients. But overall, although I do like the better purity of the MAAEMO oil- I think for the price, the Andalou version is definitely better value considering how fast I go through the face oil. Also the MAAEMO oil I could only ever use at night as it takes quite a while to sink into the skin however the Andalou dupe soaks in really quickly to the skin so I could possibly use this in the day as well! Let me know if you’ve tried either two and your thoughts! 🥰 MAAEMO - Vitalize Face Elixir • Cannabis sativa (Hemp) Seed Oil ✅ • Citrus sinensis (Orange) Peel Oil • Citrus nobilis (Mandarin) Oil • Citrus aurantifolia (Lime) Oil • Punica granatum (Pomegranate) Oil • Rosa canina (Rosehip) Oil • Tocopherol ✅ • Helianthus annuus (Sunflower) Oil ✅ ANDALOU NATURALS - CannaCell Beauty Oil • Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil ✅ • Dicaprylyl Carbonate • Cannabis Sativa (Hemp) Seed Oil ✅ • Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate (Vitamin C) • Cannabis Sativa (Hemp) Cell Culture Extract • Resveratrol • Bisabolol • Tocopherol ✅ • Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil • Borago Officinalis (Borage) Seed Oil • Oenothera Biennis (Evening Primrose) Oil • Isosorbide Dicaprylate • Citrus Tangerina (Tangerine) Peel Oil • Citrus Aurantium (Petitgrain) Flower Oil • Anthemis Nobilis (Roman Chamomile) Flower Oil

**NO** White Cast Sunscreen 🧴☀️
**NO** White Cast Sunscreen 🧴☀️
**DISCLAIMER** Product packing and name has changed from photo - the new product is LA ROCHE-POSAY - UVidea XL SPF 50 Melt in Cream SPF50+ PA++++ I am a firm believer that skin ageing prevention is way more attainable then skin ageing treatment/s, and the best way to prevent is to wear a good spf sunscreen every single day! I personally will always opt for the highest spf coverage because the Aussie Sun is intense but also want a sunscreen that’s lightweight and super absorbent. I love this product by La Roche Posay as it delivers all of this and is one of the few sunscreen products that doesn’t leave a white cast under make up! It’s completely undetectable and also free from that sticky sunscreen smell! 🥴 From when I originally purchased, the brand has changed packaging and also increased the size from 30ml to 50ml AND created two product options (one for oily skin and one for dry skin). My skin tends to lean to the dry side so I prefer the extra hydration of the dry skin version. This is honestly such a good buy if you’re looking for the ‘everyday’ wear sunscreen at SPF50+ that’s not heavy, doesn’t leave a white cast and is perfect for sensitive skin! Will repurchase every single time! 🤩

Comparison of three lipstick (LOVE ME LIPSTICK)
Comparison of three lipstick (LOVE ME LIPSTICK)
About myself: • light skin tone • oily skin • original lip color— a little bit dark-purple red I bought it last summer, it’s a perfect product with powerful color, all day moisture, weightless feel and satin-soft finish. About ingredients: A combination of lightweight oils and specialized waxes makes this lipstick feel luxurious, super-silky and barely there. The formula is so pigmented. You just need to get Vivid full-coverage colour payoff in one swipe. After used, your Lip will feel instantly and continuously moisturized throughout the day. Gently wipe before meals and lips are still moist and full after removing makeup. DGAF: Like the chocolate. Bated Breath: Greyish Brown. Coffee&Cigs: Warm pinkey brown I love them all! Especially Coffee&Cigs. I would highly recommend this color for those who like sweet product. My boyfriend praised this lipstick while dating. I would give 5 Cherie Star for its moisturizing and the color MAC - Love Me Lipstick
