My Morning Skincare Routine for Combo Skin

avatar
JadesJourney
Hi 👋 I started my Journey about 6 weeks ago and I’m so glad I did because I only used Olay. I did a review on the Olay range but in a nutshell I used: OLAY - Olay Regenerist Advanced Anti-Ageing Miracle Boost Youth
boosts the renewal of surface cells and provides twice the anti-ageing benefits for skin. It has Niacinamide to boost surface cell metabolism and renewal, reducing wrinkles. Amino Peptides help repair skin, reduce wrinkles and firm skin. Lys’lastine, a Dill extract enhances skin elasticity. OliveM, contains an array of anti-ageing ingredients and helps protect skin from oxidative damage. OLAY - Regenerist Micro Sculpting Cream
has highly concentrated Amino-peptide complex and actives that help renew skin’s surface cells. Olive-oil extract that aids faster ingredient penetration into the skin. Hydra-firming Complex helps retain skin’s youthful look. OLAY - Eyes Eye Lifting Serum
Pro-Retinol, helps increase the rate of surface cell turnover to smooth the look of wrinkles. With hydrating properties, it Is meant to help fortify skin’s natural moisture barrier allowing your skin to better retain moisture. I cleansed with sukin - Gel Cleanser Sensitive
a gel for combination, oily skin types who have sensitive skin, it provides a gentle, non-drying cleanse designed to help remove impurities and excess oils. A blend of Green Tea, Cucumber, and Avocado Oil to gently clean, refresh and purify skin. Now my Morning Routine 😁 Cleansing with L'ORÉAL - Pure Clay Cleanser Detox & Brighten
it’s great for pores and my skin looks brighter. I haven’t found it harsh or drying. DICKINSON'S - Witch Hazel Liquid
I use three times a week because it has great antioxidants and antibacterial properties. It’s also great for tightening skin. For me, it’s a little drying which is why I alternate between toners. All natural witch hazel and contains Natural Grain Alcohol 14%, different from synthetic chemical alcohols, it aids in retaining moisture. My Go To day Serum is TruSkin - Vitamin C Serum
Designed to target the most common signs of aging including brightness, firmness, fine lines, wrinkles, dark spots and sun spots. The plant-based, cruelty-free formula also contains active botanicals, aloe vera and organic jojoba oil for nourishing and soothing skin. My Moisturiser and Eye Cream is currently Auquest 5 second Wrinkle Remover Cream. I did a review and was a little awed by this product. It’s now my new day cream. 😄 Lastly sunscreen, I use Banana Boat 🚤 SPF 50 because I live in Australia and don’t wear make up on the daily. It’s a special occasion thing for me. 😉 Our sun 🌞 is hot down here. Its currently Spring and getting 🥵 if you can recommend a SPF 50 drop me a comment below👇🏽 Jade 😃

Olay Regenerist My Drugstore Brand for 10 years!
Wanted to highlight Olay as my Favourite Drugstore Brand 😃 I’ve used different Olay products since I was a kid, my Mother used Oil of Olay so it’s been a sentimental skincare choice not focussed on my issues. 🙃 I have combination skin. I also have to acknowledge that I didn’t cleanse regularly until this year. I feel for my poor skin but it’s improving 🤦🏽‍♀️ What I can say is: 🧚‍♀️ I’ve always used the OLAY - Olay Regenerist Advanced Anti-Ageing Miracle Boost Youth and OLAY - Regenerist Micro Sculpting Cream together as they give better results than using separately 🧚‍♀️ I use OLAY - Eyes Eye Lifting Serum as my preferred eye treatment when using Olay because I’ve read all Olay’s products work better together 😄 I have good days and bad with my eyes, bags, dark circles etc... I know it’s because I’m a late sleeper and early riser 🌞 🧚‍♀️ The essence is a light solution and absorbs quickly although the cream is heavy, I like a heavy cream but some peeps may not. I stopped using Olay when I started with Cherie as I wanted to try other brands recommended by creators, it’s always fun to try new things. 😁 I feel it’s a great range as when I did my first Cherie Report my skin had issues but I feel it was due to not having a proper routine not because of my products. Let me know if you have a sentimental product in your skincare drawer. Leave me a comment below 👇🏽 Jade

Snail Mucus Extract Eye Cream!
Hi Everyone Another Wish product review I hope you enjoy. Images Snail Extract Eye Cream: $4.76 AUD including shipping (delivered in 6 weeks) Image says it removes dark circles, reduces puffiness and is an anti-wrinkle treatment. It contains snail secretion filtrate and hyaluronic acid. I’ve been using the eye cream since it arrived in June although not every day. I usually use OLAY - Eyes Eye Lifting Serum I made a concerted effort to use it over the past 3 weeks and my Cherie Report confirmed, No dark circles! I’ve had a few late nights this week and it’s still holding up. 😁 Thanks to Cherie’s confirmation, I love this product for dark circles. I’ll keep using it and see if it improves my wrinkles 🤞🏽 Jade

Review My Skincare Routines
Happy Self-Care Sunday! 😁 I’ve been thinking about how different my skincare routines are since starting my journey on Cherie 🍒. Well that I have two routines is a major change although I alternate routines. I have combination skin and read it’s beneficial to do a morning and night routine. I’m working my way up to two routines because I use a lot of active ingredients. 🤨 I’d really appreciate any advice about my current routine to help refine my pores. My morning routine is all about protection from the sun and pollution, I leave peels and products like retinol, for the evening. New Cleanser FORMULA 10.0.6 - Rise of the Foam Blemish Busting Cleanser I wanted a foam cleanser for my morning routine and this is really lightweight. 😃It has hemp seed oil, which attracts and lifts away excess oil, while salicylic acid naturally boosts exfoliation and keeps pores clean. I have larger than average pores. 😞 New Toner: acwell - Licorice pH Balancing Cleansing Toner I did a post yesterday, 😉 it doesn’t dry out skin, no irritation and great for blemishes. It’s for sensitive skin but I like to use it for my combination skin too. 😉 It’s active ingredients are peony root, licorice root and green tea. My go to Vitamin C is TruSkin - Vitamin C Serum It’s 75% organic, as a plant based formula it naturally ranges in colour from almost clear to somewhat cloudy. It’s helped with dullness and dark spots. Vitamin C is an active ingredient. I’m trialling Auquest 5 second Anti-wrinkle Cream, I think this is week 2. 🧐 I’m also trialling Medi-Peel a Korean brand as my neck cream. I’ll do an update post in the near future. 😊 My Evening Routine: L'ORÉAL - Pure Clay Cleanser Detox & Brighten I love this product. It has 3 types of clay and charcoal. This was my day cleanser until the FORMULA 10.0.6 - Rise of the Foam Blemish Busting Cleanser arrived. I exfoliate and steam once a week. With combination skin, this ensures I don’t iriitate my skin. Steaming promotes circulation and my gel exfoliators from China. I don’t know the name but the results are amazing. I’ve reviewed this product previously. Check it out! I do three masks a week, two hydration and one clay although I found using the L'ORÉAL - Pure Clay Cleanser Detox & Brighten I focus more on hydration. My favourite serums are Lanbena. I alternate between, Six Peptides with 24k, Hyaluronic with Snail Secretion and Hyaluronic (all active). I purchasedThe Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5and will add this to my routine in a few weeks. I guess that’s why I’m on Cherie 🍒 because I love changing out products and trialling something new. I use a herbal retinol moisturiser at night 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 I’ve repurchased four times since originally buying on Wish. I’d appreciate any advice about products to improve my pores. Thanks in advance! 👏🏽 Jade 😁

I use a Bubble Mask to Cleanse. Formula 10.0.6
If you’ve never heard of this fabulous brand, Formula 10.0.6, their products are sold at all Priceline stores across Australia, with the most affordable prices you’ll ever see for great skincare. I paid $12.99 for two products from Target and they gave me an essentials pack too! I didn’t order the essentials so bonus. I got the; FORMULA 10.0.6 - Total Take Away Skin-Purifying Clay + Tea Bubble Mask $2.99 FORMULA 10.0.6 - Rise of the Foam Blemish Busting Cleanser$10 My thoughts are about the FORMULA 10.0.6 - Total Take Away Skin-Purifying Clay + Tea Bubble Mask I love bubble masks 🎭 I fell in love with this Mask because it can be used in place of your daily cleanser. You apply and allow mask to bubble for 2 - 5 minutes. Sheet masks tend to take 15 - 20 minutes. Massage in with fingers and rinse thoroughly with warm water. I use it in the shower 🚿 . 🧚‍♀️ It starts to bubble after 30 seconds and tingled my skin the first time I used it, I have combination skin. This is a refill 😀 🧚‍♀️ It dissipates after a couple of minutes but you can feel the bubbles or oxidisation. 🧚‍♀️ My skin feels so clean after using it and it’s looking smooth and plumper. I’m loving cleansers right now, which is why I purchased the FORMULA 10.0.6 - Rise of the Foam Blemish Busting CleanserI plan to use this in my day routine 😃 in place of L'ORÉAL - Pure Clay Cleanser Detox & Brighten I’ll start using my L’Oréal at night. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 Let me know if you have any questions by commenting below 👇🏽 Jade

My current skin routine
I have been using the extra time to better maintain my skincare and here is my current routine. I have oily skin that is easily prone to acne, like wear makeup and later that day there’s a pimple somewhere on my face. (Usually my chin). I am on a budget so if anyone can recommend dupes for these I would be more than willing to try it! 🌞 Morning Routine 🌞 boscia - Clear Complexion Cleanser I really like this cuz it doesn’t strip my natural oils but I still feel like it got all the grossness off my face. My skin usually looks fresh without feeling stiff or dried out. GLOW RECIPE - Watermelon Glow PHA+BHA Pore-Tight Toner I have huge pores and this stuff is just amazing to me. I have noticed that my pores do look smaller and I love the fresh smell of watermelon as opposed to the candy based smell often found. I recommend it to anyone who has oily skin but doesn’t want their skin to feel stripped Fourth Ray - Matcha Face Milk I recently added this to help my skin clear our more since matcha is supposed to be good for acne skin. I honestly am not sure if it’s done much for my skin yet cuz I’m still testing but no bad reactions so far! BIOSSANCE - BIOSSANCE Squalane + Peptide Eye Gel I have dark circles naturally and this helps lighten those circles! I literally see a difference when I am putting it on and I love it! I will probably buy again unless I can find something similar for cheaper fresh - Lotus Youth Preserve Moisturizer I needed a lighter moisturizer for my day routine because anything to heavy is just bad for my skin and so far I love how light this is and my skin feels amazing without feeling greasy. Just wish it was cheaper! 🌛Nighttime Routine *🌜 *This is very similar to my day routine but some differences so I won’t go into detail of the products I already mentioned fresh - Sugar Strawberry Exfoliating Face Wash I recently have been trying this and don’t think I will end up buying again. It feels gentle but it doesn’t feel like it works well with my skin. I like to exfoliate 1-3 times a week depending how much my skin suffered that week but My skin didn’t feel cleaned just dry. I don’t think I’ll buy this again. I will just wash my face with my regular cleanser when I’m not exfoliating. Fourth Ray - Reveal 10% Alpha Hydroxy Acid Serum I bought at the same time as the matcha and with this I can see a difference for my skin. I tested it by putting it in my T zone because it’s the worse part and I saw my whiteheads on my chin drop significantly OLAY - Regenerist Micro Sculpting Cream this is a heavier cream so I save for night use. I was using it during the day and hated how greasy it made me feel all day so I changed it to night and now it fits for my skin routine but I want to find something better to replace it when I am out.

Active 🆚 Inactive Ingredients Explained
I’ve always wondered what active ingredients were. I’d assumed they were completely synthetic 🧬. Well because of my Cherie journey, I’m starting to get an idea 💡 Active ingredients are the ingredients contained in products that work to address a particular skin concern. 👍 The ingredients have supposedly been scientifically proven to actually have the desired effect. So, active skincare means that the hero ingredients actually penetrate the surface layers to treat the deeper cells, which is how you see results. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 Self.com lists the most common types of topical actives you'll come across for specific skin issues: Signs of aging: SPF-boosting ingredients like zinc oxide, titanium dioxide, avobenzone, oxybenzone, vitamin A/retinoids, vitamin C 👏🏽👏🏽 👏🏽 Dryness: hyaluronic acid, vitamin E. Pigmentation issues: kojic acid, AHAs, BHA, hydroquinone, vitamin C Acne: vitamin A/retinoids, salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide, azelaic acid Rosacea: various antibiotics, azelaic acid, sulfur Psoriasis: steroids, vitamin A/retinoids, vitamin D, salicylic acid, urea, lactic acid, anthralin, tacrolimus, pimecrolimus Eczema: steroids, tacrolimus, pimecrolimus What many people don’t realise is that some of the skincare products they buy are full of filler ingredients or ‘inactive ingredients’. Inactive” ingredients aren't really inactive per se, they provide support for the active ingredient or lend benefits like hydration. Paulas Choice says, “In most cases, ingredients are listed in descending order of concentration—in other words, the ingredients present in the highest concentrations top the list, and so on”. I have loads of products with active ingredients but some examples i could tag include: TruSkin - Vitamin C Serum The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 Neutrogena - Oil-Free Acne Wash Daily Scrub The Ordinary - 100% Plant-Derived Hemi-Squalane I use this as a hair treatment because oil based products aren’t great for my combination skin. Hope you’ve had a great day and hit me up by commenting below if you have any questions 😁 Jade

Acwells Licorice pH Balancing Cleansing Toner
I recently purchased acwell - Licorice pH Balancing Cleansing Toner for sensitive skin although I have combination skin. It came down to three reasons: It was all over the internet and I hadn’t used a toner since my teens. In the 80’s they were known to be abrasive but touted as a must have for skincare. Well not my routine 😂😂😂 Licorice helps regenerate elastin and collagen for skin. It contains amino acids, which are known to help moisturise and hydrate skin. Although it lightens skin the active compound is Glabridin. Glabridin’s a natural, gentle skin lightening agent, that acts to block the action of the skin-darkening enzyme, tyrosinase. Blocks not remove, so a winner for me because I have olive skin. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 This is not licorice, like the candy. Instead, it’s from Licorice Root. acwell - Licorice pH Balancing Cleansing Toner is packed with moisturising ingredients and uses Rheum Palmatum Root Extract (Rhubarb), Psidium Guajava Leaf Extract (Guava), and Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract for their astringent properties. My thoughts 💭 🧚‍♀️ I tend to use toner sporadically because I use DICKINSON'S - Witch Hazel Liquid which can be drying. I’ve used acwell - Licorice pH Balancing Cleansing Toner daily since it arrived and no irritation. 🙌🏽 🧚‍♀️ It has a herbal scent and light watery base when pouring but it has a sticky/tacky texture when applying. Not unpleasant ☺️ 🧚‍♀️It doesn’t irritate #noalcohol 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 🧚‍♀️ I only use it on blemishes not my entire face and my blemishes have cleared up. I have no issues with acne 🧏🏽‍♀️ but I like to use products for acne prone skin. I like to think prevention before cure 🤷🏽‍♀️ I’m sold on acwell - Licorice pH Balancing Cleansing Toner 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 Have a great weekend! Jade 😃

Beauty Hack for Vitamin C Boost
It’s thoughtful Tuesday so I wanted to share a thoughtful tip 😊 I’ve recently purchased my first toner in years Acwell Licorice ph Balancing Cleansing Toner from Stylevana on 11 September. It hasn’t arrived as they were out of stock on another item and didn’t send my package 🤷🏽‍♀️ I emailed them today to dispatch the other items 🙃 sorry a bit of a moan. Anyway I made a Vitamin C toner courtesy of @viral_fact_s on Instagram 😄 Toner Recipe: Orange 🍊 Mint 🥬 Lemon Essential Oil 🍋 Water 💦 🧚‍♀️ Add Orange peels 🍊 and Mint 🥬 to boiling water and let sit for two hours 🧚‍♀️ Strain the water, add a few drops of Lemon Essential Oil and stir 🧚‍♀️ Store in a spray bottle and enjoy 😉 Oranges and lemons are packed with Vitamin C, an antioxidant that protects skin cells from free radicals caused by UV exposure. Mint has strong anti-bacterial properties and contains salicylic acid - both prevent acne. Lemon has high ph levels, can decrease oil on skin and reduce inflammation. I’ve been using DICKINSON'S - Witch Hazel Liquid an all natural toner, I picked up at my Drug Store for $7 AUD but it can be drying so I alternate between Dickson’s and @viral_fact_s home made recipe. The ingredients in DICKINSON'S - Witch Hazel Liquid : 100% distilled Witch Hazel, 14% Alcohol 🍷 double distilled for purity. Hope your having a great day and let me know if this was useful by 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 or leaving me a comment below 👇🏽 Jade

YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superfood Antioxidant Cleanser great for all skin types as it cleans without stripping. CAUDALIE - Grape Water great refreshing water filled with a great antioxidant, resveratrol which is anti-aging as well. Perfect before makeup, after makeup, during the day or as a refresher💁🏼‍♀️ THAYERS - Cucumber Facial Mist mine doesn’t have a mister, but this product is awesome and does not irritate at all. I even use it on my eyes and there’s zero stinging. Leaves your skin prepared for your other skin caring steps. Goos to use as a cleanser before makeup when your feeling lazy 😅 FARMACY - Very Cherry Bright 15% Clean Vitamin C Serum with Acerola Cherry Good serum, not bothersome, could be a bit tingly when you start using it if you’re sensitive. Skin looks brighter but it’s definitely a slower worker than other vitamin C’s. I would say the serumy consistency and other soothing ingredients make it a recommendation from me to my sensitive skin peers out there. (MALIN+GOETZ) - Revitalizing eye gel Definitely a gel but it’s almost a cream gel hybrid. My undereyes are really dry and this product really hydrates them and serves as an undereye primer as well without feeling like a grease ball. Definitely recommend if you’re undereyes are dry and need some hydration (*not moisturizing just hydration*) Curél - Moisture Facial Milk Great day time moisturizer especially for summer time and for those who have dry/normal to oily skin. Not those it only protect your skin barrier with it’s ceramide filled formula but it softens and hydrates, keeping skin smooth and supple. Tip: if you want more hydration or glow just add some drops of any oil you have or mix it with another moisturizer that might be to heavy on it’s own and voila, you got yourself a summer time moisturizer ✨👌🏻 L'ORÉAL - Pure-clay Cleansing Mask for Dull Skin definitely brightens and pulls gunk out from the skin, the only downside would be that it is pretty drying but when you’re skin feels really congested and gross I definitely recommend this. Tip: use as spot treatment to suck out the inflammation and gunk from the pimples. Hope as always that you found my reviews useful and my video informative any questions feel free to always ask🧡 Ps. I used Good Molecules Niacinamide before applying the Vit C. Sorry it wasn’t recording😫

My routine for coming spring❤️
My routine for coming spring❤️
My skin is dry in autumn and winter, and mixed in summer. The main skin concerns are acne marks and scars. So every time I do the skin care, the most concerned is how to do well in moisturizing and how to fade acne marks. My routine usually first use cleansing cream, then toner and cream, the last essence. Following I will share my personal routine. It has been spring recently, so the skin is not so dry as the winter, so I changed my cleansing foam to the Estee lauder. The name is super-pomegranate radiant energy cleansing foam. This kind of facial cleanser is very durable, and can cover the whole face with a little squeeze at a time. Its bubble is very rich, I use it with Luna face cleanser. After foaming, gently massage the whole face with the cleanser. Then wash the water with clean water. Your skin will feel fine and smooth, even brightening up. ESTĒE LAUDER - Nutritious Super-Pomegranate Radiant Energy 2-in-1 Cleansing Foam But it should be noted that this product is especially suitable for people with oily skin. For dry skin, it is best to use it only in spring and summer. Because of its powerful cleaning effect, if it is used in the case of particularly dry skin, it may cause skin sensitivity and redness. The next step is to use SK-II facial treatment essence. I'm a big fan of this essence. I've been using it in all seasons. Although it is essence, I have always used it as lotions. After cleansing the face, pour out a little on the cotton pad, pat the skin gently, it is very easy to be absorbed by skin. It can help skin lock moisture, and can add other functional essence. SK-II - Facial Treatment Essence (Pitera Essence) After using SK-II essence, I will use Guerlain abeille royale youth watery oil. This step is the key to my moisturizing. The rich glycerin ingredients in the oil make my skin very moist. Finally, I use La Mer the concentrate to solve the acne mark problem of the skin. Its function is to smooth the redness of the skin and promote the self-healing of the skin. It is more suitable for season change or acne scar removal, there is not much need to use every day. But it does a good job on fade acne marks and scars. Generally, the newly born red acne can be faded after one night's application. GUERLAIN - Bee Glow Youth Moisturizer LA MER - LA MER The Concentrate I usually use this routine all year round. The biggest difference is that I may change the parts of facial cleanser and moisturizer. But for SK-II and La Mer, I will not change. I've been doing this for about three years before making up in the morning and skin care at night.

Morning Routine for GLOWING Skin
Morning Routine for GLOWING Skin
After 3 months, I perfected my routine for: ✨GLOWING SKIN✨ My concerns: mild acne, moderate cystic acne, large pores, redness, uneven skin tone, prevent aging proactiv - MD Essentials System Value Set I’m allergic to benzoyl peroxide, so I had to find alternatives for my acne prone skin. When Proactiv came out with a formula that was benzoyl peroxide free, I jumped on it! On this routine, I have seen huge improvements in my breakouts, pore size, skin tone and texture. Each step in the kit and other: Step 1 Cleanse and Rinse proactiv - Deep Cleansing Face Wash This wash is gentile and leaves my face feeling smooth and soft. It has micro exfoliating beads that remove impurities and help keep skin clear. Step 2 Toner proactiv - Balancing Toner After breaking up with witch hazel, there’s no going back! I love this toner because I don’t feel dry at all like I usually do with toners. Leaves skin feeling clean and refreshed. Step 3 Serum (formerly my spot treatment step) #Apostrophe - Azelaic Acid Formula (Azelaic Acid 15% + Niacinamide 4%)[products]#[FiveStars] Although Proactiv MD cleared up most of my breakouts and reduced pore size, I still struggled with dark spots and jawline cystic acne. I knew I needed something a little stronger that was also compatible when using retinoids (night routine.) Apostrophe’s formula reduced my dark post-acne marks and evened my skin tone and texture. It also has anti-aging properties. No need for spot treatment, it’s designed to be used all over face. Pea size amount recommended. Step 4 Serum timeless SKIN CARE - 20% Vitamin C + E Ferulic Acid Serum BEST dupe for SkinCeuticals CE Ferulic Serum. Brightens skin after just a few weeks and helps with my uneven skin tone. Protects against environmental pollutants. 1-1.5 pumps for entire face. Step 5 Eye Cream proactiv - Eye Brightening Serum Eye creams can be scary, as the skin around the eyes is so sensitive! This eye cream is packed with peptides, vitamins C and E. While I noticed reduced puffiness, I hadn’t noticed an anti-aging difference until my boyfriend pointed out how “smooth it looks” under my eyes 😂 Step 6 Moisturizer/Step 7 SPF proactiv - Daily Oil Control Moisturizer SPF 30 🔑 Hydration is key when treating acne prone skin! I love that this moisturizer is lightweight, non-greasy and soft. Since it already has SPF 30, no need to use a separate sunscreen unless you will have prolonged direct sun exposure. Any skin type can use this gentle product. 1-1.5 pumps is all you need. Dries quickly. Step 8 Face Oil eve hansen - Golden Rosehip Face Oil I don’t use face oil everyday, more like 3-4x per week, when I feel like I need extra hydration. Helps reduce redness and locks in moisture! Has skin regenerative properties. Only 3-5 drops needed.

Seriously! 💢💢💢Clinique Can Do Better Than This!
Hello🌞You must know the importance of cleaning your face. I have combo-oil skin, not sensitive. I have acne-prone skin, and I have some dark spots. So I started building up my tolerance for acid since long-time ago. Today, I want to talk about my fav and meh products!   pixi - Glow Tonic Concentration 🍋🍋🍋 How to Use It: Apply on cotton pads, gently rub the face  It is alcohol-free, which means it is a glycolic acid product that is very good for sensitive skin. It also formulated with witch-hazel and Aesculus to mitigate the irritation. My face does not feel dry after using it. It is good at lock in hydration. So dry skin will really like it. Also, if you don't have any experience using acid, this is a good beginning. I have used half of the bottle. It does not have a strong effect on getting rid of whiteheads, but it can be a good exfoliating product. It is really worth the price. I always repurchase when it is on sale.  SK-II - Facial Treatment Essence (Pitera Essence) Concentration🍋🍋🍋🍋 How to Use It: Apply on cotton pads, gently rub the face It includes Lactic acid, Malic acid, Salicylic acid. It is a combination of those acid, and it is for secondary cleanse. Comparing with Pixi, this one has more exfoliating power. It is better for combo oil and oily skin. If your skin is thinner, I recommend you only use it twice or three times a week. After using it, my face feels a bit dry. So it is good to use with hydrating products. It is quite expensive though. If you don't have enough budget for cleansing product, I won't recommend this one to you.  Cle De Peau Essential Correcting Refiner How to Use It: Apply on cotton pads, gently rub the face  It only has Succinic acid, which makes it different from the previous products. I feel like it has a high alcohol concentration. I can even smell the alcohol after I apply it on my face. But it actually feel good on my face. I feel refreshed after using it. It is a good choice for morning routine. But make sure you are not allergic to alcohol. It is very expensive.  CLINIQUE - Clarifying Lotion 2 For Dry Combination Skin How to Use It: Apply on cotton pads, gently rub the face  It has an obvious smell of alcohol. My face felt burned after using it. I really don't like it. I am using it to wipe my table now. It actually works quite well. BTW I don't like this design. It is so inconvenient to pour it out. The mouth is way too big, to the point I think you can even drink it... Have you used any of these product? How do you like it? 💞

A Cocktail of Retinol And Peptides For A Plump, More Youthful, Acne-Free Skin
A Cocktail of Retinol And Peptides For A Plump, More Youthful, Acne-Free Skin
Retinol is such a star ingredient as it slows down the natural aging process of our skin, it brightens dull skin, it’s amazing in treating acne, and it helps in the treatment of hyperpigmentation. No wonder why we’ve been seeing tons of skincare products being formulated with retinol in them.   Since retinol is fantastic in helping our cells regenerate to maintain that youthful glow, I thought how amazing would that be if it’s paired with other ingredients that also assist in building collagen and elastin. If you’re not aware, collagen and elastin are two protein types that make our skin plump and hydrated. By the time we hit our mid 30s, our bodies start to slow down the process of developing these.   Upon reading through Paula’s Choice website, I learned that peptides aren’t enough if we want to achieve smoother, softer, more even skin texture. So, I paired it with retinol. And as expected, my dry combination skin loves it.   The products I use are Cerave skin renewing retinol serum as it’s really gentle to my sensitive skin, followed by this firming sleeping mask from Laneige, which is rich in peptides. The Laneige sleeping mask is a good moisture-locking product to layer in on top of the retinol serum. Try it for yourself! CeraVe - Skin Renewing Retinol Cream SerumLANEIGE - Time Freeze Sleeping Mask

My Skin Cried Out Loud
My Skin Cried Out Loud
Few years back my skin suffered terribly and I had to go through strong medical phase. I could not go out due to low self esteem. After my full skin healing (with medical exfoliation) I started to take very good care of my skin. Below are my everyday regime and how it has helped me boost my skin as well as confidence. I have combinations skin and some parts get dry when cold. Morning Routine: Dior- Hydra Life Sorbet After washing my face I start off with my favourite sorbet tonique water. I spoke about this product in my last post as well and how i use this morning and night religiously. It is a gentle sorbet toner that hydrates my skin and has no bad reaction at all. DIOR - Hydra Life Deep Hydration Sorbet Water Essence Chanel- Hydra Beauty Crème Following my gentle toner I then thoroughly hydrate my skin with this Chanel Hydra care. I have been using this product since the past year and I love it. I have always had a soft spot for water based creams and this is a dream come true. It soaks so well and creates no stickiness. CHANEL - HYDRA BEAUTY CRÈME Hydration Protection Radiance Night Routine: In the evening after a long tiring day I usually take a hot shower so i can use it as a steam for my face and unclog all pores. I then use the same Dior Sorbet Tonique water. I never use cotton, I always pour a little on my palm and dab it on my face and neck. The Body Shop- Vitamin C After the toner i apply this, Vitamin C night cream for ultimate hydration while my skin rests and rejuvenates. It helps soothe dull and tired skin. I don’t usually use Body Shop products but i have stuck by this one for almost 8months and I am loving it. THE BODY SHOP - Vitamin C Glow Boosting Moisturiser The Ordinary- Moisturiser This one is something I recently purchased as the Ordinary brand has been raging this year. I have just started to use this as a trial and I am already loving it. It is a little thicker in consistency than my regular Chanel but it does not stick and does did not have any bad reaction to my skin yet. The Ordinary - Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA
