“Simplicity is key” is not a cliche
I’m a chemistry graduate weening her way into the personal care sciences to make effective skincare and makeup that has a long lasting effect on the way your skin treats you. I have a deep passion to help people around me understand what the hell is going on with their skin. More often than not, the issue is... we be doin too much. I don’t have problematic skin per say but she is sensitive, picky, and temperamental. For a while I fell down the 10 step skin care routine rabbit hole. I put a toner on my face, a serum, another serum, aloe Vera gel, and two heavy moisturizers. I thought that would make me glowy. Wrong. Instead what happened was my skin started growing bacteria. Fungal acne, my new worst enemy. There was too much going on. I had little spots on my forehead I couldn’t get rid of. So like any other skin care junkie I decided to combat it with even MORE products. When that didn’t work, I thought about how my skin was in high school. A single pimple during my time of the month and that was it. Why wasn’t my skin fussy back then? It’s cuz I didn’t do much back then. I scaled back. I used simple skin care with simple ingredients. I used skin care from the same brand to see if the way they work together benefitted me. Low and behold, my fungal acne was defeated. But then came eczema. As I’ve gotten older, my seasonal allergies have taken over my life. Not only do I have to go out of my way to keep itchy eyes and sneezes at bay, but eczema so graciously decides to find a home under my eyes. Insert eye creams. Insert... two eye creams. Truly a dynamic duo. All the products tagged here are my holy grail items. I’m loyal to them and will die for them. They continually fix my skin when she’s acting up and give her a pat on the back when she’s behaving. I’m back on my cycle of getting one blemish per month and I keep that at bay with DifferinGel & acne patches. Sometimes when we cut back, our skin will thank you. Tips: Don’t wet your face before putting this cleanser on. Weird. I know. But don’t. Let your dry skin drink this in first. Then add water to foam it up after it’s completely rubbed in. Your skin will feel 10 times more moisturized after cleansing this way. Don’t towel dry your face. Let it air dry. Pat the water in. Use a hand fan. A sopping wet face? Yeah. That’s what we want. Letting your face air dry allows your face to drink that water! The Hyaluronic acid serum retains water from the air and the water already on your skin. Youre giving your serum a boost if you let your face air dry. That’s where the moisture will be retained from.

What products should be in your skincare fridge?
Sincare refrigerators are becoming a must have in the beauty community. Many companies like Good Molecules are using the in give aways and companies like E.L.F are using them as PR packing. What exactly is a skincare refrigerator? A skincare refrigerator is a minature refrigerator (just like the one in your kitchen), but has slightly higher temperature. This higher temperature allows for a great way to keep your products active for a longer period of time after opening. Keeping certain prodcuts cool helps to inhibit bacterial and fungal growth once the product has been contaminatined. Although purschasing a skincare refrigerator isn't neccessary, it does add some benefits. What products should you have in your skincare fridge? Some products that you may want to put in your frigde to recieve a cooling effect, especially on hot summer days, are eye creams, sheet masks, facial mists, facial tools (like a jade roller), and gel moisturizers. Although some products can be placed in the refrigerator, others not so much. Products that should not be placed in a refrigerator are clay masks, oil-based products, cream moistures, and serums. It is something you should buy no matter how expensive it is👍 Best Facial Device
Nowadays many girls have a good sense of skin management. Sometimes they may spend a lot of money on skincare, smart facial devices are their buying priority, which is always very expensive. However, there is controversy over these facial tools. Some think they offer good value for money, others say girls are absolutely cheated by so-called high technology. I have my reservations about other expensive skincare tools, but a facial cleanser is really an invaluable tool for me. My sister ever used the FOREO Luna 2 Facial Cleansing FOREO - LUNA 2 for Normal Skinfor one year, now she has wonderful skin. After seeing there was a huge difference in her skin. I saved money and bought the FOREO Luna 3 for sensitive skinFOREO - LUNA 3 for Sensitive Skin, as a gift to celebrate my birthday. In the beginning, I feel painful to spend so much money. Later I console myself that it's an investment, I don’t have to replace pricy brush heads again. So I think that I actually save money in the long run. Ok, back to the point. My skin unfortunately is highly dry. I used to never use brushes because I have very sensitive skin. That's why I chose Luna 3 for sensitive skin. It is super smooth, so gentle and my skin feels softer without any tightness. It has cleaned very well, made my face less dry, brighter, and with less redness in the first use. In addition, even the stubbornly clogged pores on my nose are gradually getting cleaner after a time. Amazing! It also allowed my skin products to get absorbed faster and better into my skin. I find it interesting that after using the Foreo, whether in the morning or in the evening, I need much less of my skincare products than before because the skin is so well prepared. Although it’s a great product, my sincere advice is that facial cleansers can not be used every day, otherwise, the skin will become more sensitive and fragile, twice a week is enough. Hope you can get good results too!

*UPDATED Morning and Night Skincare Routine!
I have switched up my routines a bit! I have very oily skin and I also tend to get acne every now and then. I took yalls suggestions and finally was able to get my hands on the CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin . This cleanser is AMAZING. I already like it so much more than my Cetaphil one. It leaves my face a lot more fresh feeling and can already tell it has helped my oily skin. The next thing I changed was my sunscreen! As y’all know, my Neutrogena one was not my favorite. It was oil-free, but still made my skin feel greasy. Thankfully, Target had just stocked up on the CeraVe - Ultra-Light Moisturizing Lotion SPF 30 For Normal To Oily Skin . This is hands down the best sunscreen I have ever used. It doesn’t even feel like a sunscreen, more of a mattifying primer but still hydrating. It leaves no shine on my face and gives me even more protection from the sun with the SPF 30! The last thing I changed was my eyelash routine. I still love my castor oil but I wanted to try out a product I have been hesitant about purchasing. This product is the GRANDE COSMETICS - GrandeLASH-MD Lash Enhancing Serum . I have used it for the last 3 nights and so far really like it! I did a patch test before to make sure I wasn’t allergic and I haven’t had any issues. It takes about 3 weeks so start seeing results so I will keep y’all updated with that! I bought the travel size so I could test it out but I apply it once everyday at night. I make sure to take my contacts out and not touch my eyes afterwards so it can dry properly. I am so happy with my new routine and I hope this helped anyone! Make sure to check out my more in depth night and morning routine posts on my page if you want to know how I use most of these products!
