Maybe skip The Ordinary 😶
I am a huge fan of the ordinary. A lot of their products worked wonderful for me! this did NOT go well for me. I so wanted this to go well because of everyone raving about it. ☹ the packaging is one thing I'd like to point out that I was really happy to see. The fact that they put this in a dark treated bottle to protect it from extra light shows they really care and want you to get the product at its very best. Definite round of applause there! The product itself i found to be very annoying to work with. It is an oil so of course its going to slip around, thats a given. But everytine I put my moisturizer on top of this, even after letting it rest for a while, I felt my moisturizer start to run down my neck. so I reversed the process & the same thing happened. I also tried just using this but my dry skin did not appreciate that at all. I didnt see any significant changes in my dark marks or texture either.. This product was really a bust for me! The Ordinary - Mandelic Acid 10% + HA I reread thru the product ingredients and what it claims to treat so I was so surprised that it did next to nothing for me. I've included that picture as well!

Clinique almost had me like woah 😳
My mom has used clinique for years. When I started my skincare journey, I wanted to be like mom so I started with CLINIQUE - Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion+ & it has been my holy grail for years. I was so excited when I saw this new line of cartridges came out and I just recently tried them. it makes me happy that the base for the cartridges is something I've been using. starting with the purple, which is for lines and wrinkles. this isnt such a problem for me but I do have two deep set lines between my eyebrows from furrowing so much. I didnt see a difference really after using it for 3 weeks, but maybe due to not using it long? the orange, for fatigue. this has a good smell and my skin felt pretty good using this for a month. however, it did give me more breakouts that I normally wouldn't have. green, for irritation. this actually irritated my skin. my skin felt really hot and flushed. white, for uneven skin tone. this one made my skin look much more dewy and I had a glow. I didnt visually see a significant difference in texture per say, but it felt smoother. blue, for large pores and uneven texture. THIS ONE. hands down the best for me. I have serious hyperpigmentation and texture like crazy. My pores near my nose are ginormous. This made a tremendous difference in hydration, texture, and the suppleness of my skin. Helped soothe my breakouts, and is not the treatment I use every other day that keeps my skin in check. hallelujah, I found a winner. something my sensitive skin doesn't hate 💙

let's talk anxiety 💚
Especially with everything going on in the world right now, its super important to take care of ourselves and make sure we are staying rested. I have a hard time falling asleep, I hate the smell of lavender, and I dont believe in eye creams. BUT, these two products have been game changers for me. this calming mist is made of magic fairy dust or something. The scent of lavender has always made me really nauseous & has never been something pleasant for me. this is different. I dont know if its reacting with my laundry soap on my pillow case or what, but there's such a good earthy aftersmell. Not that one you associate with your grabdmas floral couch, but like, just very mellow and almost like fresh cut grass. weird to explain, but its just an amazing mist! I've tried others but this by far takes the cake! CARDEA AUSET - Calm Mood Mist Eye creams. I dont believe in eye creams all that much. To me they are just overpriced moisturizers that come in teensy packaging. Earth Harbor tested me though. This is a very faintly smelling green velvety goop that makes me all sorts of happy. It's refreshing and it instantly leaves my eyes & in between my brows, because I put it there too lol, so dewy and the small circles I have go incognito. The smell is faint as I mentioned, but It reminds me of when you just cleaned your house & you opened all the windows to let that cool breeze flow through and leaves that really crisp scent. thats the feels it gives. its also natural and ethically sourced. EARTH HARBOR - AQUA AURA Reparative Eye Creme (i rate it 4 stars because I do still stand by my earlier statement on high priced moisturizer.💚)

Things that I wish I had known before diving in!
I am a 36-year-old mom of two. I have been into make up for probably 10 years or so now. But skincare never interested me. When I would have beauty subscription boxes off and on, I would get skin care samples and I would use them, but I just never worried about my skin. I had acne for a short period of time when I was probably 14 and 15 and that’s really it. Other than struggling with a super oily T-zone, I never really had any major skin issues thank goodness. *35th birthday has entered the chat* It was like I woke up with wrinkles, little busted purple veins, and my skin just looks so dull and old. YIKES. Needless to say I decided to do some thing about my skin. I just so happened to discover The Ordinary on Beautylish. They were out of stock on everything so I signed up for an email alert for when everything was restocked. I ended up getting an email saying they were no longer carrying that line but they had their own line Good Molecules that was comparable. I spent about $50 to get a few serums and face oils. I also went on Ulta and spent too much money 😩! So if you are a brand new beginner here are some things that I wish I had known. If you have never started a skin care routine, it is important to start out simple and effective. Use the fewest products necessary to get the maximum results. You do not need 5 serums, 2 cleansers, 3 toners, 6 face masks, 10 treatments, and jade rollers etc. 😂 Stay hydrated and USE A GOOD SPF. While daytime is about preventing damage, “Night is the time to use more powerful anti-aging ingredients to repair your skin. You can keep a very simple AM routine and leave the majority of serums and treatments for nighttime. Throw out the makeup remover wipes. Most have alcohol in them and other super harsh chemicals. While they do technically remove makeup, they do not do a good job cleaning your face and leave a film on your skin. Use micellar water or an oil based or other cleaner instead. Use a moisturizer!! (You think this would be common sense but I avoided it because I thought it would make my face more oily.) Put on a good hydrating moisturizer after you’ve used your serums. Using the right kind of moisturizer for your skin can help maintain its balance. When skin is too dry or too oily, many common skin problems like acne start to pop up. If your skin tends to be oily, you should look for lotions or gels instead of creams, if your skin tends to be dry, look for a cream - they tend to have a higher oil content. AND.....According to the British Journal of Dermatology, people with properly moisturized skin accumulate wrinkles at just a fraction of the rate of those with dry skin!! Hope this helped a bit! I’ll be doing a part 2 ❤️
My biggest hair secret!
I love Navratna Ayurvedic oil! I purchase this at local Indian markets but you can also find it on Amazon. This is a blend of oils that have a cool feeling: Sesame oil, Menthol, Amla, Camphor, Thyme and Rosemary Oil. Rosemary oil is great for boosting circulation and growth. I use this once a week and feel that it has kept my Navratna - Ayurvedic Cool Hair Oil hair healthy, soft and shiny. I also do feel it is the reason my hair grows so long. I use the oil in my scalp and the strands of my hair. I massage my scalp gently for an additional 5-10 minutes after applying. I leave the oil on overnight and then shampoo twice the next day. Stress is one of the main reasons people have hair fall. The menthol and cooling factor in this oil helps to relax me and in turn helps with hair loss. The scent is really strong for some so be mindful, but it doesn’t bother me.

HOW TO GET RID OF OILY HAIR 💡💡💡
I used to hate washing my hair every night before I got in bed, while I have to, due to the greasy hair. If you have thick oily hair too, well, lucky for you, I’m gonna share my experience in fighting my thick oily hair and how I finally keep my hair under control, Look how wonderful my hair is now! Keep going! Before I get started, girls, I just wanna say, oily scalp and hair are pretty common, you don’t have to feel ashamed about it. There are multiple ways and products could help us to get rid of it! If you have oily skin, you would definitely know charcoal masks that can unclog pores, sap up excess sebum that leads to blackheads, and give skin a thoroughly deep cleanse. But if your scalp is overproducing oil, it may surprise you that it has similar needs — the skin on our heads is still skin after all. We might think that only dry, brittle hair is in need of a targeted treatment, but that's not true. I’ve done a lot of research, that tea tree oil, peppermint oil, and lavender essential oils are some of the most amazing ingredients used in hair masks for oily hair that can balance your scalp's natural oils and even relieve dandruff and itching for healthier hair. Perfect base? Yes please!
Many women have a love-hate relationship with the foundation. We love being able to create an appearance of flawless, stain-free skin. But on most occasions, we hate to be noticed that we're wearing it. For this reason, I explain how to correctly apply the foundation. Your foundation will only look like skin, if you maintain beautiful skin, for this is key to a correct beauty routine. Just before applying the foundation, it is important to clean the skin thoroughly to help prevent clogged pores and to remove any dirt that may be making your natural glow difficult. You should then gently exfoliate the skin to remove dead cells that can create uneven or scaly skin. Finally, you should apply a moisturizer, the foundation blends much better into hydrated skin. Here my skin is already prepped. I have moisturizer on and primer Concentrate the foundation in the center of your face where redness and spots tend to be more problematic and visible. Apply a brushstroke to each side of the nose, to the center of the forehead and chin, then fade and extend the base covering outwards. Whether you're wearing a foundation brush, a beauty blender, or fingertips, apply the foundation in a dotted motion with slight taps. Avoid any movement in which you rub the skin because this way, you move the foundation and you can make marks in the form of stripes. We often overlook ears that are also a part of the face. If you're prone to red ones, gently brush the foundation over them so they blend in with the colorful face. Dip a large, fluffy powder brush into a face powder, then touch or shake the brush once, to remove excess product. Gently apply them all over your face, using more in areas where you tend to have more shine, such as the T-zone, chin, or under the eyes, only if necessary. If there are areas where the foundation just wasn't enough, such as dark circles, red dots or pimples, apply concealer to them, then mix it with your skin and foundation. After a few more things added to my makeup, you can accomplish a perfect look with a glorious looking base. My favorite foundation is the Morphe one, called fluidity foundation. It has a satin-matte finish which i love because it’s not all the way matte. Which sometimes can make the skin look very dry. I have dry skin. And also a very red complexion. This foundation covers everything to perfection and doesn't make my skin look like a desert. This foundation costs 18 dollars. And you can order it online or go to a Morphe store where they can help you find your perfect shade. Follow all these steps and you will have a guaranteed perfect base every time.

E.L.F. : Ride or Die Lip Balm
It was a bit of a rollercoaster for me when ordering from elf.com. Somehow my old address got put into the shipping area, and so the products went to someone else. (Lucky them!) I contacted @elfcosmetics tho, and their customer service immediately got my correct address and sent out my products at no additional cost. I love a great customer service team! 🌱 vegan/animalcrueltyfree 🔗 @elfcosmetics 📍ELF Online Website 💰 $5 for 0.42 oz / 4 shades available 💬 You’ve heard me say it before, and I’ll never change — I love a lip product! A youthful and voluminous lip can entirely change the look of a persons face. These e.l.f. - Ride or Die Lip Balm are no exception. I’m trying Just Peachy (I’m obsessed with peach scents and flavors) and Mighty Mint, but I definitely want to try the other two. This product has vegan collagen and jojoba and doesn’t feel sticky on the lip at all. It is a bit of a pain to apply, as the product dispenses thickly, so you have to really squeeze to get it out. But I don’t mind that all, and prefer the balmy texture to that of a runnier gloss. These are quite similar to the #drpawpaw balms, but are not as cost efficient. Overall I like them a lot! Also, @elf offers #afterpay on orders totaling $35 and #freeshipping on orders totaling $15.
