lily collins 🍷 inspired look

Have you guys seen Emily in Paris? I know its stereotypical, unrealistic, and kindofunfairtothefrench but... It was so entertaining. I binged it in 2 days. I also found Emily’s actress, Lily Collins, super pretty. She looks like Snow White in so many makeup looks, so I tried my hand at once. This is what she wore in the 2017 Oscars. Here’s a few tips for how I did this look! 🍷 TIPS 🍷
Start the liner with pencil.
And keep it in the outer corner of your eyes. The pencil should emphasize your upper and lower outer corners to frame the wing. I used my PHYSICIANS FORMULA - Eye Boost Gel Eyeliner Trio
Avoid felt-tipped liner.
Ironically, that’s what I used here. The L'ORÉAL - Infallible Super Slim Liquid Eyeliner
IS great quality and value. Its opaque and hasn’t gone bad with on/off use in 2 years. The finish is sort of shiny, and it glides on easy. Buuuut for this look, go for full paint liquid liner. It’ll make the wing more pronounced, and less likely to fray. The felt tip is great, but the ink can run low for this kind of look.
Use white + light eyeshadow to emphasize the space.
This helps a LOT. It doesn’t look like it at first, but this look has shadow! I used the URBAN DECAY - UD x Gwen Stefani Eyeshadow Palettepalette. Take a color that’s your skin color (but shimmery) and apply it all over your eyelid. (I used the shade Bathwater) Put a MINIMAL amount of brown crease shadow at the outer edge (Anaheim). Do a bright inner corner highlight (Blonde) AAAAAND fill in the space between your black liner (Blonde). It might soften the black liner- No worries, pure liquid liner can easily go over it again. Still, using skin-toned / brighter shadow really makes the black pop!
Make your lashes biggest at the center.
Guys I had to redo my lashes like 10 times. And I trimmed the ends a LOT. It doesn’t even make it across my entire lid, but that’s okay- To match Lilly Collin’s look, center the lashes. Opt for a frayed look like e.l.f. - Natural Lash Kit
so it opens your eyes without hiding the liner. I personally like this lash set and glue. The lashes are a little fragile, but they’re comfortable. And I like that the glue is clear- You can’t see all the places I accidentally got it on my eye. 🤡
Pick a lip color with sheen.
Her lips aren’t fully matte in this picture. But I like that- they have a pretty glow. I went for a more berry looking color. The NYX - Soft Matte Metallic Lip Cream
in Madrid is just as good as the regular matte lip colors. They’re not drying, and they’re super pigmented.
And finally, a subtle blush.
I found that peach/ amber goes well with this look. Apply it to the apples of your cheek, and avoid the under eyes. This will make the eye area look more open. I used the BOURJOIS - Little Round Pot Blusher
in Rose Amber. A little hard to swatch, but pretty and subtle!

taking notes from Euphoria’s makeup artist
Cheers to #Euphoria for making glittery, color block makeup more popular ! Makeup artist Doniella Davy shared some of her tricks on HudaBeauty and WhoWhatWhere articles. To recreate Rue’s glitter tears look on the Carnival episode, I took these tips ✨ 🔮 Use scotch tape to create clean lines for color blocking 🔮 Use a glitter (eyesafe!!) gel that dries down fast for the triangles 🔮 Buff burgundy eyeshadow onto the eyelids + line eyes with a black pencil 🔮 Make triangles smaller if you want it to be more “wearable” 🔮 (sooooorta a makeup tip) photograph glitter in low light 🌹 DID IT WORK? 🌹 Overall, yes! Buffing the eyeshadow and eyeliner were easy, but the glitter part got tricky. To make it pop, I layered the URBAN DECAY - Heavy Metal Glitter Eyeliner in Midnight Cowboy over stila - Glitter & Glow Liquid Eyeshadowin Dollish. The stila product has finer shimmer and pigment to add more dimension. BUT I picked up on more tips during the process to help fellow newbies: 🌙 REALLY secure the tape on your face. And yes, it’s important that it dries down fast. The stila product was just a little too liquidy, so it bled under the tape. Still got a straight line, but I had to touch up after. 🌙 Use the outer edge of your eye to guide the tape’s angle. You can angle the tap as long or as steep as you want- either way, using the outer corner as your guide will help it look cohesive. Start with a small triangle if you want to make this “wearable” for the weekend /everyday makeup. 🌙 Blend your eyeliner. Use your finger or a brush to blend the black liner on your upper and lower lash line. Where you apply it depends on your eye shape, but a little blend will make the eyes look more smokey/ moody than a clean line. Also, build it up slowly. The glitter is the focus~ the liner just helps frame it. 🌙 Make your mascara subdued (optional) Like the liner, use a light hand with mascara if you want to match Rue’s mood here. Especially if you have oily lids like me, a light hand will help stop raccoon eyes from hiding the glitter triangles. 🌙 Pair with a reddish, blotted lip for more glam Though Rue / Zendaya doesn’t have a lippie on here, you can do a red, purple, or pink lip to make it look more feminine or stylish. ⭐️ A final thought: Davy made a comment that in Euphoria, her makeup goal wasn’t to make eyes look bigger or lips more plump. It was more about showing how the character felt in that moment. So in this scene, she used the upside down triangles to make Rue look melancholic (for reasons I will keep hush)! It makes sense that even though she has glitter, the look isn’t full glam. I just thought that was fun food for thought with makeup. So take these looks and tips and make them your own!

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR 10k- CHERIE INSPIRED LOOK❣
Thank you all so much for 10k followers. I am so appreciative to the Cherie community for cheering me on. I started on this platform around 5 months ago and didn’t know how much of an impact this app would have on me. It has allowed me to express my creativity through makeup, tweek my skincare routine and even experiment with hairstyling and nails. I am humbled by everyone’s kind words and positivity that this app provides. I created this “Cherie” inspired look to show my appreciation to the Cherie community 🍒❣️🥰 Products used: green eyeshadow from MORPHE - Morphe X Maddie Ziegler The Imagination Palette NYX - White Liquid Liner RIMMEL - Exaggerate Eyeliner L'ORÉAL - Infallible Super Slim Liquid Eyeliner In white NYX - The Sex Bomb Femme Fatale Shadow Palette red halloween lipstick NYX - Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick How to: I first mixed together the green eyeshadow, black liner and white liner to create a green eyeliner. I used this with a liner brush and created a wing. Next I extended the wing downwards to create the stems of the cherry. I also added a leaf on the stem. Next I used the Halloween red lipstick to create the base for the cherry. I added the red eyeshadow from the Sexbomb palette to make it extra pigmented. To create depth for darker shadows on the cherries, I used the NYX lipstick. To create highlights on the stem and cherries I used the white liquid eyeliners. **The more detail, the more realistic it will look. I will post the tutorial tomorrow for a better visual. Watch the video if you want to learn more about me ☺️ Again, thanks for all the love 💕 ❤️ ✨ #CheirePartner

Eye makeup mistakes and how to fix them
I think at some point or another we all made at least one of these mistakes. The good news is the makeup artists of social media have spoken up and set the record straight. I myself have been guilty of all these mistakes myself years ago, but have learned the proper way to make my eyes look bigger. If you look at the comparison, you can see my eye area is smoother, brighter, and more open in the right side of my face- the side I made all the corrections to the makeup mistakes (picture on the left side of my face). To me, the difference is super significant. 💄 eyeliner: the mistake is drawing around your whole eye, and in even thickness, and for me, drawing in my water line. For me, I learned to draw only on my upper lid, and so always do a cat eye, making the line above my inner corner thinner then the cat eye line above my outer lid. The best way Ive been able to do that is to use a liquid liner, my go-to right now is L'ORÉAL - Infallible Super Slim Liquid Eyeliner . 💄 concealer: the most common mistake made is to only apply concealer to the under eye area (around the “bags” area) leaving the entire area under eye to the nose empty. Taking your concealer down all the way to thw bottom on thw nose and drawing kind of a triangular shape of concealer under the eye makes for a brighter, more natural finish. I also find that for me it opens my eye much more. benefit - Boi-ing Hydrating Concealer 💄 mascara: my mistake was applying one coat of mascara, focusing evenly across the entire lash line. The improvement I’ve found that opens my eye further and emphasizes the cat eye look is to focus on the outer lash and to apply 2 coats. L'ORÉAL - Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara 💄 eyebrows: finding my way to draw my ideal brow shape took some time. The most common mistake that literally changes your face is drawing the wrong eyebrow shape that doesnt suit your face structure, or drawing too thin of a brow. Ive found the shape that suits my face best and try my best to recreate it exactly every time- eyebrows is hands down the hardest part of my makeup routine and i almost always mess it up or just take too long to get them even, but I know my ideal shape, and I can do my best to recreate it every time. benefit - Goof Proof Brow Pencil #cheriepartner

Trying a new (to me) makeup product✨
On friday night I got bored and decided to do my face. This is what I came up with. What was supposed to be a very natural beat turned into a VERY full glam beat very quickly. The star of the show was the Juvia's PLACE - The Saharan Blush Palette (vol. 1) that I recently got from their flash sale and sis made some points. I have never really been into blush (and I’m pretty sure I put too much on), but I really like how it worked with my bronzer to warm up my face. The other products on my face are: EYEBROWS: - NYX - Tame & Frame Brow Pomade in “Espresso” - L'ORÉAL - Infallible Full Wear Waterproof Concealer in “415 Honey” EYES: - ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - Jackie Aina Eyeshadow Palette - bh cosmetics loose foil pigment and glitter glue - lashes from aliexpress BASE: - MAYBELLINE - Fit Me Matte + Poreless Liquid Foundationin “340 Cappuccino and 356 Warm Coconut” - e.l.f. - Hydrating Camo Concealerin “Deep Olive” (highlight) - Juvia's PLACE - Juvia’s PLACE Shade Sticksin “Tunisia” (contour) - REVOLUTION - MAKEUP REVOLUTION Loose Baking Powderin “Banana Deep” (to set highlight) - MAYBELLINE - Fit Me Matte + Poreless Powderin “355” (to set the rest of my face) - MORPHE - Glamabronze Face & Body Bronzerin “Trailblazer” - e.l.f. - Matte Magic Mist & Set LIPS: - NYX - Slim Lip Pencilin “Espresso” - NYX - Soft Matte Metallic Lip Creamin “London” - NYX - Butter Glossin “Fortune Cookie” - essence - Shine Shine Shine Lipglossin “Behind the Scenes” Aside from my lip products which I took off before putting my mask on, the makeup was 100% transfer proof! Do you see any of your favorite products here? Do you have any product/application recommendations for me? Let me know in the comments!

😌Eye Primer = No More Creasing
😌Eye Primer = No More Creasing
When I first started doing makeup, I didn’t see the point of eyeshadow primer. But as I kept doing eyeshadow, I realized my eyelids were oily! After a few hours, my eyeshadow would form a weird crease in my eyelid fold. So I finally gave eye primer a chance, and it changed the game. Right now, I used the Wet n Wild eye primer- which only costs $5.49. 🌺 PRODUCT REVIEW: WHO IS THIS PRIMER BEST FOR ? 🌺 wet n wild - Photo Focus Eyeshadow Primer I’ve tried a lot of primers from Too Faced, Nyx, Smashbox and Urban Decay. Some are too thick and crease, while others are more pigmented to cover uneven eye tones. This Wet n Wild one stands out because: It’s so affordable It truly prevents eye creasing. It has a light tinted base (almost translucent), just the right amount to make eyeshadow pop more. This primer has a thin texture, making it comfortable on the eye. It dries in 20 seconds, so you have time to even it out. Honestly, it’s comparable to even some higher-end brands. 💄IN SUMMARY It’s for oily lids that need a brightening base. It’s not for people who want a primer that also acts like a concealer. 🌟 HOW TO APPLY IT 🌟 Do your foundation / base first. This helps if you want to even out your eye skin tone and cover under eye circles before eyeshadow. Put a pea-sized amount on your finger and apply to your eyelid. A thin layer will do for the WHOLE lid area. You can even take a little to the lower eye lid if you put shadow there. Using a finger helps this product melt in. (OPTIONAL) Apply a base eyeshadow color over primer. If you don’t like the whitish undertone to this primer, using a shadow that matches your skin tone will create a nice base for color- While still getting the anti- crease effect. FINALLY, apply your shadow like normal! 🌼 COMPARISON (PRIMER & NO PRIMER) 🌼 The eyeshadow on my primed eye is sliiightly more vibrant than the other one. But more importantly, it didn’t crease. The photo of my creased eye was taken 3 hours after application. I asked my sister if she saw a difference in my eyeshadow. I didn’t tell her which eye had primer, but she pointed at the primed eye and said it was more vibrant. Also notice the line on my eye crease. Indoors, it wasn’t creasing. But as soon as I stepped outside on a humid day, it started to break down. PS: WOW ring lights make a difference to noticing your makeup blend. Bonus pro tip from this post- use a ring light to see where you can blend more 😅 💐 What primers have you tried ? Are there any tricks you use to get the most of it ?

WEAR A MASK BUT MAKE IT FASHION😉😛
WEAR A MASK BUT MAKE IT FASHION😉😛
who said wearing a mask nowadays had to be boring?! Not me for sure! I love playing up my eyes! 🤩 whether that’s with a inner corner highlight, a big bold liner or even a fun eye look like this! So for this look, it looks very complicated but it’s super simple and easy! 🥰 when it comes to shadows, all you have to ensure is there is a lot of blending and that’s it! Otherwise once you add the shimmery lid shade, it all comes together really well so let’s go through it 😊 FENTY BEAUTY - Sun Stalk'r Instant Warmth Bronzer I always use a bronzer as my crease shade to start off any look, especially one with colours to help blend other shadows HUDA BEAUTY - Mercury Retrograde Eyeshadow Palette so far this palette is gorgeous and I took multiple shades from this palette to create this look! I used the shades karma and utopia on my crease and they are wildly pigmented🙈 I then added some of the shade Libra (lavender) on my lid as a matter shade before adding in shimmer. For the lid colour I used cosmic with a dense brush to pack a punch and a little of the shade off balance to add some depth into the crease NYX - Epic Ink Liner created a very think link super close to my lash line and used the shade vortex from the huda palette on an angled brush to smoke out the liner! This worked perfectly with the eye since the eye was a lavender purple toned and vortex is a deep rich purple (close to black) ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - Carli Bybel Eyeshadow Palette this is the final palette I used in this look and I used the shade mandala all over the lid as well to enhance the purples, the shade Bybel through the crease and smudged the shade boie on my lower lash line & shade boli for my inner corner highlight and brow bone highlight essence - Extreme Lasting Eye Pencil and used a shimmery purple shade on my bottom waterline to tie in more purple MAYBELLINE - Lash Sensational Mascara Full Fan Effect my favourite mascara to tie in the look all together and that’s it!! This look is super simple and honestly it’s all in the blending of all the soft shades in the crease 🤗 also I’m still trying to figure out how to keep my makeup off my mask so maybe I’ll come back with more tips and tricks regarding that #cheriepartner

My forever go to eyeshadow look!
My forever go to eyeshadow look!
My favorite eye look will always consist of lashes and one eyeshadow color that I’ve used for years! I’m a simple girl when it comes to my go to type of look and for me that is a Mac eyeshadow and lashes! MAC - MAC Eyeshadow BROWNSCRIPT is my most bought and forever favorite eyeshadow EVER. It is the perfect burnt terracotta/brown color. It is perfect on its own or great for a transition color. I’ve been using this eyeshadow for YEARS. I use a fluffy blending brush and feather out this color all over my lid. Sometimes I’ll pop my cheek highlighter in the corner of my eye and I’m good to go! ARDELL - Remy Lashes Never afraid to add extra bang to my look with some nice full fluffy lashes! Ardell is my favorite, they never fail and you can get them anywhere for affordable prices! #cheriepartner

✨ Easy Pop of Color ✨
✨ Easy Pop of Color ✨
This has been my go to look for when I barely have any time to get ready, but still want to throw on a little bit of makeup and have a fun look! It literally takes less than 5 minutes, which is a record for me lol. The pop of color in the inner color can be swapped for any color! . Products used: Violet Voss - Coral Crush Eyeshadow and Pressed Pigment Palette - The pinks and other colors in this palette are so pretty! They are easy to work with and can create a good amount of looks with this palette. The mattes need some help and need to be built up, but the shimmers are so pigmented! It does crease after sometime, but that’s not a deal breaker. . benefit - Roller Liner Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner - This liner is so difficult to work with. It skips a lot because it dries out very quickly, but when you go back over an area, it lifts off the previous product. It’s so annoying to work with and hard to get a good wing because there’s not a lot of control with this product. . COVERGIRL - Lash Blast Amplify Eyelash Primer - One of the best mascara primers I’ve ever tried, plus so budget friendly!! It makes my lashes look longer and thicker. It’s a white color, but is easily covered when you put on your regular mascara. . CLINIQUE - High Impact Mascara - This mascara is meh, it doesn’t give me lashes that I love, but it’s alright. It does give them a dark tint, but doesn’t really lengthen or thicken them. It can smudge and usually does, so it’s not one that I reach for that often. . Steps: 1) Set the eye with a color that’s close to your skin tone (I used the white shade in this palette). 2) Make a line starting at the outer third of your eyelid and thicken it as you get closer to the edge and create a wing. 3) Use a brush or your finger to tap the color of your choice onto your inner corner. 4) Add mascara primer and mascara. I also did my brows! . #CheriePartner

SLAY at home ✨💄🏠
SLAY at home ✨💄🏠
The way I slay at home is with a bold, exaggerated cut crease with a neon ombre and custom false lashes. I have included a list of ALL the products featured in this makeup look, however, I will be focusing more on the eyes, and how I achieve this look. Firstly, priming the eye before shadow application is great. For this, I use the Revolution Conceal & Define full coverage foundation in F11 to create a lighter base for my whole eye. After I have seat that, I begin with the B Perfect Cosmetics Carnival III palette using the color Reef first to create the overall shape of where I want my crease. When I’m comfortable with that, I go in and deepen the crease with a smaller brush blending both Lagoon and The Deep. One thing that I truly love most about this palette is the SATURATION of the colors, as a dark-complected individual, I find it nice knowing that I don’t have to use a lot of product to achieve a bold and impactful eyeshadow application. Once I have achieved that, I go in with a clean flat brush and apply the Kat Von D Lock-It Concealer in Whiteout to Prime the lid, and create a clean crease. I like this product a lot because it is REALLY white, and dries very fast with a nice matte finish. Once that is dry I layer in a bit more of Reef, and Lagoon, blending them outward. I then add the Give Face Cosmetics poly pigment in neon green blending outward away from the inner corner of the eye to create a nice ombre. I then further define the crease by taking my Nyx Epic Ink liquid liner in black and trace the outward line of my cut crease to make it even sharper. Starting above the center of the iris and working out. I then take the Nyx Epic Ink liquid liner in white, and trace the outer corner of the crease starting at the inner corner of the eye, and pulling it back until it meets the black liner. I finished that with a sharp black winged liner using the Nyx Cosmetics Epic ink liner in black, apply my YSL mascara in black, and then top it off with custom-built lashes.
