🍵 green tea works!! for dark circles
I've had struggles with insomnia since I was a kid. At one point, I accepted my dark circles. But sometimes, making yourself look healthier can make you FEEL better. And that's important. When you lose sleep, your skin gets paler, & your blood vessels dilate. So thin, pale skin + bigger vessels = dark under eyes. The 1st solution is to sleep more. But the 2nd works really well for our off days! 🍃 GREEN TEA TREATMENT 🍃 I was skeptical of this at first. But it WORKS. In the first pic (above), I had gotten 4 hours of sleep. In the after (below) pic, I had done a green tea bag soak. Tutorial :
Soak two tea bags in water in your refrigerator. I left mine overnight.Try to use pure green tea. I used the #Twinings - Green Tea[products]#
Take the bags, squeeze excess water, and apply them over your eyes.Leave a little water so it can get snug on your eyes (like a blanket). I put the thick end on my under eye, and fit the top part on my upper lid. Both are important to reduce dark circles.
Remove after 15 minutes. And that's it! Your eyes will look less red, and you'll feel more awake. I know the process is long- so it's not ideal for when you're in a rush. But it's also very anti-anxiety. My facial muscles felt relaxes, and the redness was 75% gone. My skin felt tighter (in a good way) for a few hours. 🍂TESTING ANOTHER METHOD🍂 I wanted to try a quick under eye cream for days where I only have a minute. So I tried the PACIfICA - Rose Jelly Beauty Sleep Undereye Gel
Leave it in the fridge over night
In the morning, rub the product in (using the glass beads to massage the eyes).Sadly, the difference was minimal. It made me feel relaxed, but I wonder if I should have used more of the gel / kept the cooling beads on longer. 🧪 INGREDIENTS BREAKDOWN 🧪 I think green tea worked better because I kept it on (and cold) so long. It has a high concentrate of caffeine and ECGC. Both constrict blood vessels, and reduce inflammation. The Pacifica product has caffeine, too. But its first ingredient is witch hazel (reduces swelling). It also has caffeine, rose extract (reduces lines), and blue tansy (soothes irritation). All these are helpful to target dark circles, but maybe they're not potent enough. And the tube is small, so I don't want to use too much of it. On the plus side, it kept my under eyes moisturized all day. So I'll still take it for on the go. But if you REALLY need to look awake for a Zoom meeting or appointment? Green tea is the way to go!

Pacifica’s Rose Jelly Beauty Sleep Undereye Gel
PACIfICA - Rose Jelly Beauty Sleep Undereye Gel I liked this product. It comes in really cute packaging like all of Pacifica’s stuff. The tube itself is a very good design and is travel friendly because you can turn it on and on off to prevent the gel from getting squeezed out in your bag or something like that. To use it you squeeze a little out on to the applicator and roll it around under your eye. The little rollers are nice and cool and this product would probably feel great if you put it in the refrigerator before using. It does tingle a little bit sometimes but for me that never lasted more than a few minutes....I mostly used it as a night time eye serum. I think it helped prevent eye puffiness in the morning. I also used it after swimming on my raccoon eyes from my goggles. I think that the goggle marks cleared up faster with this eye gel than without.
Budget eye cream: Etude House Moistfull Collagen
✨ Disclaimer: this review is for the old packaging and formula. Etude House recently changed the packaging and formula and I have not tried the new product. ETUDE - Moistfull Collagen Eye Cream I first started using this product about 2.5 years ago when I noticed my dark circles were starting to become more prominent. I was looking for a budget eye cream and this product was usually $15-22 on Yesstyle. Texture - the texture is very fluffy and whipped, but not watery. It feels a little bit like whipped jello 😆 Scent - this product does contain synthetic fragrance, but I didn’t find it too strong. To me, it smells vaguely floral. Application - this product comes in a little plastic jar with a spatula to scoop out the cream. There’s no place in the jar to put the spatula though, it doesn’t fit in the jar itself. Results - I used this product every night for 2.5 years. At the beginning, I really feel like I saw results! I felt like my eye circles were getting brighter and I stopped wearing concealer under my eyes. But in the past year or so, I’ve noticed this product has started to give me a little bit of milia around my eye area. I’ve gotten 1-2 milia around my eyes, and they usually come off on their own after a few months, but it’s made me think that this eye cream might be a little too heavy for me. Overall thoughts - I thought this was a good budget option, but I’ve recently discovered Cerave’s eye cream and the Inkey List’s eye cream, and those are even cheaper and have great reviews. I might try those instead, but I’m also just not as sold on the benefits of eye cream now that I’ve learned it’s just a small, more expensive moisturizer 🤷🏻♀️ I probably would not repurchase this product again.

Recently added this eyes cream on my skincare routine & I love it! FIRST AID BEAUTY - Eye Duty Niacinamide Brightening Eye Cream When I first applied this under my eyes I thought it was way too shiny & glittery but after it settles down it looks so good! I still haven’t tried this under makeup to see how it works but for no makeup days it’s amazing. This claims to reduce dark circles & that’s what I’m more excited about.✨ Is eye cream part of your routine?

eye think I love you
My two go to eye products lately have both been from the brand Versed, which is a fairly affordable brand! x VERSED - THE FIX Emergency Eye Mask x retails for 17.99 and is perfect for those days where you did not get enough sleep and are tired tired tired. x it has caffeine, cucumber juice vitamin E and B5 to all work together to cool and depuff the delicate skin under your eyes and also sooth and calm any redness. It’s also ultra hydrating. x the texture pictured is the top one, it’s very lightweight and melts into the skin for that instant cooling effect. It feels like absolutely nothing. x since I’ve been using this, my undereyes sure have thanked me. It’s great for mornings after I’ve studied my life away and really need an extra pick me up. It definitely made me look less tired and especially for my college people — you need this. Sometimes, for an extra treat I’ll apply this before I shower to really get some relaxation out of it. Honestly, I love this and I think for being available online and at target, it’s so accessible and a great product to have in your collection. VERSED - VACATION EYES Brightening Eye Gel x retails for 17.99 as well. It focuses on combating those pesky dark circles with the use of vitamin C , ginseng root extract and niacinamide. All ingredients that help to brighten the skin. x like it’s sister product, it feels very cool and refreshing on the skin while also leaving your undereyes bright and ready to take on the world. x one interesting thing about this product is that it also has coffee seed extract which is meant to flush away any excess fluid hanging out, how neat is that? x the texture is a clear lightweight gel (pictured) and is non sticky and soaks into the skin quickly. x this has become such an important part of my morning routine and has already helped with my dark circles! It can only help so much since dark circles are also genetic but I love how this has helped in any way it can! highly recommend to all since it’s so affordable

Are eye crema worth your money? 👀
Do you REALLY need an eye cream? 👀 Here's the thing, the skin around your eyes is more fragile and more prone to dryness. Because of this, it's also the first area to show age signs and fatigue. We move our eyes A LOT, which hastens the appearance of lines and wrinkles. To make things worse, fluids tend to collect under this area, which results in puffiness and dark circles. So, are eye creams worth it? 💸 Here's the truth: eye creams are GREAT for properly moisturizing and caring for your eye area. However, they WON'T get rid of dark circles. Why? Because dark circles and puffiness are the results of circulation issues. You need lymphatic massages in this area to help those lessen overtime. I include them in my skincare routine because it helps with my eye area sensitivity and overall texture. But, I'm aware that it won't make my dark circles disappear. What's your take on eye creams?
My highlight of my skincare is Lamer. I haven’t used all of them as I usually keep minis for travel and as a S.O.S treatments in my hand bag. I am really looking forward to trying them and seeing if they are actually worth the money or of my usual day moisturiser is still winning the game. The only thing that I have used up during the past month was their eye concentrate which is actually amazing. I can’t say anything about other stuff for now but this eye cream is everting I am looking into an eye cream, it’s thick but thin, makes my dark circles (genetic ones😂) disappear, and leaves my eyes comfortable and soothed. Going to review the creamed sometime soon. The only thing that bothers me is the mineral oil in them.
