✨ picking your BB/CC/tinted moisturizer

Tinted moisturizers (TMs), BB creams, and CC creams are all light coverage alternatives to foundation. But what’s the difference between each, and how do you pick the right one? ⭐️ TM, BB, or CC? ⭐️
TM- What it sounds like. Your standard daily moisturizer, just with a little color. Often light coverage.
BB Cream- stands for Beauty or Blemish balm. Combines moisturizer, primer, SPF, and tint. It’s an all-in-one product that’s usually light-medium coverage.
CC Cream- stands for Color Correcting. Contains pigments/undertones to correct redness or other discoloration. Coverage varies.
Any of these creams can be dewy or matte. They’re usually not full coverage- but in my experience, TMs are usually the lightest coverage and CCs are the thickest. ⭐️ TIPS TO PICK YOURS ⭐️ 🌸 Determine your skin type and concern. Do you want dewy skin, and minimal coverage? Go for Glossier. - Perfecting Skin Tint Medium-full coverage with SPF that looks like natural skin? it Cosmetics - it Cosmetics CC+ Cream SPF 50+
An affordable, all in one tint with primer? MAYBELLINE - Dream Fresh BB Cream 8-In-1 Skin Perfector SPF 30
That same thing, but with a matte finish? MAYBELLINE - Dream Matte BB Cream SPF15 Personally, I’ve been using the PHYSICIANS FORMULA - Super BB All-In-1 Beauty Balm Cream SPF 30
for a year. My skin is sensitive, and it gives light coverage while looking like your skin. You can see how it covers my under eye circles and minor blemishes on the 3rd pic. That’s without concealer. It has never broken me out and it lasts all day. It only needs minimal touch ups for shine. It’s a gel that flows out of the bottle without spilling. I love how easy it is to work with and it has moisturizers like Shea Butter and Willow extract for skincare! BONUS: I tried the L'ORÉAL - Studio Secrets Magic Skin Beautifier B.B. Cream
I liked it, though its odd- it comes out white and has little pigment bubbles that burst as you blend it into your skin. Texture is liquidy, but the finish on my face was nice and satiny. ⭐️ PICKING THE RIGHT COLOR ⭐️ 🌸 If you can, match within the same brand. Some brands use the same names for their BB cream and foundation lines. This saves a lot of hassle- with Too Faced, for example, I figured out I was usually their “Vanilla” shades. Sadly, TMs, BBs, and CC creams usually have less colors to choose from. But Colourpop, Black Radiance, and Laneige all have wide shade ranges. 🌸 If not, use a foundation matrix Temptalia, Sephora, and Findation all have a way for you to put your current foundation and find its match in other brands! This helps you break it down to not just get the right lightness, but also your undertones. 🌸 Mix & match. Truth is, there’s no perfect match for our skin. But the TMs, BBs, and CC can be mixed with other pigments to get the perfect match.

My natural bare skin makeup routine
#cheriepartner ( my light wear natural makeup look) I’m so passionate about this look and how it means to me because feeling beautiful in my own skin and looking natural makes me feel so confident about myself. I don’t have to feel like I need to wear heavy makeup or no makeup at all to feel beautiful or hide the natural beauty God gave us . I used to be not so confident when I was 16 I didn’t ever want to leave the house without a full face of makeup or feeling like I need to hide all the flaws that appeared on my skin But one day I realized that I don’t have to hide anything and I can be me natural and beautiful in my own skin and I really felt like myself and beautiful inside and not just on the outside. That’s why I’m so passionate about makeup And doing what makes me feel me is ( NATURAL ) Also doing natural dewy looks feels a lot better on my skin too it’s light and not heavy and my break outs are less and I can let me skin breathe a little “ even tho I’m still wearing some makeup “ it’s light but not heavy , it’s natural and last me all day long . I’ve been doing this look for awhile now and it’s always my everyday go to look :) I do love a bold look and wearing eyeliner once in a while and I think it’s also so so fun to go full glam and having fun with makeup is so awesome just creating our own looks is beautiful and unique! We are all beautiful inside and out let’s never forget that! I’m so inspired in the beauty / makeup industry to see all the amazing makeup looks that make you , you! It really inspires me so much and that’s why I love to do what I do with makeup! I just love watching beauty bloggers turn their looks into a story it’s truly beautiful ❤️ First used my REVLON - Photoready Rose Glow Hydrating + Illuminating Primer for a illuminatrice look behind the bb cream and foundation Sometimes I like to mix these two colors for a warm bronze tone the color of the BB cream is light/ medium sheer tintMAYBELLINE - Dream Fresh BB Cream 8-In-1 Skin Perfector SPF 30 COVERGIRL - Clean Liquid Foundation in the color classic ivory they look pretty mixed together or just separate they both look so natural on. My favorite sheer BB cream is only $7!
So I dont wear full faces of makeup often, but when I do, I use the Maybelline Fresh BB cream! I have used foundations before, from low end to high end, and I struggled for two main reasons: My skin tone isnt even/constant so I was always mixing shades to match for each hour, and even then a perfect swatch wouldn’t fit well with the rest of my face. My undertone can be pretty grayish which contributes to unevenness , dullness, and opaque foundations looking weird on me. I tend to have quite large pores and I have had acne/acne scars, so a more opaque foundation could bring more texture. I prefer to a heavier primer/concealer(I’ll do some reviews on my fav soon) and a lighter foundation, so a sheer base tends to be what I reach for. The Maybelline BB cream is perfect for evening and brightening my skin while looking natural and pretty in the process. . It is definitely more suited as a “no makeup makeup” product but when combined with other products, you can make it look more glamorous. Its sheer enough to give an overall even look to the face and match my skin, but opaque enough to blur my skin a little and look like a light foundation. It says it adjusts to the skin which I could believe. It won’t cover up acne or dark spots completely, as seen in the third picture when I put it on my hands, but that’s expected for a sheer coverage BB cream. I tend to rely on my concealer for covering up blemishes anyways. The BB cream blends very well on the skin and wont increase the look of textures and pores, in fact doing the opposite by making my skin look less textured and smooth. It blurs well and enhanced my face without drying my skin. Theres pomegranate extract in it, which might be a plus for those interested in it. It tends to be a little bit shiny at first, not oscar award shiny but a slight sheen. It’s not a concern for me as lightly tapping it in and using powder gets rid of any shiny-ness. When paired with a good primer and setting spray, it lasts a very long time- 8 hours even when I was in the hot 100 degree weather outside. I touched it up with some powder and spray after 8 hours and it looked good as new. There is some SPF in it, which is nice. Its not enough to replace an actual sunscreen, but when paired with sunscreen in your skincare routine and other makeup products with spf in it, it can help a lot in preventing damage especially if you go outside a lot. And finally, it’s at a great price. $7 is pretty good for a foundation/bb cream, and I tend to get it cheaper at my local grocery store. It does everything it claims to do, and is affordable. Its worth it in my opinion. My only concern with the product is I wish there are more shade ranges available. The sheerness and color adjusting quality helps increase the amount of people who can use it, but I think more shades should come out to make sure everyone can use it. Maybelline has came out with more shades in their other products, so this might be next hopefully. MAYBELLINE - Dream Fresh BB Cream 8-In-1 Skin Perfector SPF 30

RARE BEAUTY FOUNDATION REVIEW!!
Hey guys! I recently bought theRare Beauty - Liquid Touch Weightless Foundation and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!! Here's why: I picked the right shade which is 140C!! I had to play around with the shade finder on Sephora and took a tally to see which shade made sense, plus I picked one that matches my cool undertone. Super important to know your undertone! It's like BUTTER! 🤩💕 So smooth & easy to blend out It has a doe foot applicator instead of a pour and I like that because you can't spill it, plus this foundation goes a long way & the applicator holds so much foundation it's unbelieveable. The doe foot is really well designed and it's really flat, soft, and smooth and I don't have to dip it in the bottle that often to get more foundation which I'm surprised about. When you apply powder, it doesn't cake! It just becomes slightly drier and is smoothed out more. This foundation sets really nicely and when I wore my mask today not much came off and I was super happy about that. Also, I've tried foundations that got cakey before and this one does do a little bit to large pores, but it does depend on the powder you use - I've tried it with 3 and results were different. 🤷🏼‍♀️ But anyway this is a smooth foundation that gets better and is there to stay after you put it on. (it sets well with the URBAN DECAY - Full Size All Nighter Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray Duo ) I have large pores and this product didn't make them seem bigger, it smoothed them out! So crazy to me and this foundation is worth it!! Things to consider: It reminds me of the Glossier. - Perfecting Skin Tintbecause of the formula and Rare Beauty - Liquid Touch Weightless Foundation is thicker so don't worry about not getting enough coverage 😂 I think it would be best on any skin type honestly, and I have oily skin and it didn't affect me throughout the day - 12 hr wear, so I think you should consider your skin type and what you use to set. The best tool to use is a sponge, since it's very liquidy and lightweight, so a brush would just soak it all up and wouldn't give as smooth of a finish. Stay healthy folks!! 💁🏼‍♀️🥰

✨ powder + spray for the perfect base
I love my BB cream, but wearing it alone can start to look oily through the day. Plus, under eye foundation can start to crepe. Here’s the products I use to supplement it for a flawless base~ with a focus on my favorite powder & spray! 🌟 BASE 🌟 I’ve used the PHYSICIANS FORMULA - Super BB All-In-1 Beauty Balm Cream SPF 30for over a year. It’s a great BB that evens your skin tone, and looks natural. It’s also non-comedogenic, and has moisturizers like Shea butter. Only problem is it can look oily if I spend the day with no powder. 🌟 CONCEALER 🌟 I use the Too Faced - Born This Way Naturally Radiant Concealerwhich was sadly discontinued. :( But it’s not matte, nor too heavy for the under eyes. I’ve used the L'ORÉAL - True Match Super Blendable Concealer& bareMinerals - BARESKIN Complete Coverage Serum Concealer, which were both comparable. ⭐️ POWDER ⭐️ In LOVE with the Beauty Bakerie - Flour Setting Powder in Oat (Translucent). It comes in the CUTEST bakery bag packaging when you get it, and it’s a loose powder. It has never felt too cakey, heavy, or overly mattifying. It has a blurring effect on my face. In the 2nd photo, it also seemed to brighten up my skin. My skin is sensitive, but it’s never irritated it- its gentle enough to even set under eye concealer. Beauty Bakerie powders have a large shade range, so deep & olive toned peeps don’t have to worry about a white cast. I’ve bought it 2x with my own money by now. It’s vegan, silicone + paraben-free, and flashback free. After trying other powders, I think this is my holy grail. ⭐️ SPRAY ⭐️ Let’s say you DO actually put too much powder on. A setting spray that makes you glow can help. I really enjoy the COLOURPOP - Pretty Fresh Hydrating Setting Spray It’s affordable at $12, and comes with hyaluronic acid and 🥥 coconut water to moisturize your skin. It smells like fresh coconut with every spritz. With this spray over the powder, my skin looked glowing- but not overly oily. It also helps my eyeshadow melt into my skin, and just... brings the whole look together. Colourpop’s forte has always been eyeshadow imo, but I feel like they’re killing it in the base department now, too. I’ve used a lot of other base products before. I tried the Maybelline concealer, the L’Oreal True Match Foundation, the Urban Decay Naked skin powder and TonyMoly setting sprays. Some were too matte or broke me out, or just did nothing. I will def think of repurchasing these products when I run out (unless I want to try something new !) ✨ TLDR ✨ Use these products for natural looking, glowy (not oily) skin. Suitable for sensitive skin, and the powder has a large shade range.

🌺 drugstore blush for warm-neutral tones ☀️
If you’re wondering whether we have the same skin tone, here’s 3 foundations I’ve more-or-less matched with: L'ORÉAL - True Match Super-Blendable Foundation Makeupin N2/N3 Too Faced - Born This Way Natural Finish Foundationin Vanilla PHYSICIANS FORMULA - Super BB All-In-1 Beauty Balm Cream SPF 30 in Light Aaaaand through trial & error, I’ve learned the best colors for my skin tone are: Peaches Salmon tones Rosy pinks The last of which is the tone of today’s product! L'ORÉAL - Visible Lift Radiance Cheek Duo in Romantic in Rose. Their website says the product is discontinued, but it looks like Walgreens still carries it. And I hope it does, because I really like this product. 🌺 PRODUCT REVIEW 🌺 This is a very pigmented blush and highlighter duo. Both have sparkles in them~ But the blush’s finish is like satin, while the highlighter is somewhere between metallic/ natural. The product is easy to build up for maximum pigment. In my swatches, I just circled my finger on it for a few seconds and THAT was the result. It lasts pretty much all day, though someone with more oily skin may want to blot off excess sheen. It’s definitely not a matte product. Easy to blend, easy to match for any occasion- I keep it in a bag in my car in case I need to stay the night at a friend’s and need a back up makeup kit for the next day. 🌺 HOW I APPLIED IT 🌺 I put the blush on my: Cheeks Undereyes & in the crease Since peach and pink cancel out blue under eye tones, I applied it there. I was partially inspired by Momoko makeup from Japan, where blush tends to go near the eyes! I brought it up to my eyes and crease, where it was pigmented enough to double as eyeshadow. Which I love to make the look cohesive. Keep in mind that I applied with a heavy hand in these pictures! You can use a lighter hand to look more natural. 🌸 COMPARISON TO COOLER-TONED BLUSH 🌸 Don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing wrong with using colors outside what anyone recommends for your tone. Actually, sometimes “unnatural” colors are the best for experimental, creative looks. But I put the blush MAKE UP FOR EVER - Artist Face Color Highlight, Sculpt and Blush Powder in S214 to compare because it’s noticeably more cool-toned than the L’Oreal product. Sometimes, I have trouble telling if something is cool or warm toned alone. But when you put them next to each other, you see the difference. I still love this blush for more metallic, goth-ish makeup! But still, it can help you notice the colors that may be trickier to pull off on us like Mauve or Fuschia. What recommendations do you have for finding good blushes?

A Satisfying Texture | Foundation for Dry Skin❤️
Look at this awesome close up of the AMOREPACIFIC - Color Control Cushion Compact Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 50 😍 I have this thing called Trypophobia (fear of small holes) but for some reason this close up just fascinates me. You can really see the luminescence of the foundation within the sponge! For those of you who aren’t familiar with CC formulas/cushion foundation, they are typically a smoother, more liquid-like formula than your average foundation that is made to even out skintone. Most true CC formulations focus more on skincare elements and a wee bit less on color/color ranges, especially those from Korean brands. Western brands definite amp up the diversity of their skintone range, as well as overall pigmentation in their formulas. This means you’ll find more full-coverage CC cream/foundation from “western” brands like IT Cosmetic’s it Cosmetics - it Cosmetics CC+ Cream SPF 50+ . (Not my favorite for dry skin. I felt like the Sahara Desert all over again when I used their formula 🙄) Therefore, it might be difficult to find a shade that fits you if you have a deeper skintone. Side note: I consider IT cosmetics to be a western brand because upon a bit of research, the company was bought by L’Oréal and the products are mostly manufactured in China. I love this foundation for super dry skin because of how moisturizing it is. It’s awesome for creating that second-skin finish with a natural, dewy glow. If you have light-medium with slight neutral-gold undertones and struggle with a bit of texture, this foundation line could work well for you! Every time I try something new or I’m stuck in a rut, I always go back to this foundation. I love the ease of use and blendability. The size is great for travel and I find that it doesn’t bother my dry, sensitive, acne-prone skin. You can get a medium to slightly buildable full coverage without “erasing” the dimension/shadows in your face. Even though it has SPF it doesn’t wash my face out completely and doesn’t create a white cast. If there is any, it’s only slightly noticeable. You would have to look reeeaaally close to see it. Layering on powder/cream products are a breeze. I found the best way to use this product is with a slightly damp beauty blender. Start by placing a little bit onto the skin and then proceed to layer more as needed. There is something to be mindful of when you are using this product. If you live in a more humid/moist climate, I would add a little powder after your face primer and then proceed to add this foundation to help keep this in place throughout the day. You could also carry a powder puff with you throughout the day for touch-ups. Because the foundation has high moisture and provides a dewy finish, it can impact the longevity if you live in an moist/humid area 😊 Yay to a healthy glow! ❤️😄

Updated Foundation Collection 🌟
Yes I have a problem lol I just love trying new face formulas. My favorite here is still the Touch In Sol Advanced Real Moisture Foundation in shade 21. It’s the most skin-like of all of them so far and has great durability. It’s also one of the cheaper ones at only $18 on amazon 😀 I do like the way the ILIA serum lays down, but my god does it have a strong paint smell 😑 once it goes away it’s fine, but the first few minutes are rather rough as I’m sensitive to bad smells. Ah, the things we do for beauty 🤷‍♀️ Happy Sunday! 🍁 Don’t forget to hydrate and check your WiFi 😘

The Perfect “No-Makeup” Makeup Product
The Perfect “No-Makeup” Makeup Product
I’m not really one for foundation. I usually use a very light foundation if I do wear some — i.e. The Ordinary’s serum foundation. I’m unfortunately a “face toucher” so I can’t be bothered with face make up very often. I usually slap on concealer and bronzer in terms of face make up. With that being said, I’ve been loving the Graydon products I currently have and when I saw that they had a tinted moisturizer primer I had to try it. I read so many good reviews! GRAYDON - Face Glow For 40 mL this cost $24 CAD. I find I only use a tiny bit so the 40 mLs will last me a while. 🍁(PS it’s on sale. Regularly priced at $46 CAD)🍁 After my skincare I’ll pop this onto my face like I would any normal moisturizer. I use such a small amount and find it blends in beautifully. You can use a sponge or a brush but I’m lazy so I just use my fingers lol. This is perfect for a “no makeup” makeup look. The tint is gorgeous and gives me a healthy glow/complexion. Your skin looks radiant without looking like you’re wearing anything! I think it could work on most skin tones if you also wanted to just apply it as a highlight to your cheek bones or brow bones, or even under makeup as an actual primer. My concealer sits nicely over top of this and doesn’t cake or crease :) And with my bronzer I get a nice sun-kissed glow. I haven’t noticed any break outs, which is always good! 👌🏻 Haha! Why It’s Amazing: + It firms skin and improves elasticity with semi-precious smithsonite +Your skin glows with mineral-rich sustainably sourced mica +It brightens your complexion with ellagic acid rich raspberry seed oil +It minimizes the appearance of dark circles and spots with nutrient rich spirulina +It soothes your skin with aloe vera juice and zinc-rich pumpkin seed oil +It renews your look with skin nurturing sea buckthorn seed oil +It shields your face against the elements with non-nano zinc +It protects your skin from environmental stressors with rich buriti oil 100% recommend ❤️

Summer makeup picks 🌞💦
During the summertime, I hate the feeling of anything cakey on my face. I normally use It Cosmetics CC Cream as my foundation, but I like something even lighter to even my skin tone in summer! I am absolutely obsessed with this product. I would definitely describe it as a very low coverage product, but it is the perfect amount of coverage for me. I apply drops to my cheeks and t-zone and then blend it in with a damp beauty blender. I have used my fingers before and it spread very easily, but I prefer to use the sponge! It provides even coverage all over my face, and wears so well throughout the day. Sometimes I will place a translucent powder over it if I know I will be out in the heat, but otherwise I just leave it and mist a dewy setting spray over it!Glossier. - Perfecting Skin Tint As you can see in the last photo, it’s great for covering imperfections but leaving things like freckles visible 😊

Makeup mistakes: choosing the wrong shade
Makeup mistakes: choosing the wrong shade
I spent the longest time not really understanding (or caring) about makeup, especially when it came to choosing a face makeup product. I like very light coverage, but was having trouble finding something that suited me. I finally settled on It Cosmetics CC Cream. This is a rather full-coverage product as far as CC creams go. For the longest time I was wearing this product in a shade that was about two shades too dark for my natural skin tone. If I had just fake tanned it looked okay, but any other time it was WAY too dark, especially against my neck and chest. I was just really lazy and did not want to take the time to go to a store in-person and figure out which shade was right for me. Once I finally did, it was a total game changer. My whole face looked so much better, and my makeup looks were so much more natural. So the moral of the story is, take that extra time to find your correct shade! It makes all the difference! #CheriePartner

#ad #cheriepartner This product was on my wishlist for well over a year before I finally took the plunge. I had very high expectations due to the price tag and they were met AND exceeded! This is such a great multipurpose product. You can use it as a glowy primer (I love to do that when I’m wearing a light coverage base), you can mix it into your foundation to add a little glow and/or you can use it as a highlighter after your base is applied! I have applied this over setting powder and powder blush and bronzers and have NEVER had an issue with it disturbing the product underneath it. It makes my skin look dewy, healthy and glowy, it lasts all day and words cannot express just how much I love it!! It is 100% worth the money in my opinion. I have the shade 2 Light, which is described as a neutral peachy beige for fair skin. Swipe for a swatch. It’s a little icy for my faux summer tan, but any other time of the year it’s the perfect highlighter shade for my light skin tone and my preferences. If you have been wanting to try it, I can’t recommend it enough! Buy it and thank me later! 😁🙌🏼 #charlottetilbury #hollywoodflawlessfilter #dewyglow #dewyskin #holygrailproduct #flawlessfilter
