🍉Summer 2020 meets the 60s
Have you ever noticed how HUGE Twiggy’s eyes look in photographs. It’s because of the lashes on her bottom line + the lines they drew over their creases in the 60s. I wanted to do Summer makeup for 2020, even if we’re still in quarantine. But the good thing about this look is how much the eyes stand out~ So it still looks beautiful with a mask. PS: My foundation is covered in my last post on Color Correcting. Check that out if you want to learn more! Not gonna lie, though, this was TOUGH to recreate! Here’s how I used each product~ INGLOT - AMC Eyeliner Gel

Halloween Spiderweb Makeup 🕸 🕷
Ok this is Cherie so were all in agreement that Halloween makeup is the best part of Halloween correct? I find it so fun to play around with all types of makeup ideas every year. This is a great time to let your creativity shine through and have fun fulfilling your yearly fantasy of being a ladybug, scarecrow, hippie, Disney character, or just be abstract. This year I've decided to try the trendy spiderweb eyeliner look. I feel this look is a really cute Halloween twist to eyeliner and as difficult as it may look can be easily created. I also love that this trend can be completely your own, I’ve seen some people do spider web butterflies, flare their web out past their brow and even do a full lower lash web. To put my own twist on this I’ve decided to do a neon green under neath to make the spider web pop even more! To start this look you will need to first get an idea of how much web you want on your liner. I decided to go simple and create a smaller web branching off of the wing and going into the corner. After you have a stong idea of the look your trying to achieve you will take out a soft eyeliner pencil to start drafting your look. I am only going to draft out the web however if your unsure about your wing you can sketch that out as well. Once you have your draft take your sharpest liner and begin to create the web. I am choosing to do this with my Danessa Myricks liner in shade Electric Sun DANESSA MYRICKS BEAUTY - Waterproof Cushion Liner . After I will take my inglot gel liner and go over it. INGLOT - AMC Eyeliner Gel I recommend using a gel liner with a super fine detailed brush to help mitigate any errors. If you dont like working with gels then find a liquid liner that has a super thin applicator that can allow you to get fine details. I am using my Morphe MORPHE - M160-1/16 Angled Eyeliner Brush I hope you all try this super fun look this Halloween season! If you do please tag me on Instagram so I can see how your personal touch Halloween 👻

🌸 hailey bieber sparkly pink look
I’ve noticed Hailey Bieber has a lot of pink and mauve makeup looks. Kind of like Lily Collins with red lips or Megan Fox with black eyeliner. I’m a sucker for soft, sparkling pinks. This look also makes eyes look larger. 🌸 STEPS / TIPS 🌸 As usual, I’m skipping the Base step since that’s different for everyone! Apply bright pink only to the apples of your cheeks + nose. I’m used to applying blush underneath my eyes. I think it makes looks monochromatic, and helps cover under eye circles. Don’t do that for this look! Her blush really pops on her nose and cheeks- and looks almost doll-like. I use the e.l.f. - Beautifully Bare Blush . $3.99, has lasted me 2 years, and lasts all day. Use white eyeliner in lower waterline/lash This will make your eyes look big and doe-like. I used the NYX - Jumbo Eye Pencilin Milk. I don’t like using it as an eye primer. I also think it fades a little on the lash line- But it is very opaque, and comes with a lot of product ($4.50 for 0.18 oz). Use a sheer amount of warm pink base on the eyes. I applied primer, set it with clear powder, and then buffed a liiiitle bit of Soft Core from the COLOURPOP - Ooh La La! palette on the lid and lower lash. This will help your shimmer pop. Apply shimmer- And emphasize the inner eye. Apply a single pink shimmer shadow all over the lid, outer crease, and inner corner. I used the NYX - Love You So Mochi Eyeshadow Palette pale pink as the base. Then, I amped up the sparkles with the shade Tickled from the Colourpop palette. I really like the Mochi palette, and I hope Nyx brings back that formula. It’s like a cushion- when you touch it, it’s like you get a thin film of opaque, sparkly eyeshadow. I would buy it again if I lost it. The only con is it get’s dry/crumbly, but it’s still usable. Minimal to no product on the eyebrows! Just brush them up to look model-y! You could do soap brows to keep them in place. Add pink gloss. I combined the lip crayon LAQA & CO. - Cheeky Lip in Humble Bragwith ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - ANASTASIA Beverly Hills Lip Gloss, a more brown/pink gloss. Then, I used a Smith’s eucalyptus balm as clear gloss. For mascara, go for more volume than length! This is up to personal preference. But her lashes are so thick here, it basically replaced eyeliner. I used the essence - Lash Princess False Lash Effect Mascara It’s gorgeous and thick- a little clumpy, but I solve that problem by pressing clumps between my fingers. ⭐️ What are your favorite celebrity makeup looks? Rihanna and Emily Ratajkowski probably have my favorite looks.
😌Eye Primer = No More Creasing
When I first started doing makeup, I didn’t see the point of eyeshadow primer. But as I kept doing eyeshadow, I realized my eyelids were oily! After a few hours, my eyeshadow would form a weird crease in my eyelid fold. So I finally gave eye primer a chance, and it changed the game. Right now, I used the Wet n Wild eye primer- which only costs $5.49. 🌺 PRODUCT REVIEW: WHO IS THIS PRIMER BEST FOR ? 🌺 wet n wild - Photo Focus Eyeshadow Primer I’ve tried a lot of primers from Too Faced, Nyx, Smashbox and Urban Decay. Some are too thick and crease, while others are more pigmented to cover uneven eye tones. This Wet n Wild one stands out because: It’s so affordable It truly prevents eye creasing. It has a light tinted base (almost translucent), just the right amount to make eyeshadow pop more. This primer has a thin texture, making it comfortable on the eye. It dries in 20 seconds, so you have time to even it out. Honestly, it’s comparable to even some higher-end brands. 💄IN SUMMARY It’s for oily lids that need a brightening base. It’s not for people who want a primer that also acts like a concealer. 🌟 HOW TO APPLY IT 🌟 Do your foundation / base first. This helps if you want to even out your eye skin tone and cover under eye circles before eyeshadow. Put a pea-sized amount on your finger and apply to your eyelid. A thin layer will do for the WHOLE lid area. You can even take a little to the lower eye lid if you put shadow there. Using a finger helps this product melt in. (OPTIONAL) Apply a base eyeshadow color over primer. If you don’t like the whitish undertone to this primer, using a shadow that matches your skin tone will create a nice base for color- While still getting the anti- crease effect. FINALLY, apply your shadow like normal! 🌼 COMPARISON (PRIMER & NO PRIMER) 🌼 The eyeshadow on my primed eye is sliiightly more vibrant than the other one. But more importantly, it didn’t crease. The photo of my creased eye was taken 3 hours after application. I asked my sister if she saw a difference in my eyeshadow. I didn’t tell her which eye had primer, but she pointed at the primed eye and said it was more vibrant. Also notice the line on my eye crease. Indoors, it wasn’t creasing. But as soon as I stepped outside on a humid day, it started to break down. PS: WOW ring lights make a difference to noticing your makeup blend. Bonus pro tip from this post- use a ring light to see where you can blend more 😅 💐 What primers have you tried ? Are there any tricks you use to get the most of it ?
My Go To Products for Vibrant Makeup
I'm not a brand ambassador for Sugarpill, but they make such great vibrant makeup that I keep bringing them up in my reviews. Sugarpill came out with the Fun Size palette last year. 🐱 This palette alone has filled every need I have to do bright eyeshadow ever. Before this palette, the problem I had with a lot of bright / pastel shadows was that they were chalky. 😢 A lot of them had a white base, so they looked really ashy and draining on my skin. I don't know how Sugarpill did it, but this palette is nothing like that. I have used the shades Cheat Code, Player One, Level Up, and High Score the most. Even with a translucent primer, the color shows up pigmented. ❤️ Some colors, like High Score, don't show up 100% opaque on first application. But that's a good thing because it let's you tone it down to a watercolor pastel look if you want. The colors lasted all day on my eyes without fading. I even wore the orange pink look above to a dance festival, and it stood up through a LOT of spinning. To complete your look, you can opt for a subtle gloss. Or, you can go all out with the lip colors Sugarpill offers. 💄 In the third slide, I swatched their liquid lipstick in the shade "Cubby" on my arm. 🍊 It took only two swipes to reach that vibrancy and it dried down in two minutes. One more thing I love about Sugarpill: the adorable packaging. That may or may not have been what drew me to them... But at least it lead me to great makeup.
Eyeshadow: Liquid or Solid?
I think solid eyeshadow is more popular right now for one reason: you can make palettes with it. And palettes double as both artwork and as makeup. So liquid eyeshadows are a little neglected. But they both have their pros and cons. 🥥 Solid (Powder) Eyeshadow 🥥 ☀️ P R O S My Colourpop Oh La La palette has good quality solid shadows. The mattes and shimmers are pigmented, and they’re not patchy when blending. Plus, the packaging is compact. So you can take every color you could need for touch ups in one compartment. 🌧 C O NS It takes time to apply solid eyeshadow. You have to blend it with a brush, because using your fingers seems to make it stick to your eye more than mix together. You also need to apply primer before solid shadow to prevent fallout. 🍹 Liquid Eyeshadow 🍹 ☀️ P R O S I have a few liquid shadows. A golden urban Decay honey one, Stila’s “Dollish”, and Stila’s classic “Kitten" (comparable to tickled in the Colourpop palette) The first pro of liquid shadow is that for some, you won't need primer. Some formulas dry down quickly, and seem to have primer built in so they won't crease. You also don't need glitter glue- The stickiness that dries down seals in the glitter on it's own. Finally, it’s easy to blend liquid eyeshadow with your fingers. 🌧 C O N S You may have to work TOO quickly with liquid shadow. That makes it harder to blend if you get distracted while doing your look. It also takes more space if you only have liquid shadows to take with you in your bag. ⭐️ The Final Verdict ⭐️ I prefer liquid eyeshadow because I think it's easier to work with. It can also look more glossy than solid eyeshadow. But that doesn't mean I'm going to leave solid eyeshadow alone. When I want to do a complex eye look, I think palettes will meet that need.

Are These 26$ Lashes Worth it?
Recently I went to Ulta and picked out some quality lashes with the intent that I could get at least 30 wears out of a single pair. I typically get the 5 pack of the ARDELL - Cluster Wispies Demi Wispies and I usually get 2 wears out of each pair- so 10 wears total for around 12$ ($1.20/wear) I picked up the BLINKING BEAUTÉ - Faux Mink Luxe Innovative Lashes for 26$. They have a cotton band that is extremely flexible which makes application so easy! They’re also light in weight and don’t give your eye lids that annoying heavy feeling. These are said to give you around 30 wears which would come out to around $0.87/wear. So cheap!! These are 1000% worth the cost, even if I only get 20 wears. I think I’ve officially converted to higher end lashes and will definitely be giving some other brands a try!! **these are the “Brill” lashes and they would be perfect for people with smaller eyes- they’re also great for a more natural look since they’re not overwhelmingly long and just provide some volume at the base of the lashes. What are your favorite high end lashes?? Eye Look Details NATASHA DENONA - Glam Eyeshadow Palette essence - Lash Princess False Lash Effect Mascara (lately I’ve been feeling like this formula has changed, it gets much more clumpy/thick on my lashes than in the past) MARC JACOBS BEAUTY - Highliner Matte Gel Eye Crayon Eyeliner PAT McGRATH LABS - Backstage Eye-Con Kit
My new Products
Bought a couple new products in the last week I wanted to share. I have said multiple times, I feel like with dry skin, I have to sacrifice feeling clean, or leaving my skin feeling stripped. Soap and glory facial cleanser gave me both, my hope is the bodywash will too. Essence Mascara has been on my radar for a while, and I finally purchased it. Tresemme conditioner, I just fell in love with the corresponding shampoo, so I thought I would give it a shot too
Lunar Beauty Moon Spell
This is my very first palette from Lunar Beauty. If I'm being totally honest, I didn't need this palette — I can create similar looks from shadows already in my collection. But I really loved the packaging and the color story, and I had a Rouge Reward, so I went ahead and picked it up. I am really loving this palette! The thing I appreciate the most is that the color story encouraged me to try new things. Sure, I have plenty of purples and neutrals in my collection, and the greens and teals are similar to some I already have. But seeing these colors laid out this way encouraged me to play more with different color combinations And the packaging just always made me happy to pull this out and play. Is it something I would immediately run out and repurchase if I lost it? No, and that’s why I gave it 4 stars. But if you are drawn to the color story and packaging, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. All of the shades are decently pigmented, build easily, and blend well. It’s a fun palette that’s nice to have in my collection.

I Stan a Fabulous Cut Crease Look🤩
I was waaaaaay late to jump on the "cut crease" train. But, when I FINALLY tried it out...I was in love!!! I created this boldly gold cut creat look with one of my all time fave palletes: 24K Nudes by Maybelline (I used Revolution's Cut Crease Canvas to, well cut my crease...lol). Once I perfected the technique of cutting my crease, it was such an easy look to create. The colors on this pallete are a makeup addict's dream they have a creamy powdery formula. With very minimal pan kick back or fall out during application. And the colors are pigmented AF!! This item has been on the make scene for quite a while. But I hope it will NEVER be discontinued! This is one of my "ride or die" makeup items. Have you tried this pallete? Do you love a good cut-crease look? REVOLUTION - Cut Crease Canvas Eyeshadow Base

Sugar Crystals Violet Voss
This eyeshadow palette is stunning! Without primer it can be a bit pasty, I swatched the colors on my arm and it wasn’t as pigmented as it is when it’s applied on top of primer! But honestly these colors are everything! ❤️ Violet Voss - Sugar Crystals Eyeshadow Palette

Smokey Neutral Tutorial w/Jaclyn Hill Palette
Happy Saturday! I wanted to create a tutorial on a look that is wearable. I know colors and dramatic looks aren’t in everyone’s alley. I also wanted to make a tutorial with a popular palette so majority of you can re-create this look. I LOVE my OG Morphe X Jaclyn Hill palette. This used to be my go-to before ABH soft glam palette. I used this all the time. You can create a day time neutral look to a night time Smokey look with colors. The eyeshadows are so creamy, highly pigmented and buttery. This palette is also beginner-friendly because it is so easy to blend. I heard that Morphe changed the formula on this palette so I can’t speak on the newer ones, but the OG formula is UNREAL. MORPHE - Morphe x Jaclyn Hill Eyeshadow Palette I used: -Silk creme (transition) -Butter (crease) -Roxanne, Hunts and Mocha (outer crease) -SBN (lid) -Obsessed (inner corner and brow bone) -Roxanne, Mocha and Abyss (lower lash) -Essence lash princess mascara -UD liner pencil in zero I am wearing Dose of Colors gloss in Almond Butter I hope you find this tutorial helpful! Do you own this palette? What is your opinion on the formula change? Apparently it went from vegan to non-vegan (the new formula has carmine) Francesca 💋
