💖 Comparing two bestseller pink palettes
Two of the best pink palettes to come out of this decade are Anastasia Beverly Hill’s Soft Glam and the Huda Beauty New Nude palettes. But which one should you buy? After using both for a year, I would recommend each one for different reasons. 🌺 The ($65) New Nude palette’s best features are the sparkly shades like Daydream and Crave. I put them at the center of my eyelid to make them pop, and when the light hit, it looked like a pool of sparkles. We’re not talking about just shimmer. More like a collection of dazzling little pink and gold stars. The matte shades are a little dry, but you might like this if you have oily eyelids. They are buildable, though, so you can make soft or dramatic looks. I didn’t use the bold shades like Excite too much, but I did swatch them in my arm. I would recommend using the biggest glitters with the concealer that comes in the palette to make sure they adhere and stay eye safe! 🌸 Soft Glam’s best feature is how blendable it is. Unlike New Nude, Soft Glam packs a pigmented punch with one swatch. The eyeshadows are buttery to the touch, so someone who likes blending with their fingers might prefer this formula. This palette is more affordable at $42, and the colors have more variety. The pinks like Dusty Rose and Rose Pink were easy to blend, and Sultry (which has blue sparkles) makes for a sexy smoky eye. But if you want other colors, you can mix it with Cypress Umber or Bronze. There’s one catch with this soft formula: it’s easier to break. You can see the cracks in my palette. Still, I love it so much, I can’t throw it out! 🖤 So which one should you get? 🖤 If you like buttery, pigmented, pink AND nude shadows, get Soft Glam. If you want buildability, every shade of pink, and full glam, get New Nude. I picked up both, and I couldn’t be happier.
