My Nail Art Secret🧏🏼♀️
#CURIOUS.HANDS - nail polish wraps[products]#[FourStars] Yes! 👌🏽！I found a magic tool! Nail polish wrap —— the easiest nail art that you could have!!! 😊 Perfectly painting nails can be very challenging, nail polish wraps makes DIY nails more efficient and handy, we don’t have to mess our nails up anymore!!! 😄That‘s awesome for people who are not really good at DIY, like me! Who doesn't love terrazzo tiles in neutral tones?! It's simple yet gives off a fun graphic element that everyone should own one! Every set comes with 16 nail polish wraps, 1 cuticle pusher, 1 mini nail file and a guide on how to apply them. As you can see in the picture, I applied Top Coat for extra shine and lasting finishing✨ 📎How to perfectly apply nail stickers📎 ✔️You Will Need: nail file cuticle pusher small scissors set of nail stickers ✔️Steps: 1: Start with clean, dry nails. They should be completely bare of polish. Push back cuticles gently, too. 2: Most nail stickers on the market are pre-cut to match common nail shapes, but it’s always good to have small scissors handy just in case any decal is too large or slightly off shape. Often sets come with more than 10 stickers per set, so you should find one that fits each nail pretty well (and have extras in case you botch or tear one!) 3: For a perfect match, before you remove the backing, pre-measure the nail sticker on top of your nail. Saunders's hint for fitting to your nail beds? “Go larger if you’re in doubt, because you can always trim excess.” If necessary, pre-trim a decal before you stick it on—once it’s applied, it’ll be more difficult to get a clean cut. 4: Press on your nail sticker close to the cuticle and smooth it out toward the end. 5: After applying, there will be a "flap" of sticker at the tip of your nail. Use your file downward along tip of nail to remove the extra, taking care not to file on top of sticker! If you accidentally file too much you'll see your nail showing through at the tip. But don't take sticker off, just yet! For an easy fix, says Saunders, just add a little polish in a shade that matches sticker, right along the edge as needed. 6: The final trick to keeping stickers put is to "iron" them! Push and pull your thumb down onto each nail, from cuticle to tip. The heat generated from the "ironing" effect will help them last longer! And, “You don't need a top coat or gel over the sticker!” says Saunders. 7: Depending on the directions listed on the your stickers, you'll either peel them off or remove with regular polish remover.
Hair Length - To be long or short ? 🤷🏻♀️
Let me give me y’all some background on my hair! Growing up I had one rule - DO NOT CUT YOUR HAIR ☠️! I grew up in a very traditional Latino household and short hair was associated with boys and not “pretty young girls!” 🥴 So I went through all of my K-12 school experience with long hair! It was not until college that I decided to take control over my life and I chopped off tons of inches off my hair with an added layer element to it! The picture on the right is me in college with my short to medium hair length and loving every bit of it! It was such a relief to have shorter hair! The perks are beyond what I could have expected! Showers were shorter, hairstyles were easier to manage, pony tails looked cute with the layers going in every directions, and of course it helped tremendously with the east coast summer heat 🌞! But alas like with every change I also experienced FOMO with my long locks! That was the last time I made such a dramatic haircut and I’ve been growing my hair out since that moment! I give myself a trim every few weeks to ensure I have the healthiest hair growing along. The picture on the left is a recent picture! As you can see my hair is ALMOST back to its original length! Yes! My pre-cut hair was longer than what I have now 😱! I love my length and I love how full it looks when I ass waves to it or how long and shiny it looks when straight. I currently have virgin long wavy hair and I am 100% okay with it! To be honest I don’t want to cut my hair that short any time soon. The only thing I would consider is changing the color to my a lighter brunette shade 💁🏻♀️. I think both lengths and style fit my face well since I have an oval face and someone once told me that’s the face shape that goes with the most hairstyles and lengths. I have a fair complexion as well, so I feel like my long dark locks gives me the extra elegant effect (if I do say so myself 😆)! My lifestyle is very easy going since I work in a school and my personal life is manageable hence why the long hair never gets in the way of me doing what I need to do! And when I do go out to the gym or hike, a messy bun is the way to go! In the end, I am 100% in love with my current long locks but will also be okay in the future if I decide to chop a good 6-8 inches off! 💇🏻♀️
Beach body with traditional wax
Yes, I know this is not what they mean by beach body – but I do associate summer, the sea, the pool with waxing, waxing and then more waxing. Because it feels that since spring until fall, there is a lot of it going on! Technically, if you use traditional wax, like I do, it should be enough to wax every three weeks or so, depending on your preferences or how fast your hair grows. However, if you have very dark hair and white skin, like I have, you might even need to do it sooner. I prefer hard, elastic wax which needs to be warmed up before applying to the skin. For the application I use a wooden spatula that is just the perfect size. So, what happens is that I heat up the beads on the stove. It takes literally less than 2 minutes and this is something I really like about this wax. I use a titanium dioxide wax, it doesn’t really matter what brand, I was pleased with mostly every type I’ve got. The titanium dioxide wax is great for sensitive skin, makes my skin smooth and soft and I like it a lot. After the wax is warm enough, I take it off the stove and wait for a few more minutes until it cools down a bit, so it doesn’t burn the skin. Then I start applying the wax using the wooden spatula, in the direction of the hair growth. This type of wax doesn’t need a paper strip to remove (another thing I like a lot about it!). So, once the wax hardens a bit, I remove it pulling it in the opposite direction of the hair growth. While it might sound complicated, it actually takes like 4 minutes to do the armpits and a little more to do the legs or arms. For the upper lip waxing you only need one or two applications and it is done within minutes. It’s not overly messy either, once you get the hang of it. I use it a lot and prefer it to other methods.
