For the skin care : I am addicted to certain products such as the Ordinary brand and LaNeige. Here is some products that i bought from sephora and helped me a lot. The green tea face mask gaves me a radiance to the face and especially a softness.
For the makeup: I fell in love with Milk's blush, it gives a natural look and it’s very cute. I didn’t like very much the mascara, it did its job but not more than i expect. The photo finish primer from Smashbox gives you smooth skin and reduces pores, but I haven't seen a big difference in the redness of pimples for example

I have been trying to figure out the best way to take control of my skincare routine. My main concern is the texture of my skin, redness, blackheads on my nose, & large pores on my cheeks. I believe I have combination skin. It can’t often get oily or dry. I’d like any advice having to do with Cerave or The Ordinary. I currently am cleansing my face each morning & night with CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser I like this cleanser, but am wondering if I should try out some other Cerave facial cleansers for my skin. In the morning I use CeraVe - AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion SPF 30 In the evening I moisturize with CeraVe - PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion Occasionally, I use the The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution but I don’t think I have used it consistently enough & often enough to tell a difference. I’ve read that this is good for blackheads on your nose & to use it two nights a week. I have also used The Ordinary - Salicylic Acid 2% Masque but haven’t used it enough to notice a difference. I’d like to look into trying a few more products to help rejuvenate my skin & give my skin care routine a “facelift” 😉 Any advice or opinions would be wonderful. Thank you! Products I’d like to try include: CeraVe - Resurfacing Retinol Serum I would like to introduce a retinol into my routine. CeraVe - Eye Repair Cream I often get dry under eyes, eye lids, & puffiness. The Ordinary - Lactic Acid 10% + HA I read this was good for textured skin & blackheads. The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% Thank you in advance! ✨
Heyyy so a few months ago my skin exploded in breakouts. I had relatively clear skin before I started taking birth control (I’m like 79% sure that’s what caused my breakouts not 100% tho) Anyways I am still getting the occasional few pimples but I am mostly left with a bunch of scars and some texture. I still do get some pimples and zits as well. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on what I should do to help my skin. Thank you so much! My current routine is Am CeraVe - Hydrating Face Cleanser For Normal To Dry Skin I have been using apple cider vinegar as toner #Pearl essence - Vitamin c[products]# CeraVe - AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion SPF 30 Pm The same cleanser as am CeraVe - PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion I also just started The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solutionwhich I will do once a week!
Sephora face masks
It’s been a very busy week and weekend where I barely had time to relax. Taking care of your skin is hard when your constantly working. I only had enough time to quickly use a face mask. Which is why, I wanted to share my thoughts on these face masks I used. Pearl mask: I love the after effect of this mask. My skin was glowing for a long time after I applied this mask. SEPHORA COLLECTION - Face Mask Pearl Brightening Green tea: This was not bad but if I absolutely had to buy a mask then I would maybe avoid it. It had a wierd sticky feeling to it (probably the green tea)SEPHORA COLLECTION - Face Mask Green Tea Mattifying Rose mask: I loved this mask. It came as a recommendation from my friend. She wore it on the the plane to avoid dry skin and told me to try it. Absolutely fabulous! And it smell so great. I felt like I was getting a spa. SEPHORA COLLECTION - Face Mask Rose Moisturizing
ingredient spotlight Green Tea 🍵. . Antioxidant (my favourite) Anti inflammatory Pore-unclogger My favourite green tea product right now is boscia matcha superfood mask, it applies like a clay and makes my skin feel purified after use with its great oily-skin benefits. The tannins in matcha/green tea are natural astringents- so if you find a green tea toner, you know it’ll be great for your oily skin too! pixi beauty peel-off mask contains avocado for hydration and nutrition and green tea for purifying your pores and the boscia green tea blotting papers help absorb oils and keep your skin from being too shiny. And I love Sephora green tea face mask because its calming and anti inflammatory properties calm down some of my redness 😁 . . .

Minty eyes 🌿
It was cloudy day today and I wanted to experiment with greens, I wanted to do something bold and bright. I usually never reach for greens but I have a colorful eyeshadow palette and looking at the colors males me want to use them. I ended up with a dewy minty eye look. For primer (not pictured) I used touch in sol glassy balm primer. It hydrate my skin and makes it look dewy. touch in SOL - Pretty Filter Glassy Skin Balm For foundation I used the pūrlisse youth glow vitamin C CC cream spf 50 in Fair. I got this in my Ipsy bag a couple months ago and I’ve been loving it. pūrlisse - Youth Glow Vitamin C CC Cream SPF 50 Concealer I used a cult classic, NARS radiant creamy concealer in vanilla. This is one of my favorites. It gives me a natural look. NARS - Radiant Creamy Concealer For brows I used my absolute favorite brow pencil and it’s the elf instant brow pencil. I’ve been using this for years and it’s the one I always come back to. Super affordable too! e.l.f. - Instant Lift Brow Pencil BH cosmetics take me back to Brazil palette- I love this palette. So many different colors to choose from and really pigmented. bh - Take Me Back to Brazil 35 Color Pressed Pigment Palette I used my essence eyeliner pen in young and free (pastel yellow). It’s a super cute color. I decided to add some dots to the outer edge of my green eyeshadow. essence - essence Eyeliner Pen I used milk makeup kush mascara and it’s really nice. It separates my lashes and makes them look longer too. Milk MAKEUP - KUSH High Volume Mascara I used Sephora collection gel lip liner in creme de la creme to line my lips a little bit. SEPHORA COLLECTION - Rouge Gel Lip Liner For my lips I used glossier’s vinylic lip in the shade disco. It’s like a terra cotta/orangey tint to it. It’s my first time using it and I’m already in love. It also has some shine to it so my lips won’t be dehydrated. Glossier. - Vinylic Lip High Shine Lacquer For blush I used glossier’s cloud paint in dawn, it’s a orangey sunny coral color. I used a little bit of this and it’s super pretty. I love it. Glossier. - Cloud Paint Seamless Cheek Color

Reflecting on 2020
2020 is coming to a close. I think we are all very hopeful for a better 2021. 2020 has been challenging year. But, as hard as it has been for me having a newborn & a toddler at home during two lockdowns now (Ontario is officially locked down today again), it has also given me LOTS of time with my kids, a HUGE appreciation for stay at home moms, and appreciating all the things I took for granted like seeing friends & family at Christmas. Here’s my @cherie2020 Top 5 1. Product My favourite has been SUNDAY RILEY - Good Genes Glycolic Acid Treatment I received it in a sample bag from Sephora and was blown away by the results. It’s a 7 % lactic acid treatment in a milky serum consistency. It also contains licorice root extract. You really can notice it smooth & brighten your skin in 3 minutes! I haven’t bought the full size yet. It retails for $112 CAD for 1oz. But when my sample runs out I think this one is worth the money! (The sample is .25oz and I’ve been using it once a week for about 6 weeks and I might have one use left) 2. Trend Does Vitamin C count as a trend? I only started my skincare journey 6 months ago. I didn’t really know anything about skincare ingredients. Now I’ve bought two Vitamin C serums, an eye cream, and face wash! Vitamin C is powerful antioxidant that helps give you brighter, tighter, and overall more radiant looking skin. I definitely have noticed a difference since starting use to Vitamin C serums! VERSED - STROKE OF BRILLIANCE Brightening Serum SUNDAY RILEY - C.E.O. Rapid Flash Brightening Serum(haven’t started using) OLE HENRIKSEN - Banana Bright Eye Crème OLE HENRIKSEN - Truth Juice Daily Cleanser 3. Best Look My best book would have to be my everyday 5 minute natural make-up look (see earlier post). Before I started my skincare journey in the summer, I was maybe washing my face in the shower and putting on lotion. Definitely no make-up. I looked tired and dull. Now I take care of my skin, so even without make-up I look brighter and I also take 5 minutes to put on a little make-up, even if it is just to walk the kids to the park and it makes me feel a lot better about my appearance. CLINIQUE - Moisture Surge Sheertint Hydrator Broad Spectrum SPF 25 SEPHORA COLLECTION - Bright Future Gel Serum Concealer Milk MAKEUP - Lip + Cheek CLINIQUE - High Impact Lash Elevating Mascara CLINIQUE - Just Browsing Brush-on Styling Mousse 4. Favourite Creator on Cherie I might be biased because I won a great giveaway from her, but I really love following @JadesJourney I really enjoy her intersection between skincare and wellness. Check her out! 5. Something I learned The biggest thing I learned this year is not only can I find the time everyday to take care of my skin but that I look forward to it! Happy New Year!
a couple of holiday looks
I’m not a huge eye makeup kinda person, I usually lean more towards the natural side (mostly because I’m pretty bad at eye makeup and end up making my eyes look smaller). I tried out a few looks for Christmas Eve dinner and I finally chose the most natural look, the second picture. Although I would never really wear a dramatic, sparkly eye look out in public, it’s fun to play around with makeup while I’m stuck at home. I mostly used a palette that my friend got me in China, but here are the other products I used for my look: Glossier. - Perfecting Skin Tint Glossier. - Stretch Concealer BOBBI BROWN - Eyeshadow Milk MAKEUP - Lip + Cheek BOBBI BROWN - BOBBI BROWN Bronzing Powder BOBBI BROWN - Shimmer Brick Highlighter BOBBI BROWN - Long-Wear Cream Shadow Stick laura mercier - Translucent Loose Setting Powder #Burt’s Bees - Nourishing Eyeliner Pencil[products]#[FiveStars] COVERGIRL - LashBlast Volume Mascara
My first empties review ! I knew I wanted to try the laneige brand but didn’t know where to start really. Best way in that case => KIT !!!!! I grabbed the « HYDRATATION TO GO -normal to dry skin ». -The cleanser is fine , it was gentle for my skin. Like that it’s foam a little. -The water sleeping mask I DID NOT LIKE ! I love thick moisturizer that leave my skin with a feeling of being really hydrated. It didn’t do it for me with this one. -The hydro-essence though was gooood. It’s a game changer for me. Right before putting the moisturizer it gives more hydratation to my thirsty ass skin. 😝 -The water bank moisturizer was ok. Nothing crazy but not bad. -The lip sleeping mask is AMAZING !!! If you don’t have it you are truly missing on something !
Laneige Moisturizing Cream Cleanser
LANEIGE - Moisturizing Cream Cleanser I bought this cream cleanser as part of a travel kit that Laneige has available at Sephora. Having it for a few weeks has given me sufficient time to get an idea on how this product works and whether it garners results or not. Upon application on damp skin, the thick and sticky cream slowly dissolved to a slicker and smoother consistency. After cleansing my face and removing the product with lukewarm water, my face felt moisturized and a little more hydrated. With this cleanser, I ended up seeing some results with consistent use. While my skin has remained balanced, I don’t know if I should attribute that to just this cleanser. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to try it that does not have oily or sensitive skin, but I would NOT recommend it as a holy grail for moisture.
JELLY!? For your face!? Yes please! 💁🏻♂️
Okay so I’m trying my hand at a many “non mask” masks these days and when I spotted this colorful little container filled with a jelly like consistency I was instantly confused and curious and knew I had to try it! I didn’t think this was going do anything but make me feel like Winnie the Pooh, all sticky and sweet but seconds after application I was hooked. The tingling sensation from the ginger, I assume, was super gratifying. I was also afraid the turmeric was gonna dye my face orange like it does my fingers when I cook but there was no trace what so ever and the vitamin c content was just enough to not overpower the glorious smells of spices. I was like, okay yes!!! It says to leave on 10 minutes but I could have kept it on longer for sure! When I wiped it clean I instantly saw brightness and tightness in my pores as well as a much softer complexion then I had the day before! I must say this jelly was a pleasant surprise and I can understand why they say use up to three times a week on the packaging! It’s like a soft kiss for your face, which who doesn’t love! Can anyone help me with skin tone?
I have such a hard time figuring out what my skin tone is to try to match it with foundation. My veins look blue through my skin. I don’t spend much time in the sun, so my skin is light. Honestly, any help would be appreciated. For some reason matching foundation has always been difficult for me. Should it be a little darker than my skin? ALSO: in case you’re looking for some of the cutest spa/beauty headbands, this ADORABLE kitty one is I DEW CARE - White Cat Headband and I love it!

THE MOST REALISTIC PERFECTING SKIN CARE ROUTINE
I have been on my skin care journey for 4 years and finally found products that will REALISTICALLY PERFECT your skin. Taking into account diet, genetics, environment and hormonal imbalances, this is the most realistic skin care routine I created for my combination/oily, enlarged pores, pimple prone, textured skin. Your skin will in NO WAY become as smooth as your favourite Snapchat filter but it comes CLOSE. I used to have bumps and redness all over my cheekbones and jaw area, tiny white head like bumps infested on my forehead and chin which bothered me for YEARS. Today, they are mostly gone. I am prone to pimples when hormonal changes occur and NGL I will pick at them, leaving even bigger pimples or dark scarring as well as hyperpigmentation around my mouth and eyes. I also DO have some small pimples throughout my face, and blackheads. These products have changed my life. I wash my face in the morning with either The Ordinary Squalene cleanser or Garnier skin active tea tree face wash. I apply the Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid serum on immediately after washing my face so the product will soak in and go about my day with just that. My skin is hydrated throughout the day. In the evening after my work day or before bed, I will wash my face with either of the mentioned face cleansers and apply Glossier Solution with a dropper instead of cotton pad (less product waste), a couple of drops of The Ordinary lactic acid solution, a few drops of niacinamide and once a week, topping it off with The Body Shop’s Vitamin E over night mask. This formulation of products has completely transformed the way my skin looks and feels. No more excessive bumps and redness on my face, my skin is smooth as it’s ever been, blemishes and dark spots fade more and more each night I apply these products and my skin is super bouncy and glowy without any makeup or product. When using any acid treatments please be sure to use them in conjunction with sunscreen to protect your skin after applying these products. Do not expect your skin to become facetuned with these products. Everyone’s skin types are different, genetics plays a huge part in what your skin looks and feels like, your work and home environment, having pets and your diet affect your skin too. BUT DAMN THIS SHIT WILL MAKE YOUR SKIN LOOK GOOD GORL 🤪

Morning Routine for Glowing Skin
🌸⚡️🌸DISCLAIMER: my skin is currently red from waxing it yesterday🌸⚡️🌸 🌸⚡️🌸This is also my face without any product on to show how well it makes your face naturally glow! 🌸The Ordinary is the main brand I use and let me tell you they are so amazing!! If you haven’t tried anything from them, I highly suggest you do! 🌸Products I use in order! 🌸Squalene Cleanser: ⚡️I really like this cleanser because it leaves your face extremely soft! It definitely doesn’t remove all makeup when I use it at night, but it does a good job. If you have extreme acne though, you will have to pair this with another cleanser. 🌸Hylamide (ordinary): Pore Flush ⚡️This is a spray that literally CLEANS your pores out. I spray this on and rub my hands. When I take my hands off my face they are covered in blackheads. I highly recommend this! 🌸Niacinamide 10% and Zinc: ⚡️I thought this wasn’t making a difference in my skin until I started only using it once a day. I always use it twice a day now as I feel like it keeps my pores and bumps from acting up. 🌸Azelaic Acid: ⚡️Let me tell you all, this is the BEST PRODUCT EVER for red skin. My cheeks used to be extremely red and this cream literally cancels out the redness completely. This is my favorite product. 🌸Milani Prep and Brighten Rose Oil: ⚡️This oil is a bit greasy so be careful with it. I usually mix it in with my moisturizer to combat that, but otherwise it provides such a pretty glow on your face. 🌸Moisturizing Factors: ⚡️This moisturizer is THE BEST moisturizer I have ever used. Not only does it moisture my face, but it calms it and helps prevent acne. This moisturizer is literally amazing. Any questions just ask! Thanks for reading 💖
The Ordinary-Azelaic Acid Suspension 10%
Review of this known as "THE WORLD'S MOST POWERFUL FACIAL MASK" It is a bit tricky to use. You really need to get the right formula for your skin to love it and see the good benefits. I tried using it with apple cider vinegar alone but gave me a few break outs on my cheeks and jawline. This is after using it twice in a week and rinse it off after 15 minutes even if it is not yet completely dry. I find it most effective if I mix it with apple cider, water and few drops of tea tree oil. I leave it on my face until I feel my face pulsate and dries up completely. It is a bit hard to rinse off once the mask hardens and my face turns red afterwards but goes away after a few minutes. This mask has a cooling effect, I can feel that my pores and face tightened after rinsing. My face felt to smooth to touch and looking so dewy. My only issue is that it can get really messy. Other than that this mask will stay in my beauty routine! Highly recommended 👍and I got this from iherb.
