Eczema? Dermatitis? Acne? Over exfoliating?
I was wondering if anyone knew what these bumps on my face were. I started getting these small bumps on my jawline About a month and a half ago. Since then the small patch of bumpiness has started to spread and make an even larger patch. As you can see from the photo my skin has a chicken skin texture around the rough bumpy patch which also calls for concern because as it spreads I’m realizing that it looks like the otherwise smooth “chicken skin” is the first step for the more developed bumps on my face. When the bumpy patch first appeared I was using my regular CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin, a moisturizer and a sunscreen as my morning routine(with 2x a week salicylic acid pads). For my PM routine I was using my CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skinand aThe Ordinary - 100% Organic Cold Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil(with 2x a week The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution). Very simple regimen and the only new product at the time was the glycolic acid. Anyways I have since added another new product to my regimen(The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%) but these bumps started even before the new product so I’m thinking it probably has more to do with the glycolic acid even though I’ve been using that for months. I just don’t know what to call it and because I don’t know what it is I don’t know how to treat it. Is it regular acne? is it eczema? is this a sign of over exfoliation? How do I get rid of it? I did a clay mask two days ago and have only used salicylic acid and I am laying off on the glycolic acid for this week to see if anything improves. I don’t know what to do because it seems even though I haven’t use the glycolic it continues to get worse and I’m breaking out in other parts of my face too.

I need help on how to use these products!
If someone can give me a hand on how to use these.... pppplllleeeaaassseee
Hi everyone! This is my first time posting on here so I’m not too sure if anyone will actually read this but if anyone does, I would really appreciate the advice! I recently purchased the Cerave PM moisturizer because the ingredients seemed amazing and I was super excited. I love the texture and really enjoy applying this but for some reason it has been causing me a lot of redness (specifically around my cheeks and nose). I also feel minor stinging and tenderness to the touch. I’m not too sure why this could be as most of the ingredients are already familiar to my skin (I’ve been using hyaluronic acid and niacinamide in the morning for months). In case there is another red flag in my routine that could be causing this, I can share current PM skincare routine! • LUSH - Ultrabland I use this as a cleansing balm on nights when I double cleanse (I know it’s not the best but I want to finish my tub before buying a new one). •DERMA•E - Anti-Wrinkle Cleanser I don’t mind this but I think I’d like to try out a more gentle cleanser once I run out of this! •The Ordinary - ''Buffet'' I really enjoy this serum but I’m not too sure if I’ve seen many results after using it for about 2 months. •The Ordinary - Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG Amazing for under eyes! • CeraVe - PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion Still figuring out if my skin can handle this but I was previously using The Ordinary - Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA and I really enjoy this moisturizer, but I think I would prefer a gel consistency similar to the Cerave one. •The Ordinary - 100% Organic Cold Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil I don’t fully know what this does for my skin but I absolutely love using it. It has never clogged my pores or caused me to be more oily in the morning like other oils have. Not to mention how amazing it feels on your skin! Thank you so much for reading and taking the time to try to help!

Hello! I’m in need of urgent assistance. I’ve done absolutely everything I can think of and I don’t have the money to continue spending on expensive products that don’t work! I used to have very bad cystic acne and am now on medication for that. Right now, I’m dealing with fungal acne on the forehead, and some persistent pimples along my cheeks and by my nose and chin. I have oily/combo skin, primarily in the T-zone and I’m a college student, so my under eye bags are awful. I have pictures of my morning routine and my nighttime routine. Please help and give suggestions on what products I should discard/keep or which products I should try!! Thanks so much!
New addition to my night routine
So far I have only used this product for a little less than a week, but I am already seeing results. Of course, only time will tell if this product will make a lasting effect on my skin. The first few nights I experienced some purging, but after that, the product seems to calm any inflammation overnight. I did decide to eliminate The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%. I wasn’t loving the way it felt on my skin and couldn’t tell if it was truly doing much. I thought since my face wash CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skinand night moisturizer CeraVe - Skin Renewing Night Cream both have niacinamide that the ordinary was a bit unnecessary. We’ll see how my current PAULA'S CHOICE - 10% Azelaic Acid Boosterand PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA (Salicylic Acid) Liquid Exfoliatorcombination works. 🙏🏼🤞🏼

TONERS VS. TONICS! WHAT SHOULD YOU USE?
let's clear some things up so you know what's right for your routine! the world of skincare continues to grow so it's in your best interest to do research and make sure you're using products that are good for you not because of hype! toners & tonics are both great skincare pick me ups but which one is for you? PLEASE DONT HESITATE TO ASK QUESTIONS! WHAT IS A TONER? toners are used after cleansing and take away left behind residue that your cleanser couldn't get to. It acts as a primer of your skin care routine so it can help prep for all the other products that will be used in your routine. some toners even help balance the skin's pH levels & minimize the LOOK of pores (doesn't actually shrink your pores that's impossible!) lastly, it can help with exfoliation to create a softer supple look to your skin! all of which are great but what if you don't need to exfoliate everyday cause you have drier skin? well.... WHAT IS A TONIC? even though the lines get blurred there are differences between toners and tonics. so speaking on tonics, I think of this as a first layer of moisture rather than exfoliation like a toner. tonics give a boost of moisture and help maintain hydration in the skin. they can aid in rejevunating tired, dull skin types. no SHAME! we all have bad skin days. SO... WHAT DO I USE? as I said before toners and tonics do have a lot in common but they have some soft differences so the biggest recommendation I can give is: - LOOK AT INGREDIENTS! - KNOW YOUR SKIN TYPE! - EXFOLIATION VS. HYDRATION! EXAMPLES: (both products are vegan, cruelty & alchol free) The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution VERY POPULAR! Glycolic Acid offers exfoliating benefits also contains properties of aloe vera & ginseng for soothing moisture maintained. This is a great product but you NEED to use it carefully! This will TONE & BALANCE the skin. PACIfICA - Vegan Collagen Hydrating Milk Tonic NEW RELEASE! Vegan collagen supports skin elasticity while antioxidants & Hyaluronic Acid boosts and maintains hydration in the skin. This product is a new release but poses great benefits for those with drier skin! Mainly, take the time to get to know your skin. The world of skincare is growing by the MINUTE! The best kind of routine is one that you can create & trust on your own.
Want clearer and radiant skin ? Purchase this!!
Price : 8.50 My wallet is happy :-) The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution First and foremost, glycolic acid is an exfoliant. It helps shed dead skin cells and reveal the newer, brighter layers underneath by acting on the stratum corneum (the outermost layer of skin). ... And by stimulating collagen production, it helps skin feel firmer and minimizes fine lines and wrinkles. I replaced witch hazel for this toner . I’m already seeing an improvement . Pores are smaller and my skin looks less dull. Benefits: Target textural irregularities, signs of congestion, uneven skin tone, and signs of aging PH 3.5 - 3.7 Cruelty-free & Vegan Does not contain alcohol, gluten, nuts, oil, silicone, parabens, sulfates I only use this in the PM. You shouldn’t use if you have broken or sensitive skin . Does give a tingly sensation but for less than a minute .

What do I need to add ?
So I am new here, and I only got to know about The Ordinary products only recently too. I went to the stores today and randomly picked these ones. I don’t know what I need to add, or even the routine to adhere to. So please kindly help me bring my confidence back. Thanks to you all amazing people 🙏🏽
Niacinimide problem help!!
Does this happen to anyone else?? The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% I apply the ordinary niacinimide to my face and then apply cerave moisturizer but my fingers end up super dry after? This only happens with niacinimide and I don’t understand? I’ve gotten small bumps on my fingers that can be popped and clear water comes out and the only product I use the most that causes this on my hands is the niacinimide I feel like i don’t have the same problem on my face. It does help out my face to some extent but I don’t see a huge difference. anyone else have the same problem or have had the same problem?
I’m tired of acne
Hi everyone! So, this is the first post I’m making, and of course I’m extremely nervous showing images of my skin. I’ve struggled with acne for 4.5 ish years and there were times where it got so good! Then it came back and I broke out.. But first I want to tell a story, so a month or so ago my mom went to walmart and picked me up clean and clear (I know!) I knew it was a sucky brand but I used it anyway because I figured that that salicylic acid has to have some effect, and it did, but not the right one... My skin started to purge so bad! I know that skin purging is necessary to getting clear skin so it was whatever, but my skin didn’t end up clearing at all, I was getting daily pimples even after the purging breakout. I ditched the product thank god, but I’m still suffering. My current routine is what was tagged in the first above photo I attached of my acne, but I am working on getting better things. I’m planning on ditching my toner and possibly my hyaluronic acid, but mostly my clean&clear moisturizer. I’m also currently using 5% benzoyl peroxide and 1% clindamicyn, doctor prescribed, that I’ve been using for years (new tub though.) If anyone has any recommendations for moisturizer and spf that would be amazing or any products that worked for you. Or even any suggestions for ways to get rid of my acne faster, anything would be so appreciated! Thank you if you’ve read this far. My apologies if there are any run on sentences or misplaced commas or semicolon, I’m only 14 haha. :)

I just took a vacation this past week and returned home with horrible mask-acne from having to wear it all day during my plane rides. I’m starting two new products today. I’m planning to update on how they’re working for me at the end of the month. The two new products are : BURT’S BEES - Natural Acne Solutions Targeted Spot Treatment The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% With these two new products I will be continuing to use some GARNIER - SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water with Rose Water

Hey everybody! I recently joined this app and I’m so happy I did. I just started using these products on my normal to oily skin. Before this, I used to use DIFFERIN - Daily Refreshing Cleanser and OXY - Acne Medication With Benzoyl Peroxidebut I felt like it wasn’t doing the job. The first slide is my daily and nightly routine. The second slide is the face masks I use about once a week. I also use DIFFERIN - Acne Treatment Gel as a spot treatment, but I forgot to include it in the photo🤦♀️. The pads in the second slide only come in handy if I have a major breakout on my face (they do the job) and I only use the pad in that area. Otherwise, the Clearasil - Rapid Rescue Deep Treatment Pads are too strong for me and sting. Please give me all of your feedback! I love hearing from others and I want to make sure I’m on the right track❤️ @cherie
The Ordinary-AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution
I need new products to try out. Pls help :(
Hey guys! I’ve been struggling with acne and pores my whole life and it’s been getting better since the last few years as I’ve been starting to buy more and more products that have been helping with my acne and my skin. Tbh I’m not even sure what my skin is. Sometimes it’s oily, sometimes it’s dry and sometimes it has a combination of both. So when skin care specialists or dermatologists ask what type of skin I have I really don’t know how to answer them. I think I mainly have oily skin since after a day out I would be sweating my make up off. I’ve been switching my products a lot. I started my skin care journey with neutrogena products. Their oily acne prone cleanser with their acne spot treatments and their toner. I didn’t see much change in my skin so switched my cleanser to clean and clear acne cleanser. That didn’t seem to work out either but I’m currently using ✨urban skin rx cleansing bar for oily ✨thayers witch hazel toner (fragrance free) ✨stridex salicylic acid 2% w/ acne medication pads (easy on skin, tough on acne one) (I use it every night) ✨the ordinary AHA 30% peeling solution ( once a week) ✨CeraVe moisturizing cream for Normal to dry Skin I have seen a change in my face by using these products but I still seem to have large pores around my cheeks and dark spots and acne scars and I’m also looking for a different cleanser since I’m not too sure how gentle the cleansing pads can be from the urban rx skin bar ones.
This was the first time using this peel and it was a bit uncomfortable. I lasted about 4 min with the mask on my face as it felt uncomfortable. Is this normal? I have acne prone oily skin so I really wanted to try this great reviewed mask. I might wait a few weeks try it again! Advice? The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution
