It is between elegance and cute💓You can never go wrong with it!
It is between elegance and cute💓You can never go wrong with it!
Summer is the best season to change manicure style, and the season I most frequent the manicure salon. I prefer gel manicure, since it lasts longer and always stays shiny! Keep on note to wear sun cream on hands before put your hands into UV light if you don’t wanna get tanned!   Pink ombre nails is my frequent wear in summer, it looks more special than crème and not too stand out if you still need to work or school. Pink ombre is at the perfect balance between elegance and cute, suitable for any age or any occasions. More important, it’s the best match for whatever you wear! Jeans, OK! Evening dress, OK! Business suit, OK! T-shirt, OK!   Since it’s a simple style, the time for doing it doesn’t take long, if you have done the filing, it takes only 30 minutes, including the time for UV light. If you start from the first beginning, it might need 50 minutes. The cost is quite fair, with around $20 or up, if you wanna put on some ornament, it charges as well.   The shape designed for my manicure is soft square, with square shape and softer edges, which is my favourite shape ever! Because I don’t wanna my nails grow too long, as it’s quite disturbing if I cook or type. Square shape requires longer nails, but softer square only needs medium long nails. It remains the elegance and convenience in daily life at the same time! Soft square also doesn’t pick colours, but if your nails is too short and wide, you might need to choose darker or bolder colour.

💅🏻 Gel manicures: do's and don'ts! For beginners!
💅🏻 Gel manicures: do's and don'ts! For beginners!
At-home manicure sounds a lot of fun, but some common nail polish mistakes may ruin EVERYTHING! Here're the top 4 mistakes beginners usually make while applying gel polish and the effective ways to fix them. Common mistakes to avoid: Repeatedly paint on the same place of your nail with the gel brush, leading to heavy marks on the nail surface. Apply another layer before the base coat dries completely, causing pesky bubbles in your nail polish finish. Only apply one coat of nail polish, relatively making the color saturation of your nails low and inaesthetic. Apply too many coats on your nails, making gel polish overflows on your skin or cuticles. This will cause the gel polish to peel. The effective fixing ways: Swipe the brush in a straight line from the base to the tip of your nail. Do not paint back and forth repeatedly in one place. For a nice and even manicure, apply one to three thin layers of polish. Be patient, and don't expect to apply all coats at once, because it will make it difficult to dry and easily overflow the nail edge. Make sure that you wipe off excess polish from your skin and cuticles BEFORE curing. I recommend you remove the overflowing polish quickly once you get the product on your skin, as the gel polish can sometimes dry quickly and make it difficult to clean a few minutes later. Get a nice nail polish kit with all the nail tools you need. Even though you may not do your mani at home frequently, it is always worthy of getting a decent nail polish kit as some products inside are really helpful for not only gel manicure fixing but also daily nail care routine. For starters, I recommend Sally Hansen - Salon Gel Polish Starter Kit. This kit can be found in drugstores and includes literally everything you need. The LED curing lamp inside is the one I love the most, helping the polish dry quickly. The price is $70 on Walmart. Considering its high quality and various nail tools, it's worth the price point! Hope you guys find these tips helpful! Love you all xxx!

Halloween Vibes😈Full face drugstore makeup tutorial!
Halloween Vibes😈Full face drugstore makeup tutorial!
Not your Barbie girl tonight! This Halloween, I want to do something special. 😎 Instead of the common costumes like witch or vampire, I will get myself a punk look! Here's my easiest way to do a Bratz grunge makeup. Base makeup:  Start makeup on a clean "canvas". After washing my face well, pat it dry, then apply a lightweight face primer such as MAYBELLINE - Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser Primer to blur my large pores. Then I'll use my rf beauty sponge to apply a full coverage foundation to hide all spots and blemishes on my cheeks, and I recommend MAYBELLINE - Fit Me Matte + Poreless Liquid Foundation, which is an affordable drugstore product but lasts pretty long and easy to blend.  Brow makeup: I'd like to intensify the hue of my brows with e.l.f. - Beautifully Bare Sheer Tint Brow Gel that's one color lighter than my hair.  Eye makeup: A smokey eye is a key to a successful punk makeup, which is grungy, hazy! Since I'm applying my heavy, dark eyeshadows, a good eyeshadow primer like is necessary to hold the makeup. First, I'll apply some brown matte eyeshadow on my eyelids, followed by a little touch of black shadow at the outer 1/3 edge corner of the crease. For this look, I also add some shimmer silver eyeshadow on my lids for an accentuated cut crease look! I use NYX - Love Lust Disco Eyeshadow Palette, and this palette is AMAZING with all the colors I need for a spooky look and super pigmented, perfect for the grunge vibes! As for the eyeliner, I use NYX - NYX Metallic Eyeliner and apply it to the top and bottom of my water lines. Personally, I prefer winged eyeliners that are bold and extravagant, so I'll extend a bit more onto edges on both sides. Then, using a sponge applicator to smudge the black lining of the top lashes for a gothic look. The last step of my eye makeup is applying multiple coats of my e.l.f. - Volumizing Mascara mascara until the lashes look quite thick and even dramatic. When it comes to punk, it's OK to go a bit further or appears chunky. Another choice is adding a pair of false lashes to increase the intensity if you like. Blush makeup: I want to create a pale punk look, so I'll keep blush slightly more pinkish than my skin tone and I use ULTA BEAUTY - Mineral Blushhere. Skip bronzers and dark peachy blushes. Use a flexible blush brush like REAL TECHNIQUES - Instapop Cheek Brush to swipe a few on cheekbones in a circular fashion while avoiding the contours or cheek hollows. Lip makeup: Line my lips slightly with a pale lip liner, preferably light mauve or brown, and go for a dark hue to the lips for a powerful pout! I recommend MAYBELLINE - Color Sensational Lip Liner for lip liner, and MAYBELLINE - Color Sensational Lipcolor in Pitch Black for lipstick! A little tip is that some rock stars often draw shapes on their face like a heart or a star, so if you are going for an exceptional finish, be free to paint on your face to have more fun! Hope you guys enjoy this tutorial! What will be your Halloween costume this year? Share your ideas below! Happy Halloween in advance xx!

I discovered THE place to find dupes for all those expensive beauty products I’ve always wanted to try.

Hunting for the Glossier ☁️ 🎨 dupe - Part 1
Hunting for the Glossier ☁️ 🎨 dupe - Part 1
I really like Glossier’s cloud paint. It’s a cult favourite and I’m 100% on board with the product. I always have two different colours on hand (currently Beam and Puff). But I wanted to see if there was a drugstore option because 1) this 🇨🇦 girl doesn’t love waiting for shipping and 2) because if I can save some money, why not. Enter, MAYBELLINE - Cheek Heat Gel-Cream Blush . This was the first cream blush that I tried and overall I liked it! But it’s not an exact dupe for Cloud Paint and I think there’s one main thing it’s lacking. Note: I wasn’t really looking for an exact colour match for either of the Cloud Paints I had. Moreso I was looking at the formula, price, amount of product and the overall effectiveness as a blush. The good: + Price! It’s like $7 depending on where you buy it. Which is less than half of Cloud Paint. + This shears out quite nicely onto the skin and provides a very very natural tint to the skin. If you like natural-looking makeup looks, this could be a winner for you! + Its a very lightweight formula which leaves a nice dewy finish to your cheeks. Nothing cakey about it. + Very easy to blend out onto your skin or on top of foundation. + This shade in particular, Nude Burn, is lovely and does look exactly like a very light sunburn, but in a good way. It looks like I got a very slight flush from being at the beach all day, when I’m all reality I’m sitting at home in front my computer all day... 🙃 + The tint did last all day for me! So it has some nice staying power. The not so good: - The texture is really interesting. At first it has a much more solid texture versus the liquid cloud paint. But then as you spread it out it shears out into more of a gel. And it shears out quite a bit. So for me, I’m quite pale, it gives me skin a nice, light tint to the skin and honestly it looks very nice and natural. BUT if you are looking for something with some more pigment like the Glossier Cloud paint, this one might not be for you. - Although you wouldn’t think it because of the size of the packaging, you get less product (8 ml versus 10ml) than Glossier’s Cloud Paint and I feel like since Cloud Paint is more pigmented you actually use less product. Worth it? For $7, I’m not mad! And honestly I have been liking this on my no makeup days. It provides a lovely natural tint. Will I repurchase? I honestly think I would opt for the other dupe I found over this one! That product is coming in part 2! Ps I still love cloud paint and will probably continue to purchase because I’m a sucker for the brand. But it’s nice to have another option :)

hello everyone! today i am showing you a vintage makeup look inspired by what my great grandma used to wear when she was a teenage in the 40s❤️ i know the bandana is more like 50s but whatever😂 vintage makeup is very simple and cute to do! its bold yet sutle. i also never wear red lipstick so this pushed me out of my comfort zone. lemme know what you think and dont forget to follow and cheer! follow my makeup instagram @aesthetemilyy😍 products/ how i used them: SOAP & GLORY - The Fab Pore 3-In-1 Oil Control Serum i used this as normal COLOURPOP - Pretty Fresh Hyaluronic Hydrating Foundation i used this as normal e.l.f. - 16HR Camo Concealer i used this matte concealer to highlight, because 40s women did very matte looks! e.l.f. - High Definition Powder i made sure to make my skin very matte COLOURPOP - Colourpop Pressed Powder Blush in the shade “desert rose”. i used a pink blush because a lot of vintage women wore very bright blush and no bronzer! PLOUISE - Base Pro Shade i used the shade “1” to create a bright, matte base COLOURPOP - Night Owl Pressed Powder Palette i used the cool, light brown shade just in my crease and outside corner, and i used a white shade from COLOURPOP - Aura & Out Shadow Palette on my lid and inner corner. COLOURPOP - BFF Liquid Liner i used this black liner to create a small wing like many vintage ladies used to wear❤️ L'ORÉAL - Voluminous Original Mascara i used this to make my eyelashes feathery and not as thick e.l.f. - Instant Lift Brow Pencil i used this to create very arched and dark brows, as many ladies did this in the 40s KYLIE COSMETICS - MATTE LIQUID LIPSTICK i used this deep red lipstick in the shade “leo” as red lipstick was really popular back then #CheriePartner
