Review of Clinique’s clearing gel
I’ve decided to do a multi-part post where I review and breakdown the products in my everyday skincare routine (see first post for routine). This is Part 1! The spot treatment I’ve been using is CLINIQUE - Acne Solutions Clinical Clearing Gel

Best Acne Treatment!
I have very acne prone skin and I frequently struggle to get it under control. This is by far the most effective treatment I have ever used for active acne spots. CLINIQUE - Acne Solutions Clinical Clearing Gel If I could only use one acne treatment for the rest of my life it would be this one! It contains salicylic acid to clear blemishes and can be used as a spot treatment or, if you have acne covering a larger area, you can use a thin layer all over your face. It does have some ingredients that can cause your skin to be dry or irritated if it is over used, but it wouldn’t be an acne treatment without them and it shouldn’t cause any issues if you only use it on acne spots. I’ve seriously never had an issue with this. If you have tried this product or have any recommendations please let me know in the comments!
Clinique Acne Products That Are Worth Buying!
Part 3 of my skincare routine posts! This one is all about the Clinique products I use. I’m fully convinced these products have stopped/limited any acne. ✨CLINIQUE - Acne Solutions Clarifying Lotion - I use this in both my morning and night routine after cleansing (check out previous post for my cleansers). It’s so nice and doesn’t irritate my skin at all! I believe this is in combo with my other products is helping lighten acne scars too. All I do is shake the bottle to mix the product, then apply to a cotton ball or pad and wipe on the face. I focus this more on areas where my acne usually pops up. Side note: I recently bought reusable cotton pads and this works great with them! ✨CLINIQUE - Acne Solutions Clinical Clearing Gel - I also use this product for both day and night routines. I apply it after the clarifying lotion and usually let it sit for a few minutes before doing my next steps. I LOVE this stuff. It can be thinly applied on the whole face or just target certain areas (which is what I do). A little goes a long way so I only need 1-2 drops of this. The formula is strong and works great without bothering my skin or making it incredibly dry. It’s a bit pricey for the size, but trust me it’s worth it (and it lasts longer than you think!). For me personally, I found this works better than any benzoyl peroxide product. ✨CLINIQUE - Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel - My skin is combo but it’s highly dependent on the season too. Winter I’m more dry, summer I’m more oily. This moisturizer is definitely a fav, perfect for summer! It soaks in and doesn’t sit on the face, so I’m not left with any oily residue. I use this only in the morning as I prefer a thicker, richer cream for night. Right now it’s winter here so I do have to use my old favorite Neutrogena - Neutrogena Hydroboost Water Gel Moisturizer for certain super dry areas on my face (nose and sides of mouth), then I go over my whole face with the Clinique gel. **I highly recommend looking into their complete moisturizer line, they have so many ways to customize for your skin type.** Overall I recommend all these Clinique products! It’s a great brand that can cater to so many skin types.
FA safe but there is a Sulfur product I prefer
MARIO BADESCU - Mario Badescu Drying Lotion ^ has no fungal acne triggers Has 2 ingredients that help fight fungal acne: - Sulfur - Salicylic Acid Some people say it dries out there skin too much but I think it’s okay as a spot treatment. But it didn’t do much for my acne. A Sulfur spot treatment mask that works really well for me is De La Cruz - Sulfur Ointment, Acne Medication, Maximum Strength which you only leave on clean skin for 10 min then wash it off and use your regular skin care products
My Skincare Routine- 5 Months Later!
Long time no post! Since my first post regarding my skincare routine received quite a bit of attention, I decided to update and let you know what I’ve learned to do within the past few months. I still am using the same CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin cleanser, which will remain a long time favorite of mine. I am considering trying the SA cleanser once this runs out! My routine has simplified, as I really only moisturize and use The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% in the morning and at night. I love how my once oily skin is now more manageable! I have come to learn that my skin really doesn’t agree with the The Ordinary - Lactic Acid 10% + HA serum. I was away at college and left it home, as I’ve been back for about a month I decided to try it again and my skin has NOT been happy. I could be wrong, but I believe this can be to blame. I have really switched over from my The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution to the The Ordinary - Salicylic Acid 2% Masque once a week, as I feel the latter is less harsh on my skin. I could possibly be allergic to the peeling solution, as again at school I left it out of my routine and saw better results. My holy grail product used to be the MARIO BADESCU - Mario Badescu Drying Lotion , which worked great but dried my skin out around the pimple over time. Now, acne patches are the way to go! I got these ones from Amazon, and at ~$10 for 125 patches, I see it as a complete win! Now I turn to you guys, as I still struggle with hormonal acne and now dry skin that the weather has changed. If there are any products you recommend (with a college students budget in mind!), don’t hesitate to comment below! I hope you all had safe and wonderful holidays with your loved ones! ❤️
My Acne Saviors 🤩🤩🤩
These two products have been staples for me in trying to address my hormonal acne!! La Roche-Posay Purifying Foaming Gel Every time I’ve tried to switch to another cleanser I keep returning to this one. The texture is great, a thick gel that foams up nicely with water. My skin feels so soft and clean after. It does leave my skin a little tight after washing so I would be hesitant if you have combination/dry skin. If your skin likes niacinamide THIS IS THE CLEANSER FOR YOU. Peach Slices Acne Spot Dots Similar to the above facial cleanser, I have tried many acne stickers but none work like these little hydrocolloid dots. I have tested them on deep cysts and budding whiteheads alike and have come to the same result— quickly fading acne with little scarring. Highly, highly recommend, especially for those with stubborn, lasting pimples.

Update Hormonal Acne: 1 Week After Product Swap
Hey All! So after a week of using products recommended to me from you all, I wanted to give an update. My skin has improved slightly, but I’m here for the small victories! I switched my cleanser from the CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin to the CeraVe - Hydrating Face Cleanser For Normal To Dry Skin and I think this has made a huge improvement to the hydration levels of my skin. I have naturally very dry and sensitive skin, so I think the foaming cleanser did a bit too much on it. I’ve also started using DIFFERIN - DIFFERIN Acne Treatment Gel again! Love this product as a spot treatment. It has worked wonders for my more inflamed breakouts. Lastly, I’ve taken out the following products: clarisonic - MIA 2 FACIAL CLEANSING BRUSH (LOL ya’ll I know, but I’ve been using it for YEARS and I just couldn’t put it down) PACIfICA - Cosmic Renew AHA & Hemp Resurfacing Tonic (This was just too drying with my prescription tret cream) Looking forward to continue updating xx

Gets Rid Of Redness!
Why I Bought It: I bought this awhile ago while I was looking for something to help me out with my redness because I felt like I looked like I was always blushing. My Experience: When I first bought it I hated it. It made my skin so dry to the point my face was peeling in my drier areas(I have combo skin so my cheeks are my drier areas). So I stopped using it. But recently I started using it again and it does make me a little dry still but I go in with a moisturizer after and my face feels better. The redness has gone down so much it looks like I don’t even have it anymore. And it has helped the occasional breakouts that I get. I also noticed that my pores feel less large and my nose has less blackheads. Is It Worth It?: Neutrogena - Oil Free Acne Wash, Redness Soothing Facial Cleanser I would say yes if you want to get rid of redness and acne. I didn’t give it all five stars just because I feel like it does make my face dry and tight without a moisturizer. @Walmart for $6.97
Neutrogena- Oil Free Acne Wash, Redness Soothing Facial Cleanser
the product: proactiv - Renewing Cleanser the rating: 5/5, kind of a surprise! the ingredients: 2% salicylic acid the review: I was kind of shocked by how much i liked this cleanser. proactiv has an interesting reputation for being both a miracle product ans a scam. to me, it felt like a gentle and effective product that helped my hormonal acne clear without additional breakouts. the exfoliating beads are not too harsh, and the size means ill have facewash for months. the smell is a little odd, but makes sense given the nature of the ingredients. the price: i bought mine for $10 from marshalls, but it truly ranges
Is this purging?
My skin started getting bad when quarantine started, so I started adding skincare products. My skin is just getting worse and worse so now I’m not sure if I’m just breaking out worse because of the products or if I’m just purging. I’m currently using Bioré - Blue Agave & Baking Soda Pore Balancing Cleanser The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution PACIfICA - Dry It Out Acne Gel Spot Treatment Cetaphil - Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion

Hi this is my first post here. And I just want to show you guys my journey. The 1st-3rd pics were the days my face looked really bad. Because I had so many acnes everywhere. I got really sad and my self esteem was really low. I didn’t wanna go out anymore. Because I was embarrassed. The 4th picture was when I had makeup on. As you could see the makeup didn’t help at all. Btw I used the clinique 123 acne set and I tried proactive too. But my acnes got worst. My boyfriend’s sister told me to try beauche set out. She said it really helped her with her acnes. And I did tried it. And finally I’ve seen the difference when days go by. My acnes were vanishing little by little. Until it was really gone. The 5th pic is when my face was finally acne free. The last pic is when I put makeup on. You could see the differences from my 4th pic with makeup on. Anyways you can buy beuche from ebay or amazon. Trust me I was scared at first. My Mental Wellness Improved Through My Self AcceptanceWhen I was around 13 or 14 years old, I remember routinely taking one of my older sister’s black eyeliner pencils before school every morning. I’d arrive early so that I could slip away to the girl’s bathroom to apply a single black line to my eyelids. My parents didn’t allow me to wear any makeup at the time. Although this smudgy line on my eyelids didn’t make me look all that much different, I never felt comfortable at school without it. My teenage mind convinced myself that I needed some sort of cosmetic symbol in order to appropriately express my femininity. Up until that point in my life, society had told girls that looked like me - tall, Black, and with kinky hair - that we somehow weren’t as beautiful as the other girls. For far too long, I believed it too.Feb. 17
