Just okay for such an expensive product :/
First Impression: I opened the box and WOW is this small for $20! I never shop at Sephora and the only reason I bought this was because I received a $25 gift card recently but I was at least expecting this to be a little bit bigger. Like .5 fl oz instead of .34 maybe? I have heard amazing things from dozens of skincare sites so I couldn’t wait to try it! Opening: When I opened the tin, it looked thick due to its color, but once I put some on it was VERY thin. When I use my regular Clinique Moisture Surge (which is super hydrating) it is very lightweight but still a little bit heavier than this. Smells great! Next day: I have to say the combo of this and THE BODY SHOP - Jumbo Tea Tree Oil has me waking up with the smoothest skin but lately my skin has been feeling much drier due to the cold (not on just my face) and I don’t think it is as hydrating as I expected it to be. The cream dries very quickly which makes me want to put another layer on and when I wake up I still have dry spots. Like I said I feel VERY smooth but not as hydrated as I’d like. Verdict: I feel like this would definitely benefit me better around the summer/springtime when I’m not looking for complete re-hydration of my skin and more of a moisturizer but I do not think this is the holy grail I was expecting it to be. Try it out if you get the opportunity because all skin is different! But for my combination skin and hormonal acne, it’s gonna be a no from me, dawg :(
Pleasantly surprised by this money sucker!
Let me just start by saying that I have been looking at this beauty basically since it came out but never actually bought it because of how obnoxiously expensive it is. The only reason I did this month is because ulta was having a big Black Friday sale and I racked up $10 in points, scoring this product for half off! It has a very interesting smell but now that I’ve been using it for a month, I’ve gotten used to it. It’s very thick and creamy so you barely need any to cover your whole face. They suggest you keep it on your face for 5-20 minutes. I like to keep clay masks on longer usually but this one dries in about 5 minutes which is probably why their suggested time is so short. When you take it off, you can immediately see that your skin looks smoother and pores look smaller! This usually means that the product is drying your face so I top it with either my favorite THE BODY SHOP - Jumbo Tea Tree Oil (sorry Hyram I tried to stop for a little and my skin didn’t like it) and CLINIQUE - Moisture Surge Intense Skin Fortifying Hydrator which is on the more expensive side but hydrates the CRAP out of my skin and is so worth it. I don’t normally like clay masks because I do have combination skin and it tends to make me breakout more but this one is like a different breed!! Verdict: YES!!!!! 💖💖💖💖 one of the best clay masks I’ve used. Buy it!!!
Acne progression (5 years)
The body shop products have helped me so much with clearing my skin up the last 5 years. Although the tea tree drys my skin out, the aloe products I use even it out and hydrate my skin more.
I've tried four Anti-acne products and my personal ranking is...
My skin type: Normal skin type, combination-dry, not sensitive; Have acne issues occasionally on T zone. NO.1THE BODY SHOP - Jumbo Tea Tree Oil Texture: Liquid, highly fluid Better Apply On: Mature acne, all types of skin I have been using this product for over four years. Since I have tried many anti-acne products, this is the only one I have re-purchased. It has a mild herb smell and is very soothing to use. This oil is not useful on acne mark, however it’s very effective for the elimination of mature acnes, after applying it for 1-2 days, the acne can be deflated. It's cheap and easy to purchase offline. Recommended! NO.2MARIO BADESCU - Buffering Lotion Texture: Liquid, layered Better Apply On: Mature Acne, not sensitive skin There are two types of this acne essence, one is strong, one is gentle. Since my skin is not sensitive, I started with the strong one. It has two layers, the power and liquid, you have to shake it completely before using it. After using for several months, me personally feel it is very useful for red and swollen acnes. Apply it on your acne with a thick layer before going to bed, and the next day you will find the bumping acne went down a lot. However, this product has two weakness. Firstly, it is very irritating. You can feel a little pain when you apply it to your pimples. Secondly, because of its excessive fluidity, it can't be fixed on the pimple, it is easy to flow to the other places on your face. Not recommended to sensitive skin! NO.3 ORIGINS - Super Spot Remover Acne Treatment Gel Texture: Gel, Herb Smell Better Apply On: Mature acne This product doesn't work that strong on red pimples compared with the first two. Since it's gelatinous type, when your hair touches the gel applied on your pimples, it's easy to get it everywhere. The capacity is relatively less, the cost performance is not particularly high. General recommended! NO.4THE BODY SHOP - Tea Tree Targeted Gel Texture: Gel, Herb Smell Better Apply On: Mature Acne This product’s content is as the same as the first tea tree oil, the dispel acne-effect is quite weaker than the essential oil, however the applicator is suitable for lazy person. Due to its small capacity, I basically used it up in one month, the cost performance is quite low. General recommended!
Organation has a quiz that you take that helps them blend a cream together for you personally not one that is made for everyone else that may not work for your specific needs. They ask your skin type, sensitivity level, age group, environment (specifically if you live in an urban environment where city pollution may be damaging your skin), whether you smoke, if you have allergies, and your skin challenges from a pre-determined list. It even goes a step further by asking you to choose 1-2 preselected ingredient for each of your skin concerns such as rosehip oil for hyperpigmentation, seaweed extract for hydration, etc. What you end up with is your own personal cream (they even personalize the label as you can see). I have been using mine for the last week and have to say I am liking what I am seeing. Especially with my redness which has always been the one thing about my skin I hate the most. I really hope it gets to a point where I don’t feel like I have to wear foundation or CC cream on my face every time I want to go somewhere. While the cream is a bit pricy at $50, I figure if it replaces 3 different creams because I can get the same results with one then I am already saving money. Lastly, their products are free of gluten, GMOs, parabens, phthalates, parables, sulfates, petrochemicals and synthetic fragrances as well as vegan and cruelty-free.
For the texture of this lovely cream I've been using. It's so rich & velvety. Hence the name..it's Shero Science Algae+ Rich Moisturizing Cream💦 Has Algae Extracts, Ferulic Acid, Sodium Hyaluronate, & Vitamin C. Delivers intense moisture to dry or lackluster skin. Seals in antioxidant support, helps to reduce fine lines & wrinkles & aids in restoring skin to a more youthful looking state. I've had a good experience with this cream. No breakouts, or any sensitivities. Even with it being a thicker consistency. Didn't clog my pores. Or break out my acne prone areas. Like my chin😐👀I'm watching you chin!😂 Idk why my chin always takes the brunt of the acne invasion, when it rears it's ugly head. That's where I get cystic acne, when I do. The rest of my face typically gets the smaller, milder forms of pimples instead, thankfully.🌞🌚 This cream says it's for both am & pm use. And is recommended for dry & combo skin. But I only use it at night on my combo skin, bc it's that nourishing! My face still felt soft & glowy the next morn. I prefer a lighter moisturizer for my a.m. routine normally. But for use in my p.m. routine..score!😍🙌 It'd be really beneficial for those with dry skin, esp. Mine is combo, acne prone, oily tzone, w/dry patches(in wintertime the most). This is a nice one for p.m. use imo. Ones who are sensitive to scents, it does have a pretty strong scent to it. Not a bad scent, I don't hate it, but I don't love it either. It's an ok scent. Overall, I'm very happy with this. So smoothing & also affordable. Shero Science is a great female founded skincare brand & cruelty free!🐰💛Have you tried this brand?
Elensilia Escargot Original Repair Cream Review
Today I wanted to talk about a little known anti-aging cream that features one of my favorite ingredients: snail! The Elensilia Escargot Original Repair Cream promises to, "restore the elasticity of the skin for a youthful-looking complexion", which it does through the inclusion of some lovely plant extracts and lots of lots of snail mucin. This cream is used as the last step of your routine, and I most prefer to use it at night as it can be a bit sticky on the skin. The cream itself has the classic snail stringy texture, but when it dries down on the skin it leaves a velvety finish. I really like this products as it helps to keep my skin plump, and does an excellent job of healing any wounds (acne) and soothing redness. I have used up this entire jar, so I can say with confidence that I rather enjoyed it! I found that it was very comfortable to use as a night cream, and that it lived up to its claims. I originally tested it out as it was given to me as a gift, and was super pleased that it worked out for my skin. For those that are wanting to start looking into anti-aging products, this might be a good option if you're still in your twenties and are not experiencing any major signs of aging. It is not a hard-core anti-aging product, so those who are looking for major wrinkle care might not find great results with this product by itself. The only downside I found with the product was the availability- it's hard to find, and can vary wildly in prices (I've seen it anywhere from $15-45/50ml). For that reason, I don't know that I will repurchase it myself, but I enjoyed it while it lasted! Overall, rating this 5/5 stars.

These bottles are gorgeous! They didn't break my skin out rather they were the reason why my skin improved drastically from patchy eczema and acne skin to clearer skin. But ✖️they are pricey so that can be the largest drawback for these products. But they did last 8 months for me-considered long lol .
Anti-Aging Night Cream
This Amazon-Favorite, anti-aging retinol cream is definitely magical or can otherwise be categorized as witchcraft. If my recommendation is not enough to convince you, you can look at all the incredible testimonials on Amazon. (And if you ask me, Amazon is quite the peanut gallery when it comes to reviews.) The bottle says you can use this product day and night but I would say just at night. It’s a very mild retinol and was a gateway product for me. I’m now working on using The Ordinary’s retinol but I will probably go back to this. It did wonders for the texture of my skin while also keeping acne at bay. It’s a think cream but doesn’t feel heavy on the skin and absorbs nicely. In essence, it won’t get on your pillow.
Perfect winter cream
Knours is one of my favorite new skincare brands: they’re a K-beauty brand that specifically focuses on the needs of women’s skin during their menstrual cycle, formulating products that can be used at different points throughout the month according to what your skin needs. This product, the One Perfect Cream, is recommended for use during the week of your period, or for mature skin of women going through menopause. It contains niacinamide to target dullness, shea butter oil to target dryness, and adenosine to fight wrinkles. The texture is thick and creamy due to the shea butter, and I love the velvety soft finish. Though this is marketed partially as an anti-aging product, it’s very versatile and can be used by younger women as well. I first tried this cream in a sample size because I was looking for a thicker winter moisturizer, and I loved it. After finishing the sample, I ordered the full size, and after using it for over a month my acne-prone skin hasn’t experienced any breakouts! It’s been very soothing for my skin, especially since it’s winter and I recently started a new acne medication that dries my skin out. While I wasn’t expecting any fantastic results beyond deep hydration, I do think the niacinamide has helped with brightening some of my hyperpigmentation and dullness. I would recommend this cream to anyone looking for a thicker winter moisturizer, especially women like me who have hormonal acne. Heavier moisturizers often intimidate me because I’m afraid they’ll make me break out, but this one contains no pore-clogging ingredients. This is on the pricier side for me, at $48 for 1.69 oz, but a little goes a long way so I think this tub will definitely last me through the winter. Overall, I’ll definitely repurchase this cream, and I encourage you to try the generous sample size if you’re curious about it! It’s a luxurious product that delivers on what it promises, and the woman-owned clean beauty brand is one I can definitely get behind. 5/5 stars
