We love an effective & affordable cleansing balm
Although I am sad to stray from my Then I met you - Living Cleansing Balm, I was super excited to try this balm and so far I am loving it! The texture and look & feel reminds me a lot of coconut oil since it starts as a solid that melts into this lovely oil. It’s a great first cleanse! The good: + This feels like such a gentle formula. As you work this product into your skin it turns into this lovely oily substance that just dissolves all the makeup / spf off your face. + It’s easy to rinse off with water and doesn’t leave a film or any weird residue behind. + Skin feels cleansed afterwards but not dry and doesn’t feel like I’ve stripped the skin. + It’s $15-20, depending on where you live, which is such a good price. Especially because you use such a tiny amount each night. I can see this lasting me several months. + Star ingredients include Shea butter (hydrating and anti-inflammatory), camellia oil (moisturizing and nourishing) and sea buckthorn oil (rejuvenating). The not so good: - Well it’s not as luxurious as the experience of using the Then I Met You version. But honestly I don’t mind. It’s a product that goes down the sink in about a minute anyways so I would rather it work well.. which it does. - If you have very sensitive skin, there are a couple fragrances / floral oils in here that may be irritating. I personally haven’t had any issues but do want to point it out. - If ingredients matter to you, you might notice that the three key ingredients are fairly low on the list. It does feel a bit weird for them to claim the Shea butter, camellia oil and sea buckthorn oil are the key ingredients when the concentrations are not that prominent. BUT on the other hand maybe these are ingredients that work best in small amounts. This doesn’t both me too much because 1) the product works and 2) it’s a rinse-off product anyways. Worth it? Affordable. Effective. Good amount of product. In my opinion it’s worth it. Will I repurchase? If I ever need another cleansing balm (currently working on this and the Then I Met You version, which are both lasting me so long). Then yes! Especially because I want to try more products from this brand. Even if I find another balm I like better, I might just buy one of these to have as a back up because it’s so affordable. Ps I have combination, acne prone skin. Pps you should check out Good Molecules’ “Nothing to hide ingredient lists”. They are very cool.

This or That? - Affordable Cleansing Balms
One thing that has helped my skin a TON is “Double Cleansing”! It involves going in first with a cleansing balm, cleaning oil, makeup wipes or micellar water which help break down all the dirt, makeup, SPF🧴and impurities that accumulate on the skin throughout the day. This is followed by a water-based 💦cleanser! Cleansing Balms are solid cleansers that melt with your natural body warmth in the palm of your hands👋 Two Cleansing Balms I have used and absolutely enjoyed are: GOOD MOLECULES - Instant Cleansing Balm VERSED - DAY DISSOLVE Cleansing Balm 𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗠𝗼𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗮𝗹𝗺 It’s packaged in a jar and comes with it’s own spatula which i think is ‘a thoughtful💭touch’. It’s also easy to rinse and does a good job👍🏻 in removing most kinds of makeup keeping skin feeling softer and cleaner without leaving any greasy residue. It contains Shea butter plus other non-fragrant plant🌱oils which gives your skin a very soft feel. Just bear it mind that this balm also contains fragrant geranium and ylang ylang oils which can irritate skin and eyes. This balm comes in one size (2.5oz) retailing for $15 and is available on Beautylish and Good Molecules. 𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗦𝗘𝗗 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗗𝗜𝗦𝗦𝗢𝗟𝗩𝗘 𝗖𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗮𝗹𝗺 I have to say.. I think the pink💖packaging of this one is super cute☺️and its recyclable too which is fantastic! The jar is a good size, however, the spatula is not included which makes it a little inconvenient to use if you don’t already have a spatula at hand. The formula includes eucalyptus and clove leaf🍃oil so sensitive skin users be mindful because it can be a little too strong and irritate your skin! A tiny bit of this balm is enough to break down makeup like a champ💪🏻and you may experience a little eye fogginess initially which usually fades away in a few minutes. The balm can be bought at Target or on Versed and retails for $17.99 (2.3 oz) and $7.99 for the mini (1 oz) What kind of first cleanse do you use? Tell me in the comments! 💋 #cheriepartner
Triple cleansing my Halloween makeup off 💦
Double cleansing is part of my daily nighttime routine, like year round, but there are times when you need a little extra help. Usually my cleansing balm + face wash combo gets rid of makeup and impurities, but I feel on some nights (i.e. Halloween night) when I’m extra done up I do need something else, so I’ll include an oil to dissolve mascara and help remove eye makeup. 💧First step: oil. •#Prosa - Aceite para crecer y alargar sus pestañas 4 en 1[products]#[FiveStars] I bought this puppy in Mexico because I really, really love the Prosa máscaras and this oil blend looked nice. It’s meant to be applied and left overnight to help strengthen your lashes and keep them healthy, but I saw Adri from @sortofobsessed on IG mentioned she uses it to remove eye makeup too and it’s been going good! It doesn’t irritate my eyes or skin and does a great job removing stubborn waterproof mascara. It has a nice, sweet almond scent that fades quickly and it’s like $40 pesos, so about $2 US dollars. 💧Second step: cleansing balm. •GOOD MOLECULES - Instant Cleansing Balm Received this baby in PR a while ago but I started using it like a month ago, it’s not my favorite balm but I’m trying to use what I already have. It smells like Lancôme skincare (think old lady, powdery, floral scent), which I’m not the biggest fan of, but the scent doesn’t linger. It isn’t half bad at removing the remaining makeup on my face, but leaves a film behind that I don’t really like. Luckily the next step helps getting rid of that. 💧Third step: face wash. •BLUME - Daydreamer Face Wash My friend Sally gifted me this and let me tell you, this face wash is AMAZING. It’s soo gentle but it effectively cleanses. It’s the creamiest cleanser I’ve ever tried and it doesn’t foam up. Made with skin loving ingredients like chamomile and arnica flower extracts and leaves my skin feeling super soft, never stripped or tight. It’s $16 for 120 ml. The perfect face wash to finish off an intense cleansing routine! #cheriepartner #cheriecreator

BEST anti-stripping hydrating Cleanser 🔥
If you are looking for a gentle, yet effective cleanser that doesn’t leave you super tight, this is it. I once judged the effectiveness of a face wash by how stripped it left me😫. I have learned so much and I have never used a cleanser like this. It has this gelly-like consistency that glides on the skin. I love that it is affordable too! I discovered this gem when I started to get serious with my skin care. Being at in quarantine since March, I decided to take my journey seriously and looking to Korean skin care. This product came highly recommended from James Welsh on YouTube and I have been using it both day and night for the past 5 months. The packaging isn’t just pretty! This products is packed with antioxidants as well as vitamin B5 to keep your skin hydrated, while Hemp seed oil seals in the moisture. It’s so hard for me to try other cleansers now. I always find myself coming back to this one! What’s your favorite cleanser at the moment? #CherieCreator PS. I have oily/combination and acne prone skin ❤️
Krave-Matcha Hemp Hydrating Cleanser
Do you double cleanse? I never truly realized how beneficial double cleansing could be! Essentially, double cleansing works by cleansing your skin through 2 steps instead of 1, ensuring absolutely every ounce of makeup and dirt is removed. 💫 Step 1: cleanse with an oil based cleanser. Oil based is essential because it breaks up all the makeup/dirt on the outermost layer of your skin. Think of this as a barrier that traps everything beneath it. If you aren’t stripping away that makeup barrier before going in with a second cleanser, you’re leaving a lot of dirt stuck below the surface! I have been using the Boscia Makeup Breakup cool cleansing oil and I love it! It is incredible at getting off all my makeup for that first cleanse. Step 2: cleanse with a gel or foam based cleanser. These are the cleansers that really give you that deep clean. The aim here is not to just remove makeup (since we did that in the last step), but now we are getting rid of everything below the surface. Once that outer barrier is stripped away it is much easier for cleansers to get deep down into your pores and clear out all the remaining dirt! As my second cleanse, I have been using and loving the Boscia Purifying cleansing gel. This cleanser leaves my skin feeling insanely clean yet never feels tight or dry after! I find my skin has way less breakouts when using the 2-step method. As someone who is extremely lazy and doesn’t even want to be bothered to wash their face in one step let alone two, I find this method is so beneficial for my skin that the extra step is just worth the hassle. Give it a go for about 2 weeks and see if you notice any changes in your skin!

🐝 The BEE-st Face Wash! 🐝
FARMACY - Clean Bee Ultra Gentle Facial Cleanser As I’ve said before I have super oily, acne prone skin that’s extremely picky about what products it’s going to like. I picked up this sample size of the Farmacy Clean Bee gel cleanser last year expecting very little, and I am never going back! This is a lovely gentle gel cleanser with a delicate botanical smell, formulated with hyalauronic acid, chamomile, and amino acids for even the most sensitive skin. This formula manages the fine line between leaving your feeling squeaky clean, but never stripping. After use my skin feels clean, plump, and calmed. My only “complaint” about this product is this price (which is my only complaint with Farmacy products), but this mini size has lasted me over six months of continuous use, which means the full size would last even longer. I would recommend this cleanser to pretty much anyone; but ESPECIALLY to those of you with sensitive or acne prone skin. A godsend! #CherieCreator #cleanser #skincare

Double cleansing for oily & acne-prone skin
✨Affordable and effective double cleansing routine for oily and acne-prone skin✨ Let’s talk double cleansing today. Throughout the day, your skin accumulates dirt, debris, and impurities from your environment. For those with oily and combination skin, we naturally secrete high amounts of sebum, an oily and waxy substance that’s produced by our body’s sebaceous gland, throughout the day that coats our skin in an oily film which can clog our pores and lead to acne. This leads me to why it’s important to double cleanse at the end of the day. Double cleansing is a two step process that utilizes an oil and water based cleanser to effectively remove all forms of impurities. It’s especially important if you wear makeup and sunscreen because if left on the skin, it can be a breeding ground for acne causing bacteria. ▶️ THE inkey LIST - Oat Cleansing Balm - a cleansing balm that utilizes 3% oat kernel oil and 1% colloidal oatmeal to provide a soothing cleanse that will remove all makeup and excess oil without disrupting the skin’s moisture barrier. You can apply this on dry or wet skin. I prefer dry. Take your time to melt and massage this thoroughly into the skin. It does leave a film post cleanse but that disappears once you go in with your 2nd step cleanser. This is so affordable at only 10$ for 5oz. ▶️ THE inkey LIST - Salicylic Acid Acne + Pore Cleanser - a water based gel cleanser that’s formulated with 2% salicylic acid and zinc compound to gently exfoliate and unclog pores. Great acid cleanser that can be used daily without leaving your skin dry and stripped. It’s my go to cleanser to help reduce the amount of breakouts I get. This is great for the body as well if you get breakouts there. Another affordable option at only 10$ for 5oz. Not everyone may need to double cleanse but it’s an essential part of my routine in order to ensure that I start my routine off with a clean slate. This also allows the active ingredients in my products to absorb and work better. Plus it feels so relaxing and therapeutic which is why I always look forward to it at the end of the day even when I’m dead tired. Do you double cleanse? What are your go to products for it?

Cult fave empty: Farmacy Green Clean Balm 🌱
This cult favorite is a recent empty—and it’s a cult favorite for a reason! I originally bought a small sample size after hearing skincare Youtubers like Liah Yoo and James Welsh rave about it, and liked it so much that I bought a full size for myself and one as a gift for my mom. FARMACY - Green Clean Makeup Removing Cleansing Balm Texture: the texture of this product is like a lightweight sherbert. It’s not waxy or stiff like other cleansing balms I’ve tried. It melts down into a slippery oil once you warm it up in your palms. Scent: this does not have synthetic fragrance, but it does have a scent. To me, it smells floral and fresh, but isn’t too overpowering. The smell doesn’t linger once you wash the balm off. Application: the full size comes in a jar with a screw-on lid and a little plastic spatula. The spatula fits inside the jar. I used this nightly as my first cleanse (in a double cleanse) on the days when I wore sunscreen (which is almost everyday except on days where my skin was really irritated from going too ham with trying new products 😆). I would take about a nickel-sized amount, warm it up in my palms so that it melted down, and would massage it into my dry face. I would then use a little bit of water on my palms to emulsify the cleanser, then would finish with rinsing it off. I also used this product for LABeautyologist’s oil cleansing method about once a week—this method involves using cleansing balm or cleansing oil to extract oil plugs from your skin. Results: I really enjoyed this product! 💚 I have sensitive, combo, acne prone skin and never experienced any breakouts or irritation from this product. It worked well in removing oil plugs too, and I didn’t feel like it left a film of oil on my face. My mom has oily, mature skin and enjoys this product as well. The only reason I am not repurchasing it is because I am curious to try a oil cleanser instead of a balm next. But I am a fan of this product and would recommend!

First Time Using A Cleanser
YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superfood Antioxidant Cleanser I’ve always used a sulfate bar which was really drying for my skin, it destroyed my skins moisture barrier leaving it tight and sore but it helped get rid of my mild acne. I now desperately need a skincare routine that suits my skin. I’d like to give my thoughts and experience products I’m trying for the first time since I’ve never had a skin care regimen and don’t know much about ingredients/ skin care but I strive for clear skin and whoever is reading this I am continuing to grow my knowledge behind skin through reliable sources :) Please give me any recommendations/ advice that you think will benefit my skin!! I appreciate it ❤️ S K I N / T Y P E 🍃 Combo Skin T-zone being the Oilest Cheeks being on the Normal/Dry side Acne Prone Pigment Scarring Sensitive Tendency to become Flush and Red when Touched Large Pores T H O U G H T S 💫 After using this product I noticed my skin felt clean and soft. It was not too drying for my cheeks, although when double cleansing it did become somewhat tight but after using a moisturizer it did not become a problem. After being accustomed to a harsh drying soap, I did not feel satisfied when It did not dry pimples that came in. The purpose is to cleanse nothing more or less which isn’t ideal for acne prone skin but it is suitable in doing the job it was made for. Although this was amazing as a first time cleanser, it was definitely out of my price range. I will be switching cleansers after finishing/ nearing the end of my bottle. I believe I can find something just as good for a better price :) The ingredient/ company claims and appears very friendly, besides the strong smell, possibly from the “natural fragrance” which makes me skeptical. It did not irritate my skin but I leave a warning to those with hyper-sensitive skin. Environment friendly, comes in glass packaging (making it recyclable) and shredded paper to keep from breaking the product which is a better alternative than plastic. Claims to be Cruelty-free🤍 and Vegan🌱 P R O D U C T $ 💚 Not Including Shipping The pictures shown is the 2 ounce Travel Size Bottle - 10$ 8 ounce Bottle - 36$ Youth to the People also Offer: 16 ounce Refillable Bottle - 64$ I would really like another alternative similar to this since this product is out my price range!
