Travel-friendly lip balms for chapped lips

Glossy.glossary
I’m a lip balm addict. I can get really dehydrated and flaky lips so when I leave the house or go for a small trip I need to have at least one product in my purse / backpack / tote bag. I love these three lips balms because they have hygienic and slim packaging that fits almost anywhere. And I like bringing these three around because they each serve a unique purpose: indeed LABORATORIES - Hydraluron + Volumising Lip Treatment
^ when you need some heavy duty hydration ($15) I am absolutely loving this lip treatment from indeed. After just one use my lips were super soft and didn’t have any flakes left over. The formula is clear, THICK and was actually hard to squeeze out of the tube at first. But once you put it on it feels moisturizing, but thick enough that it won’t move out of place. The only thing I will say is that I don’t these this product makes my lips look any more voluminous that they did already... but I don’t mind and for $15 I’m super happy with the results. I would even consider bringing this in place of my Laneige lip mask is I was going on a quick weekend trip or just had a small purse. Then I met you - Honey Dew Lip Mask
^ when you want dewy and glossy lips ($22) Say you want to look extra dewy or flirty...But you don’t want a gloss that will dry out your lips or will feel too sticky. I would definitely recommend trying this lip mask. It’s not as healing as the indeed lip treatment, but it will keep your lips hydrated and super super glossy. Plus it smells super nice. The product is clear and almost a little oily. It’s a really lovely formula and pretty packaging. The scent is sweet but subtle. Overall, I love pulling this out of my purse and swiping a bit on before going out because I feel extra dewy and pretty. Glossier. - Balm Dotcom
^ the jack of all trades ($15) Lips feeling a bit chapped? Balm dotcom. Cuticles feeling dry? Balm dotcom. Elbows cracking? Balm dotcom. Let’s be honest, it’s beautiful and lightly scented Vaseline. And I love it. It’s so convenient for when you’re out and about. For $15 it does seem a bit steep, but the packaging is cute, the scent is nice and the pink tint in this rose version is subtle but pretty. Overall, I’m happy to spend the money for this convenient and versatile product. 🥰💋

lilianisabelleOh my goodness the balm Dotcom is my favorite lip balm! I travel ( a lot!) and have found that the original (fragrance free) is lovely! What is the Rose lip balm like? I see that it has a "light pink tint" how would you describe it?

Glossy.glossaryHey :) it’s a light / pale baby pink! I personally have a lot of pigment in my lips so it doesn’t show up too much but it definitely does make my lips look a little brighter and aesthetics-wise, I love it! It’s definitely fragrant and does smell (and maybe taste...) like roses. If you’re sensitive to fragrance then I might stick to the original version, but on the other hand I kind of love dabbing some of it on my wrists to give myself a slight scent.

Current morning & night routine ☀️🌙
Hey beauties! I wanted to share my current skin routine for morning & night, since I've updated it with some new products that I'm enjoying and it's been working for me. Hope it works for you too! :) ☀️Morning: 1. I typically don't wash my face since all I did was sleep and I do this routine pretty soon after I wake up. So the first step is really to use almost a whole pump of OLE HENRIKSEN - Banana Bright Vitamin C Serum on my whole face 2. Then I use about a dime sized amount of myKiehl's - Ultra Facial Cream 3. Glossier. - Balm Dotcom goes on my lips - I prefer either fig, birthday, berry or coconut 4. Volia! That's easy :) 🌙Evening: 1. Cleanse my face in the shower using a half pump of YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superfood Antioxidant Cleanser 2. After my shower, I sometimes use my facial roller (it's SEPHORA COLLECTION - Rose Quartz Facial Rollerand Idk what to rate it as since it's the only one I have) 3. Next is the serum - depending on what's the issue; if it's acne:Glossier. - Solution Exfoliating Skin Perfector, redness and/or irritation: Glossier. - Super Pure Niacinamide + Zinc Serum, or just feels ok / needs a little something to smooth out or be more hydrated: TATCHA - The Dewy Serum Resurfacing and Plumping Treatment 4. If I want to use an eye cream, I go with the Ole Henriksen banana bright eye creme from this set: OLE HENRIKSEN - Let's Get Luminous Brightening Essentials Set it's a half size one and the set is only $40 5. Glossier. - Balm Dotcom again because it's hydrating enough for me (yes my lips do get dry since they're a little chapped when I wake up, but I don't think I necessarily need a lip mask) 6. Of course, the last step is a facial spray, and it's always my Avène - Thermal Spring Water Spraybc I can't live without it. In case you're curious, the total price for my routine is $363!! (that includes all the products I mentioned) 🤯

Is this balm REALLY the balm.com?
This seems to be a cult classic on here so, I figured, being that I LOVE a good lip balm, I was so excited to try this! First off, the scent puts me to mind of my childhood- I’ll be honest, and much older- lip smackers vanilla buttercream lip gloss. It’s almost identical in shade- the iridescent sparkle- but the glossier balm is a much thicker consistency, and the smell is more subtle. I’m glad I tried it, and I will most definitely try other scents in the line! Glossier. - Balm Dotcom

𝕋𝕙𝕖𝕟 𝕀 𝕄𝕖𝕥 𝕐𝕠𝕦...
𝕋𝕙𝕖𝕟 𝕀 𝕄𝕖𝕥 𝕐𝕠𝕦 𝕧𝕤. 𝕃𝕒𝕟𝕖𝕚𝕘𝕖 Skincare is everything. It comes first, no question but to me close second is lip care. Nowadays I don’t think you can find a person who does not carry lipbalm—even a basic gas station chapstick. Chapped lips is a no-no for guys and girls! No one wants to be remembered for rough and peeling lips— especially on that first kiss! Lately however I’ve been wanting a little more than just my average Carmex (though it does wonders), to give my lips a little more care. In my lip travels I heard of the brands Laneige and Then I Met You. I paid $22 dollars for Then I met You Honey Dew Mask and $20 dollars for Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask [vanilla] and let me say some Pros and Cons of both Then I Met You: Then I met you - Honey Dew Lip Mask 3.9/5 Pros: Portable, easy to swipe on and provides great moisture, smells like honeydew, simply ingredient list of Honeydew, Squalane, Vitamin E, and Lactic Acid Cons: a little thin, and sometimes filmy, fades and leaves my lips dry and stiff within 30 minutes to an hour Laneige: LANEIGE - LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask 4.8/5 Pros: velvety texture, spreads like butter, a little goes a longggg way, keeps lips moisturized, smells of heavenly vanilla not too heavy or artificial Cons: you have to use your finger (or the given applicator) to apply, can be a little thick BOTTOM LINE: Laneige is Better than For 3 Reasons 1. Texture 2. Bang For Your Buck 3. More Moisture that lasts Longer Overall I am MUCH MORE impressed with Laneige than I am with Then I Met You but that’s a personal opinion based on my lip care preferences. Is Laneige the best out there? Probably not. However if a lighter, a little more user friendly lip care is your thing then it’s time for you to meet Then I Met You! **In the picture I’m wearing Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask

Dewy, glossy lips and convenient packaging
Side note: Isn’t the packaging so lovely? I love the Then I Met You blue. 💙 I was so excited to try out this lip mask when it launched last month for three reasons: 1) I thought the tube was super convenient for on the go, compared to the Laneige lip mask where I either have to use my finger or bring my little paddle. 2) The formulation intrigued me because it was meant to exfoliate your lips but also keep they moist / dewy at the same time. 3) I was really hoping it would smell like melona popsicles... The good: + Lips definitely look dewy af after applying. + Super convenient packaging, it’s slim and will fit into any purse or even your pocket. + The squeeze tube makes it easy to apply lip products without contaminating the applicator when you’re out and about (very relevant for right now where everyone is trying to be extra hygienic) + The formula is moisturizing (I would say more like an oil versus the buttery Laneige lip mask) but doesn’t leave lips sticky. + I’ve been wearing it consistently for a few days now and my lips definitely don’t feel as flakey as they did before. + Scent is nice, but subtle. The not so good: - I wouldn’t say that this is a direct replacement for the Laneige lip mask which is a little more moisturizing. I think the Laneige works perfect before bed or when your lips are in dire need of moisture. Whereas this is almost like a glossy balm for on the go. - This is definitely an investment seeing as it’s over $20 USD for just 0.5 oz of product. That’s not too far off from what the Laneige mask goes for, but it’s a little steep considering I don’t think it has quite the same moisturizing effect. Worth it? To me, this is worth it just because of the pretty and convenient packaging. And if you crave a really dewy, but natural look at work or on the go, I think you’ll like this. Would I repurchase? Probably, again just because of the packaging! But before I buy this one again, I want to buy glow recipe’s lip balm and compare! Then I met you - Honey Dew Lip Mask 💋

Things I actually repurchased this month!
So I love to do product reviews and empties updates, but this time I wanted to actually show what I repurchased this month. I find that consistency has been really good, for my skin especially, lately and sometimes choosing products that you know will work feels like a more worthy purchase as times. So I’m just going to share each of the products and why I love them! None of these products will be a surprise to you all.. cuz I feel like I talk about them all the time but oh well 😬 Benzagel - Acne Wash Benzagel. Take my money. I love this face wash so so much. I owe my clear (well mostly clear) skin to this product. I can’t go a day without it. It’s gentle, but effective at keeping acne away and it’s so affordable. I restock this product pretty regularly at the drugstore. It might be my #1 most repurchased product. BIODERMA - Sensibio H2O Soothing Micellar Cleansing Water It’s my favourite (and I think the best) micellar water. I go through multiple bottles every year. It’s non-irritating, leaves no residue and helps get off any type of mascara. This is a fan favourite for a reason. Plus if you buy the two packs it’s a pretty good price. indeed LABORATORIES - Hydraluron Moisture Jelly This has been a go-to moisturizer for me ever since the weather for a little bit colder. It’s lightweight, but pretty moisturizing. It has the cutest pump at the top that you press to get the product out. The only downside to this is you don’t get a ton of product for the price point. Mitchum - Advanced Control Solid Anti-Perspirant Deodorant, Pure Fresh Okay, I know it might seem weird to review a deodorant but... I don’t care. It’s effective and lasts all day long. This is really the only deodorant that I use now! The scent is light and fresh but fairly subtle so you’re not overwhelmed by the smell. It does leave white marks if you’re not careful, just a warning. essie - Expressie Quick-Dry Nail Polish This one is a cheat... because I repurchased this but in a new colour! I have been loving the pink shade I have and use it almost every single week. I just love how easy and quick it is. It seriously takes me like 10-15 mins to paint and dry my nails. So now that it’s fall I had to buy this cute dark red colour too. indeed LABORATORIES - Hydraluron + Volumising Lip Treatment This has become a big go-to lip balm for me. It’s perfect to throw in your purse or pocket. I find it very moisturizing and has saved my chapped lips. It’s perfect for everyday use and I think it’s definitely worth the price. The only con is I love when products are a little more buttery and this feels a little thicker and even a little sticky. LANEIGE - LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask This mask is so buttery, moisturizing and it just feels luxurious. This little tub lasts forever, I think it’s definitely worth the price point. I use it every night and I wake up with smooth lips. 💋

I've been glad to introduce Vitamin C back into my routine this week with Beauty Pie Superactive Capsules. These are individual capsules of serum with the perfect amount to cover your face and neck. The serum itself is the most siliconey, silky smooth consistency I've ever come across! It feels fantastic to apply. I've not had any new breakouts so hopefully I'm ok with this one! ⭐ I'm obsessed with Clinique Moisture Surge cream. It's so incredibly hydrating and really helps control my oiliness. I'll definitely miss this when it runs out and will repurchace in the future. ⭐ Another amazingly hydrating product is the infamous Hada Labo Hyaluronic acid serum. This stuff is juicy, bouncy skin in a bottle! It's such a light serum and non-sticky too. ⭐ I've been using IndeedHydraluron Lip Treatment all week too. It's a thick gel that hydrates lips and leaves them soft and plumped. I'm one of those people that has a lip balm in every room of the house 🤣🙈

lip masks: worth it?
lip masks: worth it?
honestly, i don’t see lip masks as worth it. yes, the jar does last a hood while, and they do moisturize your lips for a great amount of time, but for the price i do know there are many better options out there. for example, you can get a three pack of softlips lip balm for $3.29, when one laneige lip sleeping mask is $20. in the end, i do think the lip mask does a great job, but i think that when looking at numbers, there are better options for soft lips out there.

Here’s a pink lip mask compari
Here’s a pink lip mask comparison: 💋 BEST FOR BOUNCE: For am overnight hug delivered by a jelly pudding-like Mask, dearpacker has a Plum Seed Sleeping Mask ($15 | gifted) that leaves lips bouncy the next morning. 💋MOST NOURISHING: For something a little creamier with a longer-lasting, moisturized feel, the classic laneige Lip Sleeping Mask ($20) is what I most commonly reach for overnight. 💋MORNING PICK-ME-UP: If you’re not an overnight lip mask kind of person, the fresh Peach Hydrating Lip Balm ($18) is great for mornings. Creamy, lightly scented, and not too heavy, I only wish it were available in bullet form for easier on-the-go application.

EMPTY MINT BALM DOT COM
EMPTY MINT BALM DOT COM
I LOVE THIS PRODUCT SO MUCH, I legit have 5 of these lolol I have 4 mints and one rose haha clearly you can tell that I am mint obsessed but this is the one balm that I use on a daily. I have one on my desk (which is this one) and one on my keys which I bring everywhere with me (which is super handy especially on campus!) I love the scent and how its minty but not too much. It keeps my lips and outer lips from getting chapped and I also apply this on places that are dry on my face/neck. It is a universal balm! But this one is the mint one so I wouldn’t put this on a cut but it works everywhere else :) Glossier. - Balm Dotcom

Review: Lip Glowy Balm 👄
Review: Lip Glowy Balm 👄
LANEIGE - Lip Glowy Balm 👄 this lip balm claims to be a lightweight, mositurizing lip balm that is to be used during the day! And I agree! ✨I only use it during the day, it adds a nice shine that you don’t get from a normal lip balm. They are super sheer so don’t expect a color. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because it doesn’t stay on your lips a super long time and doesn’t leave them super moisturized so you will need to reapply! ✨they come in 4 shades/scents, the grapefruit one is divine!! 💰$17 for a lip gloss/balm isn’t too bad! But honestly I might try something else when I’m done with it!

MAYBE I’M MISSING SOMETHING HERE...
MAYBE I’M MISSING SOMETHING HERE...
Let me start this off with the fact that I LOVE their lip sleeping mask, so I had been eyeing adding their lip balm to my collection for a while! While it’s everything it does claim to be: moisture-coating, glowy, and hydrating... it’s just not DIFFERENT. It’s the same exact juicy tube I could have grabbed from lipsmackers back in the day that would smell the exact same as well. Not worth the high price tag: LANEIGE - Lip Glowy Balm 1.5/5
