EXFOLIATING BODY TREATMENT WITH BAKUCHIOL✨✨✨
Dr. Dennis Gross kindly gifted me their Dr Dennis Gross - Alpha Beta Exfoliating Body Treatment Peel ✨😍✨ This has saved my dry, flaky skin from this cold weather. Since I've never used a chemical exfoliator on my body before this instantly worked like magic, sweeping away all the dry dead skin cells on the surface and allowing my body cream to absorb much better. It also has made a huge difference in the small bumps all over my legs! Ingredients: ✨AHAs including Glycolic, Salicylic and Lactic acid: gently exfoliate by lifting away dead skin cells, while smoothing and brightening skin ✨Bromelain: digest dead skin cells on the surface and work with the AHAs to reveal younger, smoother skin 🌿Bakuchiol: plant-based retinol alternative, helps stimulate natural collagen production to smooth lines and wrinkles and firm skin
Body care ✨
Post-workout shower routine 🚿 I'll admit that I have never really looked into/used products for body care. Sure, I moisturize everyday but this past year I took my KP a little more seriously! I've tried scrubs and light moisturizers that I have enjoyed but am excited that Dr Dennis Gross created theseDr Dennis Gross - Alpha Beta Exfoliating Body Treatment Peel wipes to help aid ingrown hairs, keratosis pilaris, creepy skin, body blemishes, etc. Even better... they come in individual packs! So convenient to throw in your staycation bag, gym bag, or any bags 😉 My skin feels immediately moisturized after used. My experience with other scrubs or washes is that my skin feels stripped of moisture - do not feel that way with these! Recommend giving these a try if you have any skin troubles or blemishes 🖤
Coffee Scrub ☕️
frank body - Coconut Coffee Scrub Pros: - leaves skin feeling super soft + hydrated - smells good - good for rough / bumpy skin 💃🏽 Cons: - the messiest scrub ever - if you use this you will have to clean your whole shower after because somehow it gets everywhere - the package is not resealable even though it looks like it is.... unless mine is just defective ☹️ I do like this scrub but I will not be repurchasing because it is so messy and takes so much time to use because after I use it I need to clean my whole shower. It feels nice on the body but takes a long time to rinse off because it has a sticky sort of texture. 🤷🏽♀️

Review: Grown Alchemist Body Scrub
Today I’m going to tell you all about the GROWN ALCHEMIST - Purifying Body Exfoliant - Pearl, Peppermint & Ylang Ylang Grown Alchemist is an Australian based brand focused on making natural, nontoxic products. The self-describe as a “beauty company of the future” and place a heavy focus on scientific formulas that prevent and reverse aging. Their products smell great, are gentle, and just feel like an indulgence to use! From the GA website, the purifying body exfoliant is “formulated with a sensuous, nutrient and antioxidant-rich blend of efficacious bioactive ingredients that gently remove dead skin cells; leaving the skin noticeably softened, smooth, and deeply cleansed” OK. That’s a lot of buzzwords so let’s break it down: 🍃 Smell: the products smell might be my absolute favorite thing about it. The main smell is peppermint, but it’s softened and made more complex with ylang ylang, sandalwood, and bergamot. It makes my whole shower smell heavenly and leaves a fresh clean scent on my skin 🍃 Exfoliation: this body scrub uses aragonite and conchiolin proteins from pearl as it’s main exfoliating agent and it is every bit as gentle as GA describes. If you’re looking for a super strong feeling exfoliant, move along to the next scrub, but if you enjoy something gentler, it doesn’t get much better! Despite being gentle, this leaves my skin soft and has helped to clear up the KP on my arms with use 2-3x weekly 🍃 Packaging: I don’t love the metal ‘paint tubes’ as packaging for any skincare, and find that it’s especially frustrating with this scrub that comes out fast due to its thin texture 🍃 Cost: $34 for 170mL/5.7 oz - steep for a body scrub you use all the time, but not so high that it’s not worth splurging on every once in a while OVERALL IMPRESSION: I really like grown alchemists body scrub for its heavenly smell and the fact that it leaves my skin soft and healthy with no irritation. Between the packaging and cost, I probably wouldn’t buy it again but i would be tempted. Do you have a GA product you love? What is your go-to body scrub?

Body Scrub that’s out of this world!
My favorite body scrubs have to be from Brooklyn Botany. They leave my skin so soft and just the slight hint of their beautiful scents. My favorites are this watermelon 🍉 one and their Sweet Orange 🍊 scrub. It’s heavenly each time I shower 🚿 After using, the water just beads off my skin. Even after patting dry, I can feel the soft oils doing their job. If you love body products these are for you!!! An absolute must!

My thoughts on the SDJ body scrub
So here’s the thing. We all love and adore the iconic Cheirosa scent from Sol de Janeiro. I was extremely excited about this product launch in particular but I am extremely disappointed for one reason only: it has glitter. I don’t even like glitter in my makeup, let alone my skincare or bodycare. So this product was and will be a big no for me. However, if you actually like glitter - this subtle glow and gorgeous scent upon leaving the shower will have you drooling! This one is solely a matter of preference for me!

Stretch mark savers
Clarins is famous for pregnancy-safe skincare. I really love this set for stretch mark treatment. CLARINS - Contour Body Treatment Oil The oil is a rich formula that increases skin elasticity and prevents skin peeling and stretch marks. CLARINS - Exfoliating Body Scrub for Smooth Skin This scrub polishes the skin for other treatment. The skin feels smooth and soft after use. I am 36 weeks pregnant and I don’t have any annoying stretch marks. Love them!

My Mental Wellness Improved Through My Self AcceptanceWhen I was around 13 or 14 years old, I remember routinely taking one of my older sister’s black eyeliner pencils before school every morning. I’d arrive early so that I could slip away to the girl’s bathroom to apply a single black line to my eyelids. My parents didn’t allow me to wear any makeup at the time. Although this smudgy line on my eyelids didn’t make me look all that much different, I never felt comfortable at school without it. My teenage mind convinced myself that I needed some sort of cosmetic symbol in order to appropriately express my femininity. Up until that point in my life, society had told girls that looked like me - tall, Black, and with kinky hair - that we somehow weren’t as beautiful as the other girls. For far too long, I believed it too.1 DAY AGO
