The best tinted moisturizer I’ve ever used!
The Beauty Counter Dew Skin tinted moisturizer is the perfect product if you want a nice dewy finish and not a heavy makeup look. It’s so easy to apply, I just use my fingers! And a 1.35 fl oz. size runs about $45. It’s currently on sale on their website by the way! It’s very light coverage but I find it to do a good job of concealing light pigmentation and just make your face look more awake. I apply it right after I cleanse and apply my eye cream and serum. You can just use it as a replacement for your moisturizer during the day. I’ve been using it for about 3 months now and would definitely purchase it again! I’m almost out of my container anyways since I use it daily. It doesn’t have a harsh smell and is very blendable. I use about 2 pumps for the whole face. I find makeup to stay on over it pretty well and it does last almost all day, even in humid conditions. Hope this reviews helps if you’ve been on the market for a good tinted moisturizer! xx #Beauty Counter - Dew Skin[products]#

When you have a foundation that doesn’t match...
So recently I was gifted the BECCA - Ever-Matte Poreless Priming Perfector and BECCA - Ultimate Coverage 24 Hour Foundation from the brand to try out and review. It’s incredibly hard to try and colour match foundations through a screen, so when it arrived it was much to light for me..... so I had to do some work!! First off: the foundation is great for coverage. It’ll hide any imperfection you may have with a slightly thick layer on the skin. It’s thicker but still feels wearable. This foundation would be perfect for me if it just lasted longer. I spent a full day shopping and afterwards I noticed that it had separated and was pretty patchy. But omfg did it look perfect for at least 3-4 hours!! The primer is lovely, I used it under this foundation and under a couple others and it truly just brightens up the complexion. It’s incredibly serum like and watery and hydrated the skin fairly well, the glow was what made me want to continue to use it however! So now for the colour matching fiasco. I applied a tinted sunscreen to help darken my complexion slightly hoping it would mix with the foundation a little and it did help it look less white on my skin. I then went in with a powder that gives a slight coverage (Smashbox Hydrating powder) knowing it would darken the colour a bit too. And then I took my brush and swiped on a generous amount of my Milk Baked Bronzer and Werk Blush all over and not as precise as I normally would. Then I topped it off with BECCA - Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter in champagne pop!!! Having these four products be the star instead of the foundation definitely disguised the product tong colour match and safe to say I loved the look!!!

The glow I never I thought I needed in my life
First, let’s talk about the packaging. Charlotte Tilbury is a luxury makeup brand so it’s just fair that the way she packages her products is that they look and feel expensive. This particular beautiful product has her signature rose gold cap going on. And honestly, it’s just super instagrammable. When I lightly squeeze the product out, it comes off as white with tiny particles that I assume is what’s responsible for reflecting the light when I apply this on my face. It’s one of my 2 very first purchases from Charlotte Tilbury and she didn’t disappoint. A little product goes a long way. The product is white but it transforms into a bronzy color once being applied onto the face. It has an airbrush effect that just looks soooo good! I swear I didn’t know I needed such a beautiful product but now I just can’t stop using it. It gives off a natural bronzy, tanned glow but not too much. It makes me look like I just had a very natural-looking fake tan. It’s a very pricey makeup product at $40 for 40mL but since you don’t need to put on a lot, I think it’s worth every cent!

Glossier skin tint ❌ worst- tried skin tint!!
I decided to give Glossier a try after seeing it’s ad almost every where , over all my social media accounts!! I got a skin tint from them - not impressed at all. Since , they are available only through their online platform there is no way to buy your skin match tint. So, keeping this point aside the skin tint itself is very liquidy, and makes the skin look very sticky and oily. The coverage is nude- and really doesn’t make a difference after application. The product has a very chemical smell, and is very unpleasant. I contacted the website as soon as I received the product because it wasn’t my exact skin match but they refused a return. So, right now it’s just lying around in my drawer with my other rejects❌❌Glossier. - Perfecting Skin Tint

Your Skin But Better In A Bottle!
Here’s a little background on my skin. She’s a high maintenance b*tch that likes to suck my bank account dry. Boujee on a budget it? 75% of the time for her that’s not the case. I hate her for it. I can’t stand that my skin looks so PERFECT when I applied Pat McGraths skin fetish foundation because this little bottle cost me $68 plus tax!😵 It looks so amazing that I bought two bottles: shade 5 a light neutral undertone for when I’m fair in the winter and shade 14 a medium neutral undertone when I’m the most sun kisssd in the summer. With these two bottles I’m also able to customize my shade when I’m in between shades during the year. Now to be honest I don’t wear makeup everyday. 90% of the time I’m bare faced. I usually put in makeup if I’m going somewhere special such as an event, on a date, feeling creative or when I need to remind myself that I’m still that b*tch. So I’m actually okay with spending a little more on a nice foundation because I know it’ll last me a long time and if it’s worth it. So the question is..is it worth it? For me YES! I bought her toward the end of summer 2019 and it has served me well through the changing NYC weather and my ever adjusting skin. Whether my skin was really dry or slightly oily the foundation sat on my skin perfectly throughout the day. It’s a nice medium coverage foundation that can be built up or sheered out depending on the look you’re going for. 1/2 to 3/4 or a pump is enough for me to get a sheer/light natural coverage where it looks like my skin just the imperfections have been discreetly masked. To get full glam coverage I can get away with one and a half pumps then not even a beauty mark in my face will peak through! In my profile picture was the first time I used the foundation and I really sheered it out because it was a hot summer day. That day I got a little oily in my t zone but the foundation lasted all day. I don’t really blot or powder because I like the dewy look on myself but also I don’t because I’m lazy and I forget and most of the time at the end of the day I genuinely don’t care haha! In my last picture that I added in this post was when I was feeling creative and really used a heavy hand to apply the foundation. In that post I DID NOT PHOTOSHOP OR BLUR MY SKIN!!!! All I did was adjust the lighting in light room and added a filter to make the three images to blend better. But I couldn’t believe how airbrushed my face came out. The proof is in the pudding. I think it shows how far you can go with this foundation.

CAN’T LIVE WITHOUT | CT Hollywood Flawless
Charlotte Tilbury - Hollywood Flawless Filter I can’t live without this! When I pucked up Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter, I was expecting more of a shinnery highlight. To my surprise, it looked more like a glowy foundation. Yet on the skin, it looks more stunning than I ever thought! It has a glowy, natural finish. Unlike most highlighters that are purely glowy, this one has some slight coverage, making it blend seamlessly with foundation. I love how this layers on top of my foundation! It just looks like a natural everyday glow!I can’t live without this because it brings any makeup look a step up with a glow from within look. I also enjoy layering highlighter on top of this if I want a more intense glow. This comes in a few shades but in my opinion they need more dark shades. At first, I got a shade too dark but when I switched I was really impressed with how it blended into my skin. I’m curious to know how a lighter shade would look if I applied it to the high points of my face. This is definitely a holy grail and I would recommend this to anyone! ✨✨

My Mental Wellness Improved Through My Self AcceptanceWhen I was around 13 or 14 years old, I remember routinely taking one of my older sister’s black eyeliner pencils before school every morning. I’d arrive early so that I could slip away to the girl’s bathroom to apply a single black line to my eyelids. My parents didn’t allow me to wear any makeup at the time. Although this smudgy line on my eyelids didn’t make me look all that much different, I never felt comfortable at school without it. My teenage mind convinced myself that I needed some sort of cosmetic symbol in order to appropriately express my femininity. Up until that point in my life, society had told girls that looked like me - tall, Black, and with kinky hair - that we somehow weren’t as beautiful as the other girls. For far too long, I believed it too.3 DAYS AGO
