How to reduce milia effectively? My HG cleanser!
Months ago, I found some tiny but annoying white bumps under my eyes. My friends told me they are milia. I was confused and I hoped to get rid of it immediately. So I did some research on the internet. I read some articles Quick overview of milia🔍 MILIA are small white to yellow colored cysts formed when skin flakes or keratin get trapped under the skin. Some people may call them “milk spots.“ They occur commonly around the eyes and on cheeks but can appear anywhere. They tend to occur as a result of skin damage (like sun damage) or excessive use of harsh products on the skin. Milia VS Pimples At first, I regarded these milia as pimples. But my friend told me they were different! Attempting to pop them may cause further inflammation and scarring. The pores need to clear out the built-up keratin for the milia to go away. So, AVOID picking or poking them! How Do I Get Rid Of Milia? They usually go on their own. So like I have said before, NEVER picking or poking them to avoid scarring and infection. If you want to get rid of it quickly, you can try some chemical peels. Use a retinoid cream or AHAs and BHAs at night to reduce their occurrence. I have sensitive and acne-prone skin so I need a gentle cleanser to exfoliate my skin. I have seen many reviews saying good things about La Roche-Posay Effaclar Medicated Gel Cleanser. I included it in my PM routine and magically my milia got better. I also used Elemis PAPAYA ENZYME PEEL. I heard that it's a great option for beginners who are nervous of aggressive formulas. I have been using these products for about 5 weeks. No redness, no stinging, just smooth skin! A few more TIPs👇 Avoid using oil-based creams Avoid scrubbing the face too often CCW! If you have experienced the same things like me, you can comment and I will see what I can do.

Acne getting worse this year
Hi guys! I’m new to Cherie. I am 22 years old and have always had occasional pimples along with black heads on my nose but now my acne is out of control. On my chin line the pimples are constant and then I have large painful pimples which come up on my checks. Plus, textured forehead with occasional pimples. I began with trying the 10 step Korean skin care routine with the double cleanse which helped my redness and made my face look bright but did not help with the acne Then I tried black wolf face wash which seems to help but doesn’t stand a chance against my 12hr work days. Now: I’m trying smacne which seemed to have a lot of good reviews. SMACNE - Acne Treatment 30 Day Kit but have only used it for a few days For years I have used LANEIGE - Water Sleeping Mask which I love! It seems to improve my face over night Clean&Clear - Advantage Acne Spot Treatment CeraVe - Hydrating Sunscreen Face Lotion SPF 50- I hate the texture of this sunscreen but it was $15 so I’m trying to use it up I am on birth control and when talking to my doctor she said I should see a dermatologist because BC should only help acne not cause/ worsen it. I have reduced the dairy I consume, I drink green smoothies with fruits, veggies, flax seed, collagen, and apple cider vinegar most mornings. I also try to drink lots of water. This is kinda my last ditch effort before seeing a dermatologist. I legit am happy to be required to wear a mask at work because i am not confident with my skins current state. Thank you in advance for any advice! Right now I’m just trying to try one new thing at a time and give it plenty of weeks to see the effect. Full list of products that I have tried: THE FACE SHOP - Rice Water Bright, Light Cleansing Oil THE FACE SHOP - Rice Water Bright Rice Bran Cleansing Foam COSRX - Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence LA ROCHE-POSAY - Effaclar Medicated Gel Cleanser for Acne Prone Skin dear, klairs - Supple Preparation Facial TonerThe Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling SolutionI think my skin is too sensitive for this HOLIKA HOLIKA - Good Cera Super Ceramide Cream (MALIN+GOETZ) - Grapefruit face cleanser- this used to work for me but it stopped helping with my acne SKINFOOD - Royal Honey Essential Queen's Serumdear, klairs - Freshly Juiced Vitamin C Drop HUM - Daily Cleanse Detox Supplement
Broke out overnight! Help please!
My face virtually broke out like crazy overnight and I am not sure why. I’ve never had this before and i havent added anything new to my skin care routine (except the Differin Gel which I started using when I first broke out). It looks like an allergic reaction but I haven’t ate anything new or changed my diet. What is this on my face?? Anything would help, thank you so much!! (I can’t really afford a dermatologist) I attached the products I use in the AM: LA ROCHE-POSAY - Effaclar Medicated Gel Cleanser for Acne Prone Skin FARMACY - Deep Sweep Sweet CHEF - Ginger + Vitamin C Serum Shot The Ordinary - Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA LA ROCHE-POSAY - Anthelios 50 Mineral Ultra Light Sunscreen Fluid SPF 50 PM: CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser THAYERS - Witch Hazel Astringent DIFFERIN - Acne Treatment Gel The Ordinary - Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA
It’s Alright 😌
Okay so this was a gift from my Mom, she’s always trying to add to my skincare routine. So I gave it a try. There are some great things happening in the ingredients list and some not so great ones, but you do wash off this peel. Also there is fragrance- so if you’re sensitive to that beware. Let me say Elemis knows how to create an experience. They know what they are doing to make you feel like you’re doing something luxurious. The feel and smell of this peel is really great. It goes on easy and just felt really nice on my skin. I warmed it into my palms and applied to cleans skin, avoiding my eye area. I let it sit for 10-15 minutes and removed with lukewarm water. It was very gentle on my skin. (This is not going to be as effective as AHA/BHAs, but IS going to be more gentle) I couldn’t feel any tingling or anything. This product does contain Ananas Sativus (Pineapple) Fruit Extract. I am allergic to pineapple 🍍(my throat gets unhappy and I can get a cold sore thing on the inside and/or outside of my mouth.) I was hoping the concentration would be low enough I didn’t have a reaction, but I did. Though I avoided my eyes and mouth with the peel apparently some still got around my mouth. It started as a puffiness and escalated to peeling and flaking in the corners of my mouth. So if you are sensitive/allergic to pineapple I wouldn’t recommend this. There was enough of it in it to give me a reaction. But if you’re looking for a very gentle exfoliating treatment this is definitely an option. However, at $45 for not even 2oz. it is a bit steep, but my experience with the product wasn’t bad at all it was actually a really nice product ... until the next day or so, but honestly...how many people are allergic to pineapple of all things
My quick shower masking ⠀ ☘️ espa 3-in-1 as a cleanser and very-very gentle massage with jojoba beads before shower. ☘️ elemis papaya enzyme peel while taking a shower. Do you know guys that enzymes work better on wet skin? So shower is the best place for enzyme masks. ☘️ huxley healing mask after shower . In two words: I do not like it but should use it up somehow 🙈 ⠀
best BHA exfoliant i’ve used to date!
these two paulas choice minis have been so good to me! I wanna highlight the BHA liquid first— it’s become a staple in my skincare routine. i use it every single morning after cleansing and it keeps my skin in check so well. zero irritation, great for my sensitive skin. I either apply using my hands and patting onto my skin or using a cotton pad. it’s also super cooling and doesn’t cause any redness on my face at all which i’m so grateful for. if you’re looking for a holy grail BHA then this one is it! the antioxidant pore purifier serum was also essential in my morning routine, though I haven’t gotten around to repurchasing. it’s made with azelaic acid and salicylic acid to fight breakouts and protect from environmental stressors, which is exactly what it did for me. using this serum daily along with the BHA exfoliant left my skin really glowing each morning. it also layered extremely well with other serums I used and my moisturizer and sunscreen—no pilling. if you’re new to paulas choice then these are two products I whole heartedly recommend trying out! ❤️PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA (Salicylic Acid) Liquid Exfoliator
PAULA'S CHOICE-Skin Perfecting 2% BHA (Salicylic Acid) Liquid Exfoliator
So I knocked out all proactiv products for two weeks and saw amazing change in my change. Like amazing!!! Almost all of my acne except for small ones around my mouth vanished. This again, is with 5 hours in the sun and in chlorine as I am a part time lifeguard, so many be that’s been drying it out. Only been using three daily products and two masks weekly so... here you go! LA ROCHE-POSAY - Effaclar Purifying Foaming Gel Cleanser for Oily Skin Again, I freaking love this product. Super gentle, gets your skin really clean, and nice an refreshing!! Helps both my oily skin and dried-out-after-a-shift skin. PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA (Salicylic Acid) Liquid Exfoliator Applies a bitch greasy but after I stopped using Proactiv, it never irritated my skin. It helps with pore size! Love it. Clean&Clear - Hydrating Watermelon Daily Gel Face Moisturizer Super lightweight, smells yummy (I know how the skincare community feels about fragrance but idc) Actually is now enough for my skin since it isn’t dried out from acne products!! REVOLUTION - x Jake-Jamie Strawberry Donut Face Mask This has always been my favorite skin care product since the moment I bought it. Smells delicious, and is bank skin in a jar. I use it twice a week unless I have a day spent mostly in the pool, in which I would use REVOLUTION - X Jake-Jamie Watermelon Hydrating Face Mask mask that hydrated my skin. Plz don’t eat them tho they taste XP. But anyway this routine gave amazing results for my skin! Hope this helps someone!!

Deep clean is as important as hydration
Kiehl’s Clearly Corrective Brightening and Exfoliating Daily Cleanser I have come to the conclusion that deep cleansing is as integral and important as hydrating your skin. I used to not really pay so much attention to cleansing until about 3 years ago, when I started double cleansing my face before layering the concoction of essences, serums, creams, and so on. I’ve been a loyal fan of Kiehl’s as I find their products ultra gentle, affordable, and effective. I was on the lookout for a new cleanser when I came across this product. It says ‘brightening’ in the label; that hooked me into buying it. I think the exfoliating properties help to brighten the complexion. I just don’t see anything extraordinary about this cleanser. I don’t notice it brightens my complexion nor did it do any damage. It’s just an okay product. Kiehl’s Rare Earth Deep Pore Cleansing Masque I wasn’t really a fan of masks- sheet or clay- as I find them drying, particularly the clay ones. I have dry combination skin so I did not dare put clay masks all over my face as I was scared that it will further dry up my skin. This was until I received a sample small pot of this deep pore cleansing masque from Kiehl’s, and that’s how my mind has changed with regards to masks. So apart from having dry skin, some sensitivity, and the occasional psoriasis flare-ups, I have blackheads too. Although I don’t suffer from pimples and premature skin aging, I certainly do not appreciate the dryness of my face, and the blackheads that are sitting on my nose. The sales consultant at my local Kiehl’s store gave me a travel size of this product and told me it will help me get rid of my blackheads and the occasional white heads on my chin area. I did not believe her at first cause I usually go to my dermatologist’s clinic to get rid of these black monsters that are lurking on my nose. My aesthetician picks on these nasty blackheads so I can get rid of them. I just did not believe that a drying clay mask would get rid of them. But I took the free pot anyways cause who doesn’t like free skincare stuff right? I tried it on, and I did see that it minimized the appearance of my blackheads. I just put it on my nose and my chin area, and sometimes I use it as a spot treatment when I have small hormonal pimples. This product always works like magic for me so I decided to purchase the full sized jar.
Krave Is an Amazing Brand!
Krave - Matcha Hemp Hydrating Cleanser I highly recommend this hydrating cleanser! It's gentle but cleanses thoroughly. After using it, my skin feels refreshed and doesn't feel filmy, so it's really suitable for sensitive skin. I used to use The Ginza Lady Series Facial Cleanser and Omorovicza Cleansing Foam. However, although they cleanse well, they're irritable to areas of skin that are more fragile. Fresh Soy Face Cleanser is also very gentle, but it doesn't cleanse as thoroughly as the one by Krave. So this cleanser is really suitable for people with fragile skin and those who want a cleanser that cleanses well but doesn't irritate. Krave - Kale-Lalu-yAHA It gently resurfaces your skin with AHA. I want my exfoliator to get rid of clogged pores and prevent breakouts. The Krave Beauty exfoliator is great in getting rid of clogged pores, but the AHA in this exfoliator causes mild irritation to sensitive skin. I recommend this to those who want to start experimenting with AHA.
Swissvita Acne Solution Cleansing Cream Description ||| ✨ Facial cleanser dedicated for pimpled skin type. ✨ Purifying ability which can compete with the auto cleansing brushes. ✨ Deep cleansing the pores; washes away impurities and daily grime. ✨ Preventing blemishes and pimples from forming by balancing sebum secretion. ✨ Removing dead skin cells, blackheads and whiteheads for a brighter look. ✨ Reducing the appearances of pores. Impression ||| Less foamy bubble compared to other facial cleansers. Doesn’t dry out after cleansing No irritation even used on my flaky, sensitive facial area. Thoughts ||| I like using this specifically in the morning as it’s simple and easy to rinse off as it has less bubble. I can’t really say when it comes to whether this helps in reducing whiteheads as I don’t I think this is pretty gentle to use although if you have really sensitive skin, you need to patch test for few days before deciding on using regularly. Overall, 4/5. I do like it for its gentleness but I’d still wanna try other cleansers. Check out my full review #ontheblog Link in profile.
