DRUNK ELEPHANT - T.L.C. Framboos Glycolic Resurfacing Night Serum
@drunkelephant T.L.C. Framboos™, a blend of 12% AHAs (glycolic, lactic, tartaric and citric acids) and 1% salicylic acid. I used a bottle of this nighttime treatment before and my skin wasn’t very impressed. It’s probably mainly due to my relatively high tolerance to acids. Few weeks ago, I decided to purchase a second bottle so I can properly document my journey. ✨If you have a relatively sensitive skin or you’re a first time acid user, this serum is definitely for you. You might want to ease your skin into it by starting with a twice to three times a week application, before diving into an everyday use. I advise you to layer it on top of bhydra or the @caudalie Vinosource SOS serum for the perfect moisture canvas. Don’t worry about potential irritations, the formula also contains cactus extract to help soothe the skin while using chemical exfoliation. ✨If your skin is used to acids like mine, this product might be too gentle for you. What I did was prep my skin with bhydra and layer 6 to 7 pumps of TLC framboos on top of it. I slowly massage the serum into my skin, until it gets absorbed. The only problem is the sticky finish, but it can easily be solved by layering few drops of oil on top of this serum-mask. The first time I used this hack, I woke up with the most beautifully resurfaced complexion. I eased my way into this experiment so my skin becomes acclimated to the high amount of acids. Three weeks into doing this, my skin looks incredibly radiant, soft and surprisingly even. The trick into not over-drying your skin is to use hydrating serums and nourishing creams and oils in the morning. I like to use my @koraorganics Noni glow sleeping mask for 10 minutes to give my skin back its moisture. Have you tried the TLC framboos before? What was your experience like?

Is this $125 Detox Night Cream Worth It?
Hey Cherie Fam 🍒 I have been doing makeup looks and raving about my recent make up purchases lately. I thought it’s time to give the skin care products I’ve been loving lately some attention. You know that you can’t have great makeup unless you have great a great makeup base aka having a great skin care routine. I received Grown Alchemist Detox Night Cream on my November premium box from Boxycharm. I have a somewhat strict skin care routine and I am skeptical introducing a new product to my routine. I researched this brand thoroughly and read hundreds of reviews online. I also examined the ingredient list. Grown Alchemist is founded by brothers who discovered ground breaking research that proved the continuous use of natural ingredients. They developed formulas with a unique synergy between biology and cosmetic chemistry. Their headquarters are located in Melbourne, Australia. (Source: website) The detox night cream is described as a detoxifying cream formulated with peptide-3, echinacea vitamins, hyaluronic acid and essential omega fatty acids such as reishi extract. This product claims to regenerate the skin, reducing the appearance of fine lines + wrinkles resulting in radiant and youthful looking skin. This product retails for $125 USD for 40ml. #Grown Alchemist - Detox Night Cream[products]# I actually really like this product. I use it with my DE framboos and The Ordinary virgin marula oil at night. I noticed my skin is a lot more glowy and I have less pores and brighter skin when I wake up in the morning. It has a thick consistency, but doesn’t feel heavy and has a scent similar to roses. I am actually not a fan of the smell because I prefer no fragrance. I think this is the perfect night cream especially during the winter months. However, I will not be repurchasing when I run out. While I am a fan of this product and think it works well, I don’t think it’s worth $125 for a 40ml. There are cheaper alternatives in the market with the same ingredients. If money isn’t an issue to you, then I say go for it! I saw a huge difference within a week. It’s just not in my budget unfortunately. DRUNK ELEPHANT - T.L.C. Framboos Glycolic Resurfacing Night Serum The Ordinary - 100% Cold Pressed Virgin Marula Oil Conclusion: Great product and I saw a difference within a week, but it’s too pricy and will not re-purchase because there are alternative brands in the market with the same ingredients for a fraction of the price. Xoxo, Francesca 💋

THE BEST SKINCARE FOR REDNESS!
THE BEST SKINCARE FOR REDNESS!
so a lot of my REDNESS comes from my inflamed acne, or if it’s not from that it’s from super dry skin. The solution to acne is a light exfoliation of your pores so that excess sebum and bacteria can be removed and allow your acne to heal quickly and disappear. The solution to dry skin is hydration and moisture. that is exactly what this drunk elephant smoothie offers! TLC framboos is formulated with raspberry extract and AHA/BHAs to gently exfoliate the skin overnight and penetrate the bacteria and remove it while also removing the red angry flakes of dry skin! BHydra is formulated with pineapple extract to offer hydration and lock moisture into the skin through it’s gel like texture! mixing these two right before bed and applying it to my face as a drunk elephant movie really helps calm down the redness I have due to acne and the patches of red I have due to dry skin. I think that B hydra is certainly worth the price as an agent to eliminate dryness and therefore reduce redness, $52! however I believe that TLC framboos is very very pricey for $90, which is why I have rated it lower. DRUNK ELEPHANT - B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Serum DRUNK ELEPHANT - T.L.C. Framboos Glycolic Resurfacing Night Serum overall some great products to combat the conditions that can cause redness!

The One Serum That Save My Sensitive Skin😝😝
The One Serum That Save My Sensitive Skin😝😝
I have oily and sensitive skin, with dry cheeks and an oily, acne and bump-prone T-zone. This is honestly my all-time favorite skincare product. I used it everty time when my skin is unstable. I should say this product saved my skin!  Feeling: It has a refreshing texture, it's scent-free and it's hydrating, comforting the skin. If I use it during my allergy flares, I'll wake up to rejuvenated skin without any skin redness or swelling. Calming, soothing and moisturizing, it's very suitable for sensitive skin. Its ingredients include: green tea, rice ferment filtrate, and algae. Both green tea and algae are great for acne-prone skin as they help to purify skin and even out skin tone. Directions: After cleansing, pour a small amount onto your palms, then gently pat it onto your face until fully absorbed. TATCHA - The Essence Plumping Skin Softeneracts like a toning lotion and also contains ingredients of a serum, so it can replace serums to prepare the skin and boost absorption. You can consider buying this essence if you don't have a serum yet. What is your favorite skincare product?🥰

Omega+ Serum: Hit or Miss?
Omega+ Serum: Hit or Miss?
The product I’ll be talking about today is PAULA'S CHOICE - Omega + Complex Serum So let’s get to it! What is it? - A superfood serum for your skin with omega fatty acids that strengthen skin's surface with the essential nutrients it needs to be healthy, hydrated and visibly strong. - Available in 1oz for $37, or travel size (0.17oz) for $8. (PC offers 15% off when you sign up for emails, plus they frequently have sales) What’s in it? - Concentrated levels of omega fatty acids help replenish dull, dehydrated skin, revive a beautifully smooth, supple feeling, plus visibly soften the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. - This serum also contains skin-identical ceramides and hydrating ingredients to visibly improve skin’s health. How to use- - Apply 1-2 pumps onto face and neck. For optimal results, use AM and PM. For daytime, follow with a broad-spectrum sunscreen rated SPF 30 or greater. My review- - I have been using this serum for almost a month. I have dry, sensitive, acne-prone skin. - The serum has a milky, creamy consistency. It has a light, ceramide-like scent. I apply two pumps onto my face AM and PM after my toner and before my moisturizer. It spreads easily onto the skin and absorbs at a medium pace. - My experience with this serum thus far has been pretty lackluster. There hasn’t been any results that make me think, “oh that’s definitely the omega+ serum!” It doesn’t make my skin noticeably softer or smoother. I will say that the one time I chose not to put it on, my moisturizer stung a little, so maybe the serum acts as a barrier to decrease sensitivity? I haven’t had any negative results, which is why I gave it 4 stars. It is pretty expensive, and with not having any noticeable positive effects, I won’t be repurchasing this. My plan is to try Krave’s Great Barrier Relief serum after I finish this one! - This serum was a miss for me ❌ Source- - https://www.paulaschoice.com/omegaand-complex-serum/213.html

Skincare Ingredients 101 ✅
Skincare Ingredients 101 ✅
I have sensitive combination skin that is acne-prone and these are ingredients that my skin LOVES! We see them a lot on labels but what do they do and how should we use them? 🍊 Vitamin C 🍊 Vitamin C is awesome for brightening skin and helping with acne scars. Vitamin C also is great for its ability to even out skin tone and diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Research shows this ingredient can shield skin from visible impacts of environmental stressors, including free radical damage. 🔑 The key to using Vitamin C is making sure you use an SPF with it as the last step in your morning routine. Vitamin C can make your skin more prone to the sun’s rays so I’ve heard of people using it at night but for me because it fights free radicals, I love it for the daytime. Additionally, it’s important to note that some Vitamin C products have very short shelf lives. My favorite is currently the very stable Vitamin C found in the Leah Skin Rose + Glow Oil. It’s a clean and cruelty-free facial oil with a Vitamin C that lasts! Some expire as quickly as 3 months due to oxidation which makes the product less effective but the type in this product is good for a year! I also love Farmacy’s Vitamin C Serum. ❤️ Retinol ❤️ Retinol is a product that comes in many forms but is essentially great for skin cell turnover. This can help with fine lines because of this but is essentially a wonderful ingredient for acne because it speeds up that turnover process. For me, this means my breakouts heal faster and it prevents them too. 🔑 Retinol should be slowly incorporated into your skincare routine. I started with it once per week to start. It can initially cause purging, or seemingly more breakouts, which can last up to a few weeks depending on your skin and that’s ok. Stick with it as your skin cleans itself out because eventually it will be once of your favorites for preventing breakouts. You’ll gradually build up use with retinol. I personally like to pair with a heavier moisturizer like Healing Ointment by CeraVe and they’re an awesome pair. I recommend using retinol at night because the sun’s rays can make this less effective. I try to not mix too many actives on my face at once and Vitamin C and retinols do not always mix well and can irritate the skin. By having them applied at different times of day, you give your skin multiple perks over a long period of time. ✨Ceramides✨ Ceramides are fats found in high concentrations in the upper layers of skin. Aging and sun damage reduce the effectiveness of your skin’s natural ceramides which weakens your skin’s barrier. This can result in redness, irritation and dryness. Adding them helps your skin’s barrier and increases hydration which gives you plumper skin with less visible lines and fewer signs of sensitivity. 🔑 I love to have these in my moisturizers. After I cleanse, while my skin is still wet, I use a serum and then a moisturizer with Ceramides. It’s THE best. LEAH - ROSE+GLOW FACIAL OIL CeraVe - Healing Ointment

A-Passioni by Drunk Elephant❤️
A-Passioni by Drunk Elephant❤️
❤️This is A-Passioni Retinol Cream by Drunk Elephant. It is meant to increase skin cell turnover which helps with fine lines and breakouts. 🐘I have sensitive combo skin with hormonal breakouts and WOW. Although this is a strong retinol and did give me some peeling at first, this is such a game changer. 💕I find this helped me get rid of a lot of acne scars as well as decreased my breakout healing time. It also prevents breakouts from happening for me. ☀️The key to this is to incorporate small amounts very slowly and build your way up to regular use. This can cause peeling and skin purging for a few weeks but it is worth it! I’m seeing parts of my face clear that I haven’t seen that way in probably a year or two. 🐘I use with a lot of hydrating products afterwards including a moisturizer and facial oil. I find this also pairs nicely with occasional exfoliation. 💕This has a ton of ingredients in it (I mean a TON) so that’s why I’m giving it 4 rather than 5 stars because there’s no way they are all necessary. I would repurchase though! DRUNK ELEPHANT - A-Passioni Retinol Cream
