Are these Face Creams by Caudalie worth it?
Our skin is our first defense against different damaging environmental factors we are exposed to and many times we don’t take the proper care to either protect it or repair it. When this happens, our skin becomes dry, flaky and wrinkles begin to appear caused because of the lack of elasticity. When our skin is properly hydrated our skin looks fresh, young and smooth. Opposed to what some people think, it doesn’t matter what type of skin you have, you should ALWAYS hydrate your skin, even if it’s oily the skin needs enough water and components to be protected and this way slow down any aging signs. While water is probably the first and most popular option to hydrate ourselves, it’s not the only thing you should rely on. Thankfully, we live in an age in which skin care is a thing so we have all these extra products to help our skin with. Today I will talk about 2 different Moisturizing and hydrating Face Creams by the brand Caudalie, and we will compare them between each other as well and see if they are really worth it, if you really need them all, or if you can just opt for a similar and more affordable option with the same benefits. If you are not familiar with this brand yet, Caudalie is an established French skincare brand and what makes it unique is their commitment to use high quality natural ingredients, grapes to be exact, and preserve the environment creating products that don’t have much impact in our ecosystem. Since 2006 they have been paraben free, making their products really safe for use. They use natural formulas and have amazing vinotherapy based spas around the world. 1- CAUDALIE - Vinosource Moisturizing Sorbet

Caudalie gel moisturizer, not for everyone.
CAUDALIE - Vinosource Moisturizing Sorbet is expensive and smells nice, BUT it really fails to be a good moisturizer. I use this at night along with some hyaluronic acid serums, to lock in some moisture. I have combination skin that cannot tolerate thick moisturizers for daily use, I have been looking for a lightweight moisturizer for night. Pros: I love the scent in this product. It’s not a very potent scent but it comes off as fresh and fades quickly. It does not leave a sticky film on my face instead it easily absorbed. Its ingredients include grape water, grape seed polyphenols, and chamomile. All of this combined work to moisturize the skin, fight wrinkles (caused by sun damage, stress, and pollution), and soothe. You can definitely feel the soothing from the chamomile and some moisture but there are still areas where it does not perform well. Cons: For $39 I would expect this product to last a lot longer. I have to use a dimes amount to cover my face each time. That being said, the reason that you need so much of it is that it does not spread very well. Though I like the scent and think this is a very luxurious product, if you have combination to oily skin, I would really recommend Glossier. - The Refine Duo (the moisturizer in this) or CeraVe - PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion .
Samples: The Good, The Bad, And The Fragrance
After a recent purchase from my local Shoppers Drug Mart, I was given a few samples of skincare products. After giving each of them two tries, I have thoughts. Here they are: reversa - Radiance Cream SPF 30 I absolutely loved this cream! This was a deeply hydrating cream with a decent amount of sun protection, 4% Glycolic Acid and Vitamin C. There is a slight tingle when you first apply it because of the AHA , which is normal. But I found that it did very well on my sensitive skin. Avène - Cleanance Comedomed Anti-Imperfections Concentrate This product is an anti blemish concentrate to help prevent breakouts and clear skin. I love this brand but I was disappointed to see that the second ingredient is isopropyl alcohol and this line is specifically made for sensitive skin. It didn't irritate my skin but the texture is really sticky and the tackiness made it very difficult to blend into the skin. philosophy - Purity Made Simple Ultra-Light Moisturizer This was such a bland moisturizer for the price point it sells for. Nothing special at all, save your money and get a drugstore priced lotion. CAUDALIE - Vinosource Moisturizing Sorbet This one was horrible! Such a heavy fragrance and did a sub par job at keeping my skin hydrated. This is a product for people who love heavy scents and want to feel fancy with no real goal for their skincare. Gross. NUXE - Crème Fraîche de Beauté 48HR Moisturising Rich Cream Holy crap, this is one of the worst creams I have ever tried. The moment I put it on my face, it started to burn. If that wasn't bad enough, even my hands started to feel like they were on fire and I immediately decided to just wash it all off. The fragrance is way too strong and severely irritating, so if you have sensitive skin, stay away from this one. Hope this helps! Happy shopping!
Caudalie gifted me all three of these products which are actually being sold in a set right now at Sephora if you’d like to check them out!! First of all, I have honestly enjoyed using each of there products, which is why they’re all starred highly! CAUDALIE - Instant Foaming Cleanser This cleanser is great! The foaming texture is really nice and feels awesome on the skin! It really seems to do a nice job at removing the remaining makeup from my face! It smells amazing too! CAUDALIE - Vinosource SOS Intense Moisturizing Cream The moisturizing cream is extremely hydrating! I have naturally dry skin so this has been great at keeping my skin soft and supple! A little of this goes a long way! CAUDALIE - Vinosource SOS Deep Hydration Serum This is an awesome hydrating serum! I use this morning and night and only need one pump each time, so this would last you forever!
Caudalie SOS moisturizer
This is such a beautiful thick moisturizer, it looks deceiving because it’s creamy and lightweight when you put some on your finger and when you put it on your face you can over do it and put too much on! I did that the first time now I’ve learned. It spreads like a gel cream over your face but it keeps your face hydrated for the entire day this is perfect for dry skin gals especially in the winter. Of course I bought this in the summer silly me but I can’t wait to use more of it in the winter it’s sooo thick and nourishing also smells like grapes like all of Caudalies stuff. 4/5 because I do love it it’s just expensive but you get a lot of product and it’s good ingredients too.
Pink Cloud by Herbivore
What is it? ~ lightweight rose water creme that is made to help solve redness, dryness and smooth your texture. This moisturizer has lightweight creamy consistency that may be used by people with combo, normal, dry, oily and sensitive skin. I have been using this cream on a daily basis for a couple of months. I have sensitive skin and even the fragrance has never irritated my skin. This product retails at $48 for 1.7 oz(50mls) I love this cream because it soaks in perfectly into my dry skin leaving it smooth and hydrated. Also love that this is a vegan, cruelty free product! If you are a rose scent lover this product is great for you! The scent is very fragrant but not overwhelming in my opinion.

Primera berry cream
I do really like using this as a day cream during the winter, it’s a creamy gel like texture, yes looks like thick cream but it spreads nicely on the face similar to gel creams which I really like. The smell is a nice light citrus scent almost exactly like the belif aquabomb which I love. 5/5 because it is nice thick and hydrating also it’s a good price too! $44 I believe which is not too bad compared to other expensive creams I’ve loved I’d recommend you get a sample size if you’re interested because everyone’s skin is different, but I loved using this! Might even purchase full size
primera-Alpine Berry Water Cream
I’m currently using A retinol product so my skin is beyond dry but this is the most effective moisturizer by far , the texture is rich and feels luxurious as I said before it remember me of the Famous LaMer Soft Cream , I only use it at night but yesterday I’ve tried mixing it with my hyaluronic serum in my hand and it transforms into a lighter texture with all the same hydration , the smell is nice and not overwhelming, I would totallyyyyyyyyyy recommand this cream to anyone with dry to extra dry skin 💕 * product gifted but opinions are my own
CAUDALIE-Vinosource SOS Intense Moisturizing Cream
NOT for oily/sensitive skin
|| Caudalie Vinosource SOS Intense Moisturizing Cream || Claims: To deliver hydration (yes), calm redness (nope), and repair dry skin (eh). My Experience: While this did keep me SUPER hydrated, I personally didn’t see any differences with my overall redness. For that reason, I don’t think it’s worth repurchasing since I have other moisturizers that delivers hydration and repairs dry skin for a lesser value. The texture is super duper thiCC, but at the same time it doesn’t leave me feeling overwhelmed with a bunch of product on my face. It easily melts into the skin and leaves it feeling well nourished and protected, which is why I still like this product and would recommend it if you have DRY skin, aren’t sensitive to fragrance, and you’re just looking for a deep moisturizing cream and want to try something different. I def wouldn’t recommend this if you have oily/sensitive skin. All in all, I view Caudalie as an “experience” where some products work for you, and some just don’t. Like most Caudalie products, this product is heavily fragranced so I would take that into consideration.
CAUDALIE-Vinosource SOS Intense Moisturizing Cream
I have been really loving Farmacy Sleepy Tight! I have been using it in place of an oil at night. It starts as a balm then melts to an oil that is very hydrating. It’s soothing too! I’ve been putting it on my upper lip to keep the dryness at bay from all this nose blowing I’ve been doing. Anyway, I really have been enjoying trying out more Farmacy products through The Mighties kit. I love this clean brand and will definitely be picking up more from Farmacy!

Primera Alpine Berry Cream
This is a dewey cream that easily absorbs into skin to provide it with a glow! I really like this moisturizer! I feel like it absorbs really easily into skin and leaves me glowing. It feels very nourishing. It is $40, but I really feel like it is worth the money!primera - Alpine Berry Water Cream
