🚨NEW RELEASE: Rare Beauty + ND Glam Palette 💞

FrancescaDee
Hey beautiful! I got my mini Sephora haul this weekend and tested out some new make up releases. I got some products from Selena Gomez’ rare beauty and the new Natasha Denona glam palette! Not going to lie, when Sephora announces Selena Gomez’ new make up line I rolled my eyes. Another celebrity makeup release. I thought it was just another cash grab, but when I found out that some proceeds will go towards mental health, I was intrigued. I am a huge advocate of mental health so I bit the bullet and purchased it along with the glam palette. This is my first Natasha Denona palette actually. I’ve been wanting the gold palette and the biba palette, but didn’t think that the $129 price tag is worth it. I wasn’t too intrigued with the bronze palette so I purchased this as my first one! Starting off with the Rare Beauty products, I am impressed with the foundation and concealer. Both are light weight and easily melted in to my skin and I didn’t spend much time blending. I was impressed with the finish as well. It is natural and a radiant finish. It truly is a “your skin but better” foundation. It looks like skin and doesn’t look like I’m wearing any face makeup. I am impressed with the shade range too. I usually have trouble matching foundations, but the Sephora skin shade match online really knocked it out of the park. The liquid blush is beautiful and really gives that glow from within look. I got the shade “joy”. This really packs a punch so a little goes a long way. I have medium to tan skin tone and this shade is LOUD. I had to spent extra time blending it out otherwise I look like I broke out and had a rash reaction 🥴 I might have to return this and trade it for another shade. If you have lighter skin tone than me BEWARE. Rare Beauty - Soft Pinch Liquid Blush
The lip soufflé is a beautiful and comfortable on my lips. I’m not a huge fan of liquid lip products because my lips are on the drier side, but this doesn’t crack and feels so soft. I’m also in love with this shade. I got the “courage” shade. However, I don’t think it’s worth $20 because NYX has a similar product so I wouldn’t repurchase Rare Beauty - Lip Souffle Matte Cream Lipstick
Natasha Denona eyeshadows feels luxurious. I didn’t spend much time blending because it pretty much blended itself. I can see why ND eyeshadows are on the pricy side. I also don’t own too many cool toned shades so I’m glad I got this palette. It’s subtle enough for everyday wear so I can see myself picking this up on the daily NATASHA DENONA - Glam Eyeshadow Palette
Overall, I think Rare’s foundation and concealer are worth it. They are a little bit cheaper compared to other higher end foundations. However, I’m iffy about the lip and the cheek products. I love ND’s glam palette and can see myself using it often. Francesca 💋

Everything You Need to Know Before Microblading
Happy Sunday! I hope you all had a great weekend. So I got my eyebrows microbladed on January 2019 and got it retouched on May 2019. It is recommended you retouch annually. I planned to make an appointment with my brow artist this year, but COVID-19 hit and I’m still unable to reschedule. Microblading is a tattooing technique that enhances and reshapes your brows. A small handheld tool made of several tiny needles is used to mimic natural hair strokes. This gives the most natural results, but you can also opt out for ombré powder brows if you want that makeup look. The cost is typically $400-800 dollars depending where you live. I live in SF Bay Area and went to an amazing artist in San Jose. She charged me $500 for the microblading service and this includes 1 free touch up. She also offers combination which is microblading + shading and ombré powder. Her IG is @ brows.by.betsey I highly recommend doing an immense amount of research before choosing your artist. Cost shouldn’t be your no.1 priority because this is a semi permanent procedure and brows make or break your face. I had a girlfriend who got a super cheap deal on Groupon and bless her heart, but her results were atrocious. My most asked question is the pain. Make sure you find an artist who used numbing cream/lidocaine. My sister found an artist who wasn’t licensed to use lidocaine so she had a very painful procedure. My procedure was almost painless. I just felt the pressure of the tool on my skin and this might sound gross but I can hear it cutting my skin. Other than that, it’s very bearable and tolerable. The touch up actually hurt a little more, but I think it’s because she is going over skin that’s already been traumatized...but it was also that time of the month so that could have been a factor. Either way ask for extra numbing cream on your touch up appointment. So far, microblading changed my life. I know it sounds so dramatic, but it definitely enhanced my whole face and I save so much time and money because I don’t wear as much brow products and I haven’t spent $ on waxing/threading ever since. Makeup free days are so much easier and I feel much prettier. My brows today are a little faded, but it still looks much better than my pre-microblading days. If you are in the Bay Area, I suggest you go to Betsey! However, she is so popular that I actually had to book 4 months in advance. The wait might be even longer due to the impact of Covid-19. If you have any more questions, please do not hesitate to comment/reach out. I will answer as best as I can. Would you ever get your brows microbladed? Why or why not? Xoxo, Francesca 💋

Soft Rose Gold Glam 🌹 💘
Hey there! I did a dramatic purple cut crease yesterday using JSC’s blood lust palette so I thought I would tone it down today and play with rose tones while keeping it soft. I used one of my favorite palettes of all time which is the Morphe x Jaclyn Hill palette. I swear I’ve done numerous looks using this palette. I have the OG 2017 version and it’s still bomb dot com 💣 even years later. I love playing with the eyeshadows because of the texture. It just feels nice, creamy and buttery and they blend like a dream! I’m holding on to this baby because even if I want to replace it and purchase a newer one, the formula isn’t the same. The ones that are currently out in the market are not vegan and contains coconut oil. It isn’t bad, but it just isn’t the same. Morphe totally reformulated it and I’ll be forever upset. This look is relatively easy to do and to get this look I used: 1) M.F.E.O using windshield wiper motions. I used my Sigma E35. Any fluffy crease brush will do. 2) Using the same brush, I added Butter on my crease. 3) I applied Mocha focusing on the outer corner of my eye. I used my Sigma E25 brush 4)Using the same brush, I dipped into butter again to blend out mocha 5)I applied mocha on my lower lash 6)I used Central Park to deepen the outer crease. I used my Sigma E30 brush. Any pencil brush will do 7)Using my fingers, I applied Little Lady all over my lids 8)Then I placed Sissy the mid lid 9)I placed Beam on my inner corner and brow highlight 10)I used brown eyeliner and created a subtle wing. I used Colourpop BFF liner - Grande 11)I applied 3 layers of mascara using my favorite mascara ever which is Essence Lash Princess Mascara 12)This step is optional, but I wanted an extra oomph on my lashes so I added falsies. I used House of Lashes in Au Naturale MORPHE - Morphe x Jaclyn Hill Eyeshadow Palette The cover photo is taken by my Sony A6000 and the second photo is taken by my iPhone X. I wore this look to run errands today and that was fun. I can’t wait to see you try this look 😘 Xoxo, Francesca 💋

Overboard haul
Went a little overboard on the recent makeup haul! First off the NATASHA DENONA - Glam Eyeshadow Palette is amazing!! The pigments are incredible and I’m so happy with my first Natasha Denona Palette. DIOR - Forever Skin Correct Concealer is my favorite concealer OF ALL TIME! And I had to restock! JOSIE MARAN - Argan Daily Moisturizer Mineral SPF 47 Protect and Perfect is a little thick but it smells amazing! SOL BODY - Face &Bbody Bronzing Balm it’s a nice bronzer but I feel like there are others out that perform similar. Plus I like a powder bronzer better, however the sol body brush is AMAZING!! OLE HENRIKSEN - Banana Bright Eye Crème I love this eye Creme! Dry Lux and brightening! HOURGLASS - Veil Mineral Primer SPF 15 I loved this sample if the hourglass primer and will definitely pick it up when I empty some others!!

rare beauty lip soufflé in 🍓 INSPIRE 🍓
matte lipstick can be tricky - is it too dry? not pigmented enough? - but this product is really stellar. Rare Beauty - Lip Souffle Matte Cream Lipstick feels much less dry on my lips than my beloved nars powermatte. it actually felt pretty creamy throughout the day. i think that this ‘inspire’ shade is the best in the line - a wonderful mix of red, pink, and orange tones, and pretty universally flattering. i didn’t notice any unreasonable transfer to my water glass, and i get about 3-4 hrs of use before needing to reapply. like the other products in this line, it’s reasonably priced - $20 for 4 mL, compared to $26 for 5.5 mL for the nars product. i will keep both of them in rotation! #cheriecreator

surprisingly obsessed!! rare beauty ❤️
i slept on this line, y’all! i was skeptical of another celebrity beauty line, i really didn’t need any more makeup (as i haven’t really been out of the house much this year), and i thought that i had something similar for every product. rare beauty totally proved me wrong. i’m glad that i purchased these, and i‘ll make an individual post for each. the thing that impressed me most of was the pigmentation / product quality. as someone with a deeper skin tone and a love for pops of color, i have a high standard for liquid blush and matte lip products. these products are gorgeous and i would recommend and repurchase. i’ll definitely be looking into other shades, but i do think that i picked the right shades for my tone. #cheriecreator

First (and Second) Impressions - Rare Beauty 1/2
So after extensive research via YouTube on Selena Gomez’s new makeup line Rare Beauty, I knew I wanted to try it ALL (or almost all). The first time I tried everything, I was NOT impressed, but after making sure my face was properly washed and moisturized, I did tried everting a second time and felt a little better about it. However, not everything is love, so I will give my honest review of it all and tell you what I’m keeping/returning. Rare Beauty - Always an Optimist Illuminating Primer If you’re looking for an illuminating/brightening primer, this one is great! I’ve tried Too Faced’s Dew You Primer, and I prefer this one. I love the texture, and it’s not as shiny as Dew You while still giving some brightness. However, it did nothing for filling pores, which I realized is really what I need in a primer, so I’ll (probably) be returning. Rare Beauty - Liquid Touch Weightless Foundation While I do LOVE the serum formula, it settled into my pores REALLY bad the first time I put it on! (See comparison left ) I made sure to use a mask and Niacinamide serum before applying it a second time, and it did do better (see comparison right) I felt the color was OK for my complexion (180W), as this was the shade suggested by the Sephora associate, but I almost wish it were darker and/or matched me better. I do like the doe foot applicator a lot though! Will be returning. Rare Beauty - Liquid Touch Brightening Concealer I wasn’t particularly impressed with the concealer. While the texture is nice, it did nothing for my blemishes and settled into my under eye fine lines despite using setting powder. Will definitely be returning in favor of something better suited to my needs. Rare Beauty - Liquid Touch Foundation Brush Rare Beauty - Liquid Touch Concealer Brush These brushes are keepers! I love the softness and density of them, and the shape is so unique. It’s really easy to get into the creases of your nose and eyes with the point. And they do a great job of blending. Rare Beauty - Soft Pinch Liquid Blush The blush takes some getting used to, but it is actually so nice once you get it. A leeeeeeetle goes a loooooong way! The foundation brush is great for blending it out. I wasn’t sure about the color (Love), so I may exchange for another? Still debating. But I will definitely continue using! Rare Beauty - Positive Light Liquid Luminizer I asked the Sephora associate for a recommendation on the color for me, and I love the one she chose - Enchant, which is a soft pink. I wasn’t sure how it would look, but it actually ended up being one of my favorite products! I love how SUBTLE it is! Never been a big highlight person before, but this changed my mind! See part 2 for more!

Pop of Blue 💙 Khloe Kardashian Inspired
Hey beautiful! I finally tried RawBeautyKristi’s collab with Pür and used her double sided pressed pigments palette today 🎨 I was searching “fashion week” makeup and came across this image of Khloe K from 2017. She is wearing neutral bronze and browns with a pop of blue eyeshadow. I decided to try out this look using my new pür palette. Upon swatching , I had a feeling these were going to be pigmented on the lids and easy to work with...and I’m glad that I was right. These pigments pack a punch, but easy to blend out. Sometimes the downside of highly pigmented shadows is the difficulty of blending it out, but that was not the case at all with these shadows and they are buildable. The shimmer formulas remind me of the super shock shadows. This is so worth the wait and I’m glad I picked these up 💙 This collection is limited edition and I think they have a few left on pür’s website, but I’m not sure. I would pick this up if they do! PÜR - PÜR X Raw Beauty Kristi Double-Sided Pressed Pigment Palette To achieve this look, I used: 1) My Sigma E35 brush and applied camelot as a transition shade. Any fluffy brush will do 2) Using the same brush, I dipped in to my whole heart to blend out the edges 3) With my Sigma E25, I packed told you on my outer crease then blended it out 4) To deepen the crease, I grabbed my Sigma E30 and packed you’re not my real dad on the outer corner. Any pencil brush will do 5) I used my finger to apply golden ticket all over my lid 6) using my E30 brush, I applied hurtful all over my lower lash 7) using the same pencil brush, I used my whole heart to blend out the edges of hurtful 9) I grabbed my Morphe JH39 brush to apply cafe disco on my inner corner and brow highlight 10) I applied a sharp winged liner. I used my Stila liquid liner 11) to darken up my water line, I used a black pencil liner. I used Bodyography in the shade onyx 12) I was going to use a subtle falsies, but I couldn’t find my lash glue 😡 I think this would definitely make the look! Just apply 3 layers of black mascara. I used Essence lash princess 14) For the lips, I used Colourpop’s lip liner in Ashton and ultra glossy lip in rattler. Both are from the That’s taupe collection. I am super impressed with CP’s ultra glossy lip from this collection. The color is actually opaque and the wand reminds me of my Kylie’s lipgloss. It is actually soft and not stiff like my Kathleen Lights gloss. It seems they added a scent too. It smells like vanilla cupcakes! I’m glad CP finally fixed their shoddy gloss wands! This is the perfect middle ground between neural and dramatic. It is soft enough to wear in the day time while adding that little edge. I hope you try this out and thanks for reading! CHANEL SPRING 2021 RUNWAY INSPIRED MAKEUP✨
I rarely do a smoky eye because I think it washes me out but the Chanel spring/summer 2021 runway makeup only had the smoky eye on the top of their lid. I thought I would try it out to see how it would look on me. Working with black shadows can be a nightmare but here’s how I pulled off the look with no fallout. Products used: got2b - Göt2b Ultra Glued Invincible Styling Gel MAC - Pro Longwear Paint Pot Eyeshadow in soft ochre RIMMEL - Scandaleyes Shadow Stick in black mail pretty VULGAR - Nightingale Eyeshadow Palette Rare Beauty - Liquid Touch Weightless Foundation CHANEL - ULTRA LE TEINT Ultrawear All-Day Comfort Flawless Finish Foundation NARS - Radiant Creamy Concealer benefit - Watt’s Up! Cream Highlighter laura mercier - Translucent Pressed Setting Powder MARC JACOBS BEAUTY - O!Mega Bronzer Perfect Bronzer ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - Dewy Set Setting Spray Coconut Vanilla NYX - Slim Lip Pencil How I recreated the look: -First I preppedmy skin with moisturizer and primer -then I went in with the hair gel and brushed my brow hairs upwards as the models brows appeared -I primed my lids with some the paint pot. This product is slightly sticky but used with cream products it works really well to blend out. This product also ensures your look will last all day with no creasing. - I applied the eyeshadow stick on my lids with a flat crease brush. This product is pigmented and super creamy so it is easy to work with. The tip is very large and works well to cover lid space. The only thing is this product can be hard to sharpen because of its size. -To smoke out the liner a used the shade ‘after midnight.’ It is a grayish black matte shade which matched perfect to the inspiration because their eyeshadow didn’t appear to be really black. This shadows was smooth and didn’t create any harsh/ uneven blending. -next I went in with a mixture of the two foundations for a dewy finish as it appears the models have very dewy skin. -next I added some concealer under my under eyes to brighten up the area -I used benefits what’s up highlighter to highlight my cheekbones, down the bridge of my nose, my brow bone, and the inner corner of my eyes -next I set my face with powder. -I lightly contoured and set the make up with setting spray -I applied some mascara to my top and bottom lashes -lastly I lined and filled in my lips I think the end results turned out similar to how the models looked. I like it because the face and the lips are very clean and the eyes are the makeup focus. This a great way to incorporate a smoky eye into your makeup look as it only is intense on the top of the eyes. Lots of mascara on the lower lash line balances out the look. #CheriePartner

⭐️ Rare Beauty Mini Cheek & Lip Duo ⭐️
Rare Beauty - Best of Rare Beauty Lip & Cheek 2 Piece Mini Duo I’ve been wanting to try Rare Beauty for a while but I didn’t know where to start! They recently came out with their mini holiday sets so I figured I’d try. The Lip Balm is so creamy, pigmented, lightweight, and comfortable on the lips! It’s a definite 10/10! I swatched the blush on the back of my hand & I liked the consistency of it. I’ll try to do an updated post on here for my final thoughts. For $15 I think this is such a great little set! I plan on purchasing more from the brand 🥰

This is my very first post and I have no idea what to write. Basically my name is Kayla and I’m 25 years old and I love makeup & skincare. I’m very picky when it comes to what I consider my holy grail products, but I love trying new things and sharing my thoughts and opinions! My favourite new products to try are foundations. I am THE MOST PICKY with foundations (as in I only have one in my collection currently) but I absolutely love trying new ones. I’m also extremely insecure and self conscious about taking selfies so 😬😬 also please don’t mind my eyebrows I can’t get them THREADED RIGHT NOW. ANYWAYS, that’s all I have for now, take care and stay safe!! 💕

I shared this look a few looks back with a break down of the products I used and mini reviews of each! I started by evening out my base with concealer and a bit of loose powder under my eyes. Then I warmed up my complexion with NUDESTIX - Nudies All Over Face Color Glow in a bronzer shade and a blush, the shade In the Nude is a perfect sunkissed shade for the cheeks! I added highlighter to the tops of my cheek bones, on the bridge and tip of my nose and above my brows. I used Jouer - Jouer Powder Highlighter in the shade Skinny Dip. Added the warm Terracotta shade from the RÓEN - 75° Warm Eye Shadow Palette to my lids. Then used the glossiet gloss to my lips, FENTY BEAUTY - Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer .

I LOVE natural, glowy makeup especially in the warmer months when the sun will give my highlight extra blinding abilities! ✨ I use warm tones all over, blend until my hands hurt and add highlight and shimmer to the places then sun would natural reflect! Here's what I love to use: Jouer - Jouer Powder Highlighter this is the best powder highlighter I've ever used. It's super soft and blends into the skin like a liquid or cream! It's the most blinding highlight and you need the teeniest amount! I barely dip the tips of my brush bristles into the powder and get this seriously blinding highlight. RÓEN - 75° Warm Eye Shadow Palette all of these shades are super shimmery and reflect light so beautifully! I use this all over the lid and even into the crease for extra shimmer. DOSE OF COLORS - Sassy Siennas Eyeshadow Palette a warm shadow lovers dream! It's super easy to blend these matte shades and they're very pigmented! FENTY BEAUTY - Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer run to Sephora and buy this if you don't have it already! This will give you the juciest, glossiest lips! The shimmer is super fine and just adds to the glow, plus they smell like candy! NUDESTIX - Nudies Blush in the shade In the Nude is the perfect peachy nude shade for the cheeks (and lips)! It's my perfect sunburnt color so it looks so natural on me! #CheriePartner

This trick I learned from beauty guru @irisbeilin. She recently posted it on her tik tok and it’s stepped up my makeup selfie game. Super simple, in order to emphasize and highlight certain features when taking a selfie, hold a reflective surface (like a hand mirror) horizontal & face up about chest level. Make sure the mirror is catching the light and that the light is reflecting into your face. Be used with natural light, a lamp or a ring light, I promise it really works.
