🚨NEW RELEASE: Rare Beauty + ND Glam Palette 💞

FrancescaDFlower
Hey beautiful! I got my mini Sephora haul this weekend and tested out some new make up releases. I got some products from Selena Gomez’ rare beauty and the new Natasha Denona glam palette! Not going to lie, when Sephora announces Selena Gomez’ new make up line I rolled my eyes. Another celebrity makeup release. I thought it was just another cash grab, but when I found out that some proceeds will go towards mental health, I was intrigued. I am a huge advocate of mental health so I bit the bullet and purchased it along with the glam palette. This is my first Natasha Denona palette actually. I’ve been wanting the gold palette and the biba palette, but didn’t think that the $129 price tag is worth it. I wasn’t too intrigued with the bronze palette so I purchased this as my first one! Starting off with the Rare Beauty products, I am impressed with the foundation and concealer. Both are light weight and easily melted in to my skin and I didn’t spend much time blending. I was impressed with the finish as well. It is natural and a radiant finish. It truly is a “your skin but better” foundation. It looks like skin and doesn’t look like I’m wearing any face makeup. I am impressed with the shade range too. I usually have trouble matching foundations, but the Sephora skin shade match online really knocked it out of the park. The liquid blush is beautiful and really gives that glow from within look. I got the shade “joy”. This really packs a punch so a little goes a long way. I have medium to tan skin tone and this shade is LOUD. I had to spent extra time blending it out otherwise I look like I broke out and had a rash reaction 🥴 I might have to return this and trade it for another shade. If you have lighter skin tone than me BEWARE. Rare Beauty - Soft Pinch Liquid Blush
The lip soufflé is a beautiful and comfortable on my lips. I’m not a huge fan of liquid lip products because my lips are on the drier side, but this doesn’t crack and feels so soft. I’m also in love with this shade. I got the “courage” shade. However, I don’t think it’s worth $20 because NYX has a similar product so I wouldn’t repurchase Rare Beauty - Lip Souffle Matte Cream Lipstick
Natasha Denona eyeshadows feels luxurious. I didn’t spend much time blending because it pretty much blended itself. I can see why ND eyeshadows are on the pricy side. I also don’t own too many cool toned shades so I’m glad I got this palette. It’s subtle enough for everyday wear so I can see myself picking this up on the daily NATASHA DENONA - Glam Eyeshadow Palette
Overall, I think Rare’s foundation and concealer are worth it. They are a little bit cheaper compared to other higher end foundations. However, I’m iffy about the lip and the cheek products. I love ND’s glam palette and can see myself using it often. Francesca 💋

Benefit 💕 Best in Brows
Benefit was a brand I majorly slept on before I started working at Ulta. I didn’t really vibe with them until I started to learn more about the products from the wonderful Arch Experts at my store. The more I tried the more I fell in love with them. Now Benefit is mostly the only thing I use for my brows. I also exclusively go to Ulta’s Benefit Brow bar for my brows. I usually get them waxed and tinted every 5-6 weeks and I’m always happy with them. They can’t really do it now but they brow map your brows and give you a service way better than I was taught in school nor have seen anywhere else. My favorite product in their brow range is the benefit - Gimme Brow+ Volumizing Eyebrow Gel . Wether it’s an early morning, minimal make up shift or full on glam I’m always use this. It’s a tinted brow gel with little fibers (you can’t see) that attach to the brow hairs to give you color and fullness. When it comes to no make up this makes all the hairs lay down properly and gives some tint so they don’t look weird contrasted to my foundation. When it comes to full beat and my eyebrows are drawn on they give dimension to the hairs to make them look more natural. Not to mention Benefit’s brow range color is far superior to any brand I’ve seen. (Plus their blonde’s aren’t grey!) I also really like the benefit - Precisely, My Brow Pencil Waterproof Eyebrow Definer . You should have seen my brow girl’s face when I told her after months of using the product I realized their was a spoolie on the end 😂 but this has a micro precise tip to easily let you outline and fill in the hairs at the beginning of the brow. This is the pencil I use the most when I do use pencil. A pencil I’m still getting used to is the benefit - Goof Proof Brow Pencil . This has a bigger tip on the end with a waxier formula which is more geared towards those who have brow hairs. The waxy formula sticks better to the hairs and you can easily fill in what you have. For me this is trial and error since I’m not used to the bigger tip but I still think it’s a great pencil. The ultimate clear brow gel is the benefit - Benefit 24-Hour Brow Setter Shaping & Setting Gel . If you have this I need you to go smell it right now. Trust me. It smells amazing! This has a two sided brush (with a long side and a short side to lay down the correct amount of product for each part of the brow) and it lays the hairs right down. My tails can be unruly and this keeps them flat all day. It’s not crunchy but you can feel it in your brows when you wash it off at the end of the day. Your brows are set for as long as you need it with this. A new product for me that I fell in love with was the benefit - Brow Microfilling Eyebrow Pen . This is a felt tip pen with three prongs. This is meant to be flicked up to create a micro bladed effective. By far it’s the best one I’ve used and looks natural.

Slay Your Next Zoom Interview!
Hey Cherie Sisters! 👯‍♀️ Times are changing and I know interviews are most likely being done via zoom nowadays with covid and social distancing. Here are some makeup tips I have on how to slay your next zoom interview. First of all, being on camera isn’t the same as being in person so how you would normally apply your makeup in person isn’t gonna look the same digitally. ✨ FACE •I normally would opt in for a natural looking foundation. However, since that cameras tend to wash you out, I would go for a medium to full coverage. I used my COLOURPOP - Pretty Fresh Hyaluronic Hydrating Foundation •I say the same for concealer. I used my tarte - Shape Tape Concealer •Cream contour and highlight to give your face dimension on screen. I used FENTY BEAUTY - Match Stix Trioin the shade Mocha and Bamboo •Apply blush heavier than normal and go for a bright color. You want something on your face that pops and adding warmth to your cheeks will make you appear you have more life. I used MILANI - MILANI Baked Blush in Berry Amore ✨EYES •To appear wide awake, apply more eyeshadow than usual as well. Normally, I’d skip eyeshadow during interviews, but on camera you might look washed out so applying more than normal contours your eye shape. Use a matte medium brown shade for the crease. •Apply lots of mascara or even natural looking falsies. On zoom, you’re able to see the lighting and how you will appear on screen. Having voluminous lashes will add definition to your eyes and it will make them appear brighter on camera ✨LIPS I love using Rare Beauty - Lip Soufflé Matte Lip Cream in Courage! Applying a lipstick will make you appear more put well together ✨LIGHTING •I highly recommend a ring light. Bad lighting can be super distracting and while good lighting can make you a lot friendlier and more personable. •Make sure the light source is in front of you and not the side or from your back ✨JEWELRY Use subtle jewelry to add a little accent. I added silver earrings and a small black rectangle pendant necklace. ✨HAIR I guess this depends where you work, but if you have an interview for a corporate position, I recommend a low pony or a low bun. •if you prefer to wear your hair down make sure you can see your face clearly and your hair is out of your face ✨ADDITIONAL TIPS •Make you sure you use a professional virtual background. Having a messy background is distracting •Use headphones to cancel out random noises such as the fan and etc. •Make sure you lock your dog in the other room! I definitely made a mistake of not locking my dog and the guy who was interviewing me definitely asked me about his random barks. Here are some tips and tricks for zoom interview. I hope you find this helpful! Francesca 💋

Are These 26$ Lashes Worth it?
Recently I went to Ulta and picked out some quality lashes with the intent that I could get at least 30 wears out of a single pair. I typically get the 5 pack of the ARDELL - Cluster Wispies Demi Wispies and I usually get 2 wears out of each pair- so 10 wears total for around 12$ ($1.20/wear) I picked up the BLINKING BEAUTÉ - Faux Mink Luxe Innovative Lashes for 26$. They have a cotton band that is extremely flexible which makes application so easy! They’re also light in weight and don’t give your eye lids that annoying heavy feeling. These are said to give you around 30 wears which would come out to around $0.87/wear. So cheap!! These are 1000% worth the cost, even if I only get 20 wears. I think I’ve officially converted to higher end lashes and will definitely be giving some other brands a try!! **these are the “Brill” lashes and they would be perfect for people with smaller eyes- they’re also great for a more natural look since they’re not overwhelmingly long and just provide some volume at the base of the lashes. What are your favorite high end lashes?? Eye Look Details NATASHA DENONA - Glam Eyeshadow Palette essence - Lash Princess False Lash Effect Mascara (lately I’ve been feeling like this formula has changed, it gets much more clumpy/thick on my lashes than in the past) MARC JACOBS BEAUTY - Highliner Matte Gel Eye Crayon Eyeliner PAT McGRATH LABS - Backstage Eye-Con Kit

My Current Favorite Eyeshadow Palettes!
I have probably hundreds of eyeshadow palettes so a palette has to really “wow” me to use it on a regular basis. I’ve gotten better about wasting money on products that I’m not going to get a lot of use out of, but palettes have always been my weakness. These six palettes are my top 6 for 2020! First off, #6 goes to my VISEART - Solstice Petit Pro Eyeshadow Palette I absolutely love the Petit Pro series, and this little beauty is a perfect addition to my Apricotine palette from last year. Viseart shadows have been my favorite ever since I bought my first palette from them, and I get more use out of their palettes than any other brand! My #5 would have to be the NATASHA DENONA - Bronze Eyeshadow Palette I am obsessed with it’s gorgeous bronzey color story, and the metallic sun this beauty are beyond stunning. My only. complaint is that I wish it had more matte shades, but I’ve learned to work with the few that it has. This was definitely my most-used palette this past summer! My #4 palette would have to be my Too Faced - Born This Way The Natural Nudes Eyeshadow Palette When I saw the first promo photos I wasn’t really a fan of the layout, but once I bought it and started using it I totally fell in love. The layout actually makes it super easy to create a quick look and I love that it has such an even mixture of mattes and shimmers. The color story is gorgeous and I think the quality of the shadows is incredible compared to some of their other palettes. It’s most definitely my favorite Too Faced palette of all time. My #3 palette is my VISEART - Midsommer Petit Pro Eyeshadow Palette I love cool tones so much, especially pinky cool tones, so this little beauty is a dream. The color story is so beautiful and I love how travel friendly the Viseart Petit Pro and Edit palettes are! I can’t wait to see what other additions they have in store for both series. My #2 palette is my NATASHA DENONA - Glam Eyeshadow Palette Once again, I am obsessed with my cool tones and this beauty has the prettiest gray toned cool shadows ever! The metallic shades are absolutely stunning, and I love using this palette to create a cool smokey eye. I haven’t been able to put it down since I picked it up. I’m also blown away with the quality of every shade. Last, but most definitely not least, my #1 eyeshadow palette is my VISEART - Paris EDIT Eye Shadow Palette I could use this palette for the rest of my life and be fine. This palette has the prettiest variety of shadows, and the shimmer and metallic shades are beyond breathtaking. The blue shade on the bottom left hand corner is probably my all-time favorite shadow. I love using it to add depth to my outer V when I create an eye look and the lighter shimmers open up my eyes in the most beautiful way. It’s such a beautiful palette! #BeautyWithoutBarriers #CheriePartner

Rare Beauty Best-Of Products!
I made the plunge and purchased products from Rare beauty, and I was pleasantly surprised with the formulation and wear of all the things that I got. These products I can see myself using time and time again, and are really exciting new releases. If you’re looking for a mid-priced product with good results you can expect each time, this is a good pick for you! I’m really excited about this brand. My favorite from the brand is Rare Beauty - Brow Harmony Pencil and Gel which combines a great pigmented setting gel and feather/brow stroke pencil all in one package. What more could you want for brows? So far, (I’ve used it three or four times) I like this more than Glossier and Anastasia brow products..! One of the first things I wanted to try was the Rare Beauty - Positive Light Liquid Luminizer which I got in the shade “enchanted”. The colour is a pretty rose gold/blush that’s not too metallic or fake looking on skin, but gives a cute more cool-toned pink glow. It is a true liquid to powder feeling product, doesn’t accentuate texture or pores, and dries down fairly quickly without budging but gives you enough time to blend in. Also looks great on the body! Rare Beauty - Soft Pinch Liquid Blush both in joy and love are both really pretty and pigmented shades. I mixed them together to get a cute looking red sun kissed vibe, and I couldn’t be happier with the result. A little goes a long way, so even with these minis I can see them lasting for awhile. They dry quicker than the highlight, so I recommend applying and blending on one cheek at a time for best results. It sets natural/matte, and doesn’t accentuate pores or dry skin. I really enjoyed the Rare Beauty - With Gratitude Dewy Lip Balm even though with the pigmentation it applies more like a lipstick! I would definitely line when using this product in the darker shades. It’s super moisturizing and creamy and a true crème lipstick, so eating with this it will disappear or smudge. I got it in the shade Support, and it’s perfect for fall with all its warm-brown goodness. I also loved the Rare Beauty - Lip Souffle Matte Cream Lipstick which I have in the shade Affirmation. It’s a warm red-berry color, which I think looks divine on all lip and skin tones. It smells delicious (like coconut vanilla) and dries down and sets without being drying on the lips. It applies creamy with no patching or feathering, and I didn’t feel like I needed to line separately with this, I just used the nice sharp applicator! It stains lips, so even if it wears off lips will have a nice shade to them. There are so many cute sets too for the holidays which provide an array of products to test out for less money, and in cute minis too. One I really like is the Rare Beauty - Best of Rare Beauty Lip & Cheek 2 Piece Mini Duo which has two of my fav products in lovely shades.

GRWM: Rare Beauty full face! Worth the hype?
10 minute makeup with Rare Beauty! YES WORTH IT! Rare Beauty launched last month and the crazy obsessed makeup junkie in me bought EVERYTHING and it’s been completely worth it! Overall the entire line is easy to use and can meet the needs of many who wear makeup! Products in order of video appearance: Rare Beauty - Always an Optimist Illuminating Primer The primer doesn’t do much, but add hydration, glow perfect for all skin tones, and soothes skins. You can do without this, but I am enjoying the extra glow! Rare Beauty - Positive Light Liquid Luminizer Highlight I’m medium/tan olive and the shade Flaunt is the perfect highlighter shade. I prefer to apply this under my foundation for a light from within glow. Rare Beauty - Liquid Touch Weightless Foundation Buildable coverage with NATURAL FINISH. Not for those who want a full beat, this is on the more natural side and I personally love it. I wear shade 360W (warm olive) the entire range runs on the warmer side. I absolutely love how quick and easy this is to apply. Rare Beauty - Liquid Touch Foundation Brush Honestly one of my new favorite foundation brushes! Doesn’t leave streaks, you can stipple, pack, or buff with this brush. Super light weight and the shape is great for everywhere on the face. Rare Beauty - Liquid Touch Brightening Concealer I personally love this concealer. You can match your shade to your foundation. This may not be the best coverage for someone who wants a full coverage. Minimal almost no creasing! Rare Beauty - Liquid Touch Concealer Brush AGAIN I love the brushes! This brush was modeled after our fingers and it feels pretty close to the soft touch of a finger blending in your concealer. Fits perfect under the eyes. Rare Beauty - Soft Pinch Liquid Blush A little goes a LONG way. Do not apply over powder!! This has to be applied a certain way for it to work. I prefer with a brush right on top of unset foundation. This has enough pigment to show still after setting powder. I have the shade LOVE - a warm terracotta. Rare Beauty - Perfect Strokes Matte Liquid Liner Docked a star because I am truly not a big fan of brush tip liners, but this liner did an EXCELLENT job. Easy to use and very precise. Rare Beauty - Lip Souffle Matte Cream Lipstick My favorite product and now my most worn red! A creamy airy texture that is very buildable for a soft or powerful look. Wearing the shade INSPIRE. Rare Beauty - Always an Optimist 4-in-1 Prime & Set Mist I’m not big on setting sprays anymore and I could probably do without this, but this is refreshing and revived my makeup if it looks too powdery. Rare Beauty - Blot & Glow Touch-Up Kit This is always in my purse, actually great for touch ups! #cheriepartner #cheriecreator

First (and Second) Impressions - Rare Beauty 1/2
So after extensive research via YouTube on Selena Gomez’s new makeup line Rare Beauty, I knew I wanted to try it ALL (or almost all). The first time I tried everything, I was NOT impressed, but after making sure my face was properly washed and moisturized, I did tried everting a second time and felt a little better about it. However, not everything is love, so I will give my honest review of it all and tell you what I’m keeping/returning. Rare Beauty - Always an Optimist Illuminating Primer If you’re looking for an illuminating/brightening primer, this one is great! I’ve tried Too Faced’s Dew You Primer, and I prefer this one. I love the texture, and it’s not as shiny as Dew You while still giving some brightness. However, it did nothing for filling pores, which I realized is really what I need in a primer, so I’ll (probably) be returning. Rare Beauty - Liquid Touch Weightless Foundation While I do LOVE the serum formula, it settled into my pores REALLY bad the first time I put it on! (See comparison left ) I made sure to use a mask and Niacinamide serum before applying it a second time, and it did do better (see comparison right) I felt the color was OK for my complexion (180W), as this was the shade suggested by the Sephora associate, but I almost wish it were darker and/or matched me better. I do like the doe foot applicator a lot though! Will be returning. Rare Beauty - Liquid Touch Brightening Concealer I wasn’t particularly impressed with the concealer. While the texture is nice, it did nothing for my blemishes and settled into my under eye fine lines despite using setting powder. Will definitely be returning in favor of something better suited to my needs. Rare Beauty - Liquid Touch Foundation Brush Rare Beauty - Liquid Touch Concealer Brush These brushes are keepers! I love the softness and density of them, and the shape is so unique. It’s really easy to get into the creases of your nose and eyes with the point. And they do a great job of blending. Rare Beauty - Soft Pinch Liquid Blush The blush takes some getting used to, but it is actually so nice once you get it. A leeeeeeetle goes a loooooong way! The foundation brush is great for blending it out. I wasn’t sure about the color (Love), so I may exchange for another? Still debating. But I will definitely continue using! Rare Beauty - Positive Light Liquid Luminizer I asked the Sephora associate for a recommendation on the color for me, and I love the one she chose - Enchant, which is a soft pink. I wasn’t sure how it would look, but it actually ended up being one of my favorite products! I love how SUBTLE it is! Never been a big highlight person before, but this changed my mind! See part 2 for more!

Rare Beauty Lip & Cheek mini Duo
Rare Beauty - Best of Rare Beauty Lip & Cheek 2 Piece Mini Duo I mostly got this to try the lip balm, but ironically I like the blush better 😂 I’ve never really been a nude lip person and I thought this was gonna be a bit rosier or mauvier than it is, but I just bought some bright eyeshadows so this might be a good type of out of my comfort zone. I wouldn’t say this is a balm so much as a dewy lipstick, which is totally fine with me. The blush is another matte blush, and I was hoping for dewy but I’m not picky at all, the color is a very pretty peach color. I love the products themselves but I’m bummed about the shades in this set. It’s hard to tell on the package with no testers 🤷🏻‍♀️ Rare Beauty - With Gratitude Dewy Lip Balm Rare Beauty - Soft Pinch Liquid Blush

Just one dot ⚪️ to perfect cheeks 🍑
As a non-powder blush enthusiast I just COULD NOT resist trying Selena’s Rare Beauty - Soft Pinch Liquid Blush It’s a hard go of it for any new blush in my life as they are all being held to the high high (probably impossibly high) standard of the HG Glossier. - Cloud Paint Seamless Cheek Color 👑 So is it good? 🤔 -SUPER pigmented like maybe too pigmented? 🎨 Use just a lil bit! Second photo shows how small of a dot you need -colour is nice and the finish I got was DEWY 💦 (there’s a choice between radiant finish and matte finish) I found it slightly glowy as advertised -it’s easy to blend provided you WORK FAST 🏃‍♀️ -can’t emphasize enough that above point BLEND BLEND BLEND 💃🏻 -I don’t wear any powder on my face at all so can’t speak to how well it’s blends over them 🤷‍♀️ So....it is good! Not usurping Cloud Paint any time soon but a nice alternative shade for those liquid blush obsessed such as myself. While we are on the topic (topic being my ❤️ PASSION ❤️for liquid/cream blush) here are some other good ones: Milk MAKEUP - Lip + Cheek Quo - Featherweight Cream Blush stila - Aqua Glow Water Color Blush KISS & SMINK - The Everything Tulum wet n wild - MegaGlo Makeup Stick Blush tarte - tarte Cheek Stain REVLON - Photoready Cream Blush I wasn’t joking about the OBSESSION 🥴

This is my very first post and I have no idea what to write. Basically my name is Kayla and I’m 25 years old and I love makeup & skincare. I’m very picky when it comes to what I consider my holy grail products, but I love trying new things and sharing my thoughts and opinions! My favourite new products to try are foundations. I am THE MOST PICKY with foundations (as in I only have one in my collection currently) but I absolutely love trying new ones. I’m also extremely insecure and self conscious about taking selfies so 😬😬 also please don’t mind my eyebrows I can’t get them THREADED RIGHT NOW. ANYWAYS, that’s all I have for now, take care and stay safe!! 💕

I shared this look a few looks back with a break down of the products I used and mini reviews of each! I started by evening out my base with concealer and a bit of loose powder under my eyes. Then I warmed up my complexion with NUDESTIX - Nudies All Over Face Color Bronze + Glow in a bronzer shade and a blush, the shade In the Nude is a perfect sunkissed shade for the cheeks! I added highlighter to the tops of my cheek bones, on the bridge and tip of my nose and above my brows. I used Jouer - Jouer Powder Highlighter in the shade Skinny Dip. Added the warm Terracotta shade from the RÓEN - 75° Warm Eye Shadow Palette to my lids. Then used the glossiet gloss to my lips, FENTY BEAUTY - Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer .

I LOVE natural, glowy makeup especially in the warmer months when the sun will give my highlight extra blinding abilities! ✨ I use warm tones all over, blend until my hands hurt and add highlight and shimmer to the places then sun would natural reflect! Here's what I love to use: Jouer - Jouer Powder Highlighter this is the best powder highlighter I've ever used. It's super soft and blends into the skin like a liquid or cream! It's the most blinding highlight and you need the teeniest amount! I barely dip the tips of my brush bristles into the powder and get this seriously blinding highlight. RÓEN - 75° Warm Eye Shadow Palette all of these shades are super shimmery and reflect light so beautifully! I use this all over the lid and even into the crease for extra shimmer. DOSE OF COLORS - Sassy Siennas Eyeshadow Palette a warm shadow lovers dream! It's super easy to blend these matte shades and they're very pigmented! FENTY BEAUTY - Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer run to Sephora and buy this if you don't have it already! This will give you the juciest, glossiest lips! The shimmer is super fine and just adds to the glow, plus they smell like candy! NUDESTIX - Nudies Blush in the shade In the Nude is the perfect peachy nude shade for the cheeks (and lips)! It's my perfect sunburnt color so it looks so natural on me! #CheriePartner

This trick I learned from beauty guru @irisbeilin. She recently posted it on her tik tok and it’s stepped up my makeup selfie game. Super simple, in order to emphasize and highlight certain features when taking a selfie, hold a reflective surface (like a hand mirror) horizontal & face up about chest level. Make sure the mirror is catching the light and that the light is reflecting into your face. Be used with natural light, a lamp or a ring light, I promise it really works.
