First of all, I’m not the best at painting my own nails so please don’t be too harsh. 😄😓 I usually get my nails done and go for a gel mani. I lived a really fast-paced life style and was always on the go pre-covid. But now I am able to work from home and slow down a bit. Also nail salons are closed so I have to paint my own nails. I don’t like to do gel nail polishes that have to be cured under the light...not to do myself at least. I tried doing it myself and my nails end up being damaged plus it’s hard to remove so I gravitate towards gel polishes that can be applied like regular polish. I really enjoy Essie’s gel couture, but that doesn’t have as many color options so I go for CND. Sally Hansen’s gel system is great too, but I’d say Essie and CND are my go-tos. This is a 2 step system. You don’t need a base coat, but I honestly prefer a base coat. I use a strengthening base and then CND’s base coat. I find it lasts longer. However, it is optional. CND - Stickey Base Coat
Nail Tek - Moisturizing Strengthener 2
This one is in the shade “Hypnotic Dreams”. It is a chameleon shade so it shifts from green to purple depending on the light. This one is perfect for fall in my opinion. This one applied sheer, but buildable. I am wearing 3 coats. It was easy to apply and the brush was on the smaller side so it isn’t too messy. I used the CND top coat as well and it dries in 8 minutes. The top coat dries shiny and has a satin finish. This can be purchased at Walgreens, Target and Walmart. CND - Gel-Like Effect Long Wear Top Coat
CND - Vinylux Long Wear Polish

Grow and Maintain Strong + Healthy Nails
Here’s a little background on my nail story. I was addicted to acrylics on my teens. I was obsessed with those pressed on nails and the quality isn’t as good back then. I also didn’t buy the best quality pressed on nails either. I got them at Claire’s lol. This led to severely damaging my nails. I decided that I will not wear press on nails anymore and just do my own mani. The problem is my nails broke all the time and they were really flimsy. They were also so brittle and peeled all the time. I searched a way to strengthen them and the Nail Tek had really good reviews at time. I purchased the recovery kit which included a ridge filler and a strengthener. Nail Tek became my holy grail nail care and it has been for over a decade. I use these whenever I am in between gel manicures. Before COVID, I got my gel nails done religiously. I swear I went every 2 weeks. Sometimes I would take breaks and use these products to strengthen my nails again then go back to gel mani. I have been using these religiously especially with the pandemic causing all nail salons to close. ✨NAIL TEK INTENSIVE THERAPY NAIL STRENGHTENER ✨ - I NEVER do my manicure without this step. This maintains my strong nails. They also help my nails grow evenly without them peeling. This prevents them from splitting as well Nail Tek - Moisturizing Strengthener 2 ✨NAIL TEK FOUNDATION 2 RIDGE FILLER” -I use this as a base coat before applying nail polish. Not only this heals while strengthening the natural nails, it also helps my manicure become smooth and even. This fills the ridges and nail damages. Nail Tek - Foundation 2 ✨NAIL TEK RENEW CUTICLE OIL ✨ -This helps with dry cuticles. I use this almost daily since I have eczema and extremely dry skin. The strengther and the filler are my favorites, but this is a great bonus as well. Taking care of your cuticles is the key on having healthy nails. The nail recovery kit can be purchased at Ulta for 20 USD. You can also purchase the products by themselves if you don’t want all three. The ridge filler retails for 7 to 10 USD depending where you buy it. Amazon is the cheapest. The strengthener retails for 7 to 11 USD and the cuticle oil retails for between 3 to 5 USD. I hope you find this helpful! Francesca 💋 #CheriePartner

Perfect At-Home Mani! No Chips or Smudging
Perfect At-Home Mani! No Chips or Smudging
Since salons are closed, I’ve been trying to perfect my at home manicure situation. Good products are half the battle, the other half is technique. deborah lippmann - All About That Base Correct and Conceal Base Coat gives my nails a smooth surface to work with, and gives whatever colour on top a true neutral surface to layer on top of. Because of this colour payoff is always true! It discourages chipping and keeps my nails from being stained or dried out. I love this brand because it’s 7 free (free of 7 common nail polish chemicals) and is cleaner than most polish brands out on the market. For technique, I paint three small strokes in a thin layer with only a small amount on the brush. I do this after i’ve filed and buffed my nails gently. Sometimes I have shaking hands, so I hold my breath when painting and hold the brush at the base! One key is having a small enough brush that is doesn’t go everywhere, and I love the size of this polish brush for my own nails. If you find it too big, go ahead and trim it to fit your needs and your nails! Good overhead lighting to see missed spots and patches as well as any debris caught in the polish is also key and very beneficial to perfecting the polish surface. I do one layer of base coat, two of colour, and one top coat. I chose a deborah lippmann - Glitter Nail Color as they’re some of my favorite polish formulations and don’t dry out of get chunky. When practicing painting nails, sheer polished and glitters are the most forgiving (versus opaque creme polish) as patches, bumps, and smudges are less noticeable . Any mistakes on my fingers I clean with acetone and an orange wood stick before moving on. Try not to use cotton as the fibers can get stuck in the polish! Make sure each nail is fully dry between each layer to avoid pilling of polish. If I mess up and it’s not recoverable, I take the polish off while it’s still wet and start over— it comes off the easiest this way! For beginners, liquid latex or the equivalent is amazing, you can put it around the perimeter of your nails on your skin to avoid having to clean up with acetone! deborah lippmann - Addicted to Speed Ultra Quick Dry Top Coat is an amazing top coat. Most of my smudges happen during the drying process, and this ensures my nails dry as quick as possible with a beautiful shine. Rather than a full hour, my nails take 20 minutes tops to dry with this top coat. I’ve rephrased this many times and will continue to do so! If a smudge does happen, I put oil on my nail like deborah lippmann - Cuticle Oil Nail Cuticle Treatment and smooth it out gently by tapping my nail on top with another finger (wait until it’s over half way dry to do this or you’ll end up with finger prints). The paint will last me about ten days before chipping. Happy painting! Finish with a hand creme to lock in moisture. Any questions, please leave in the comments!

BEST BASECOAT
BEST BASECOAT
CND - Stickey Base Coat Ok this is BY FAR the best base coat nail polish I have ever used. This polish can be found on Amazon it Ulta and it’s only $8.50. I start with clean hands, and I make sure I wash off any moisturizer or oils that may be on my hands before painting my nails. Then I apply a thin even coat all over the nail. And after that I use the polish of my choice over top. I work in a hospital, I wash my hands all day everyday. This base coat will make sure your polish lasts and lasts without chipping. I can usually get a good 5-7 days out of a manicure without major chips, and to me that’s huge! I recommend this to everyone who asks me anything about nail polish 🤣

CUTE ROSE GOLD NAIL DESIGNS 💅🏾
CUTE ROSE GOLD NAIL DESIGNS 💅🏾
I love this rose gold nail design I created! In the summer I wear a lot of brightly colored clothes so I try to keep my nails a neutral color so they go with everything. I went with nude and gave my nails a rose gold design for some glam. COVERGIRL - Outlast Stay Brilliant Nail Gloss in Forever Fawn is my favorite nude shade. It has a subtle blush undertone and goes on glossy and not a flat color. The rose gold shade is OPI - OPI Nail Lacquer in Worth a Pretty Penne. It is a tiny bottle because it’s from their Venice collection polish set which comes with 4 colors in total. I’ve had the set since 2015 and it doesn’t get dry like some of the other nail polishes I’ve used. This rose gold has a gorgeous shimmer that I love. 1. I painted my nails with 2 coats of the nude shade 2. Once the nude was dry I painted on the rose gold designs 3. Once rose gold was dry I followed up with my OPI top coat #CherieCreator

The coolest iridescent nail polish 💿

I don’t paint my nails too often because they only get ruined by the time I start working but this nail polish from H&M looks magical and lasts forever! And it’s appropriately named ‘CANDYFLOSS’ 🤩 You can use it as a top coat and it turns any lacquer into a beautiful fairy dream or just use it on its own like I do to add just a touch of color and glow to bare nails. This is a very liquidy formula that dries super quick and on me lasts quite a while, I can push it even to a week and a half without retouching, and it’s only $3.99 I believe! I haven’t tried any other nail polishes from H&M but this one’s a winner for me!
