Get Glowing Skin for Beginners ✨
So you’re getting into skincare and want to get the glow? For me, glowing skin is about overall skin health. Here are the top tips I have! I have combo skin that is sensitive and acne-prone. 💛Acne Attack My skin journey began with a lot of hormonal and cystic acne so I started figuring out what to do to deal with that. I currently give credit to the following for really making a difference: ✨Retinol/Retinal These increase skin cell turnover so they are essentially acne medication. I recommend starting very slowly with these at night with a heavier moisturizer because they can be drying. These heal my breakouts faster and prevent them in the first place. ✨Vitamin C I give this lots of credit for helping with any hyperpigmentation that happens after breakouts. So incredible for acne scars and overall brightening your skin! I love to use mine during the day to fight free radicals. ✨Sunscreen The true hero of skincare. If you’re not using this, nothing else matters. I recommend Krave - The Beet Shield

Quick visit to the Farmacy🍯
I’ve been stoked to try this brand because I love alllll things honey, so this little set seemed like the perfect intro! Sadly, I’m not overly impressed by any of the 3 items. FARMACY - Honeymoon Glow Serum we’ll start here because I’m so stinking bummed about this. Upon first use, I noticed that the dropper is broken, and I have the most difficult time getting the serum out of the jar. I’m definitely not going to be able to use the whole bottle, simply because I can’t get it out. The little bit of serum I am able to use, I don’t love. It stings my face for quite a while after applying, and I can’t really tell if there have been any results. I think I’ll stick with SUNDAY RILEY - Good Genes All in One Lactic Acid Treatment for a similar chemical exfoliation. FARMACY - Green Clean Makeup Meltaway Cleansing Balm this was my first foray into a cleansing balm and I’m so sad that they only gave me enough for one cleanse! I don’t feel entirely qualified to give a review of it, but I did enjoy my one use!! FARMACY - Honey Potion Renewing Antioxidant Hydration Mask I’ve tried this out a couple of times and it has a pretty wild sensation! Whenever you apply it, it feels more like a honey, but upon adding to the face, it turns into a cream and gets warm. Honestly so fun! I have felt like my face was hydrated and refreshed after each use, so I would purchase this one again!
“Honey” oil? 🤔👀
FARMACY - Honeymoon Glow Serum FARMACY - Honey Grail Ultra-Hydrating Face Oil ⚡️my skin type: sensitive eczema and acne prone ⚡️what the product does: resurfaces skin & moisturizes ⚡️what makes it worth it: natural ingredients ⚡️ingredient highlights: buckwheat honey ⚡️what the experience is like: the glow serum is nice but the honey face oil is sticky and never seems to fully absorb. also i do think the face oil broke me out ⚡️in full transparency: i was sent these products as a gift. i didnt love the face oil but i think the glow serum is quite nice! give it a try if you like natural ingredients

🏆Best Korean Skincare 2020🏆
As a total newbie to Korean skincare and beauty this year, I was honestly overwhelmed with the number of products I wanted to try 😅 •Swipe to see my Cleanser, Toner, Serum, and Moisturizer/SPF picks + read more on my blog post. 💭Link in Bio on my profile, and in comments •Trust me when I say I couldn't try even half the amount of products I wanted to. My Glowy Winter PM Routine
After a full day of running around fulfilling the needs of my 8mos old (the adorable, pudgy little tyrant she is), my evening skincare routine is a welcome excuse to unwind, and wash off the grime of the day. It not only feels great, but it leaves me nice and glowy. I have sensitive, combination skin, and tend to get drier during the winter time. I like to layer up more during this season on skincare, so here’s my current PM winter routine! I’m not really a makeup wearer, except for filling in my brows and wearing sunscreen. That being said I always begin my PM routine with a double cleanse. I always go back to my tried-and-true oil cleanser, - Hadalabo Gokujun Cleansing Oil 200ml I love how gentle, effective, and affordable this product is and will always recommend it. Next I go in with Krave - Matcha Hemp Hydrating Cleanser . This cleanser is so gentle, hydrating, and never leaves my skin feeling dry or irritated. It does the job so well, with good-for-your-skin, barrier respecting ingredients, and it basically just smells like freshly brewed Matcha. For the quality it’s very affordable, and if you have sensitive skin, this might be a good cleanser for you! For toner, I’ve been using TONYMOLY - Wonder Ceramide Mocchi Toner I picked it up about 5 months ago; my skin was just irritated postpartum, and I was looking for an affordable, all-purpose toner. For 23 USD, you get 17oz of product, and I am just now finishing up the bottle. This is very much a no-frills, hydrating, gentle, cost-effective toner and has done a very good job of calming my irritated skin over the past months. About 3 times a week, I pump a few drops of COSRX - 2 in 1 Poreless Power Liquid onto a cotton pad and swipe it over my problem areas (my t-zone), then tap it in. I’ve been using it for about 2.5 months now, and definitely notice a difference in my pore size! My t-zone looks smoother, and my pore-size has been greatly reduced. I’ve also noticed less breakouts. I feel like I will probably repurchase in the future. I then follow up with a dropper of MISSHA - Missha Time Revolution Night Repair Probio Ampoule , mixing in one pump of GLOW RECIPE - Plum Plump Hyaluronic Acid Serum . This combo is so hydrating and leaves me super glowy. Apply GLOW RECIPE - Banana Soufflé Moisture Cream I love the glow this moisture cream gives, and the way it reduces any irritation or redness. I finish up with GLOW RECIPE - Avocado Melt Retinol Eye Sleeping Mask It doesn’t do much for my dark circles since mine are hereditary, but I love how hydrated my under eye area feels with this cream, and a little goes such a long way. What are your current winter routine faves?

This product is ❤️! Omg this product is amazing! I’ve only used this twice so far but after the first time I used this, my skin was so smooth! So much smoother than it’s ever been!😊 I bought a box of 5 applications but they do come in a box of 30 and 60!
If you are dealing with acne scarring, maybe this post will help! Acne scars are formed when a breakout penetrates the skin deeply and damages the tissues beneath it. During the healing process, the body produces collagen—a substance that gives the skin support. If the body produces too little or too much collagen, you will see a scar. Who is at risk for acne scarring? When a person Has inflammatory (swollen, reddish, and painful) acne. These often include acne cysts and nodules. This type of acne tends to penetrate deep into the skin, which damages the skin. Delays or does not treat inflammatory acne The longer a person has inflammatory acne, the greater the risk of scarring. Picks, squeezes, or pops acne This increases inflammation, which increases the risk of scarring. Has a blood relative who developed acne scars Genes play a large role. Products that are recommended by dermatologists: SKINCEUTICALS - C E Ferulic With 15% L-Ascorbic Acid Vitamin C Serum SHANI DARDEN SKIN CARE - Retinol Reform Murad - Invisiscar Resurfacing Treatment OLE HENRIKSEN - Glow2OH Dark Spot Toner Dr Dennis Gross - Skincare Alpha Beta Peel Extra Strength Formula 30 Applications If you have tried over the counter products and still aren’t seeing any results, your best bet is to see a good dermatologist. They use the following treatments: Laser skin resurfacing Chemical peeling Dermabrasion Microdermabrasion (differs from kits bought for at-home use) Resurfacing works well for treating acne scars that are nearly flat (not too deep). Even dermabrasion, which removes the top layers of skin and some of the middle layers, cannot effectively treat deep acne scars. For deeper scarring, they sometimes use fillers. A dermatologist may fill acne scars with collagen, the patient’s own fat, or another substance. Many fillers give temporary results, which last between 6 and 18 months. Some fillers are permanent. Collagen -induction therapy, skin tightening, electrodesication, and even scar surgery are also used. The takeaway is don’t think that you don’t have options! Definitely give the products I listed a good try. It can take months and months to really start seeing results so you definitely need to be patient. If those do not work for you, your dermatologist has a ton of options ❤️ Remember that no matter your skin, you are beautiful!!!

a brown skin friendly SPF!
i quickly fell in love with this Krave - The Beet Shield spf, and quickly realized what all the hype and (k)rave reviews were about! the beet shield ($20) is packed with beetroot extract, vitamin c, and powerful antioxidants, which prevents pigmentation in the skin, protects us from those nasty free radicals from the sun, and brightens dark marks. now, we’ve all heard of those sunscreens that tend to make people look casper the ghost. this, honey, does not! this spf is def brown skin friendly. it has a milky, lightweight consistency and melts into the skin beautifully and effortlessly. doing the two-finger rule with this SPF is easy! though it is lightweight, it provides tons of coverage and hydration. might i add, the beet shield is 100% recyclable. @kravebeauty is doing it right! what is your favorite sunscreen at the moment? have you ever tried krave beauty? what is your go-to krave product?
THE Most Underrated Skincare Brand 🏆
I have sensitive combination skin that is acne-prone. I was dealing with a lot of hormonal acne as well but I’ve finally gotten it a bit more under control but do get breakouts and acne scars still. I’m also very sensitive to fragrance. Recently I bought a few products from Krave and I never plan on going back. They don’t have the fullest range just yet but the products they do have are total rockstars in affordability and ingredients. 🌱 Krave is all about taking a clean break. There are a lot of misconceptions and nasties in the skincare world that are not needed and not smart. Krave is all about taking a break from that and resetting. Here are my current favorites: ✨Great Barrier Relief Serum $28 for 1.52 fl oz 🔑 Key Ingredients: Tamanu Oil, Safflower Oil, Rosehip Oil, Vitamin B3, Ceramide These ingredients are for skin regeneration, hyperpigmentation, anti-aging, brightening, acne-fighting and generally repairing a damaged skin barrier. This serum is turning into an all time favorite between the ceramide and niacinamide ingredient list. I actually use this after a lighter Vitamin C serum during the morning on my mask area and I think it’s been really helping to create a barrier and prevent breakouts from constant mask wearing. This product is great for mimicking your skin’s natural moisture barrier so it’s great for skin that needs help from too many actives, sunburn, etc. ✨The Beet Shield $20 for 50ml 🔑 Key Ingredients: Beet root, Allantoin, Vitamin C, Resveratrol and EGCG. This daytime fluid has ingredients that overall give skin antioxidants, prevent signs of aging, soothe skin, fight free radicals, reduce pigmentation, reduce blemishes and moisturize. This is a chemical screen that is very lightweight. It doesn’t leave skin sticky or leave a white cast. It also has Vitamin C which I love! I feel like using this and their serum has maintained my clear skin even with the mask. Matcha Hemp Hydrating Cleanser $16 for 4.05 fl oz 🔑 Key Ingredients: Matcha, hemp seeds, oats, almonds, Vitamin B5 and Sodium PCA. ✨This cleanser is stunning. It is highly hydrating and skin barrier friendly. This can be used morning and night and a little goes a long way. The normal amount I’ve used in the past covered my fave, neck, chest and back so I’ve been able to use less by using this product as well. It doesn’t strip the skin and packs a gorgeous punch of antioxidants and hydration while cleansing. Perfection. ♻️ You can also choose carbon offset shipping for $1 more when ordering from them and the products come in a 100% recyclable carton with no excess fillers. How to Treat Dreaded ‘Maskne’ 🖤
With everything going on right now I know a lot of people (myself included right now) are wearing masks for 8+ hours. With this new addition to daily life a new problem I’ve been hearing a lot about right now is ‘maskne’ or mask acne. With your mask on your face all day causing irritation it’s perfectly normal to experience break outs. When I do get really bad break outs I tend to simplify my routine down to these basic steps: (disclaimer: I myself have oily, acne prone skin that is mainly grade 2) 1.) Cleanse - FARMACY - Clean Bee Ultra Gentle Facial Cleanser A gel cleanser is best for oily skin. It’s also going to be best to get all the sebum, debris, and other gross stuff you may have under your mask from breathing in it all day. This one is gentle but effective without stripping your skin. 2.) Prep - GOOD MOLECULES - Niacinamide Serum I always use niacinamide as a prep step. My favorite niacinamide serum is from Good Molecules. It’s only $6 and it absorbs really nicely into the skin without feeling sticky. This is going to help regulate oil control so you’re not over producing, calm down any inflammation your new break out may be experiencing, and help heal any pigmentation that might be left behind as the break out heals. 3.) Spot Treat - GEORGETTE KLINGER - Acne Spot Relief Then I go in with a spot treatment. I really like the Georgette Klinger spot treatment because it’s cream formula absorbs really well into the skin to dry out the break out properly without damaging the surrounding skin. It contains both salicylic acid and lactic acid so while it helping to shed dead skin cells from the face so sebum doesn’t get trapped underneath to create more break outs the salicylic acid goes deep into the pores and cleans it out. Another great option is the Clinique Acne Solutions Gel. 4.) Moisturize - FARMACY - Daily Greens Oil-Free Gel Moisturizer with Moringa and Papaya You always want to seal a routine with a good moisturizer. For oily skin I recommend a gel (with dry you’ll want a cream). This will help keep your skin hydrated while it’s healing without feeling too heavy. If you use too heavy of a cream with oily skin you have the potential of clogging the pores and with the mask on top it will just make things worse (With dry skin you don’t have to worry about this as much).

critique my skincare!
AM skincare routine: YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superfood Antioxidant Cleanser I just started using this two days ago because I felt my other cleanser was too stripping, so I don’t have any opinion on this besides the fact that it smells good! NATURIUM - Niacinamide Serum 12% Plus Zinc 2% I just started using this for my large ass pores and acne scars, it is super soothing and soft on the skin, but I haven’t noticed any difference in pore size or dark spots yet. HONEST - Hydrogel Cream I just recieved this, I ordered because it is oil free and I do seem to get fungal acne from using oils. I haven’t used yet, but I plan on using this as my daily moisturizer, but wanted opinions on it! elta md SKINCARE - UV Clear Broad Spectrum SPF 46 This can be a little too mattifying for me, but it gives me such an amazing glow when initially applied. I think I may have a sensitivity to silicones (dimethicone has been in like every product i use) & also is a mineral and chemical sunscreen which I just learned so I have ordered the purito comfy water spf to replace. PM skincare: Argan oil from the brand Cliganic to oil cleanse, I have been using their jojoba oil, but my skin kind of burned after I was done cleansing and I read that argan oil is a 0 on the comedogenic scale Cleanser: YTTP Cleanser again CLEAR SKIN Program - Bare Faced Moisturizer This is the moisturizer I have been using, if someone could please tell me what they think of the ingredients because I’m not great at knowing what is what yet. It looks beautiful on, probably because of the dimethicone but I am weary of it because I think dimethicone could be causing breakouts. I planned to replace this with the honest beauty moisturizer I spoke of earlier since that one is oil free and silicone free as well! **I use epiduo forte every other day right now, I’ve just started this as an acne treatment about 3 weeks ago and am slowly working my way up to be able to use it every day** I was using the ordinary’s peeling solution twice a week which I thought worked beautifully, but I am scared of overdoing it since epiduo is very drying to my skin as is. I also just order this Murad - Rapid Age Spot and Pigment Lightening Serum serum (travel size) to use as a spot treatment because it was on sale, and am excited since hydroquinone is so strong. Any input would be greatly appreciated!! ❤️ *I do not wear makeup and also mask acne is kicking my ass*

ROSEN FADE ROUTINE first impressions
does this insta famous brand live up to the hype? 🤩 these are just my personal first impressions after using the kit a couple times, so take it with a grain of salt. I have oily/combo skin and am currently struggling with hyperpigmentation and small bumps, which are the exact skin concerns this routine targets. additionally, I always hear people raving about this brand.FULL TRANSPARENCY THIS PRODUCT WAS GIFTED. I’ll rate each product and then the whole routine overall at the end~ SUPER SMOOTHIE CLEANSER: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 -my favorite out of the bunch. the cap has a cool flipdown nozzle like those water bottles. The product itself is really nice and has some bits in it for exfoliating, and it did not dry out my skin. Smelled very pleasant. RECOMMEND GOLD TIDES TONER: 🌟🌟 -i don’t really understand why they would put salt in a product for acne prone skin as that probably means the person has lesions/open wounds on their face. i had a couple popped pimples and this burned on me. i do not have sensitive skin usually. NOT RECOMMEND BRIGHT CITRUS SERUM: 🌟🌟 -ooh she stung when i applied. not sure if this was also because of the previous toner but i was very surprised as i don’t have sensitive skin. it’s a very very liquidy vit c serum and the shelf life is only 3 months. NOT RECOMMEND ROSE WATER FACE DEW: 🌟🌟🌟🌟 -the bottle came half full which i was confused about, but i do like the product inside. it’s got rosehip oil and rose water, so it came separated but you just shake it to mix. the mist is very fine and it moisturized my face and made me look dewy so overall very nice. RECOMMEND i have yet to try the charcoal mask and enzyme scrub. FADE ROUTINE OVERALL FIRST RATING: 🌟🌟🌟 - the holo bag is cool, the smoothie cleanser and face dew were wonderful. i didn’t like how the products came wrapped in plastic, and the bottles themselves were also plastic. will continue to test this kit and hopefully upload a part 2. #CherieCreator
