Get Glowing Skin for Beginners ✨

FaceBareSkinCare
So you’re getting into skincare and want to get the glow? For me, glowing skin is about overall skin health. Here are the top tips I have! I have combo skin that is sensitive and acne-prone. 💛Acne Attack My skin journey began with a lot of hormonal and cystic acne so I started figuring out what to do to deal with that. I currently give credit to the following for really making a difference: ✨Retinol/Retinal These increase skin cell turnover so they are essentially acne medication. I recommend starting very slowly with these at night with a heavier moisturizer because they can be drying. These heal my breakouts faster and prevent them in the first place. ✨Vitamin C I give this lots of credit for helping with any hyperpigmentation that happens after breakouts. So incredible for acne scars and overall brightening your skin! I love to use mine during the day to fight free radicals. ✨Sunscreen The true hero of skincare. If you’re not using this, nothing else matters. I recommend Krave - The Beet Shield
which also has vitamin C. ✨Double cleansing at night. Buy a cleansing balm and gently massage your face for 10 minutes. Seriously you will feel the junk leaving your pores. This helps take off makeup, sunscreen, dirt and pollutants from the day. Always do this at night before a regular water-based cleanser like Krave - Matcha Hemp Hydrating Cleanser
💛HYDRATION I always tell people when they start, find a good cleanser, moisturizer and sunscreen. This is the core of skincare health. Sure the actives are great for specific concerns, but the basics can take you far too. When I’m looking for a moisturizer, I want ceramides in it. I currently alternate between these two: #FARMACY - Honey Halo Ultra-hydrating Ceramide Moisturizer[products]# #CeraVe - Healing Ointment[products]# The healing ointment is best for night because it is THICK and no joke but wow does it always hydrate my entire life. 💛Exfoliation Exfoliation is huge for glowing skin. I prefer chemical exfoliation because it is gentler than physical scrubs. You’ll want to look for anything with AHA, BHA or PHA. My favorite exfoliants are: FARMACY - Honeymoon Glow Serum
Dr Dennis Gross - Skincare Alpha Beta Peel Extra Strength Formula 30 Applications
Honeymoon Glow has AHA as well as gentle flower acids. I find this literally does give me a glow the next morning and is great for breakouts. It can feel a bit strong so maybe start slow and work your way up. Other things that helped me: ✨I stopped drinking ✨I drink way more water now ✨Using Pink Clay masks removes impurities when needed ✨Niacinamide (I’ll use this for texture with Vitamin C and yes you can use them together safely- there’s an old belief that you can’t) ✨SUNSCREEN AGAIN 💚The key is consistency in your routine, using products that work for YOU and adjusting here and there for concerns. #CheriePartner

My Favorite Serums 🌸
I have sensitive combo skin that is acne-prone and these are my favorite skincare serums! A lot of my serums are focused in helping with acne and its aftermath and these are the best I’ve found. ✨Antioxidant Pore Purifier by Paula’s Choice $31 for 1oz This serum has salicylic acid in it and white tea. It is meant to unclog pores and help with airborne pollutants. It’s a light fluid that is the tiniest bit sticky on skin before adding a moisturizer. Before finding this, I was dealing with a lot of really intense cystic acne. After using for about two months, I eased up on this product and noticed my breakouts got worse which is when I realized what an effect this was having for my skin. I eventually did ease out of regular use and my skin has been behaving but if it does get bad again, I’m definitely repurchasing this product. ✨Very Cherry Bright by Farmacy $62 for 1oz This is a lightweight Vitamin C serum by Farmacy made with four forms of Vitamin C, the most obvious being from the Acerola Cherry extracts which make this smell so good! This serum is gorgeous. It’s lightweight and effective. This is a clean brand and comes in packaging that is meant to reduce oxidation which makes Vitamin C serums less effective. I find this helps with red spots, scarring, brightening and fighting free radicals. My biggest issue is the price but this brand does regular sales which helps. I’m about to try the Naturium Vitamin C Complex so we will see how that compares given the lower price point. Stay tuned! I’m also liking the Naturium Niacinamide one a lot. ✨Great Barrier Relief by Krave $28 for 1.52 fl oz This is a moisture barrier saving serum by Krave which I fall more and more in love with each use. It has Tamanu Oil, Safflower Oil, Rosehip Oil, Vitamin B3 and Ceramide for for skin regeneration, hyperpigmentation, anti-aging, brightening, acne-fighting and generally repairing a damaged skin barrier. This serum is turning into an all time favorite. I actually use this after a lighter Vitamin C serum on my mask area and it’s been helping to prevent breakouts from mask wearing. This product mimics your skin’s moisture barrier so it’s great for skin that needs help from too many actives, sunburn, etc. ✨Honeymoon Glow by Farmacy $58 for 1 oz This is an nighttime resurfacing serum that for me gets rid of breakouts and leaves me glowing the next morning. It has AHA, flower acids and honey in it. It tingles a bit when first applied but that quickly stops. I couldn’t go without this one and have a back-up. I like to use acids like this with a stronger nightly moisturizer like Healing Ointment by CeraVe! I use this maybe twice a week at most. 🌸What serums are you loving? PAULA'S CHOICE - Antioxidant Pore Purifier FARMACY - Very Cherry Bright 15% Clean Vitamin C Serum with Acerola Cherry Krave - Great Barrier Relief FARMACY - Honeymoon Glow Serum #CheriePartner

If you’re looking for a sign to buy Krave beauty
This it!! Do it!! If you can afford it, if you’re suffering from a damaged skin barrier, if you want gentle hydrating products, do you and your skin a favor and buy it now! I personally JUST started using two of their products and I’m inlove with the ✨t w o✨ day results, of course the results aren’t that drastic enough to post a comparison but i notice the difference already and I’m excited to see how much my skin will change in the upcoming weeks. I needed to share my thoughts because I was nervous about purchasing these since they aren’t that affordable but I am SOOO glad I did. Krave - Matcha Hemp Hydrating Cleanser my face feels so soft and hydrated after using, I love it. Krave - Great Barrier Relief Now I know and get why people rave so much about this product.. my inflammation has gone down tremendously in just TWO days. Love the ingredients in this! My updated skin care routine will be coming soon, it has changed so much since my first one. *Disclaimer, I did not take this photo nor do I own it. I found it online!

This is my 3 week progress !
I do a double cleanse once in the morning and once at night. I use GARNIER - Micellar Water Facial Cleanser Sensitive Skin to remove oil, dirt and sebum. Next I use FIRST AID BEAUTY - Pure Skin Face Cleanser which is super gentle for my sensitive skin. I felt it’s the only cleanser gentle enough to cleanse my face but not irritate it or dry it out. It has a nice and creamy texture that I love. I then follow up with Dr Dennis Gross - Skincare Alpha Beta Peel Extra Strength Formula 30 Applications . I really like it as I feel it evens out my skin tone and I always heard that chemical exfoliators are a lot better for your skin than the other types. The only thing I don’t like is the price but compared to how how much I would pay if I were to get a skin care treatment done this is worth the price. I use this 5 time’s a week. As the other 2 time’s a week I am using a different peel and I don’t want to over exfoliate. After this I go in with the The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% . I feel it’s good but because my skin has a lot of scaring I know it will take more than just 3 weeks. I will continue to use this product as I really like how it brightens and evens out my skin tone. It’s also helping to make my acne scaring go away. The price is also very attractive! I then use fresh - Lotus Youth Preserve Moisturizer this stuff is amazing ! I swear by it. I have used plenty of other moisturisers that break my skin out but this one makes my skin feel really nice and hydrated and still makes it feel hydrated in the morning. If it is day time then afterwards I will put a sunscreen. I use Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Sunscreen SPF 50 . Personally I don’t like it. I feel it clogs up my pores and as I have dry skin I feel it doesn’t hydrate my skin as it should. During summer I was my son’s sunscreen and felt it did a better job so I might switch to it after. I’m only continuing to use this until it runs out but I won’t repurchase . Once per week (Monday nights after cleansing I use DARPHIN - Youth Resurfacing Peel my skincare feels really nice after I use this. It’s quite pricey but I feel it works to even out my skin tone and help with acne scars. Thursday nights I use The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution . Overall my skin has had a massive outcome and I’m really happy with these products. I’m so excited to see how it will be in 2 months from now. I suffer from dry and sensitive skin, eczema, acne scarring and pigmentation. I watch Hyram on YouTube and many of these products are recommended by him. This is the best my skin has ever looked.

Dr.Dennis Gross peel
This product made the biggest difference in my skin in the shortest amount of time. This is @drdennisgross ’s two step daily peel. It’s a two-step peel packed with acids to help smooth out fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, as well as diminish the look of pores and shine. I’ve been using it for around a week now, and my skin has made an absolute 180. The biggest difference I’ve seen has been in my texture. My skin has been unbelievably smooth since I started using this peel. Some dark spots and discoloration has also already started to fade. I chose the extra strength version (because I want results, and I want them fast lol), but it also comes in universal and ultra gentle version for those of you who might want to take it slow. My skin is pretty used to acids, so that’s why I went straight for the extra strength. I have not experienced any irritation, stinging, burning or redness from using these, but if you do, that’s completely normal, because this is a really strong product! With this product, there might be a little bit of a “purging” period. For me, the next day after using it, I woke up with a few breakouts. I could tell that I was purging and not breaking out because the breakouts appeared in places where I had a lot of uneven texture and under the skin bumps. Basically, the peel just pushed everything out to the surface, which is amazing. Overall, I’m extremely happy with this product. It delivered major results in a short amount of time, and my skin has been looking the most beautiful it has in a while! If you can, I highly recommend you try it out for yourself. . . . . gifted

Sunscreen Is Always and Forever
Sunscreen is an essential part of any skincare routine. It is the number one proven preventative treatment for anti-aging. The sun’s rays, most specifically UVA and UVB, are damaging to our skin. They cause free radical damage, something that plays a role in collagen breakdown and inflammation; two things that are super important to pay attention to when talking about anti-aging. Plus, those rays exist in all weather, rain or shine, so sunscreen is a must! Sunscreen is also one of the first steps in treating hyperpigmentation! The sun activates our melanin production, like a tan. This over-production is exaggerated whenever we experience trauma to the skin, like a cut or a blemish. With those of us who have more melanin, we are more likely to produce stronger hyperpigmentation. With the use of sunscreen, we can help the fading time of hyperpigmentation to speed up! As a sunscreen lover myself, I have a few favorites, the one that will always have my heart year-round are: Krave - The Beet Shieldis a chemical sunscreen with SPF 50. Packed with a lot of soothing ingredients! Sits amazingly under makeup too! PAULA'S CHOICE - Youth-Extending Daily Hydrating Fluidis a chemical sunscreen with SPF 50. Packed with tons of hydrating ingredients and antioxidants. This can replace your moisturizer in warmer months! Something I only like reaching for when it’s warmer is the PAULA'S CHOICE - Super-Light Daily Wrinkle Defense SPF 30It is tinted and leaves a silky matte finish on the skin. Some that I have my eyes on to try next include Black Girl Sunscreen. It has been deemed better for drier skin types year-round or if you lean oily, it is great for the colder weather. It is known for its beautiful glowy finish! Another one I have my eyes on that has been getting incredible reviews, that can be used year-round, is the Soothe Bamboo Sun Essence by Keep Cool. Regardless of your choice, if it works for you, that’s the sunscreen that matters!

THE Most Underrated Skincare Brand 🏆
THE Most Underrated Skincare Brand 🏆
I have sensitive combination skin that is acne-prone. I was dealing with a lot of hormonal acne as well but I’ve finally gotten it a bit more under control but do get breakouts and acne scars still. I’m also very sensitive to fragrance. Recently I bought a few products from Krave and I never plan on going back. They don’t have the fullest range just yet but the products they do have are total rockstars in affordability and ingredients. 🌱 Krave is all about taking a clean break. There are a lot of misconceptions and nasties in the skincare world that are not needed and not smart. Krave is all about taking a break from that and resetting. Here are my current favorites: ✨Great Barrier Relief Serum $28 for 1.52 fl oz 🔑 Key Ingredients: Tamanu Oil, Safflower Oil, Rosehip Oil, Vitamin B3, Ceramide These ingredients are for skin regeneration, hyperpigmentation, anti-aging, brightening, acne-fighting and generally repairing a damaged skin barrier. This serum is turning into an all time favorite between the ceramide and niacinamide ingredient list. I actually use this after a lighter Vitamin C serum during the morning on my mask area and I think it’s been really helping to create a barrier and prevent breakouts from constant mask wearing. This product is great for mimicking your skin’s natural moisture barrier so it’s great for skin that needs help from too many actives, sunburn, etc. ✨The Beet Shield $20 for 50ml 🔑 Key Ingredients: Beet root, Allantoin, Vitamin C, Resveratrol and EGCG. This daytime fluid has ingredients that overall give skin antioxidants, prevent signs of aging, soothe skin, fight free radicals, reduce pigmentation, reduce blemishes and moisturize. This is a chemical screen that is very lightweight. It doesn’t leave skin sticky or leave a white cast. It also has Vitamin C which I love! I feel like using this and their serum has maintained my clear skin even with the mask. Matcha Hemp Hydrating Cleanser $16 for 4.05 fl oz 🔑 Key Ingredients: Matcha, hemp seeds, oats, almonds, Vitamin B5 and Sodium PCA. ✨This cleanser is stunning. It is highly hydrating and skin barrier friendly. This can be used morning and night and a little goes a long way. The normal amount I’ve used in the past covered my fave, neck, chest and back so I’ve been able to use less by using this product as well. It doesn’t strip the skin and packs a gorgeous punch of antioxidants and hydration while cleansing. Perfection. ♻️ You can also choose carbon offset shipping for $1 more when ordering from them and the products come in a 100% recyclable carton with no excess fillers. How to Treat Dreaded ‘Maskne’ 🖤
How to Treat Dreaded ‘Maskne’ 🖤
With everything going on right now I know a lot of people (myself included right now) are wearing masks for 8+ hours. With this new addition to daily life a new problem I’ve been hearing a lot about right now is ‘maskne’ or mask acne. With your mask on your face all day causing irritation it’s perfectly normal to experience break outs. When I do get really bad break outs I tend to simplify my routine down to these basic steps: (disclaimer: I myself have oily, acne prone skin that is mainly grade 2) 1.) Cleanse - FARMACY - Clean Bee Ultra Gentle Facial Cleanser A gel cleanser is best for oily skin. It’s also going to be best to get all the sebum, debris, and other gross stuff you may have under your mask from breathing in it all day. This one is gentle but effective without stripping your skin. 2.) Prep - GOOD MOLECULES - Niacinamide Serum I always use niacinamide as a prep step. My favorite niacinamide serum is from Good Molecules. It’s only $6 and it absorbs really nicely into the skin without feeling sticky. This is going to help regulate oil control so you’re not over producing, calm down any inflammation your new break out may be experiencing, and help heal any pigmentation that might be left behind as the break out heals. 3.) Spot Treat - GEORGETTE KLINGER - Acne Spot Relief Then I go in with a spot treatment. I really like the Georgette Klinger spot treatment because it’s cream formula absorbs really well into the skin to dry out the break out properly without damaging the surrounding skin. It contains both salicylic acid and lactic acid so while it helping to shed dead skin cells from the face so sebum doesn’t get trapped underneath to create more break outs the salicylic acid goes deep into the pores and cleans it out. Another great option is the Clinique Acne Solutions Gel. 4.) Moisturize - FARMACY - Daily Greens Oil-Free Gel Moisturizer with Moringa and Papaya You always want to seal a routine with a good moisturizer. For oily skin I recommend a gel (with dry you’ll want a cream). This will help keep your skin hydrated while it’s healing without feeling too heavy. If you use too heavy of a cream with oily skin you have the potential of clogging the pores and with the mask on top it will just make things worse (With dry skin you don’t have to worry about this as much).

AM skincare routine: YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superfood Antioxidant Cleanser I just started using this two days ago because I felt my other cleanser was too stripping, so I don’t have any opinion on this besides the fact that it smells good! NATURIUM - Niacinamide Serum 12% Plus Zinc 2% I just started using this for my large ass pores and acne scars, it is super soothing and soft on the skin, but I haven’t noticed any difference in pore size or dark spots yet. HONEST - Hydrogel Cream I just recieved this, I ordered because it is oil free and I do seem to get fungal acne from using oils. I haven’t used yet, but I plan on using this as my daily moisturizer, but wanted opinions on it! elta md SKINCARE - UV Clear Broad Spectrum SPF 46 This can be a little too mattifying for me, but it gives me such an amazing glow when initially applied. I think I may have a sensitivity to silicones (dimethicone has been in like every product i use) & also is a mineral and chemical sunscreen which I just learned so I have ordered the purito comfy water spf to replace. PM skincare: Argan oil from the brand Cliganic to oil cleanse, I have been using their jojoba oil, but my skin kind of burned after I was done cleansing and I read that argan oil is a 0 on the comedogenic scale Cleanser: YTTP Cleanser again CLEAR SKIN Program - Bare Faced Moisturizer This is the moisturizer I have been using, if someone could please tell me what they think of the ingredients because I’m not great at knowing what is what yet. It looks beautiful on, probably because of the dimethicone but I am weary of it because I think dimethicone could be causing breakouts. I planned to replace this with the honest beauty moisturizer I spoke of earlier since that one is oil free and silicone free as well! **I use epiduo forte every other day right now, I’ve just started this as an acne treatment about 3 weeks ago and am slowly working my way up to be able to use it every day** I was using the ordinary’s peeling solution twice a week which I thought worked beautifully, but I am scared of overdoing it since epiduo is very drying to my skin as is. I also just order this Murad - Rapid Age Spot and Pigment Lightening Serum serum (travel size) to use as a spot treatment because it was on sale, and am excited since hydroquinone is so strong. Any input would be greatly appreciated!! ❤️ *I do not wear makeup and also mask acne is kicking my ass*

ROSEN FADE ROUTINE first impressions
ROSEN FADE ROUTINE first impressions
does this insta famous brand live up to the hype? 🤩 these are just my personal first impressions after using the kit a couple times, so take it with a grain of salt. I have oily/combo skin and am currently struggling with hyperpigmentation and small bumps, which are the exact skin concerns this routine targets. additionally, I always hear people raving about this brand.FULL TRANSPARENCY THIS PRODUCT WAS GIFTED. I’ll rate each product and then the whole routine overall at the end~ SUPER SMOOTHIE CLEANSER: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 -my favorite out of the bunch. the cap has a cool flipdown nozzle like those water bottles. The product itself is really nice and has some bits in it for exfoliating, and it did not dry out my skin. Smelled very pleasant. RECOMMEND GOLD TIDES TONER: 🌟🌟 -i don’t really understand why they would put salt in a product for acne prone skin as that probably means the person has lesions/open wounds on their face. i had a couple popped pimples and this burned on me. i do not have sensitive skin usually. NOT RECOMMEND BRIGHT CITRUS SERUM: 🌟🌟 -ooh she stung when i applied. not sure if this was also because of the previous toner but i was very surprised as i don’t have sensitive skin. it’s a very very liquidy vit c serum and the shelf life is only 3 months. NOT RECOMMEND ROSE WATER FACE DEW: 🌟🌟🌟🌟 -the bottle came half full which i was confused about, but i do like the product inside. it’s got rosehip oil and rose water, so it came separated but you just shake it to mix. the mist is very fine and it moisturized my face and made me look dewy so overall very nice. RECOMMEND i have yet to try the charcoal mask and enzyme scrub. FADE ROUTINE OVERALL FIRST RATING: 🌟🌟🌟 - the holo bag is cool, the smoothie cleanser and face dew were wonderful. i didn’t like how the products came wrapped in plastic, and the bottles themselves were also plastic. will continue to test this kit and hopefully upload a part 2. #CherieCreator
