Products & Tips for Maskne 😷

FaceBareSkinCare
I have sensitive combination skin that is acne-prone so wearing a mask constantly at work is not helpful for my skin progress. I’ve been recommending a few products to friends and family and figured I’d share what has been working for me! Morning Mask Routine 😷 1. Matcha Hemp Cleanser by Krave 2. Flawless Serum by SkinKissed (Vitamin C and HA) 3. Great Barrier Relief by Krave (just in mask area) 4. Daily Greens by Farmacy 5. The Beet Shield by Krave (everywhere!) Night Mask Routine 🌝 1. Very Cherry Clean Balm by Farmacy 2. Matcha Hemp Cleanser by Krave 3. Great Barrier Relief by Krave 4. Retinal Moisturizer by Allies of Skin 5. Facial Oil (sometimes & it varies) Heavy Hitters ⚾️ 1. Great Barrier Relief Serum by Krave This serum is incredible. It mimics your natural skin barrier so it is perfect for a damaged moisture barrier as well as providing a barrier between your skin and your mask. The Niacinamide in this is also very useful for breakouts! 2. Allies of Skin Retinal /Moisturizer (Vitamin A) You do not need to buy a super expensive retinal product to have an effective retinal. This was a special purchase for myself and I love it but cheaper options exist! Retinal/ Retinol products can be tricky if it’s your first time but they are essentially acne treatment products because they increase your skin cell turnover. I find they increase healing time and prevent breakouts in the first place and I LOVE them for breakouts and breaking a cycle of acne. Retinol Tips: ✨Use at night as main active ingredient (general rule of thumb is to avoid mixing with Vitamin C) ✨Start with small amounts 1-2 times a week and work your way to more consistent use ✨Your skin may “purge” for a few weeks while starting out. That’s normal and it will go away if it is from purging. This can mean breakouts. I also had some peeling when I first started. ✨Pair with a heavier moisturizer to combat any dryness 3. Very Cherry Clean by Farmacy It doesn’t have to be this exact cleansing balm but always double cleanse your skin after lots of mask wearing! This can be any oil-based cleanser. I personally love taking my time, throwing on some music and gently rubbing this on my face for like 10-15 minutes. Why? Because not only do I properly pull off any oil, dirt, makeup and SPF, but it also removes blackheads. So gross but honestly you can see it working if you do it long enough! Blackheads are oil so it makes sense that an oil would be great to clean them out. General Maskne Tips: 💦 Wash your masks between each use 💦 Double cleanse your face as soon as you get home 💦Using a clay mask or sulfur mask once or twice a week will help remove impurities from the skin 💦 Let your skin breathe when you can- I avoid foundation/ CC cream whenever possible and I think it helps me personally. 💦 If you’re really struggling, I’d recommend using the Healing Ointment as a day moisturizer. Talk about a barrier between your skin and your mask! What are your maskne tips??

Is Luxury Retinal Worth It? 🤔
I have sensitive combination skin and I’m also acne-prone and deal with hormonal acne. This means that retinol is very important to my routine to increase cell turnover and help with breakouts. ✨This prodict is the 1A Retinal & Peptides Overnight Mask by Allies of Skin. It consists of a peptide complex, 9 antioxidants, 5 brighteners and retinaldehyde. I purchased this from the AoS website after seeing it all over the skincare Instagram community. ✨This product is luxury and super expensive at $109 for 1.7 oz. However, with all the rave reviews of this brand I figured I’d start with this item which I will shell out for so here we are. ✨The product says to use their probiotic mist before use for best results so I sometimes use one from a different brand that I love and put it on as my main product for the night besides cleansing beforehand then adding eye cream and lip balm. ✨It smells amazing. It’s refreshing in a light citrus kind of way. The texture itself is silky and light and the product is a light yellow color. 🌻I like this a lot but I’m not sure I’d buy it again because of the price point. I feel like it works in terms of helping with breakouts and I’m definitely curious to try the new formula without essential oils but this is highly expensive and I’ll probably try the Crystal Retinal by MediK8 next which has been on my list. If a product is this expensive, it has to be a miracle worker for me to buy it again at this rate. I will however be trying their Vitamin C and moisturizer at some point. I think if a product is amazing and the most effective, it is worth the splurge but I’m not sure this is the holy grail retinal for me. Allies of Skin Retinal First Impressions🖤
I have sensitive combination skin and I’m also acne-prone and deal with hormonal acne. This means that retinol is very important to my routine to increase cell turnover and help with breakouts. ✨This little beauty is the 1A Retinal & Peptides Overnight Mask by Allies of Skin. It consists of a peptide complex, 9 antioxidants, 5 brighteners and of course retinaldehyde. ✨This product is highly expensive at $109 for 1.7 oz but I was able to snag a 20% off code for this purchase. Yes, this was a purchase. I’m not willing to spend a ton on most skincare anymore because I’ve found some favorites that are super affordable- check out Krave Beauty. However, with all the rave reviews of this brand I figured I’d start with the one skincare item I will shell out for so here we are. ✨The product says to use their probiotic most before use for best results so I used one from a different brand that I love and put it on as my main product for the night besides eye cream and lip balm. ✨It smells amazing- I can’t quite put my finger on it though. It’s refreshing in a light citrus kind of way. The texture itself is silky and light and the product is a light yellow color. The next morning, my active breakouts had calmed down a lot and even seem to have healed a bit which is impressive because I was expecting my current ones to be destructive for at least another week or two. 🌻I have a great feeling about this product but not a great feeling about my bank account💁🏼‍♀️ Allies of Skin - 1A Retinal & Peptides Overnight Mask

🌍Eco friendly skincare packaging = the future
Glass packaging in skincare really is the wave when it comes to sustainability! Glass jars reduce the quantity of plastic waste created by the beauty industry, and I’m for it. I love repurposing glass jars to store other items like jewelry, homemade creams and candle wax! Something Youth to the People does that I find amazing is they sell a large bottle that you can refill smaller bottles with. My mini is now a travel must for me, and instead of purchasing again and again I just refill it! 🍀🌴☘️ I also think it’s an amazing cleanser so it’s a win-win. Current Vitamin C Serum Review 🍊
☀️ I have sensitive combination skin that is acne-prone. I always use a Vitamin C serum during the morning and have been using this for a few months. I’m currently in the middle of my second bottle and finally feel ready to share my thoughts. 🍊 This is the Flawless face serum by SkinKissed. It is 20 ml and about $33. It has Vitamin C and Hyaluronic Acid. It is a natural product meant to help with hormonal spots, inflammation, dry skin, breakouts, acne scars, reducing fine lines and stretch marks. It is also cruelty-free. 🌈 I’ve been using this for months now and I’m very picky with Vitamin C products. I have used many and get very irritated when they oxidize quickly or when they’re super sticky when applied. This, however, I love! It doesn’t feel sticky at all, is very liquidy which I like prior to moisturizer and it works. I find this really effective for dark spots. My skin looks brighter than ever and although I wasn’t expecting to love this originally, I’d definitely recommend this product. *pr gifted with no obligation to post SKINKISSED - Flawless Serum #CheriePartner

Summer to Fall Skincare Routine Changes🍁
I have sensitive, acne-prone combo skin. I live in New England so when the weather changes I find I need to make some adjustments to my regular routines. I plan this out ahead of time so I know I have products on the shelf and ready because when it gets cold here, it happens FAST. My current summer base routine for the day (pictured): 1. Water-based cleanser ☀️ Current = Matcha Hemp Cleanser by Krave 2. Vitamin C serum with Hyaluronic Acid ☀️Current = Face Serum by SkinKissed 3. Moisturizer ☀️ Current = Daily Greens by Farmacy 4. Sunscreen ☀️ Current = Beet Shield by Krave As it is now summer, this is a lightweight routine and I love it. This addresses my concerns without making me feel greasy. When fall comes, my goals are the same in terms of preventing acne, keeping skin bright, etc., but I also need to focus on hydration. Here’s an example of what I’m thinking💭 🍁 Fall Routine 🍁 1. Cleanser = Matcha Hemp Cleanser by Krave $16 for 4.05 oz This cleanser is actually already very hydrating for my skin and I love the ingredient list, price point and of course it’s packed with antioxidants. This is a year round product for me now and I’ve been recommending it to my friends. 2. Vitamin C- Vitamin C Serum by Mad Hippie $33.99 for 1oz I’m struggling a bit with Vitamin C. I like the one I have, I’m just ready to try something new and this one looks INCREDIBLE. It has amazing ingredients that are anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant, soothing, brightening and hydrating. This product is also vegan and cruelty-free. I always have a Vitamin C serum in my morning routine because it helps my skin so much! I’m also going to try the one by Naturium just to see if it was worth the hype and drama. 3. Moisturizer Day time- Oat So Simple by Krave $28 for 2.7 oz This will be a new one for me, but as you can tell, I adore Krave. This still looks fairly lightweight and with the oat, it is calming for irritations and rebalancing for stressed skin damaged by environmental aggressors. Night time- Healing Ointment by CeraVe $12 for 5oz I stopped using this at night for summer, but as things get cold here, having that layer of super hydration at night will really help my skin again. I love this product. It’s super affordable and honestly always helps. It has Hyaluronic Acid and Ceramides in it too. 4. Sunscreen = Centella Unscented Sunscreen by Purito $15.90 for 2oz I stopped using this for summer because it’s a bit thicker than Beet Shield and more hydrating which I didn’t need this season. This has soothing properties and feels smooth on the skin. I absolutely love this and will use it each morning when it starts to get chilly! I’m also buying it for my mom who struggles with dry patches and redness. 🍁What are you adding into your routine for fall? I am not made for minimalism: Rate My Routine
So first I have to say the PEACH & LILY - Power Calm Hydrating Gel Cleanser was half off at Ulta and I decided to try it as my morning cleanser. That was a mistake and why I am broken out in these pictures. Pics are no makeup/filter. My skin is normal /dry. It is incredibly reactive. I can’t use any actives not retinol not HA nor any of the acids. I have one age spot because I avoid the sun like a plague and always wear sunscreen and a hat. This is why my skincare system is so simple and focuses on adding moisture. CAUDALIE - Make-Up Removing Cleansing Oil An HG Product. It feels great and makes a nice clean start to the day. Also fragrance free!!!! AM ONLY: fresh - Soy Makeup Removing Face Wash I keep coming back to it because it doesn’t irritate my skin or cause breakouts but I don’t really love it. It works. Meh. PM ONLY: OSEA - Ocean Cleanser I can’t use this every wash because of the lactic acid but it is incredibly effective at making my face glow and getting rid of acne scars and breakouts. I wash my face and then let it sit for two minutes (a cherie trick) and wow does that make a huge difference. It has a distinct smell that takes some getting used to and it produces a tiny bit of foam that you really don’t want to get in your eyes. acwell - Licorice pH Balancing Cleansing Toner I like the way this product feels. My skin feels fresh after I use it. The texture is really thin and it takes a while to absorb. H2O+ - Hydration Sensitive Essence I haven’t decided how I feel about this product yet. I am allergic to the moisturizer and the cleanser in this line. I do like the milky texture and the way it doesn’t lay on my skin but seems to absorb while I am not paying attention. Krave - Great Barrier Relief My great HG love that keeps my face from drying out. Let us never be separated. KINSHIP - Pimple Potion Retinal + Salicylic Acid Acne Treatment is slowly, but surely, getting rid of the milia on my chin. It is this orange-yellow color and has a thick lotiony texture. innisfree - Olive Real Power Cream Ex. A little goes a loooong way. I have struggled to find a moisturizer because I was applying lotion 5-6 times a day and DE isn’t cheap. This is 1/3 of the price and works 4x as well at keeping my face moisturized. It has a pleasant citrus smell and the whipped gel texture is nice. dear, klairs - Fundamental Nourishing Eye Butter This has a really nice creamy but not to thick texture. I use it twice a day and my eye bags have been reduced by 90%. The container is a pain to deal with and dispense product from. AM (Coming Soon) Krave - The Beet Shield How am I doing?

Maskne Products 😷
I have sensitive combo skin that is super acne-prone so wearing a mask all day is definitely NOT helping. Here are the products I’ve been leaning on this year that have been working! 💙Healing Ointment by CeraVe $12 for 5oz I cannot articulate how much I love this product. I use it for everything but on my face I use it mostly at nighttime on my skin and lips as a moisturizer. I find it to be incredibly healing and soothing and it pairs well with heavier actives for fighting breakouts like retinals and acids. It’s a thick clear gel texture and such a miracle worker. If I had to wear my mask constantly- I might use this in that area during the day as well to prevent an additional barrier from the skin. This is holy grail status for me. 💚Great Barrier Relief $28 for 1.52 fl oz Key Ingredients: Tamanu Oil, Safflower Oil, Rosehip Oil, Vitamin B3, Ceramide These ingredients are great for the skin from regeneration to hyperpigmentation, anti-aging, brightening and acne fighting. It’s great for generally repairing your moisture barrier too. This is turning into an all time favorite with this ingredient list and I love using it day and nighttime. For the day, I use it after a vitamin c serum in my mask area. I think it’s been really helping to create a barrier and prevent breakouts from constant mask wearing. This product is great for mimicking your skin’s natural moisture barrier so it’s great for skin that needs help from too many actives, sunburn, etc. ❤️Beet Shield by Krave $20 for 50ml 🔑 Key Ingredients: Beet root, Allantoin, Vitamin C, Resveratrol and EGCG. This daytime fluid has ingredients that overall give skin antioxidants, prevent signs of aging, soothe skin, fight free radicals, reduce pigmentation, reduce blemishes and moisturize. This is packed with antioxidants. It has Vitamin C in it which will help with acne scars that are healing and for generally brightening skin. It’s also really lightweight which I prefer under a mask. This is a chemical screen that doesn’t leave skin sticky or leave a white cast. I feel like using this and their serum has maintained my clear skin even with the mask. General tips: ✨Double cleanse your skin at night ✨Regularly wash your masks ✨Avoid make-up under your mask ✨Silk face masks are supposed to also be useful and I’m planning to get one soon. LETS EXFOLIATE
This is my weekly Friday night DRUNK ELEPHANT - T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacial Mask routine. This is a AHA/BHA mask that helps with texture, wrinkles and tone. I only do this before bed bc I like to double cleanse before applying my mask. I typically double cleanse in the shower with BANILA CO - Clean It Zero Cleansing Balm Nourishing and Kate Somerville - DeliKate Soothing Cleanser then apply PETER THOMAS ROTH - Cucumber Gel Mask Extreme Detoxifying Hydrator this mask is cooling and hydrating. I feel like this mask preps my skin for the exfoliation. When I get out of the shower I apply the DRUNK ELEPHANT - T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacial Mask I leave this on for the suggested 20min. I use a washcloth to rinse off the mask with warm water, then I apply my hydrating products. I love NATURIUM - Hyaluronic Acid Essence 2% and NATURIUM - Quadruple Hyaluronic Acid Serum 5% I use both of these products in my everyday routines to help keep my skin hydrated. I then lock in all the hydration by slathering on PAULA'S CHOICE - Omega+ Complex Moisturizer mixed with eitherNATURIUM - Virgin Marula Face Oil 100% or NATURIUM - Plant Squalane Face Oil 100% Last but not least I seal all these products in with CeraVe - Healing Ointment I feel like this pushes all the products in, like a sleeping mask. I have to lay on my back until it soaks in because it will get on my pillows. This weekly self care has really helped my skin texture and dark spots. I want to try the ordinary AHA/BHA next. I have used this once a week for the past 4 weeks, so far without any irratation. Tell me what you think about this routine down in the comments. ***I did not edit my before and after pics***

Cerave Healing Ointment AKA Dry Skin Saver😍
I’m using Tretinoin, which is absolutely amazing for acne and fine lines. However, it is also know for dry skin. At night time, I’ll use my retinoid (Tretinoin) and my moisturizer. Afterwards I’ll use the Cerave Healing Ointment to seal in moisture. While this may look super greasy, it can help sooo much with dry skin. I also recommend satin or silk pillowcases when using this product❤️

Sunscreen Is Always and Forever
Sunscreen is an essential part of any skincare routine. It is the number one proven preventative treatment for anti-aging. The sun’s rays, most specifically UVA and UVB, are damaging to our skin. They cause free radical damage, something that plays a role in collagen breakdown and inflammation; two things that are super important to pay attention to when talking about anti-aging. Plus, those rays exist in all weather, rain or shine, so sunscreen is a must! Sunscreen is also one of the first steps in treating hyperpigmentation! The sun activates our melanin production, like a tan. This over-production is exaggerated whenever we experience trauma to the skin, like a cut or a blemish. With those of us who have more melanin, we are more likely to produce stronger hyperpigmentation. With the use of sunscreen, we can help the fading time of hyperpigmentation to speed up! As a sunscreen lover myself, I have a few favorites, the one that will always have my heart year-round are: Krave - The Beet Shieldis a chemical sunscreen with SPF 50. Packed with a lot of soothing ingredients! Sits amazingly under makeup too! PAULA'S CHOICE - Youth-Extending Daily Hydrating Fluidis a chemical sunscreen with SPF 50. Packed with tons of hydrating ingredients and antioxidants. This can replace your moisturizer in warmer months! Something I only like reaching for when it’s warmer is the PAULA'S CHOICE - Super-Light Daily Wrinkle Defense SPF 30It is tinted and leaves a silky matte finish on the skin. Some that I have my eyes on to try next include Black Girl Sunscreen. It has been deemed better for drier skin types year-round or if you lean oily, it is great for the colder weather. It is known for its beautiful glowy finish! Another one I have my eyes on that has been getting incredible reviews, that can be used year-round, is the Soothe Bamboo Sun Essence by Keep Cool. Regardless of your choice, if it works for you, that’s the sunscreen that matters!

First Impressions: Krave Beauty 🌊
First Impressions: Krave Beauty 🌊
I’ve been wanting to try out this brand for so long because not only did read wonders about its formulations and ingredients but also because of their mission and stance on environmental sustainability 🌱 💡About the Brand: The focus for the brand was to simplify your skin care routine to the essentials and to repair of your skin’s natural barrier function. Alongside simplifying the skin care routine, the company stands for the reduction of overconsumption. For example: using up your products before restocking- this process will help consumers to purchase products less frequently, thus reducing waste and mass production. ❗️ Krave Beauty has 6 products categorized into either core (cleanser, moisturizer, sunscreen) or supplement (toner, serum) ✅ The Products: Krave - Oat So Simple Water Cream Creamy. Light. Nourishing. Plumpness. I have normal skin leaning toward oily in the summer. When I look for moisturizers I’m not one to look for extra extra light ones. THIS ONE is a good medium between light and heavy. It makes me feel hydrated long after applied. Krave - Great Barrier Relief First thought was - hmm this smells different. I can’t really put my finger on it BUT I don’t think it’s a bad smell. And once you work it in, the smell dissipates. It’s a light weight creamy serum that easily sinks into your skin. I bought this because Liah claims that the Tamanu Oil in the serum will help with scarring and hyperpigmentation. I’m excited to test this out long term and see if my scars fade away! Krave - Matcha Hemp Hydrating Cleanser Amazing soft scent. I definitely notice the oat and matcha (since I consume those often 😂). The cleanser is gentle and lightly foams when you work it in. I let my face dry afterwards and sat with it for about 15 minutes and I did not feel dryness AT ALL. 💭 Overall Thoughts: As for a first impression, I don’t think I have any bad things to say about it tbh. No Fragrance. Nourishing Ingredients. Suitable for all skin types. IM A FAN 🤩 I’ll have to check in in a couple of months to give an updated review.

Calming gel cream for oily & acne-prone skin
Calming gel cream for oily & acne-prone skin
I’ve been trying out some new gel creams lately and my latest one is the íUNIK - Centella Calming Gel Cream . This gel cream claims to provide brightening benefits, wrinkle care, and calming skin relief for sensitive and blemish prone skin. It contains 70% centella asiatica leaf water, 10% tea tree leaf water, niacinamide, arginine, sodium hyaluronate, allantoin, centella asiatica, and a ton of botanicals. This has a lightweight, opaque gel cream texture that smoothly glides over the skin. As you’re applying it, it turns into an almost watery consistency that melts into the skin. Once fully absorbed, it leaves a nice hydrating finish without feeling heavy or greasy. This was actually my first iunik product, and I was quite impressed with it. I can see why Hyram approves of it so much. It layers well over products without any pilling issues and keeps my skin adequately hydrated throughout the day. It also doesn’t make me greasier as the day progresses either. The calming and brightening benefits of this are nice as well since my skin looks slightly brighter and less red after application. I can’t comment much on the wrinkle care as I don’t really have any to worry about at the moment. There aren’t any fragrance in the formula but it does have a citrus scent due to the bergamot oil. Luckily, this hasn’t irritated or cause any breakouts which is always a win for me. This is a great moisturizer for oily skin types. Overall, this is another great gel cream to add to my routines and I’ve been thoroughly enjoying it. I can definitely see myself repurchasing this.

THE Most Underrated Skincare Brand 🏆
THE Most Underrated Skincare Brand 🏆
I have sensitive combination skin that is acne-prone. I was dealing with a lot of hormonal acne as well but I’ve finally gotten it a bit more under control but do get breakouts and acne scars still. I’m also very sensitive to fragrance. Recently I bought a few products from Krave and I never plan on going back. They don’t have the fullest range just yet but the products they do have are total rockstars in affordability and ingredients. 🌱 Krave is all about taking a clean break. There are a lot of misconceptions and nasties in the skincare world that are not needed and not smart. Krave is all about taking a break from that and resetting. Here are my current favorites: ✨Great Barrier Relief Serum $28 for 1.52 fl oz 🔑 Key Ingredients: Tamanu Oil, Safflower Oil, Rosehip Oil, Vitamin B3, Ceramide These ingredients are for skin regeneration, hyperpigmentation, anti-aging, brightening, acne-fighting and generally repairing a damaged skin barrier. This serum is turning into an all time favorite between the ceramide and niacinamide ingredient list. I actually use this after a lighter Vitamin C serum during the morning on my mask area and I think it’s been really helping to create a barrier and prevent breakouts from constant mask wearing. This product is great for mimicking your skin’s natural moisture barrier so it’s great for skin that needs help from too many actives, sunburn, etc. ✨The Beet Shield $20 for 50ml 🔑 Key Ingredients: Beet root, Allantoin, Vitamin C, Resveratrol and EGCG. This daytime fluid has ingredients that overall give skin antioxidants, prevent signs of aging, soothe skin, fight free radicals, reduce pigmentation, reduce blemishes and moisturize. This is a chemical screen that is very lightweight. It doesn’t leave skin sticky or leave a white cast. It also has Vitamin C which I love! I feel like using this and their serum has maintained my clear skin even with the mask. Matcha Hemp Hydrating Cleanser $16 for 4.05 fl oz 🔑 Key Ingredients: Matcha, hemp seeds, oats, almonds, Vitamin B5 and Sodium PCA. ✨This cleanser is stunning. It is highly hydrating and skin barrier friendly. This can be used morning and night and a little goes a long way. The normal amount I’ve used in the past covered my fave, neck, chest and back so I’ve been able to use less by using this product as well. It doesn’t strip the skin and packs a gorgeous punch of antioxidants and hydration while cleansing. Perfection. ♻️ You can also choose carbon offset shipping for $1 more when ordering from them and the products come in a 100% recyclable carton with no excess fillers. Review My Nighttime Routine 🌙
Review My Nighttime Routine 🌙
✨ I have sensitive combination skin that is acne-prone and I also get hormonal breakouts. My skin doesn’t love fragrance and also really benefits from consistency. 🍉At night, I double cleanse to remove make-up, dirt, SPF and impurities. I typically use Farmacy’s Very Cherry Clean balm and Krave Beauty’s Matcha Hemp Cleanser which are gentle and packed with perks from Vitamin C to antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties. 🍊After that, I use an eye cream. Lately, I’ve been using my mini Jet Lag mask for this purpose and love it. I find this mask to be so multifunctional and really hydrating. Sometimes I’ll use it as a nighttime moisturizer too but not tonight. 🍋Although it varies depending on the night and need that day of my skin, last night I went in with a retinol once my skin was drier after washing rather than keeping it wet for a different serum like HA, etc. I don’t adore this retinol and have a new one coming from Allies of Skin but this does a good job with cell turnover despite the questionably long ingredient list and questionable customer service/behavior of the brand. 🍏After that, I used this moisturizer by Farmacy which I wasn’t in love with at first but it is growing on me, especially for summertime where I want a bit of a lighter finish compared to some of my winter nighttime moisturizers. 🍇Then to lock everything in, I use this gorgeous oil by Leah Skin. This is an oil that actually can be paired with retinol according to the brand owner because it is a stable form of Vitamin C which is super cool. 🌈 I like this routine quite a lot minus the retinol although it does the job for now. 🐌 Gary Had Secrets - Secrets to Hydration 🐌
🐌 Gary Had Secrets - Secrets to Hydration 🐌
When I think of skincare, I don’t think of snail mucin (slime - snail secretion filtrate) but lo and behold it exists and its a holy grail product 🐌🙌🏻🐌 The ancient Greeks knew Gary’s secret looong before I did. Then France, then Chile, then Korea. Basically everyone else way before me. 💁🏻‍♀️ Snail mucin is actually incredibly beneficial to skin thanks to some of the different components in it: glycolic acid glycoprotein enzymes copper peptides hyaluronic acid Its also...anti-microbial 🐌 All of these pieces make it great for repairing skin damage, evening skin tone, fading hyperpigmentation, firming and tightening the skill, boosting collagen production and hydrating the skin thanks to its hyaluronic acid. Do I like it? Absolutely I do! Its one of the only moisturizers I’ve ever found that soaks into my skin so nicely and leaves my skin feeling so plump and hydrated AND it hasn’t caused any acne flare-ups for me at all. Actually its been helping my skin stay hydrated and keeping my acne down. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Price? The price is comparable to some other Ulta / Sephora beauty picks, but its also a fair price considering a little goes a long way ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Recommend for? I’d recommend it for all skin types, even oily 🙋🏻‍♀️ It is on the lighter side though, so dry / dehydrated skin types might not benefit as much from it. But if you’re in the market for a lightweight moisturizer, give it a try 🙌🏻 Texture? Not gonna lie, its a little slimy / sticky and it took me about ten minutes of just playing with it between my fingers before I actually put it on my face. But, it spreads easily and absorbs quickly ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Overall thoughts? Overall this product is amazing, its hydrating but light and it really is the only product that I’ve used that has really brought my dehydrated skin back to life and even moreso when combined with my other hydrating products. It makes me hesitant to even think of trying a different moisturizer because my skin feels sooo good ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Ingredients? Snail Secretion Filtrate, Betaine, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Cetearyl Olivate, Sorbitan Olivate, Sodium Hyaluronate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Stearic acid, Arginine, Dimethicone, Carbomer, Panthenol, Allantoin, Sodium Polyacrylate, Xanthan Gum, Ethyl Hexanediol, Adenosine, Phenoxyethanol.
