My Favorite Products for Dry Hair 💦
I have thin hair that has been bleached blonde. It is super long and I struggle with breakage and dryness. I’ve found the following in the beauty community on Instagram and they’re amazing and now my go to products. ✨Honey-Infused Hair Oil by Gisou $87 for 3.4 fl oz or $46 for 1.7 fl oz This product can be used daily for as a pre-styler and finisher or added to a hair mask for extra hydration. It can also be used as an overnight treatment. Honey is the focus of this and it has minerals, vitamins, amino acids and antioxidants. It is a very hydrating product in skin and hair care so it’s perfect for my dryness. This product is gorgeous and they recently just launched at Sephora in the US. It is lightweight and smells incredible. This makes my hair look way better, feel softer and tames any flyaways. To use this, I take the dropper, fill it up to whatever it naturally pulls and rub my hands together with it before brushing it through damp hair or dry hair. I use this product daily in the mornings on slightly damp hair or dry hair. I tend to use it just once a day and pair it with their honey-infused hair perfume. ✨Number 5 by Olaplex This is the conditioner by Olaplex and I’ll use it every other day if not daily. This product repairs hair from the inside out with specialized technology. This product works on a molecular level to repair damaged bonds in the hair. It also increases the strength and restores elasticity and protects it from further breakage. They also have a great hair mask too! I find that nothing makes my hair feel healthier. It is thick and smells fruity in a light way. I adore this and want to try all of their products! ✨What are your favorite dry hair saviors? gisou - Honey Infused Hair Oil

Honey Hair Heaven
So I have been seeing this hair oil on here ever since I started using this app 9 months ago. I had always wanted to try it, but the price tag kept me at bae. However, after becoming enthralled with Farmacy’s Honey line, and using a DIY honey hair mask, I knew that I needed these products in my life. Gisou’s owner, Negin, has a family owned and operated beehive! How cool is that? It makes me believe that this product contains the highest quality and freshest honey on the market. So how did I like it? Fragrance: Let me start by saying the fragrance, is fantastic. It revivals Sol de Janeiro’s Bum Bum Cream, which is my favorite scent of all my products. It has sweet honey notes, but also some floral that makes me nostalgic about my mom’s perfume. Texture: the honey hair oil feels less greasy than most hair oils and has some thickness to it. The mask is thick, rich, and creamy. It almost seems whipped. Hydration: the oil kicks dry hair’s butt! You only need to use a little bit and concentrate it on your ends if you are prone to getting oily. Tips and tricks: Oil: I use the hair oil as the last step of my post-shower hair routine. I only use it on the bottom 2/3 of my hair, concentrating on the ends. I only use 1-2 drops. Mask: the mask is to be applied to roots and ends, after shampooing, and left on for 5 minutes. It is also encouraged to mix a drop or two of the oil into the mask if you own it. Since this hydrating mask was applied to my roots, without using a product to help remove residue after, it left my hair a little weighed down. (I never use a mask on my roots without shampooing after, so this was no big surprise.) However, I found the perfect routine to fix this. I have to double shampoo because I have a medicated shampoo for my psoriasis that smells like 🤬 so I always follow up with a regular hydrating shampoo. I used this mask in between my 2 shampoos, so I could apply it to clean hair but also remove the buildup. I then followed up with a conditioner. If your hair doesn’t get weighed down easily, you might be able to use it per instructions, however, this method left my hair soft and hydrated without feeling weighed down! Just perfect 🤩

I’ve used this every day since Christmas and I love it! These all smell so good and have left my hair soft and hydrated. My favorite thing is the Honey Infused Hair Oil, a little goes a looooooong way and makes my hair so shiny and smooth. I absolutely love it! I’d want to try the bigger sizes and maybe the hair perfume too. And the primer. Just all of it. I’ll try all of it

blonde upkeep on Asian hair ✨
I went from virgin black hair at the roots to a light ashy blonde in one session! For most this might be extremely damaging. Luckily, I have an amazing stylist that was able to lift my hair without causing any major damage. That being said here are the products I’ve been loving since going blonde: amika: - Bust Your Brass Cool Blonde Shampoo If you have blonde hair it is a MUST to use purple shampoo! It tones down any brass tones. I love this one by Amika and use just a little dime size amount mixed with my every day shampoo. OLAPLEX - No. 3 Hair Perfector This is an amazing product for smoothing hair follicles while strengthening too. I love this product! However, I feel that it’s pretty spendy for the amount you get in one bottle. OLAPLEX - No. 4 Bond Maintenance Shampoo OLAPLEX - No.5 Bond Maintenance Conditioner Love this shampoo and conditioner duo. I have naturally straight and frizzy hair, but this duo has helped smooth my hair entirely and help maintain the color. OLAPLEX - No. 6 Bond Smoother Reparative Styling Creme The smell of this product is to die for 🤩 I use this after I shower and towel dry. A little bit goes a long way with this! BEACHWAVER Co. - Pro Rotating Curling Iron Love the beach waver, but dislike the price. You can achieve the same style of waves with a regular curler. However, I can style all of my hair in less than 15 min with this. It’s all about convenience in my opinion.
How to Fix Hair Static ❄️
I have thin, straight hair so when winter comes and I need my little hat, my hair goes wild! But why? ❄️ What is hair static? ❄️ Hair static is when your hair gains an electric charge. This can happen from friction and a change in humidity. This makes the hair pieces separate from each other and of course adds challenges for styling. Generally this happens more in the winter due to the low humidity. Here are some tips to prevent this! ✨Use a hair oil My favorite one is my Gisou. It is lightweight and made with honey so it is very hydrating and helps me with flyaways and general hair frizz even when it is summertime. This doesn’t leave hair heavy or sticky and I feel like this always makes my hair look and feel better. Not to mention it smells amazing! This comes in a mini and full size and is now available at Sephora. Also it’s so luxurious and the glass packaging is gorgeous. This has three sizes now, the mini is $25 and 0.7 oz so that’s probably a good place to start but I purchased the 1.7 oz for $46 and LOVE it. I will be purchasing the full size too. ✨You can buy anti-frizz sheets This is a new discovery for me and I haven’t tried them yet but rather than dryer sheets which are not meant for your hair, these sheets have things like coconut oil in them and are meant to be used on flyaways and the hair line to help with static. These can be found on Amazon! ✨Use hydrating hair products This could be your shampoo, conditioner and even the occasional hair mask but these will also help a lot with static. You’re going to want to avoid any drying products as well. I personally love Olaplex products because they repair hair from the inside out and smell so good 🍓 This is 8.5 oz and $28. They also have a cute holiday set out for $60 which has the shampoo, conditioner, hair mask and bond smoother. Also, when styling your hair, make sure to use a heat-protector which will lock in the moisture! gisou - Honey Infused Hair Oil OLAPLEX - No.5 Bond Maintenance Conditioner #CheriePartner
Mr. Incredible or Mr. Okay?
I received a drybar mini kit a while ago after a blowout a while ago and I liked some of the products, so in my quest for a good leave in conditioner I decided to take the plunge and buy this leave-in. If you can’t tell from the photo, this product is in an aerosol can and comes out in a mousse-like consistency, a lot different than other leave ins I’ve used. It’s recommended on the bottle that you spray it in your hands and then work it through your hair. It smells really sweet, like candy, and it wasn’t irritating to my allergies which was nice! The bottle claims that this is the “ultimate” leave-in conditioner witht a whole host of benefits from softening, defrizzing, detangling and repairing damage. The product is thick and didn’t really absorb into my hair, and gave it a kind of slimy texture. I really just coated my strands and weighed down my curls. After about a month of use, I didn’t notice any change other than a buildup of product and dull strands. Overall it was a major let down. This product is probably better for people with thicker or straight hair, but for this price point, there are way better options. drybar - Mr. Incredible The Ultimate Leave-In Conditioner gets 2 stars for me!

This is too moisturizing for 2B curls
Here's one cute illustration I enjoyed creating for @amika The Kure repair shampoo 🤩 I love how I drew the doodle design on the packaging...it turned out great💖 The milk splash part was the most intricate yet fun!😍❤️ amika: - The Kure Repair Shampoo for Damaged Hair This shampoo is perfect for: ✓Straight ✓ Wavy ✓ Curly ✓ Coiled ✓ Tightly Coiled ✨What it is: A keratin-rich shampoo that repairs, restores, and revitalizes dry, damaged, and overstressed hair. ✨Key benefits: - Restores moisture, elasticity, luster, and smoothness - Improves hairs' manageability and shine - Provides vital nutrients to smooth and nourish hair ✨If you want to know more… The Kure Repair Shampoo's keratin-rich formula restores damaged hair to health and vibrancy. Hydrolyzed wheat protein increases the hair’s ability to retain moisture for revitalized, shiny hair with improved manageability. Avocado oil provides nourishment and smoothing from important nutrients like protein, vitamin A, D, E, B6, amino acid. Just a heads up with this formula and ingredients. I liked this shampoo but for my 2B curly and frizzy hair I found it to be too moisturizing hence it makes my hair flat and I experience less volume. I love @amika and many of their products but this isn't my most favorite one! 😊🌿 I like some other shampoos better, this one sadly didn’t make my hair look the way I was expecting!

MY HOLY GRAILS FOR COARSE HAIR
I still haven’t gotten around to getting my hair cut after lockdown, and as a result my normally straight and smooth hair is feeling pretty coarse, especially the ends. Here are some products that I’ve found help make my hair look and feel much better! Mise En Scene Perfect Repair Hair Serum This oil and silicone-based hair serum comes in a pump bottle that dispenses the perfect amount of serum for my hair. I usually apply 1 to 1 ½ pumps of hair serum, any more than that and it can weigh my hair down. It contains a mix of plant oils including: Argan, Camellia, Coconut, Apricot, Marula, Jojoba, and Olive Oil. My tip for this product is to apply it to slightly damp hair, then blow dry for maximum shine and smoothness. It has a floral smell (which I love) and a single bottle seems to last a really, really long time.I bought mine in Korea in January this year and I’m barely a quarter of the way through it now, so it will last me a while! L’Oreal Elvive/Elseve Extraordinary Oil Conditioner A good conditioner helps smooth coarse hair, too. This one also has a lot of plant oils to condition hair and make it smooth and silky. It also has a floral yet sweet scent that I love—I love nice-smelling hair care, okay?! I apply a pretty generous amount to my lengths and ends of hair (never roots, that’s how you get greasy flat roots). I’ve actually repurchased this many times before and I’ll continue to buy it (until I get bored of the scent, that is…) Both of these are affordable, drugstore picks that I’d happily recommend to anyone that’s looking for great hair care that smooths down coarse hair.

This shampoo is so lathery. A little goes a long way and it cleans the scalp extremely well. I’ve been using Acure shampoos and conditioners for a whole year and a half now and my hair just thrives with it. If you’re looking for a shampoo that’ll give your hair a healthy shine without harsh chemicals I would give this brand a try :) and it’s curly girl method safe ;) The only thing I would say that makes this bad is the fragrance. It’s not super strong but it is fake fragrance, which is most times bad for us. It doesn’t take any type of effect on my hair specifically, but you probably won’t care anyways if you already use scented shampoos :) ACURE - Body Beautiful Shampoo, Pear & Fig

Gorgeous Honey Hair Oil
🍯This is the honey-infused hair oil by Gisou. It is meant to help hydrate hair and help with flyaways🍯 🐝 I have thin and dry hair and adore this. This product is pure luxury. I love using this to add hydration and softness to my hair especially when it’s feeling dry. I don’t find it to be heavy or sticky at all. It makes my hair feel healthier and a little goes a long way. 🍯It also smells absolutely heavenly and comes in a gorgeous glass container. The dropper is also glass too! So cute. Five stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ gisou - Honey Infused Hair Oil

💜💜 Perfect purple shampoo for blonde babes!
I have naturally dark brown hair that is bleached balayage, therefore I still need to use purple products to keep my blonde pieces from becoming brassy. This has become my new favorite shampoo for toning my bleached hair! It keeps my blonde hair ashy and doesn’t dry out my hair like I’ve experienced with other purple shampoos. It also smells amazing! I definitely recommend this purple shampoo for anyone wanting that lovely ashy blonde look.
