My Favorite Sunscreen ☀️
I have combination skin that is sensitive and acne-prone. I’m also someone who doesn’t like anything with a sticky feeling on my face! 🌱This is the Centella Green Level Unscented Sunscreen and it is gorgeous. ✨First of all, it passes the Not Sticky test and doesn’t leave a white cast at all. It’s basically another hydrating moisturizer for your face in the way it applies and interacts with the skin. For this reason, reapplying doesn’t feel gross or heavy and this is one of the few sunscreens I actually enjoy reapplying throughout the day which is so important! ✨This has Hyaluronic Acid in it as well as Centella to enhance the skin barrier which provides protection from ultraviolet rays and any external stressors. It also avoids things like fragrance and essential oils so it is good for sensitive skin. ✨This is $16 for 2 oz which in my opinion is great for what you’re getting. What’s your favorite sunscreen? 🌞

#sunscreensunday NOPE #sunscreeneveryday !!!! I was never one to put much thought into my my sunscreen, except a facial one usually choosing a drug store product that was acne friendly. Now I am very picky as to what I’ll use on my face, neck and décolletage. I HATE ones that leave a white cast unless I’m hanging on the beach and don’t have a care in the world. But when it comes to my daily choice, I much prefer a cast free version. Here are the ones I have in my arsenal right now. Supergoop was gifted from @cherie & Umbra from @influenster I purchased Green Defense and the other two came in past subscription boxes. . My favorite hands down is Supergoop! - Unseen Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 40 ($34) I definitely will be repurchasing this one and curious to try some others in their range. Unscreen Sunscreen is beautiful gel formula!!! It applies like a primer (imo) and my skin absorbs it quickly. I’m left without a hint of wearing anything except a soft, subtle glow! Definitely a 5/5 . I am not a fan of DRUNK ELEPHANT - Umbra Sheer Physical Daily Defense Broad Spectrum Sunscreen SPF 30 ($34) the scent or the white cast left behind. My skin always feels “oily” (not so much greasy) when using this. This one would be ok for my beach vacation. 3/5 . While FARMACY - Green Defense Daily Mineral Sunscreen ($36) leaves a white cast it doesn’t leave a heavy, greasy feeling on my face. It just takes FOREVER for the cast to go away and Farmacy claims no white cast. 🤨 Definitely not the case. 4/5 (this is a large dollop as it came out much quicker than expected) . I’m loving the newest one, Logically, Skin - Hydro Multi-Shield Sun Essence SPF 50+ PA++++ ($29) that I got with my @myfacetory sub box. Much like a lightweight lotion it goes on easily and sinks into the skin leaving no trace. 5/5 . The bottom of the pack is COOLA - Free Mineral Silk Sunscreen SPF 30 with brand pirchase ($42) Just not a fan of this one all around. I am curious to try others in their range as I feel they have great options to choose from. 2/5 . As you can see in the last slide I applied each product just as I would on my face all exactly the same (just small amounts). I then let it sit for approximately 5 mins before taking a photo. . Share with me what you’ve tried and what’s your favorite! I definitely have wanted to try the one by PURITO - Centella Green Level Unscented Sun SPF50+ (@ $20) and hope to add that to my collection soon!
Battle of the chemical sunscreens! ☀️
I’ve been trying different chemical sunscreens over the past year or so, and here are my thoughts! Bioré - UV Aqua Rich Watery Gel SPF 50+ PA++++ I bought this after seeing that it was a cult favorite on r/AsianBeauty. The texture is reminiscent of the Neutrogena Hydroboost Gel-Cream, except maybe a touch lighter. It’s a jelly-like gel-cream and has that same occlusive feeling. It has a light sunscreen-y scent, but not as strong as drugstore sunscreens. This didn’t irritate my skin, but I didn’t like the occlusive feeling. It made me feel oily, especially during the winter when I wore this over heavier moisturizers. However, my boyfriend has dry skin and loves this product. I would recommend it for people with dry skin as I would definitely consider this a moisturizing sunscreen! Supergoop! - Everyday Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 50 PA ++++ Supergoop is also a cult favorite for sunscreens and was recommended to me by my Curology provider. I really enjoyed this sunscreen! The texture is like a watery cream. It has a light scent (I’m not sure how to describe it? Vaguely floral?), but no synthetic fragrance. It’s water and sweat resistant—I’ve worn this sunscreen while hiking and skiing, and had no problems with reapplication. The only downside for me was that it is quite dewy and the shine doesn’t really die down. Might be better suited for dry skin rather than oily or combo skin. PURITO - Centella Green Level Unscented Sun SPF50+ I love this sunscreen! The texture is similar to Supergoop and is also a watery cream. It is scentless. The ingredients list is amazing and has soothing ingredients like glycerin, niacinamide, and madecassiside that you would normally find in a moisturizer. The finish is dewy, but unlike the Supergoop one, the dewiness does fade throughout the day. If I use a lot of hydrating layers before applying moisturizer and sunscreen, or reapply it throughout the day, this product can be a bit too dewy/occlusive for me, but overall I love this product and would repurchase! Krave - The Beet Shield This is my holy grail sunscreen! The texture is like a lotion-based serum—it’s watery and very light. This product is scentless and has antioxidants like beet root extract and resveratrol to help fight free radicals from sun damage. What I love about this product is that it doesn’t feel like you’re using a sunscreen, it feels more like an antioxidant serum. The finish is dewy, but it dies down pretty quickly and leaves you with a more natural-looking dewiness. Even after reapplying multiple layers throughout the day, I haven’t experienced any pilling. Liah Yoo, the founder of Krave Beauty, has said this sunscreen is not sweat resistant since they wanted to make a lighter formula that people would be encouraged to use everyday, but I don’t mind as this is so pleasant to apply for general daily use. Highly recommend this product!
I’m a sunscreen user now!!!!
PURITO - Centella Green Level Unscented Sun SPF50+ I have combo/sensitive skin. I’m not going to lie, before my skincare Instagram, I wasn’t an avid spf user but now I am. This purchase was totally influenced by insta but I’m so glad because it’s not your typical sunscreen!! There’s no white cast, no smell, rubs in like lotion. It’s just so perfect and lightweight and has never broken me out.

🌱𝐏𝐔𝐑𝐈𝐓𝐎 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐚 𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐋𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥 𝐔𝐧𝐬𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐒𝐮𝐧 𝐒𝐏𝐅𝟓𝟎+ 𝐏𝐀++++🌱 Contains their 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐨 𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬: Centella Asiatica extract, Hyaluronic Acid and Tocopherol. 𝐔𝐕 𝐟𝐢𝐥𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬: Uvinul A Plus (diethylamino hydroxybenzoyl hexyl benzoate) Uvinul T 150 (octyl triazone) _________________________ I really liked Purito’s Comfy Water sunblock so I was really excited to try this one. Since it’s marketed as great for acne prone skin, I thought I wouldn’t have any issue with this sunscreen. Unfortunately, it caused my skin bad reaction. I have used it twice so far, and in both times it made my face soo red and irritated that I ended up removing it after few hours. It leaves me a tacky feeling and a very shiny finish too. I thought I might have mixed it with a wrong ingredient at first try so I wore it alone the following day and still had the same reaction. I still can’t figure it out - I feel really disappointed. Does anyone else have the same experience? Perhaps it’s just my skin being oversensitive these days? 🤔 I’d probably still give this another try after a while. _________________________

My holy grail sunscreen!
PURITO - Centella Green Level Safe Sun Product Function: The Purito Centella Unscented Sunscreen is marketed as a hydrating sunscreen suited for even the most sensitive skin types. In my books, it lives up to these claims. With advanced chemical filters, this offers great sun protection and can be used as a daily sunscreen. Product Target Concerns: suited for any and all skin types that want a great SPF! If you’re looking to fight hyperpigmentation and signs of aging, it’s critical to include a good SPF in your daily routine. Texture: Lightweight, creamy, and moisturizing, making this the perfect sunscreen. Overall Thoughts & Opinions: after trying this, I never want to buy another sunscreen. It is truly such an impressive product and I get excited to use it every day, even though I’ve been using it for months at this point. There is NO WHITE CAST no matter how much you apply to your skin, which is an impressive feat in itself. It’s one of the few chemical sunscreens that doesn’t break me out and I love that I can skip moisturizer in the mornings when I use this because it’s so hydrating on its own. Would I recommend? Without a doubt. I’ve already bought a backup because I know that this is the perfect sunscreen for me. It’s also super affordable at $15/60ml, making this a budget-friendly option. It’s perfect all around, and I’m sure that if you try it, you’ll love it just as much as I do.

New Favorite SPF ☀️
I'm extremely picky when it comes to SPF, which makes knowing a good one that much easier! From first use I was so impressed with this SPF. Pros: ➕ blends in seamlessly ➕ leaves zero whitecast ➕ contains niacinamide to fight acne ➕ safe for sensitive and acne-prone skin ➕ hydrating but doesn't leave skin dewy or create more oil Cons: ➖ NONE It retails for $35 which is comparable to other SPFs and is easy to find online, I picked up mine from Dermstore. I will repurchase this over and over, it's absolutely my favorite. elta md SKINCARE - UV Clear Broad Spectrum SPF 46

My favorite sunscreen for ALL skin types🙌🏼🌞
When you’re out in the sun it’s so so sooo important to wear SPF. I covered a lot of this information in my previous post about sunscreen, but i got a lot of questions asking for good sunscreens for sensitive skin. Elta MD is by far my favorite one. It is perfect for any skin type, especially those with sensitive skin and acne prone skin. EltaMD UV Clear helps calm and protect sensitive skin types prone to discoloration and breakouts associated to acne and rosacea. It contains niacinamide (vitamin B3), hyaluronic acid and lactic acid, ingredients that promote the appearance of healthy-looking skin! It’s so lightweight and doesn’t leave a white cast on the skin at all 🙌🏼. It’s seriously great! Their full body sunscreen is amazing as well, I truly love this brand for SPF💕 #sunscreen #SPF #CherieCreator elta md SKINCARE - UV Clear Broad Spectrum SPF 46
